This is located where the Border's Books used to be in the Ashford-Dunwoody WalMart shopping center. You cannot make reservations, but (edited to add after happily being corrected: they do have call ahead seating). They are only open for breakfast and lunch. There is often a very long line (30 to 45 minutes) for a table on the weekends. The beignets are excellent. Their bacon is my favorite in Atlanta. I've been here with family and coworkers many times and the food has always been excellent and the service attentive. We've had things like savory burgers, sandwiches, salads, kids meals, egg dishes, etc. It is all delicious! They serve their coffee in stoneware mugs which are cute and homey. The bathroom has several stalls and there is a changing table for little ones. I love this chain, and this location is great. read more

This is a great place for a great brunch. The menu options offer a big variety so odds are that everyone in your group will find something they will like. The also have great brunch drinks. They either need less tables or more training. First time i got the crab cake Benedict- tasty, good size, egg not cooked properly. This time i got waffle w/blueberries, two eggs turkey sausage-I left feeling unsatisfied-eggs fine, sausage good, waffle not as large as i hoped for price, blueberries not fresh, no whip cream. Another Broken Egg Cafe is just that: another typical breakfast restaurant serving typical breakfast menu items. I wouldn't go out of my way to come here, but I found myself here when the other comparable breakfast restaurants were pretty full, and this one seemed to have less of a wait. If you walk around the corner to the bar, they will serve you complimentary coffee while you wait. Once seated, the service was slightly below average. No one was rude, but it took a while to be acknowledged by our waiter. Once she did, she was friendly, but our food seemed to take a while to come out. If you're looking for breakfast, and are in the area I would check out Another Broken Egg. I came here for a Sunday brunch to meet with my friend. We didn't wait too long prior to being seated. However, service was scarce when we got seated. We waited about 5 minutes to order drinks. You tell us 30 minutes for a table when the restaurant is clearly not full. After 25 minutes you say another 20 minutes...or sooner. Not sure how that math works. I ordered the Classic Biscuit & Gravy since I was craving something savory. I really enjoyed the biscuit & gravy the most. The gravy was mildly spicy and the biscuits were soft and delicious. The side of sausages that came with the meal was mildly spicy as well and was good, but I wouldn't say the best sausages ever. The side of potatoes that it came with was great! I ordered an online order last Thursday and my order was perfect. The food was so amazing I decided to place another pickup order on the following Saturday. BIG MISTAKE. Maybe they were too busy with customers dining inside to pay attention to the online orders. I ordered the exact same Mardi Gras omelette I had two days before with grits and my order was missing items such as the English muffin and tomato hollandaise sauce, which was needed for me to enjoy the omelette as I did two days prior. I went back in to get what was missing with no fuss as I work in customer service industry and things happen. I got the English muffin but was given some sort of cheddar sauce instead of tomato hollandaise . So I had to go back inside because the sauce is what really made the omelette pop and I refused to eat it without the sauce. This time I go back in I'm a bit annoyed because I had shrimp and grits in my order as well and we all know grits get cold and lumpy quick! I go inside again and the solution was to make the Mardi Gras omelette again. It was made again but made wrong, I requested for andouille sausage to be left out of original order and I was given breakfast potatoes instead of grits. I just went home because I was so frustrated and the other items were getting colder. Shrimp and grits were lumped up.. my daughter eggs were extremely cold and they forgot her apple juice as well. I decided I would just speak with the manager and leave feedback as they send you a survey asking about your experience. There is no way to speak to a live person over the phone, only voicemail. The survey said I should call in for assistance. I'm still waiting for a call back regarding my experience. When you spend $50+ for breakfast you expect to enjoy it fully as I did on Thursday, if it was McDonalds or something cheap I probably wouldn't make such a fuss but I would at least expect for the manger to make things right. So, when Another Broken Egg Café open its door close by I tried it. This was my first time at ABEC and I was both pleased and disappointed. It should be noted that ABEC is not only for breakfast. They also serve brunch and lunch but no dinner. The atmosphere at this particular establishment is enhanced by colorful flat surface and open areas. This promotes a sense of cleanliness but makes the restaurant very loud when you're trying to have a conversation. The menu is the star at ABEC. Healthy and creative is the theme. We had the opportunity to try many of the dishes: - Biscuit Beignets - Monster Cinnamon Roll - Seasonal Fruit Plate - Steel Cut Oats - Yogurt and Fruit Parfait - Granola, Fruit and Quinoa - Cinnamon Roll French Toast - Lobster and Brie Omelette - Veggie Delight Omelette - Eggs Benedict - Santa Fe Burger - Reuben Supreme - Latte, Cappuccino, and Espresso Our favorites were the beignets, steel cut oats, the veggie omelette, and the seasonal fruit plate. I especially enjoyed the fruit plate (more like a platter) with drizzled honey and fresh mint. The disappointment was with the prices. The portions for price did not seem consistent. The beignets were $5 (sensible) while the granola, fruit and quinoa was $9.99 (just say $10 - whoa!). All the omelettes (except the Fontainbleau) are over $10 dollars and come with and english muffin and country potatoes. And, the burgers and sandwiches are $9-$10 dollars. Bottomline, be prepared to come out with $13-$20 per person unless you are drinking water. Would I visit here again? Yes, and I have. Will I frequent Another Broken Egg Café? Not on my budget. Having eaten brunch at another local hotspot it was recommended we try Another Broken Egg. Upon arrival we were greeted by a friendly staff and escorted to our seats in half of the 15 minutes we were told it would be. Our server Norman was very attentive and friendly. I ordered the New Orleans Omelette with the City Grits don't pass on these grits they are the best. Wife had eggs Benedict as did my son. They were packed so we received complementary beignets even though our wait was not that long. Norman was quick with drinks and coffee and even brought out another grits so everyone could try them. Our waitress seemed to be in another world today, resulting in an unsweetened-to-sweetened tea combo, a chorizo omelette that ended up sans-chorizo, and a few missing sides for which we had to end up asking twice. However, offsetting this was some really, really good food - despite the Hey Lucy missing the chorizo it was still great, and the Benny Burger has become my new instant favorite breakfast sandwich, ever.
