Like many places, the pandemic and consequent staffing issues have plagued this restaurant. They exclaimed that they were under staffed at check in, and despite many open tables there was an hour wait with 24 people in front of us. We downloaded the Yelp app to track our wait and walked the plaza. After an hour, we noticed that we were 11th in line and started paying more attention. An hour and fifteen minutes and we were down to 9, then five minutes later back to 11. We walked down to ask why the number had gone up and they explained that people who had checked in on Yelp were put in line in front of others as they arrived at the restaurant to check in. Noted another 30 minutes before we would have a table. Insane; by allowing people to hold a spot in line through Yelp that isn't reflected in our wait time at check in, they create an illusion of a tolerable wait that is not dependable. As a bonus, the young ladies at the hostess station lacked empathy or personality. Hope things turn around and they stay in business, but we certainly won't return anytime soon to find out. The food has historically been good, and staffing issues are mostly unavoidable, but this is greatly exacerbated by poor management at present and a flawed system. read more

I've heard about ABEC, and when we noticed a location in our neighborhood, we decided to see what is was about. The restaurant looks very clean with a sunny decor. We had a friendly server and was spot on with our orders. The menu is interesting, but not what I call super special. By 'Liking' their FB page, we received a free order of Beignets for an appetizer. Our food arrived to the table, and it looked appetizing. One order was the Chez B's omelet, and the other the Crabcakes Cavallo. The presentation looked very nice. The biggest problem ever occurred just before leaving the restaurant. My boyfriend said that he wasn't feeling so great. By the time we drove a few miles to get home, I also started feeling quite ill. We both were sick for the entire day!!! It's unfortunate to say, we both got food poisoning. I can't even think about our breakfast that morning without feeling ill all over again. Atlanta has reported cases of foodborne illness, so it has me wondering if this is another for the list. I chose this spot for a late breakfast before heading into work. I don't normally visit this area, I live more south, however I am very happy about choosing this place. I ordered the oatmeal with berries to go, because I was in a little rush, and also picked up a muffin for a co worker. The oatmeal was great, disassembled in the to go box so I could make it how I liked! The muffin was so/ so (I had a bite of my co workers to try ) it wasn't pretty but being hand made, I'm assuming, I'm okay with that! It was a standard blueberry muffin with no "wow" factor. It wasn't dry, however it did have an over cooked feel. Maybe it was an over mix rather. Either way if I am ever in the area again I would choose to eat a quick breakfast from here, the lady behind the bar was so sweet the entire time, so my customer service experience was fantastic! read more

I recently had breakfast at this restaurant and received excellent service and food. I ordered the omelet with crawfish, crab, and sausage and it was soooo good. I am allergic to gluten and was told that their side potatoes are fried with other items that may contain flour. After speaking with my waitress, Rose, she sent her manager, Carlotta Johnson, to my table to make sure that I would receive proper service. The manager assured me that she would have her kitchen staff prepare my meal in separate pans. I felt confident that my order was receiving good care. Carlotta was an excellent manager, very friendly, and went out of her way to make sure my meal was above satisfaction during the restaurant's peak hours. I recommend this place to anyone with a gluten allergy or just anyone that wants a great brunch. read more

After being out all night Friday and attempting to be productive Saturday morning, my roommate and I decided to grab brunch. We decided on Another Broken Egg after seeing its raving Yelp reviews. Rest assured, we were not disappointed. I went with the fan favorite, Crab Cake Cavallo and it was beyond amazing. I didn't even think I liked poached eggs until I tried them here! Only reason I give 4 stars was because of how long it took to get our food. They were definitely short staffed and had one woman waiting tables, the bar AND processing payments. Went there on my lunch break and with only an hour to spare I waited forever to even get some service then when I did get a waiter he seemed miserable spoke very quietly and was just very annoyed that we wanted service. This is a terrific spot for breakfast. They also have a lunch menu, but I've only been here for breakfast. The omelettes and pancakes are delicious, though I wish they offered chocolate chip pancakes. This location does get busy on the weekends. I REALLY wanted to like this place more than I did. I had the Bacquezo™ omelet-- Cream cheese & bacon filled omelette with breakfast chorizo, Monterey Jack & green onions. It came with potatoes and sliced tomatoes (my choices).The potatoes were like frozen tater tots-too small and too many overdone tiny pieces.The chorizo overpowered the whole thing and was almost inedible. The eggs had a very nice taste and texture, BUT my bill with just a cup of coffee and the omelet came to almost $14.00! Oddly the Landmark Diner is as expensive but somehow seems to be a better value. Give the the Thumbs Up Diner or even J. Christopher's any day! I won't be back to this overpriced chain. Came here with friends on their recommendation for Saturday morning brunch. I was not disappointed. The biscuit beignets were great. Warm with a nice crunch and sweet from powdered sugar on top. I had cinnamon roll French toast, I recommend leaving off the bananas foster sauce as I did because its REALLY sweet. Our waitress was really nice an took extra good care of the baby in our party (I think her name was Leslie). I would love to go back here again, but be conscious of when you get there because leaving at 11 the place was packed with a wait to get in! read more

On June 3rd 2015 I was close by this location, and went out of my way to dine here, and when I arrived I saw the heath score of a C, I will not eat anywhere that does not have an A, so I had to eat next door at the pizza restaurant. That ticked me off, I didnt want pizza, I wanted to try this place again, since I tried the one in johns creek, and was not very thrilled, but what I seen on atlanta eats made me want to try all of the broken egg locations. nope I wont try this one! I know how health scores work, and when you get a bad score, they dont post it until they come back a week later, and if you cant pass with a decent score by then, and you get a C.......it's nasty! read more
