The vibe of the location is the best. The colors and setting will brighten up your day. We'll thought out set up. Our server Aurry was amazing. She provided great service and awesome recommendations from drinks, apps and eats! Her personality was very pleasant and sweet. She was attentive but not overwhelming at all. Both Aurry and Joel contributed to the overall experience making it great. The FOOD was a HIT. Everything ordered was presented beautifully and delicious!!! The executive chef is definitely cooking very very well!!! We loved the Blue Crab Ragoon App as well as the Crab Cakes. There was nothing left on the plates. For entrées we had Banana Foster Pain Perdu, Side of Duck Bacon, Hashbrown, 100% Seafood Gumbo and Fried Catfish. Everything was seasoned to perfection and hot!!! Last but definitely not least are the Cocktails which were very good. Try the Cold Brew Martini if you like iced coffee type drinks and also try the Strawberry Lemon drop for a sweet treat. The hash browns weren't really my favorite either, so at that point I just accepted that the chicken sandwich and I were going to ride this thing out together. My husband, on the other hand, is a TRUE breakfast person, so this was much more his territory. He ordered a steak breakfast bowl topped with eggs. He enjoyed it overall, but felt like it could've used a little more seasoning. He ended up asking for some aioli on the side, which helped give it the extra flavor he was looking for. Now the chicken and waffles? THAT was the fun part. The presentation was adorable, with the chicken served alongside the waffle cone-style presentation, and naturally I ended up eating most of his chicken. The chicken was really good, and even though I'm not a huge waffle person, I tried some of the waffle too and enjoyed what I had. It was definitely the more memorable dish at the table. I also really liked the atmosphere. It's cute, bright, and feels made for brunch, so aesthetically they understood the assignment. Overall, there were some execution issues with my sides, especially being served mac & cheese that was cold in the center, but the chicken dishes were good enough that I still enjoyed the experience. My husband enjoyed his breakfast overall, and I'd come back and give them another shot. Next time, though, I'm sticking with the chicken because clearly that's where they had me.

I live the old 80's/90's theme and decor. Such a great throwback. We ordered 2 drip coffees (you get them in a to-go cups but you can get free refills), and the Grand Slam McMuffin. Both were great. Wish the sandwiches were bigger for the price you pay. $11.50 for a breakfast sandwich is pretty steep, but it's the price you pay considering everything is homemade. I would also like to point out that there is a discrepancy on the price of adding an egg. The menu says it's $2 more but we were charged $2.50. They should really update their menu or be upfront about it. Overall a great place to have a great breakfast. * Please note that you're not allowed to have someone save a table while another waits in line to order. You must order first before being allowed to take a table.

It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. I absolutely love this cafe! I initially fell in love with this cafe after dining at its location on Magazine Street. But, after my experiences at the Harrison Avenue location, I would prefer to eat at this location even if I lived next door to the other one! Overall, I love the menu and of course, the specialty cocktails!!! But, it is the manager, Chris, who definitely makes each dining experience an "experience." Even though the service here (and at the location on Magazine Street) is great, Chris definitely has a presence that is noticeable and missed when he isn't there! He has an outstanding personality and is interactive even at the busiest of times. But, more importantly, he is extremely attentive and kind when dining with my seven year old Little Princess...he actually engages her when she asks for a booster seat for her doll and provides a souvenir mug for "her" to drink out of, as well!!! In life, it is the little things that count and Chris makes those "little things" HUGE; dining with a little one can be challenging at times, but because he makes the atmosphere comfortable for her, he makes HER day!!! Just recently, we ate there when Chris was off for the day and my daughter, Zoe (who Chris knows by name), laid her head on the table and said that she was sad and asked, "Where is Chris?" Not only did the fact that Zoe noticed Chris was not there blow me away, but our waitress called him so that he could FaceTime with Zoe - ON HIS OFF DAY! And, he greeted her with the same contagious energy that he exudes in person!!! Also, Zoe has a speech & language disorder (mixed expressive and receptive language disorder) where sometimes she is limited in expressing herself. Thus, for her to communicate her feelings was definitely a winner and guess what??? Mommi was "sad" that Chris was off, too! Lol...thank you to Chris and his staff for their excellent hospitality!!! Chris deserves many accolades and superlatives for all that he does; keep up the good work...I can go on and on...just as they say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, the way to a parent's heart is through their little one(s)!!! I want to start by saying I am giving 3 stars because as always the food is amazing. I never write reviews, but feel this one is necessary. I would like to say my server was great, very friendly and personable. The atmosphere of this establishment is wonderful. I am writing a review to address the hostess that was working today. I came in around 11:30, 7/18/16. The hostess who sat us was clearly on drugs. During my entire meal I watched her walking aimlessly around the restaurant. It was clear she was in another world. At one point I saw a server trying to wait on her table and the hostess kept going over to the table talking and messing with things on the table. The people at the table clearly looked annoyed with her. I was amazed she was allowed to work in that condition. I saw the manager and she interacted serval times with this woman. How did she not notice this? I hope someone other than the manager on duty today reads these messages and something can be done. She was very much a distraction to me and my guest. I have eaten here several times and could not believe what I was seeing. We have always had wonderful service and delicious food. read more

I'd like to start off with saying, my fiancé & I have been here plenty of times with great experiences. Always great service but unfortunately for us, today wasn't the same experience. Our waitress STEPHANIE was beyond rude. She had an ugly attitude as soon as we walked in from the time we walked out. I'm not one to complain but this was absolutely inexcusable. we were so excited to go up until our encounter with Stephanie. Ive worked in the service industry for quite sometime now so I know how things can be. But for no reason? I'm furious! It ruined my entire morning. I've been to the magazine location and love it. I keep returning to this one because I love the atmosphere and staff. I remember Chris from magazine and he's great!! I tried the lobster Benedict, mind blown. Wife got the shrimp and grits, like usual, and it will always be nothing short of amazing. Chris recommended that Stephanie will be taking care of us, she was so great, 5 star service from beginning to end. Only pitfall is the carpets. My first visit and I will be back. This is my new favorite place to eat!!! Best coffee I have ever had, extremely fresh. The manager came over and talked to us, she was so friendly and nice. My daughter and I commented on how we felt like "family" there. The food was really good and tasted fresh. Our waiter was Jay and was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Misinformed about bar laws to start, I was going to sit my children at the bar so we could eat however, was told we couldn't because they serve alcohol. Well in Louisiana, if the principal commodity is alcohol then that is true however, I saw more eggs Benedict's than I saw bloody Mary's. Really long service time, but there is a good of people in here and the food is good so no biggie on that. read more

I had the pot roast entree and it was a decent plate of food. I tried their burger and it was a very thin style meat patty and not my preferred thick and juicy old school NOLA burger so I wouldn't get that again. The potato salad I had as a side with my burger was quite nice here. Overall this is an interesting old space and an OK spot to grab lunch but there are way better spots in the area.

The 70123 restaurant gets its name from the zip code of this area. During my visit I sampled the a cheeseburger with fries and it was an overall good food experience. The service was attentive and kept my iced tea full. The ambiance of this spot seems nicer than what the past restaurants offered. They also have a nice bar space here with video poker for those that want to play that. Overall this seems like a good place to grab a meal and pass a good time.

The location is on the corner, and you could drive right past it if you didn't know what you're looking for (and I didn't, so trust me for that!). When you walk in, there's a bar seating area, as well as some seating on the main level, and then there's a loft type level with more seating available. I'm glad I was there on a random weekday, as I feel that the line to get in could probably get long on the weekend. Service was prompt, drinks were replenished as needed, and the chicken and waffles were just as I had dreamed they would be. Now, I know that not everyone loves chicken and waffles, but fret not, as they have all kinds of other breakfast options for you to enjoy. Your visit will not be in vain!
