I love this place, although they have traditional breakfast this is not they always have many fun items that put a twist on the basics to try and drink! Staff were very friendly, joined the waitlist and only waited maybe 3 minutes! I had the Cinnamon Roll French Toast which is a MUST for people who like sweets and my friend had the apple fritter french toast both were amazing. I went to breakfast here with friends this morning, and was incredibly impressed. I had the shrimp and grits, and I can honestly say it was one of the best things I've ever eaten! The grits were cheesy and delicious. There was a spicy sauce mixed in and the shrimp were plentiful. My girlfriend had eggs benedict which were as pleasing to the eyes as they were delicious. I would highly recommend this place for either breakfast or brunch. I don't drink, but they also serve brunch cocktails if interested! I will definitely be back! read more

Came here midweek to meet a friend who lives in the area for lunch. Parking was hard to find as almost every space was taken in the lot surrounding the restaurant. I had to wait for someone to pull out of their space to park -- almost behind the restaurant. We came early to beat the lunch rush and most people were having breakfast. We chose instead to a share a couple of the "brunch" specials. Because we were first timers, we were comped a half order of beignets. We got them first to have with our coffee. Let's just say Cafe Du Monde has nothing to worry about. The so called beignets were like heavy pieces of a donut that was cut up and sugared. I don't recommend them. As the menu seemed to have a "southern" cuisine theme, we figured that was their specialty and ordered accordingly. We shared an order of fried green tomatoes and crab cakes. And an order of shrimp and grIts. The "jumbo" crab cakes fell apart when touched with a fork. They tasted more like tuna than crab meat. No chunks here. The tomato slices were heavily breaded little over fried circles. The medium sized shrimp were fine. They were mixed in with a few pieces of cut up sausage in a spicy sauce. The grits weren't very cheesy (per the menu) nor "creamy" and we weren't sure what the little triangular pizza like wedge pieces were supposed to be and didn't eat them. When I looked at the menu later, I saw they were supposed to have been garlic bread! On the other hand, service was good. The coffee was good. And they let us linger and chat without rushing us. If I'm ever back, I guess I'll try a simpler breakfast item. read more

It was my first visit to this restaurant not far from home. Im always looking for a good breakfast stop on the weekends. This place is a bit more than a breakfast stop. They serve all kinds of adult breakfast beverages and their menu is well suited for breakfast, brunch or lunch. The atmosphere was cheery and bright. It was 11:30 on a weekday and we were seated immediately at a booth. We ordered coffee and since it was our first visit, we were given a complimentary half order of beignets. It was a nice touch and i enjoyed them although ive been spoiled by more authentic beignets in New Orleans. The menu looked really interesting so my friend and i agreed to share our plates as we both wanted to try a few items. We chose the shrimp and grits w andouille sausage and the crab cakes with fried green tomaatoes and a spinach salad. I was very happy with our choices. The shrimp and grits had a little more kick to them than i expected but i thought they were very tasty, The crab cakes and fried green tomattoes were my favorite. I would definitely order them again. The sauce swirled on the tomatoes was especially good. The coffee was strong but good and they refilled us promptly. Our server wasn't the friendliest but all in all it was a good experience. The prices were average for the area and parking could be tough up front buf there is additionaa parking if you don't mind a little walk. HORRIBLE SERVICE Went in on Friday 7/7/23 at 10 am. Business was slow and moderate. We were sat in a booth and then after 10 minutes someone came over and asked us if we needed drinks. She said she was not our server, but would bring a server to us. After a few more minutes, no server came over so we asked the hostess who our server is. We came here as a party of 2 at 11AM on a Monday. Outside was pretty busy with maybe only 4/5 tables open and inside was dead with only two booths with couples and two individuals at the breakfast bar. The hostess was very polite and quick and sat us right away. The waitress took about ten minutes to come to our table and we were ready to order. We ordered two coffees, two waters, a vegetable omelette with cheesy grits and rye toast, and biscuits and gravy with bacon well done instead of sausage. She returned with one coffee and two waters we asked for the other coffee, extra half and half as there was only one in the little cup and straws. She returned with the second coffee and no straws and no half and half so we took some from another empty table. The couple behind us sent back their order and asked for the check, saying the eggs were raw and the inside of the French toast was raw. They paid their bill and left. Another couple who was seated after us and received their food before us returned their food as the lady had rotten lettuce and his meal was raw- they left the restaurant. 35 minutes in and we still had not received our food or seen our waitress since she brought the second coffee. The male waiter loudly said he knew the table who left would be a waste of time and a pain in his ass by the way they ordered and he's not surprised they wasted his time. We waited another ten minutes and asked the hostess for our waitress, another five minutes no waitress so we got up and went to the hostess stand and asked for our check. The manager handed us a bill for the full food and drink and we told him we had no received our food, he seemed very genuinely concerned and apologized on behalf of the waitress. The first time it was excellent and that is why we visited on our next trip to Delay. The food was poor on the second time for both of us. Neither of us finished our meal. I simply love going to Another Broken Egg Cafe. It's always a good choice for breakfast/brunch. Their food is always tasty. I normally get the shrimp and city grits (my all time favorite) but I tried the Bacquezo and enjoyed just it as much. They have the BEST Bloody Mary's for brunch! I haven't had this good of a Bloody Mary since Savannah.There is a nice brunch time cocktail menu serving spiked coffees and an array of Bloody Mary's! This place is EVERYTHING *inserts heart eyes* I have never tasted anything so good. Service: The waitlist was not long at all, as soon as we got there we got seated. So it was a pretty fast process. Our waitress Libby was very nice and she checked up on is when it was needed and took well care of us. Food: I had the "Lobster Brie Omelet" and let me tell you how delicious that thing was. It was cheesy, hot, very delicious. I had mine with potatoes and fresh fruits. The potatoes were hot and not too crispy just like I like them. The fruits were very sweet and fresh. My boyfriend had the "Super Omelet" I think it was called, im not sure. He loved it. He had it with potatoes only. Drinks: I had a "Tropical Mix Sangria" something like that and it was really really good. My boyfriend had the strawberry infused mimosas and I tasted it and loved it. Second time coming back and I was even more satisfied than last time. I got a seasonal tostado stack and I could've licked the plate clean. The barbacoa was so tender and well seasoned and the tostados were perfectly cooked. Potatoes were tasty but way too salty so I couldn't finish them. The drip coffee was delicious and the refills kept coming. Our server was so sweet and very attentive and I love how cute it is inside the restaurant. We had breakfast the day prior to Thanksgiving 2024. I ordered the crab benedict. Needless to say, I started to get sick before leaving the restaurant. When I approached the manager with my concern about the meal, she stated, "We serve lots of this". Three days of non-stop GI issues. Test confirmed food poisoning. I contacted the restaurant and franchise owner multiple times to explain the experience from eating the meal however, I haven't received a follow up call. The food and service was great despite the busy atmosphere. The food was seasoned well, not too salty and not bland at all. The spiked cold brews have the perfect balance of coffee and alcohol but is more on the sweet side. Plus the biscuit beignets are an amazing start/ finish to your meal. I would suggest getting there a little early since it is a very busy establishment but the staff does work efficiently so wait times are reasonable. Found this place by accident, but we're glad we did! Only open for breakfast and lunch, and we went there 2 times in the space of 4 days because we really liked it. Breakfast menu is extensive and for lunch I had their delicious chicken salad on toasted multi-grain bread. Food is fresh and delicious. Prices are reasonable. Service is top notch and very friendly. This visit didn't even get far enough to have coffee, let alone food. When I arrived a woman was standing in front of me to be seated. The host was speaking with her about the party she was meeting apparently, then she was taken in. During that moment I was not addressed, then she came back and I said there was just myself, she went to a booth and got a towel, then wiped it off. She then came back again and seated me. The table was wet and when I looked up I noticed that the booth in front of me was seated and as I started looking at the menu, the booth behind was seated, all in a row, with a mostly empty restaurant mind you. Then after a minute or so, a waiter came out and then walked back to the hostess and asked something then came back to the table seated after me to get them coffee. I didn't say anything but I know this wasn't right and I got up and walked out. So many things wrong here. Why do they need to jam everyone together when at that time they had plenty of open tables. And to ignore a single customer, to me is a no-no. I worked in the restaurant business and it is a sign of disrespect and shows that the idea that the tip will be smaller seems to guide the server's decision making. I like how it's served in mason jar. The beignets were not exactly pillowy soft as one would expect. They were rather crispy and somewhat burnt. The orange marmalade didn't do much for the beignets. The fried chicken benedict was simply. The side city grits was rich, savory, and made the whole meal filling. Overall, the service was great and the atmosphere is laid back.
