So let me start by saying that the main failure of my brunch this morning was certainly the food. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and from first bite I knew something was off. Both the gravy and the sausage patties tasted quite odd, like they had not been prepared fresh or stored correctly. I mentioned my dissatisfaction to management and they did remove the item from our bill. However, our credit card was charged twice, so we now have to take time to dispute charges and whatnot. I had heard great things about this place, and I feel let down. Also, with a 78 health score, they really should strive to improve the quality of their food. read more

We called in breakfast and the broken egg didn't disappoint. We ordered the Supreme omelette and buttermilk pancakes. This is just what we needed to get our day started. The omelette was packed with bacon sausage onion and red peppers and the pancake was cooked to perfection. Everyone at this location was friendly and willing to do whatever they could to help. Their process for Mother's Day was extremely unorganized. Added ourselves to the waitlist at around 9:20am, got a message that the wait was 45-1hr. I assumed it might even be longer which was fine. Unfortunately, the algorithm of their waitlist was very hard to understand and although we checked in with plenty of time, our place in line kept moving backwards. Arrived and and were told we were next in line for a table, 30 min later I went in to see how long our wait would be, we were then 8th in line. 10 mins later were 14th in line. This was all after a 1.5 hour wait. I expected it to be busy because if the Holiday but this process did not allow for the guests to even manage their expectations. Hopefully in the future they will just do away with the waitlist option on days like this and just do walk ins only. read more

Went to Another Broken Egg today for the first time with some friends who raved about the place. We were told the wait would be an hour. Our friends were considering just going to J Chris but because some of us had never been to ABE before, we decided to stay. Mistake #1. After being seated, our waitress approached our table with water and took our drink orders. We were all drinking bellinis and thank goodness for that otherwise the sober experience would have been that much worse. She took our orders, I had The Lucy, my friend had the ultimate, and another friend had the biscuits and gravy. I have no complaints on the food because the food was actually pretty good! However, after our server took our food order, she never came back. There were multiple please tables getting upset about the kitchen times and terrible service as we could overhear convos with the manager. I am sincerely a patient person as I bartend and have worked in the service industry since I was 15. A long kitchen wait isn't an issue for me especially because there are a multitude of issues that could cause that, and a lot of the times the kitchen staff is working their ass off, understaffed, to get it under control. My problem was that our server NEVER returned. Didn't fill our empty waters once, didn't come by to let us know that the food was noticeably taking a while but it was coming, nothing. Shit Im surprised she put our order in...maybe she quit on her shift?? We ate our food and all took out our cards prepared to just hand them to her when she finally came by, to avoid two trips. But that was the thing...SHE NEVER CAME BACK. We sat there for 30 minutes until I finally asked one of the girls at the computer if they could print our tab. A manager was over there and said she would print them but didn't apologize for the ridiculously awful service or anything. We did hear them run to the back yelling "WHO HAD TABLE 59?!??!" And no one would admit to it. Our checks were printed, brought over, and we left. The food was good, but not any better than First Watch or J Christopher's. Because of the seriously awful service, I doubt I'll be back. At least not this location. read more

The after church Sunday crowd makes for some interesting wait times but it's so worth it. I typically ask servers what's their fave menu items. Many moons ago, I was told to order the french toast and top it with bananas foster. I'm not some huge banana fan typically. THIS STUFF IS AMAZING! I have a hard time ordering other items because it's flawless. I suggest it with a side of bacon for that occasional sweet relief. The beignets are yummy goodness as well as the cinnamon roll. Great food, tasty drinks. We came to this location on a busy Saturday morning. My entree was delicious but was missing the ham (which was listed on the menu). After I informed one of the workers, they quickly worked to fix the situation by bringing a side of ham. When our server Dominique came back with our second round of drinks, she offered a free dessert as a way to apologize for the inconvenience and the delay on the drinks. Decent breakfast, poor service. I ordered the Black Bean benedict and the beignets as an appetizer. The Beignets were warm and delicious, the marmalade was not very flavorful. The Black bean cakes were not as crispy as I would have liked them to be, but the flavor, and cilantro sauce was good! The service was poor, the waitress was not very careful or graceful. She dropped straws and plates on our table without care and even spilled water on me and did not apologize. This is my choice over a lot of other breakfast choices in the area because they have so many better options and a lot of creative dishes that highlight their Restaurant personality. I can't say I have a complaint about any of their dishes at all they do a great job of pairing sauces toppings and evens marmalade with the dishes. But.....My lady and I were starving for some good breakfast food, so we decided to come here bc my coworkers were talking abt how good the food is here. I was so disappointed bc we were seated at the table and when I inspected my silverware and glass there were food particles on my knife. As I sat in disbelief I couldnt believe whoever placed this set of silverware out obviously didnt do a good job inspecting the utensils. The food particles on my knife were "clear as mud." This place is always great. Something about the nice people. I am in an industry that service levels are monitored at a high level. Having said that, they are always on point. The food is always great as well. It is great from the taste to the time it takes to be prepared and delivered. I also cook regularly so I am no bratty "I WANT IT NOW!" chanting hoodlum. I ordered through the website the salmon Benedict and lobster and Brie omelette with a side of grits and a side of fruit. It was terrible! My omelette barely had lobster the Benedict looked as if the chef just slapped a ton of cream cheese and threw on the salmon. Such a great breakfast spot and was even better that I was able to order something that was low carb friendly! The omelet was absolutely amazing. I think I commented on it with every single bite. After perusing a few different brunch options on a recent Sunday, Another Broken Egg Cafe was the winner. A friend and I arrived around noon to a 20ish minute wait. No biggie. We ended up getting seated by 1230 which meant we could order mimosas. It's the small things, ya know? I always have a hard time deciding between savory and sweet when it comes to brunch. The waffles and pancakes looked great, but so did their benedicts and skillets. I ended up going with the smoked salmon benedict with a side of the berry grits. Mmmm. I was very happy with my choice. The benedict was nice and salty and the grits provided a slightly sweet accompaniment. The food could have been a bit warmer for my liking, but it wasn't too bad. The service was OK. Not the best. But it was pretty busy and we were in no rush so it wasn't a huge deal. The one knock against this place is it is a big on the pricey side. Not too bad, but for brunch in Dunwoody as opposed to Atlanta, you'd think it would be a bit cheaper. But I'll definitely be back. Those waffles are calling my name. read more

I have been to this location three times. The first time I went alone and sat in the bar area. My server, Jennifer, was very friendly, upbeat, and attentive. I ordered the granola/fruit/quinoa dish. I was impressed to see quinoa on a menu and interested to see how it would work as part of a granola dish. I have to say the quinoa didn't really go with the rest of the dish. The granola and fruit was delicious though and served with coconut milk. I had the regular coffee and it was excellent. The second time I took two of my kids with me. The server was great especially considering that I had kids with me which makes us automatically higher maintenance. We got the biscuit beignets, which were amazing. I thought the kids would like them but they wouldn't touch them so I may have eaten the entire order by myself... I ordered pancakes off the kid's menu, which was a stack of 3 extremely fluffy thick pancakes, and turkey sausauge which is made in-house. For myself I got the eggs benedict, which was good but the (also homemade I believe) english muffin was so big it dwarfed the eggs. I got a mocha latte and it was not sweet enough for me, and I generally don't like them overly sweet. The third time my server was okay - not unpleasant but not nearly as upbeat as the first two times. I was alone and brought my computer to work with as I had overheard that they had wi-fi the time before. It was mid-morning so I wasn't taking up a table that other customers would be using or anything. I asked for the mocha with extra chocolate sauce but it still was not sweet enough. This time I just got eggs, sausage and an english muffin. Overall, good food, mostly good service, could use a little improvement on the portion ratios and the coffee but I will return. read more

Excellent service, and attentiveness to the details. We hold a monthly company meeting in their back room and have always enjoyed it. The managers and staff are superb when it comes to customer service and communication. I would highly recommend them for renting their back room for a function. I'm a couple of days late on this entry but I would still like to share my experience. I went to brunch this past Saturday with a friend to have girl time. The reviews that I read prior to coming here was mixed so I decided to take the risk and judge it for myself. Our waitress by the name of Courtney was extremely nice. She visited our table several times and she was very patient because we were too busy talking rather than making a decision of what we wanted. Good service is hard to come by and can be a deal breaker; however she helped make our experience good. I started with a mimosa. I wish they were bottomless but nonetheless it was good. We both ordered the Popeye Sizzler. I added green peppers and my friend added red peppers. Our orders were correct when they came out which was a plus. I will say that my dish was lacking eggs and a little soupy as I did ask that they fry the eggs hard. My friends dish came out perfectly. Overall it was pretty good. Additionally, the host that seated us was very pleasant and attentive. She overheard us mentioning that it was our first time here and made it a point to ask us about our visit upon exiting. This is a nice new restaurant. The food is delicious but waaay overpriced. $12 dollars for Eggs Benedict? $3 for a kid's apple juice? Way to expensive. The food came out just the way we ordered it, but it took a while to get out to us. I think that has to do with the restaurant being new and the wait staff and cooks still learning the ropes. Overall the staff is friendly, the place is very clean, and the food is good. It's a bit on the expensive side and I personally didn't like the menu options. I may go back but there are other options like Egg Harbor or West Egg that are, in my opinion, better in price and food selection. Also, I wish they provided complimentary coffee like Egg Harbor and even Waffle House, but they don't and you have to ask the people up front to get you a mug. Oh well. read more
