First experience here was over a month ago. It was amazing. We started with the Baked brie appetizer. I'm not a fan of brie cheese or raisins and I knew that going in, but I was pleasantly surprised how well the combination worked together. It's actually a very big place at the end of the Walmart plaza in Dunwoody. It was a back and forth for me between the Belgian Waffles Bananas Foster style and the Pancakes. The waffle won and I'm so glad it did. It was fluffy and great, the bacon was big strip and 4 strips not the traditional 3. The server was more about getting the order right, and being quick than being personable which made it kind of hard when it came to trying to get her attention about extra condiments and silverware, but the food came out right so I can appreciate it. read more

Went on Mother's Day so of course it was really busy. The wait was 60 minutes unless you sit at the bar, but the bar only had 6 or 7 seats. So those stayed full. Somehow we got a seat in about 45 minutes. The food was okay, but not worth the wait. I had the biscuits and gravy with a pancake. Didn't like the pancake, it's was thin, flat and tough. This is one of my favorite breakfast stops. The food is fresh and you can get pretty creative if you want to. I personally recommend the southwest scramble. And yes, they have hot sauce at the ready. The thing that really sets them apart is the service. Always friendly, the more you go, the more you'll like it. Our food was delicious! Pancakes were fluffy and flavorful- no spongy texture. I also got black bean Benedict and it had a chipotle aioli that gave it a great kick. I love the food at this location, but the service is incredibly slow. We were seated promptly, but it goes down hill from here. My server showed up at our table only to deliver drinks, yet I had to track her down for another cup of coffee, etc. If you don't mind poor service with a tasty meal, then this is the place for you. Went there on Monday with a friend. Ordered a poached egg meal. The eggs were a bit over cooked but the meal was OK. The service was terrible. It took a very long time to be seated as no one was around the "please wait to be seated" sign so I had to go find someone. We finally got seated and after the waitress came by, we asked her to give us a few minutes to make up our mind and she just stood there - hovering - pen in hand. I finally turned to her and said - "Come back in a few minutes so we can look at the menu and decide" so she finally left. After well over 10 minutes I finally told another waiter to tell our waitress to come back since we could not find her. Also note that the place was almost empty - just 5 or tables had people eating at them. She took our order and it took forever. I didn't time it - I apologize - but it was at least 20-25 minutes. When our food showed up, mine was not hot so I think it had been sitting around for a while. Also the poached eggs were mostly hard inside vs runny yolk so it I didn't like it that much. I will not be returning. I typically go to First Watch and figured I would try this one. No comparison. No more Broken Egg Cafe for me. A bad experience. read more

I had the traditional and the beignets. The beignets were flooded in sugar and sauce was not complimentary to them. They were very cold and very hard. Definitely would not recommend those. Very busy place especially on weekends. But all you have to do is give your phone number and you will receive an iMessage in 15 mins saying your table is ready. Food is above average. This was my favorite 5 star breakfast place having a 2 star day. The coffee was good. The fruit bowl was great. The lobster and brie omelette, which was sublime the first time I had it, was made on the cheap. Gone were the big, beautiful, melt in your mouth chunks of lobster and the all-pervading taste of lobster. The only way I knew there was lobster in it at all was those were the tough, chewy bits. The food was just fare but I noticed their grade is 75 and I didn't feel good eating there.

Let me just start with saying that i don't ever wrote yelp reviews, but this visit has been so disappointing. We got here and they said it would be a 35 minute wait, that's fine. They got us in in 20 minutes, awesome! We got sat and immediately the waitress was rushing and barely got out drink order before going to another table, which she then spent another 10 minutes talking to. We then got a new waitress, who I don't know the name of. She took our order then immediately took the tables order behind us. 10 minutes later the table behind us got our food, 15 minutes everyone else in the room we were in had their food. 25 minutes we got our food. Our food was awful. We got the southwest skillet, with pancakes. We also order the Lucy omelette. It was all bad. Wouldn't recommend it. read more

Service was fast and the food was tasty. I ordered my bacon crisp and it was perfectly cooked. My eggs were also cooked exactly as ordered. jLots of screaming babies, but one can't blame the restaurant for that. My only complaint was that the combination I wanted wasn't on the menu so I had to pick and choose items. That drove my price up, and my order really wasn't that unusual. This location has some tough reviews so I was hesitant to give it a shot, but I'm so glad I did! I went at 8am and there was no wait. The host and all of the wait staff were extremely kind. The wait time feature is why we decided to try again, but we still waited well over 30 minutes from the time we were advised to arrive. One meal arrived almost 10 min after the first one was delivered. The bacon at our table, and surrounding tables too, was seriously undercooked. (Oink!) The server had too many in his section. He was nice, but weeded. Manager came to straighten out checks with next table as our cards were accidentally switched. Interesting Menu. Tried the Cajun Potato Skillet. Plenty of potatoes; could improve the ratio to other ingredients, but tasty.

The good news is that the food and atmosphere are way better than you'll find at places like IHOP and Denny's. The restaurant is modern, clean, and comfortable. My pancakes were light and fluffy, my eggs were just right, and the bacon was melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The bad news is that the prices are so far above those other places I named, you'll be hard pressed to feel like you got a good value even though you enjoyed the meal. read more

Had brunch here with a great friend of mine. She always takes me to great restaurants and I finally found one she had not been to. We both loved it! I ordered the crab cake cavallo and she ordered the egg Benedict with steak on it (can't remember the name). We shared entrees and I must say mine was better. The steak was a little tough & over done even though she asked for medium. It definitely was not medium. I also ordered a side of grits because I knew I would bring the hubby back if I like it and if any breakfast or brunch place doesn't have grits he doesn't wanna go. They offered the grits with blackberries...Oh the horror!! I couldn't imagine berries and grits (in the South grits should go with butter & salt, ijs). I must say they were creamy and delicious so I'll have to bring him here. We had a leisurely brunch catching up and even though they were busy our waitress never rushed us. I also ordered the cucumber Bloody Mary. It was great very fresh & definitely had kick. The only drawback was the wait. Not the wait itself but seating process. I got there about 10 mins before my friend and put our name on the list and they gave me one of the vibrating thingys. After she showed up we sat outside in the cold because there was no room inside. After about 30 mins, I decided to go check to see how long. I saw on the sheet they had sat parties after us and when I politely asked how much longer for our party the young lady looked on the list and said "oh I can seat you now." I was thankful because I was cold and starving but I wondered how long we would have waited if I didn't ask ;(. Other than the wait issue I will go back. Excellent food and service. We came for Sunday brunch so there was a long wait. And our food took a long time. But our server, Katie, was awesome. She kept the coffee refills coming faster than we could drink it. And she pestered the kitchen about getting our food out faster. When it came, one of the meals was lukewarm. Came here on 2-21-16 for my friends bridal shower brunch... Sadly Copeland's had a 2 1/12 hour wait so we came here... My eggs and bacon was cold there was a hair on my panckae. The bride to be has food allergies and told the waiter she does not want goat cheese on her omelette... We'll guess what was on her omelette after she has bitten into it...THE GOAT CHEESE... The rest of the party food was cold as well. The food score is an 84..should have known at that time it was going to be bad..we asked for the manager she did offer to prepare our meals over but after the disappointment of not going to out first choice Copeland's, the 84 food score, the waiter who act as if he didn't want to be bother or knew our orders the cold food and hair! The food is just ok... when they bring what you ordered. The eggs are dirty. It's like they don't bother to clean the pan before they pour the eggs in. Not sure what was up with our waiter. He was running all over the place like a chicken with his head cut off, but really accomplishing very little. Went for brunch on a Sunday. The wait for 20 min, reasonable. When we were seated the waiter was very friendly at first, he took our drink order and left. He was gone for about 10 minutes and then he came with the drinks. He slammed my mimosa on the table so hard I had to wait until it wasn't moving from side to side so it wouldn't spill. We were ready to order but he didn't wait or even look at us, he just kept going. I went to drink from my mimosa and noticed they served it with a strawberry, well I had to return it because it was rotting on one side :(. Anyway, no big deal, the big deal came when 15-20 minutes passed and he didn't acknowledge us, he kept serving the other tables. We were hungry so I asked the manager if someone was going to take our order, then he got frustrated and loudly said "yes! That table is mine!". When he came to the table I asked for another server. That was the best decision, she was nice, friendly and she checked on us, turned the whole experience around. She even brought us sliced fruit on the house because of the wait. What started out a great place with a great menu, (we were sooo exited when it opened) has deteriorated into a place with a great menu and below average food, and slow service. In fairness to them I think they are a victim of the talent pool available in the area, but nevertheless the food was disappointing at best in quality, it took way too long to arrive, and it was wrong. Manager didn't want to talk about it either. Arrogance I guess because the location assures them business no matter what they serve. They could do better, and we deserve better. read more

My Fiancé and I go here a lot after working out at the UFC gym next door. We love their eggs benedict; especially the one with the crab cakes. Fantastic! My favorite is the biscuit beignets; mouthwatering. Careful with who you get as a server though. Avoid the server who wears gloves! Ask for James if he is there or go to the seating around the bar area; the service there is always better. Their food is always great though! read more
