I'm definitely a brunch girlie, so I was very excited to try this place: and it did NOT disappoint! Huge menu of amazing options...eggs cooked every way, pancakes, waffles, French toast, and more...with insanely fast and friendly service. The best part was lots of available seating (rare here in Houston) l, which meant there was no wait. Portions are big and prices are very reasonable. I will definitely be back again!

Service : service was great Bianca was very attentive ! She was quick and brought things without asking . Food: Food overall was mid :/ Cinnamon rolls- they were over cooked and felt like they tasted like off brand store bought batter Eggs: mid no seasoning but no complaints Sausage delicious very seasoned My husband said his sandwich was mid- too many flavors nothing stood out I ordered my MIL th crawfish and shrimp omelette and it looked nothing like I thought it would Chocolate Pistachio Matcha : good but too much chocolate for my taste Overall for all its a solid place for breakfast when you aren't looking for anything fancy but I do think there was space for improvement for the food quality over all 3.7/5 rating

I've been wanting to try this place for so long. We're originally from Louisiana, and they have a location over there too, but we just never had the chance to go. Now that we moved here and pass by this one almost every day, I finally told myself, okay, we're going! I'm a brunch lover. I can eat brunch any time of the day. And since we're from Louisiana, I've really been missing that Cajun flavor, so I thought this spot would be the perfect fix. We went on a Sunday around lunchtime. There was a small 5-10 minute wait, mostly for them to clean tables. It was definitely busy -- people kept coming in and the restaurant was almost full. They have indoor and outdoor seating, but I didn't see anyone sitting outside. Here's what we ordered: Shrimp N Grits: It looked really good when it came out, but honestly it didn't have enough Cajun flavor for me. It wasn't bad at all though -- I still finished everything lol. Crab Cake Benedict and Brunch Jambalaya (lunch duos): The crab cake was kind of dry. I could taste the crab, but I just didn't like how they made it. The jambalaya was decent, not the best I've had but okay. Sausage Patties: Pretty greasy, but the flavor was decent. Overall, everything was just okay to me. Not bad, not great -- just decent. The service, though, was really good. Even during peak hour, our server checked on us often and kept our waters filled without us having to ask. I'd love to come back and try their Cajun brunch again since that's my favorite, but I do hope the flavors hit a little better next time

I took my mom out to breakfast for her birthday at Another Broken Egg Cafe before a big day out. We had flown in the night before so we were eager to have a solid meal. Our waitress was super nice and since we were the only ones for most of the meal, she was very attentive. The restaurant was clean and very bright. The menu was easy to read and navigate. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. My mom wasn't thrilled with how crispy the bacon was so she gave it to me. I thought they were perfect! Overall, this was a great breakfast for our first day in TX.

I've experienced ABCE in Georgia and Mississippi so I am basing the experience off of my multiple experiences with the other restaurants. To be fair, this location just opened. They have a few kinks to work out. We sat at the bar because it is first come, first serve seating. The bar servers had difficulty attending to the bar customers and filling drink orders for dining customers. They often forgot items we and other customers requested and had to be reminded a few times. Both my husband and I had the traditional breakfast with grits. The grits were not flavorful so we had to add butter, salt and pepper. My husband ordered a Bloody Mary with no bacon but it had bacon so they had to remake the drink. The bartender showed her irritation towards us so we had to correct her for that. She apologized and told us they had a rush of people so she was overwhelmed. This is what I mean when there are kinks that need to be worked out. It wasn't that many people in the restaurant. They need more organization and communication. I will try it again after a few more months. As of today it's a 5/10.

Came here on a weekend to have brunch with a friend. I was greeted and seated quickly. The service here is great, but unfortunately that's where the good things end. I tried the Blackened Shrimp Salad and the Lemon Goat Cheese Pancakes. The small shrimp in the salad were overcooked and tough and the Parmesan pieces tasted stale. I liked the caramelized pineapple pieces, but the dressing did not have enough flavor to save the dish. I ordered the lemon goat pancakes because the combination intrigued me. They turned out to be regular pancakes with chunks of lemon zest plopped around and sprinkled goat cheese. Overall while the staff is nice and attentive, the food isn't worth coming for.

Ordered salted cold brew without whipped cream and add chocolate and espresso to quench the thirst. Dined on a side of French toast accompanying sweet & savory sausage well done. The service was upbeat, youthful and friendly. The ambiance is casual and really relaxed. Could not really hear over all the talking

Classic French Toast, side of eggs and bacon
    Avalon R.

I ordered the shrimp and grits, and I must say it was quite flavorful. The sauce paired really well with the grits, which were rich, cheesy, and seasoned just right. My friend had the classic French toast with eggs and bacon--nothing too complex, but they executed it well, as expected. The staff overall was average, though our server was personable and made the experience enjoyable. The atmosphere was pleasant--nothing over the top, but comfortable and clean. One thing I really appreciated was their commitment to customer service. We stayed until around 2:00 PM, and just before closing, someone rushed in at 1:58 hoping to place an order. Rather than turning them away, the staff kindly accommodated them, allowing them to sit and enjoy a meal even though it was technically past closing time. That kind of service deserves recognition.

I haven't been this disappointed in a while. The pancakes, as you can see were grainy and dry. The potatoes were not even hot and they tasted like they sat out for a while. Which they probably did, because it took them 30 minutes to get our food out. I had the hash brown Benedict and it literally had no flavor. It tasted like flavorless mush. My boyfriend who is not one to ever leave food, wasn't even able to finish my leftovers. And his omelette was fishy and cold and he rated it a 2/10. Very disappointed.

My wife and I visited after dining at one in Birmingham. This is very close in our neighborhood so we decided to try them out. When we arrived it looked pretty crowded but we were seating pretty quickly. Our sever quickly took our order and within @ 15 minutes our food came out. I usually get the SALTED CARAMEL SPIKED COLD BREW. Its delicious. We got to meet the manager and he told us he took over @8 months ago. He invited us out to try their lunch. I was impressed with their organization with a full house. We will check them out again.

I feel disappointed in this location- I last visited the Austin one and it was amazing so I had high hopes to know we had one in Houston. The potatoes were soggy, my coffee mug had lipstick on it, and they brought out the wrong pancakes. But once they brought out the right ones they were DELICIOUS. The place had seating in and out and not too busy around 8 am Sunday morning.

Well this is my go-to brunch spot to bring all my out-of-towners. I can't believe I don't still…read morehave a review posted in the system! Let me start by saying I've been here multiple, multiple times & I've never had any food items that weren't good. I always get breakfast (even if it's lunch time) so I don't know much about the lunch items. Not only is the food outstanding with a creative twist, it's consistent. Over the years, the place has expanded several times so now there is a decent amount of dine-in seating in addition to the outdoor seating. The place still stays packed but with their wait list in advance/text notification system & efficiency in seating customers, if there is a wait things move along smoothly. Additionally, anyone who is waiting knows it's worth the wait!! The service staff are friendly. The atmosphere is homey & they decorate for the various holidays & seasons. Owner/chef Lori is always walking around asking guests if everything is ok. On at least 2 occasions she happened to chat with me/my guest about some dietary restrictions & she whipped something up for us to try. My go-to dish is the harvest breakfast where you can pick 4 breakfast items from a list. This is a great way to sample more menu items. Here's my take on some of my favorites: - Sourdough pancakes are thin & really delicious. - Belgium Leige waffle is very sweet with the pearl sugar "nuggets" in them so taste them before you add a lot of syrup. - Scrambled eggs are well seasoned, not bland. - Avocado & tomato or the fresh fruit are nice light touches as one of the side item choices. - Fried chicken tenders are really good. Spice level 3 (medium) is not that spicy. It's flavorful. - Grilled chicken tenders are good. As much as I typically eat grilled or baked chicken, I allow myself to choose fried for these. - Grits are creamy. I get them with no cheese. I'm not a big grits person but I do like these! The menu is very extensive. It includes vegan, vegetarian, keto & gluten free. Is the breakfast a little pricey, the answer is "it's all relative." Sometimes it's just worth paying for a great meal. In case you haven't gotten the message, Harvest Kitchen is a must try. Do yourself a favor & have a visit. I'm betting it will stay on your list as a repeat eating spot!! Tips: - Use the text message wait list & signup before you leave your house. - You can always get 1 pancake on the side for $5. - 15% gratuity is included at checkout, as you pay you'll get options for an additional % or custom % like 0%, 3, 5% or more.

Another pleasant surprise in what I'm going to arbitrarily designate as a brunch fusion menu…read more Firstly, it's a very nice layout. Tables are well spaced plenty of room eight crisp environment really just a very comfortable ambience. The services superlative from the moment you walk in in which you are immediately accommodated to the server who takes an order and then the servers who serve the food which is not necessarily one in the same. It's simply a very efficient service system and very pleasant if you're a customer. You get warm food. In my case I had hollandaise with Salman underlying it, which was very good. The eggs were cooked perfectly the hollandaise not by any means obnoxious but a very deliberate Irving and a wonderful salad, which both underlines the egg and is served as a side with the eggs, which were perfectly poached. In so far as the buzz is concerned, there are wines and beer available and really quite an extensive menu in both. I enjoyed a beer with mine, which I know it sounds like an odd combination, but it worked quite well for me. Really this is a wonderful addition to Katy options for breakfast or brunch.

They serve brunch on Saturday and Sunday until 330. The brunch menu is huge. It is not a super large menu, which I feel very endearing. We decided to try the bagel and lox with cream cheese, the Buzz burger with fries, and their homemade chips. They start off by bringing you this beautiful craft of bottled water. That to me was an amazing bonus. We also ordered two sodas which came in a can. I sort of wish it was a more of a fountain drink than one can of soda for the price. *Now service was super slow. However, the waitress did come and tell us that they are running a little behind and she apologized for it and she was super sweet, so that made up for the weight. How do I known how long it was going to take, I don't know if I would've stayed, but in the end, the food was amazing. The burger was cooked to perfection. My boyfriend is a hamburger snob and he kept saying how good it was how fresh it was and how perfectly cooked it was. They serve you shoestring fries that feel like they're double fried and they were phenomenal. My bagel was toasted perfectly and had a very good amount of cream cheese and lox. As a Jewish girl living in the area that I do, it's very hard to find good bagels with lox and cream cheese. I will most definitely be back for this sooner than later. The homemade chips took quite a while to come out, and at one point I was ready to say we don't need it, but these potato chips beat Buccees beaver chips, 100%. They were super fresh and very crunchy and tasted amazing. I will definitely recommend those to anybody that orders some. My boyfriend then ordered a tropical sunrise smoothie and it was so tasty and tasted like a strawberry banana smoothie. Now once again that did take a long time to come out and at one point, we were wishing we had not ordered it but once we did get it, it was really good and I highly recommend it. The restaurant is not very large and it's the perfect brunch spot for anybody looking for a smaller Cafe with very good choices.

I went with a new item on the menu - the Barbacoa Chilaquiles Breakfast Bowl. It was pretty good - for a non- Mexican food place. And it was a lot of food. I figured it's in the sauce and looked for TEN MINUTES while also looking at photos of the dish online. It did not have any barbacoa in the bowl. She tries to point that out saying there's meat in it which is absolutely ridiculous! Very insulting and gross. SEE THE VIDEO, there's only 1 piece of meat on top. I didnt take a single bite of food. Absolutely unacceptable to bring a plate of food back from the kitchen trying to trick the customer to avoid remaking the dish. We went for HRW with a reservation. It was packed so we were excited. There was a saxophonist and…read morehe was great, not too loud. The food just took way too long to come out. Our waitress was super sweet but you could tell they were either understaffed or not used to being that full. It took super long time for all of our food to come out. Appetizers came over 40 minutes after ordering and the mains came over an hour and 15 mins or so after we arrived, and that was with the mains being ordered halfway through the apps. The first bite of the oyster was ok. It didn't taste like it was just made but maybe pre-prepped perhaps. We were supposed to receive bread soon after the first bite but we didn't. It was difficult to flag someone down because the waitstaff was moving fast and bringing out food for all the tables. We received our appetizers and then I had to let them know that we didn't get bread. So our bread and appetizers were eaten together. Now onto the food. We ordered the shrimp, jollof ball, calamari, and tacos. The calamari was straight up not good. We didn't finish it and no one in our party thought it tasted fresh. It had a very odd texture. It wasn't chewy or have a bite like normal calamari does but it was like a sponge. We all took one piece. Our party is all about not wasting food but the fact that the appetizer was not finished was very telling. The shrimp had good flavor but wasn't spectacular. The tacos were good. The jollof ball was spicy and nice. Between the appetizer and the entree there was over 35 minute gap. For this reason, we asked if we could have more bread, but they said they charged for extra bread. Tbh, I don't mind if places charge little for bread service, but if it takes over 35 minutes for the entree to come out, I'd expect the restaurant to give another piece of bread per person for no fee. That's just good customer service but alas we declined the bread. For the mains we ordered the brai (10) up charge, the lamb chops, the ribeye, and pork chop. The ribeye was great, cooked well, juicy and with good flavor. Lamb chops were also nice. The pork had an interesting flavor that my party member wasn't fond of, but it was cooked nicely and was reasonably juicy. The big miss was the brai. It had a 10 dollar upcharge for 1 row of lateral axis short rib, 1 lamb chops, and 1 sausage. The short rib was fine but a crap ton of fat. The lamb chop was good, the sausage was raw in the middle. When I brought it up to someone that the sausage was raw, they took the same sausage and cooked it until it was done. Keep in mind the restaurant is dark and my other companions had some of the sausage but the outer pieces. I had a piece in my mouth and had to spit it out because I could feel the raw meat sausage texture in my mouth. Instead of bringing me a new sausage they took the same one, which to me is outrageous especially because I had spit out a good piece. The waitress apologized but I had to ask to speak to the manager instead of someone coming to our table first. When they brought the same sausage out, it rolled off the plate onto the table....i just accepted it. They took off the 10 dollar up charge off the bill but I don't think that was enough especially with the whole debacle of the sausage being raw. I expected the restaurant to have a solution but I was put on the spot about what they needed to do. I wished I'd asked for the 1 meal to be half off or more than 10 dollars off just because of everything and the food quality and the terrible wait times. The mashed potatoes also weren't great. Green beans were good, jollof rice side was good. Desserts were fine. All in all, we expected better quality of food and service.
