Just overall not a good dining experience. Slow service despite being past the morning rush & not very crowded. Kids plates are definitely kids portions! Bigger kids may want to consider ordering from the adult menu. Food was mediocre at best. Eggs were dry, potatoes over cooked. The turkey in my sandwich was awful. I truly understand that this restaurant has been affected by Covid and some things have changed. I took the time to drive 36 miles to patronize them. However, my experience was not pleasing at all. I checked in on the app. I pulled up and parked in the spot in front of the door. I called the rest and said that I am here, described my vehicle and requested to be checked in. The manager, Rudely stated that I needed to come in the restaurant to check in and hung up as I was asking about disability accommodations for check in. I then hobbled up the stairs into the restaurant to check in and I requested a table outside. I was told I had to wait outside the restaurant until a table was ready. 20 minutes later I was notified a table was ready. I was led to a table inside at the entrance door. There was one outside table that was only occupied by used dishes. I said I would wait for it. The hostess said she couldn't sit me out there because the waiter didn't want any more tables. It was 11:30, so they were not closing, and the restaurant was not full. I accepted the table at the door, it took another 20 minutes for the bartender waiter to take my order. My shrimp and grits arrived finally at 12:28, the grits were room temp. My server didn't come back to check on me nor refill my coffee. She dropped off the bill and kept moving. I did leave her a 25% tip, because I have worked in the industry and I felt obligated. But this was my LAST time at that location. I felt like I was bothering them. Walked in at 11:00am on a Wednesday and sat at a table for 29 mins without any acknowledgement. I finally flagged down the hostess explained I was on a quick lunch break and needed to order so I could go back to work. The hostess took our drink order and apologized about of server not coming by and that she would be by momentarily. After another 15 mins without a server and our drinks finished we asked for a manager. Long story short I didn't even have a meal here and giving it 1 star since 0 isn't an option. If you are looking for a place to have an amazing breakfast this is the place. The menu has traditional breakfast, brunch and lunch options. I had the skinny omelette, english muffin and fruit. My wife had the lobster and brie omelette and wow the taste of both were amazing filled with seasoning and flavor. Customer Service is horrible. I went in to pick up my Togo order in which I paid for online. I was instructed by the host to go to the bar to receive my order. Upon arrival to the bar I asked the bartender for my Togo order he then tell me I have to wait until for another person to hand me my order. I can physically see my bag in front of the bartender. How hard was it for him to confirm my purchase and just hand me my bag? This establishment has poor organizational & management skills. I'd much rather the Magazine street location. We have been eating here on and off for over 3 years. Never really had an issue until today. Holiday blues maybe??? Our server seemed to have a bit of an attitude. He put one of our orders in wrong and took no responsibility for it and basically just told a manager that we said it wrong. Ummm dude? Ordering the Lucy omelet with no sides, is as simple as it gets. Waiting 10 mins for it while the rest of us eat isn't enjoyable. Having the manager come up and not apologize is even worse. The fact we had out of town family with us and we recommended this place for breakfast , just makes us look stupid. I doubt we will return anytime soon. read more

I love this restaurants choice of so many different brunch options. The brunch specials are delish! I also highly recommend trying a signature brunch cocktail! My only complaint is parking, they have a super small parking lot and you need to look for off street parking if you can't get a spot. Other than that they have fast and friendly service. Today was my first time at this location as I usually go to Magazine, but I've had some friends try out this spot and love it ! When we arrived the place was packed so we grabbed seats at the bar and ordered. I got the most delicious lobster omelette and my hubby ordered the breakfast special taquitos.. Order my breakfast in the morning. First, I get my order and realize I have no potatoes. I ask where are the potatoes and they say that they are on the sandwich... Okay, understood. I have visited this location multiple times and while I do enjoy the food I have just had too many bad experiences to go back. First time I went, the wait for food was so long I ended up taking mine to go. Last time I went we waited for our food for over an hour, then the server only brought out half the meals and we waited longer for the other two to come out. When they did come out, one order was wrong. I tried doing a pick up order to avoid the long wait time and the grits were watery and completely unseasoned with clumps of grits throughout. Even after adding butter and salt I still couldn't get them down. Last time I got grits they were phenomenal... not sure what happened here. Just overall disappointed with this place. What can I say? Eh? The atmosphere is nice, the service was pretty forgettable. I got the crab cake benedict. The country potatoes were frozen chunks of flash fried potatoes (no flavor, no real taste) and the benedict came with two filler-full crab cakes which were overcooked and just didn't taste quite right. The hollandaise was white, runny and have very little flavor. The red and green peppers must not have been fresh, because they had zero flavor. Served in a skillet, it looked small and unappetizing. My hubs had the "hey Lucy", which I took a bite of and I'm not 100% sure WHAT I was eating. It "tasted like burning!" Also, the coffee was absolutely horrible. Served with cocktail stirrers...um, burnt plastic? We used the app for "no wait" and deleted it. There are soooooooo many better spots for breakfast and brunch in this city. I *may* give them a second chance...but, it'll be a while before this burnt taste is out of my mouth. read more

If the name of your restaurant is "Another Broken Egg," your kitchen staff should actually know how to cook eggs. I'm an egg fiend. Poached, scrambled, fried, chicken eggs, quail eggs, fish eggs. I loves me some eggs! Thus, I've ordered Eggs Benedict here several times &, with one exception, the eggs were beaucoup undercooked. When I order a poached egg, I don't expect to get an egg that is raw everywhere but the outside so that a cascade of gelatinous white goo oozes all over my plate when I hit it with the knife & fork. Runny yolks, cooked whites. That's how a poached egg is supposed to be served. But good luck with that! When you send them back, you get eggs so hard, you could use them as paperweights. Ordering eggs over medium here is no different. The one time I tried that, I ended up telling our server to just forget the eggs after the second attempt. Fortunately, it was in the afternoon & they do have a delicious chicken quesadilla to fall back on. The service here is also extremely hit & miss. We've never had any problems with the hosts or hostesses & the young man who waited on us during the Over Medium Fiasco was as sweet as he could be. But on one breakfast visit, we saw our waitress when she took our order & when she brought the check. Since we never saw her again, we asked a neighboring waitress to help us & she did. So we tipped her at the end of the meal instead of the waitress actually assigned to our table. These problems are a shame because, in a Victorian house, the place is cute as hell, only a 5 minute drive from my home &, as I said, I love eggs. But the frustration of knowing I'll have to repeatedly send my egg dish back until it's cooked properly isn't worth my return. read more

I had a traditional breakfast with an egg, English muffin and potatoes which tasted like fries. Fries are good. The English muffin was a little hard. The cafe' au lait was pretty good too. It was horrible. Food was horrible and overpriced. I ordered fruit substitution. Fruit was tiny and not fresh with hefty substitution price. Coffee almost $4 and no one came to refill. My order was incorrect. Eggs were so overcooked that they were inedible. $70.00 breakfast and no one would touch their breakfast it was so bad. Stay clear of the Mediterranean potatoes the description sounds good but I had to send them back three times. Okay I don't know where to start with this place because it was so wonderful. The wait time was not so wonderful but it was a Sunday morning and with me being a yelper I should have known to check in on my Yelp app beforehand. Of course I have definitely learned my lesson.lol one of the perks of waiting is that they had menus for everyone who was waiting to go over the menu that way by the time we were seated we wanted everything off the menu. That's just how good everything sound but on top of that we were seeing the dishes being brought to all the tables of the people who were already seated and that's when we definitely wanted everything off menu. We were able to it seats at the bar so we cancelled our reservations for the table. Which is the smart thing to do so someone else can get those seats. That's when we met Mathew!!!! He was our server and Bartender. This man new hose job front front to back and he also made recommendation about certain foods we had never even taste before in our lives. Which turned out to be a hit. We had six different meals thanks to Matthew lol he said there is no way you're going to eat all of this food but I'm going to enjoy watching you try. With all of his recommendations we had to get a little bit of everything we will definitely be back and we will definitely bring more people. I keep my promises Matthew. I go out for breakfast alot. I thought this was a nice surprize with a great benedict menu. I had benedict oscar because I asked the waitress what her fave thing was. The food was good, but brunch on Mardi Gras day was a bad idea. The government would be more efficient at managing a wait list. Our estimated 30 minute wait turned into an hour and 20 minutes. Apparently they do call ahead seating, so our wait time was extended considerably. Had something else been open nearby, my party of 3 would've gone elsewhere. Bottom line--food was good, but the poor wait list management will deter me from returning. Never again! read more
