Today I had one of the worst dining experiences I've had in a long time at Another Broken Egg. As soon as we walked in, we were not greeted properly by Ms. Elizabeth. Her attitude was cold and dismissive, like she didn't want to talk to us at all. What really bothered me was watching her warmly greet another couple who came in after us. I'm not quick to assume anything, but it definitely felt like we were being treated differently--and something about it didn't sit right. Thankfully, our server Katherine was amazing. She was the only bright spot of the visit. She went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and even apologized for the poor treatment we received from the host. That's not her job, but she took it on anyway with grace. When our food finally came out, it was cold--eggs and bacon. To make matters worse, the utensils we were given were dirty. I immediately asked for the manager, Michelle, to come to the front so I could show her the issue in person. She never came. No explanation, no apology. That's unacceptable, especially when the restaurant wasn't even busy. Whether she thought I was asking for a discount or wanted the food remade--I wasn't. I just wanted her to acknowledge what happened and take accountability. We spent $45 on that meal--and despite all the issues, I still gave Katherine a $25 tip because she had to apologize and take the weight for something that wasn't her fault. That should speak volumes about the type of customer I am and how disappointed I was with the rest of the experience. Michelle, as the manager, the energy starts with you. If you don't want to face customers and lead by example, then maybe that role isn't for you. We must do better, especially in hospitality.

Great food and service at this place. I usually eat at "another broken egg" in Rock Hill South Carolina. And they have the same great food and service. The only thing I don't understand is why my restaurant back home in rock hill South Carolina can't get the good jams from Dickinson's?!!!! I've been told that upper management would supply this restaurant with the good jams and substitutes it with a lesser quantity jam.

Dam good! Soft Shell Crab was fried to a crisp. Eggs nice and fluffy and grits were creamy and good. I will enjoy eating this again. It's a summer limited that you must get. 21 or older to get. Comes with a spike drink. In which, the drink that come with they have all the ingredients, but the lemon-berry mimosa was good with it. Also the waiter we had was good. Made sure everything was right.

I randomly walked into this restaurant after my Garden District tour. This is a brunch spot. Service is friendly and attentive. I ordered a lobster omelet and it was good. The lobster pieces aren't super big but they are fresh and tasty. I got free beignets on the house as a first time customer. Restaurant is clean and homey. Very good indeed

What a pleasant surprise! I had previously dined at the Shreveport location and wasn't wow'd. However, this location was much better! The inside is quaint with minimal seating, but there is quite a bit of seating on the outside porch. The manager was so nice and friendly. All of our food was served hot and seasoned very nicely. I ordered a mocktail (No' Jito). The server suggested swapping the sparking water for Sprite and it was sooo yummy and refreshing! The City Grits are a must have! The omelette was one of the best I've ever had at a restaurant, but it wasn't consistently made on my 2nd visit. As far as parking, there is a small lot but you should be able to find street parking within a reasonable distance.

Tried their breakfast for the first time this morning and I was pretty disappointed. My veggie omelette had very little flavor and the avocado I asked for was hard, brown, and had a odd taste. My boyfriend got the crab cake benedict and he said it was pretty good. I wasn't too impressed with the crab cake itself, but this isn't a seafood place, so it's fine. He also ordered a side of bacon that came out cold with solidified grease on both sides of it. Our server was nice and attentive but, the cold brew I ordered wasn't put in so I had to ask twice for it. The restaurant itself is beautiful, but this was my first, and probably last experience here

Another Broken Egg has a large menu with New Orleans twists on breakfast classics. As an avid breakfast lover, despite these twists there wasn't anything that stood out. I got the apple mimosa and I would definitely recommend you skip that, even if you (like me) love apple juice because the champagne and apple just didn't mix well together. Orher than that, everything else on the menu was perfectly fine! I thunk they're great for groups and when you just want breakfast that you don't have to cook yourself. The french toast was similar to what you'd find anywhere.

We knew there would be a wait, especially with the size of our party, so 20 minutes ahead of time we went to put ourselves on the waitlist. We had 7 adults and baby, and on their website, it doesn't allow you to join the waitlist if your party is 7 or more. So we called, as the website suggested and spoke to a man. He said to just put 6 on the waitlist, and he would make a note of it on his end. After joining the waitlist, the website said it would be 15-20 minutes. It took us 20 minutes to get to the restaurant. Once we did, the hostess said it would be ANOTHER 15-20 minutes. Multiple times we came in to check on the table we were waiting on, and the last time, we found our table empty but still dirty from the previous customers. I watched our table for about 10 minutes sit there without anyone cleaning it. The waitresses were just walking past it, as if no one was waiting on the table- no sense of urgency. After I alerted them about the issue, the table was cleaned and the hostess with the short brown hair and glasses on the top of her head said, "We can't seat you. You put 6 and a baby, and you're 7 and a baby. We can accommodate 8, unless you sit outside and that will be another 15-20 minute wait." After waiting 45 minutes, "we can't seat you" is the last thing you want to hear! And she was super rude about it. So we flagged down the only man we saw, and he confirmed it was him we spoke to over the phone and the mix up was his fault. So they combined a couple of tables and we were finally seated. So after joining the waitlist that said only 15-20 minutes, we actually ended up waiting a total of over an hour. We were seated at 12:04. Two people in our party had an appointment, so they were not able to stay after the waitress told us it may take an hour to get our food after ordering. The rest of us ordered at 12:12. I ordered the Bacqueso Omelette ($14.19) with potatoes and city grits and a Salted Caramel Cold Brew ($6). Like I said, we were seated at 12:04, we didn't even get water until 12:21. After waiting so long, I believe we should've been seated with waters. The kids meal was served first at 12:36, but with no utensils. And the rest of our meals were served at 12:41, earlier than anticipated but also with no utensils. They forgot my city grits, my food was lukewarm, my sister's pancakes came cold and my husband's bacon came cold. You could tell the food had been sitting. My Bacqueso Omelette was so mid. I wouldn't recommend it. The city grits were good, they just needed salt. Everyone else at my table did not enjoy their food, mainly because it was cold. Even the caramel cold brew tasted like water. My husband's the only one who said the bourbon street pancakes were good. It's unfortunate because we were really looking forward to this place since we had been to the one on Magazine St 6 years ago and loved it. By the way, I couldn't tell you anyone's name, because no one was wearing a name tag, and no ever introduced themselves. So yeah, with all that being said, we won't be back, especially because there are so many great food places in New Orleans, why waste your money and time on a place that's not worth it. With the service being so horrible and the food being mid, it's a pass.

Decided to try something different and opted for the Lobster Hash Benedict special. I don't care for runny eggs, so I requested scrambled eggs instead. The Benedict was just okay, but the City Grits were actually the star of the show, in my opinion. I ordered a special drink also, the Spiked Maple Spice Cold Brew. That was also just okay. We could see our drinks sitting on the bar for a while before we actually got them. So by that time, my whipped cream looked pretty sad. Overall, not a terrible brunch experience. We've been to this location a couple times before, and I'm sure we'll return.

I was not impressed. I think our ticket wasn't put in and we waited awhile for food, It took a long time to get a hold of our waitress, she was very sweet though when she did show up. The older lady serving the food who yelled at our waitress in the middle of the restaurant wasn't that appealing. I had the broken egg biscuit, I could have made it better at home. read more

Around the corner from my aunt's house, as we had family visiting and staying there, I decided we should give this place a try. It's a cute little converted house, and has that nice homey atmosphere when you get it. The servers here do it all. They don't seem to stop as they're taking phone orders, local orders, helping delivery drivers, busing tables, etc. They give a five star service for sure! The menu is pretty standard breakfast location foods. Nothing fancy. Most things come with a side of potatoes. They're more than hashbrowns, less than homefries, but no real flavor so to speak. They're kind of just filler. The food was filling before sending the relatives home, and it was basic enough that everyone found something on the menu that they would enjoy. No real complaints, but nothing over the top outstanding except the service. Oh, and the mugs. They have the cutest little mugs, and you can buy them in an assortment of colors to take home. So we did! Now I have another mug, that I may never use, but dang is it cute! read more

I've visited this location quite a few times over the years. I do not plan to return for a while after todays visit. We were seated in the front small area and right off it was offputting to be seated at a table with a fly just chilling on it. After we sat I noticed the windowsill directly beside me had 3 fly bodies and the one behind my boyfriend had 2. The walls also had food/drink splatters on them. The waitress was nice but a little overbearing with all her suggestions. She recommended a salted caramel spiked cold brew to my boyfriend, I do not suggest you try it. We couldn't quite figure out what was wrong but it just wasn't very good. We were quite surprised when someone dropped off an order of the biscuit beignets, apparently the waitress provided them to us. After the first bite I could tell why they were free, very hard. I thought maybe they were from the day before and they needed to get rid of them. Our food was good. Waffle was very crunchy and delicious, it wasn't overly sweet so the toppings that were sweet paired well. Biscuits and gravy were as expected, fluffy biscuit and creamy gravy. City grits were on point as usual. I was planning 3 stars since the food was good but then we had to wait almost an hour for the check to be brought to us. This restaurant has downgraded to chain status in my book, just eat local everyone and don't waste your time. read more

The "your table is ready" text didn't go through so we waited longer than we needed. Service was slow but maybe they were understaffed. Cold potatoes, side of bacon was one slice snapped in half (lol!) and the English muffin was a hockey puck. Sucks to spend $40 and a bazillion calories on breakfast and leave feeling hungry and annoyed. read more

This is one of my favorite bunch places ever. I try and come at least once a month, their food is always made very well and the taste is always so good. Sometimes the service is slow but other times it is fairly fast. Overall definitely a place to try and there is nothing on the menu I wouldn't try. The vibe is normally very busy especially during brunch time, but if you set up a reservation before had you're set. read more

Prior to an early morning Sunday estate sale, we had time to kill. I suggested grabbing a bite and my friend suggested Another Broken Egg on Harrison. We found a parking spot in there lot and headed in. Temperatures, contact tracing and sanitizer station were all in order. Tables were spaced out well and they were even able to accommodate a large group of Ochsner staff still in uniform. This was my first breakfast out and I was happy to see how well this location was serving its clients. I ordered my usual Blackstone and my friends both enjoyed the Shrimp and Grits. Lots of oohhhhs and awesssss. There was some comment that it was pretty spicy and I'm not sure if it was specificities this location, but both gals really enjoyed it. They actually ordered another helping of bread, which looked to be a grilled English muffin that served its purpose of sopping up all the extra sauce. After our breakfast, we made our way to the Estate sale, where I snapped up two giant ceramic bunnies, a vintage cotton blanket and Royal Doulton figurine. Thanks Egg for making sure my belly was full and head on straight otherwise I might have ended up with some bad estate sales choices. Breakfast IS afterall the most important meal of the day. read more

On Harrison. First time here.Randomly came for brunch. First timers get free beignets. Their beignets are home made, fresh and good. We came at a busy time but were seated within less than 5mins. I got the traditional day starter and my husband got the Brunch short ribs. The ribs were tender!!! So good and perfect and well seasoned. The day started was great! I had grits, scrambled eggs, chicken sausage and added bacon. Everything was delicious, service was great, place was clean. I will be back! read more

First off we were greeted a little oddly. Don't want to say rude but mood was definitely off. We were seated outside and it was super cold. We had a group of 5 so I'm not sure why they couldn't accommodate considering we waited 1.5 for our food. The food was not that good. Our plates came out at different times and normally that's not an issue but it was spread out about 20 minutes. Orders were messed up and another staff member confronted our server in front of us. I thought that was very unprofessional. I'm sure you can find somewhere else to get a quick bite that tastes better. I ordered a hot tea and the salmon Benedict. An it was just okay. The potatoes also weren't country fried at all. Not very good in my opinion. read more

Every time I go to another broken egg I leave wanting to go back the next day. The food is amazing for breakfast and never misses. The service is always friendly, nice and knowledgeable. And it feels so warm and welcoming inside. The atmosphere or style of the restaurant changes depending on where the location is but they are all amazing nonetheless. read more

Definitely recommend this place for people who are gluten free. My fiancee is and the gluten free menu they provide is one of the most diverse and lengthy ones of all the establishments we visit. The food is good. I had the cinnamon roll french toast and enjoyed it a lot. The wait time on weekends is obviously long so take advantage of the Yelp virtual waitlist. I added my party to the waitlist at 11:51 am and it gave us an expected service time from 12:37pm-12:52pm. We ended up getting the "Your table is ready" text at 12:57pm so all things considered it wasn't bad at all, especially given it was a holiday. Looking forward to returning to try out more of the menu. read more

I LOVE Another Broken Egg! Of course, there is a wait whenever I go but I promise it's worth it! My absolute favorite is the Shrimp & Grits! It steals the show every time for me! Along with those biscuit beignets! *chef's kiss* I also always order the Strawberry St.Germain as my drink! There are following protocol for Covid-19 (such as distance between tables, mask required for guest as well as staff, etc) & I felt safe! read more

we decided to go to brunch at Another Broken Egg and thought that 12:30p would be a better time with less people and rush; we were wrong. the waitlist on yelp was closed and when we got to the restaurant they said the wait times was 45mins. we put our name down and we're thinking about where else to go when 15mins later we got a text saying our table was ready. we sat and ordered the beignets, pancake trio, mardi gras omelette and the southwest salad. each item was good - good portion size and excellent flavor. the standouts were the pancakes and the omelette, the beignets were also good so a little smaller than i expected overall, a nice brunch place with good food; the service still needs to improve because while our server was good the host could not handle the rush read more

I've been here a few times, and it never disappoints! They have new dishes to try all the time so it's always worth coming back. I went in March, and they had a delicious Corned Beef and Brussels hash dish (with garlic aioli which was AMAZING!) They have a great selection of unique mimosa flavors like Lemon Blueberry and Strawberry St. Germain, which are always fun for breakfast. Atmosphere wise, the place has a traditional bed and breakfast vibe with outdoor seating on the veranda! It has a very unique New Orleans vibe and visitors from out of town always find the place charming! Indoor there's a ton of windows which allows for a lot of natural light to come in which is always nice. There's a ton of Southern inspired dishes -- some of my friends ordered the Floridian omelette which has crab meat in it! There's a Mardi Gras omelette with crawfish and andouille. & you can't really go wrong with the chicken and waffles (as long as you have time for a food coma after!) All in all, the place is pretty good. The only reason I take a star away is because there has not necessarily been a wow factor each of the times I went. The food has been decent if not a little inconsistent (sometimes more well done without asking than other times). Service can lag a bit since it's usually a pretty popular spot. Oh and the waffles are just OK, I like mine a little toasty on the edges, and these are just spongey all around. I will caveat that my opinion is pretty unpopular amongst my friends, and almost everyone I come here with ends up RAVING about the spot. So it's worth a try to come and check it out yourself, and multiple times for all the seasonal dishes! read more

Bomb Beignets I have dined here a couple of times and really love the beignets here. I'm a local (I don't speak for all locals) but I really believe Another Broken Egg has top-notch beignets. Maybe it is the marmalade, Idk. Aside from that, the food is good too. Go and enjoy. read more

2.5 stats for me. It was all just so dry. I used to love another broken egg... its just not like it used to beat the moment. We had to ask for butter for the waffle.. which was cold and didn't melt on the waffle. I had to ask for hollandaise for the smoked salmon Benedict which comes on a bagel. And the potatoes were just as dry as they look in the photo. The best thing was the pancake which wasn't the most moist and wasn't served with syrup. They also let people stand at the door and wait for you to finish eating... while being staired at the entire time. There were at least 16 people crowded at the entrance waiting for tables. read more

We came in and were seated in the room back right by the kitchen. We noticed there were several gnats flying around, I don't mean one or two, but like dozens. Also noticed they were in the kitchen so we got up and left. We go to Another Broken Egg in Bossier City almost weekly, our favorite place and love the staff, so we were highly disappointed not to be able to eat there. read more

Another Broken Egg Cafe is one of our favorite brunch spots! Which is why it was so disappointing that our service was awful today. Wait was close to an HOUR, despite using Yelps wait-list. Empty dining room, yet we were seated outside in the heat without asking. Our server took ages to come to our table, but he was standing against the wall, doing nothing. Didn't ask for our drink order. Took our food order, but didn't ask us about any of the options for sides. Our drinks orders were taken by another server, and were brought AFTER our food. One item for our order was never brought to the table, and our food was luke-warm, as if the server didn't bring it once it was ready. He was not very friendly, and did not once check on us, other than to take our empty plates. 2 stars simply for the quality of the food, which was great as always. read more

I ordered the salmon Benedict to go. There was no hollandaise sauce and the "poached" eggs were in a separate container which ended up making them boiled eggs instead. I've had food here before and every time it has been great. So basically don't order to go here. read more

I am very grateful for their method of "getting in line": my mom was visiting from out of town, and I reserved a spot in line (using Google Maps) when we left church. I was able to drive her down St. Charles Avenue to show her the beautiful buildings for about 45 minutes before heading to the restaurant. As a result, we only waited 5 minutes at most before being seated. The food was delicious! I appreciate the variety of dishes and their quality. The staff has consistently been friendly and professional. I'm grateful the manager brought me the gluten free flour mix used for the gluten-friendly pancakes: neither she nor our waiter was bothered my my request. (I have multiple good allergies.). I'll definitely be coming back in the future! read more

This little restaurant is PHENOMENAL! The atmosphere was lively and bright, and the decor was so cute. It looks like a sweet little brunch place and it lived up to appearances! We LOVED our dishes! My personal favorite was the scallop omelet. It was so savory, and filling too! Everything was seasoned and cooked to perfection. I couldn't have asked for better. If I could give this place more than 5 stars, I would! The server was friendly and attentive too. You might have to wait a little longer than expected to get your food, but I assure you that the wait is well worth it. Good food takes time to cook, so you'll be glad for your patience when you come here! read more

What a wonderful place. We just came in from out of town & this place is very good. Our server we had Veronica B. was excellent. She did a great job explaining the items we were looking at & she recommended the biscuits beignets (great). She also recommended the coffee that my auntee really enjoyed. The shrimp n grits were delicious kudos to the cook. We came down last year & went to the other location but when I come back I'll return to this location. read more

This is my wife and 2 kids spot to go on a Sunday ! Food consistently great and service is as well. Thought I found a regular breakfast place, but I was wrong!!! I was penalized because I chose to pay my bill in cash...let me rephrase, ANOTHER BROKEN EGG CAFE STOLE MY HARD-EARNED MONEY. In this day and age where businesses are rewarding people for paying cash, ABEC does not carry coin-change, so they round up or down. I was not only not rewarded for paying cash, I actually penalized because they kept some of my money. Nowhere on their menu, does it state that they do this. Nor was I warned when she took my cash. The irony is their "suggested tip" to servers includes cents. The food was good, and I really did look forward to having that says my regular brunch place. By my calculations, they will miss out on about.$1,560 in CASH revenue because they refuse to give back change. read more

My third visit. We haven't veered into specialties so I can only comment on the basics. Pancakes were sweet and tasty. My family ordered French toast and a breakfast platter. The French toast was better without the syrup and the sweet cream had an off putting taste. The presentation was beautiful, came with more than enough toast, and full of fresh blueberries. The breakfast sausage appeared to be grounded and prepared in house. The breakfast platter was what it was supposed to be. The wait was kind of long but it was a Sunday afternoon after church and we put in our yelp reservation like 3 minutes before we arrived. It was staffed sufficiently, clean, unique. I like that it doesn't feel "corporate". Kind of loud because it's casual and everyone is enjoying themselves. FYI the tables are pretty close to each other. Free parking in small lot but lots of street parking. Nice area and easy to access. My own personal wish is that they had fresh house made lemonade. (This isn't a ding on them at all. Most places don't. But it could be a game changer :)) read more

I just received an order from Uber Eats from the broken egg on Harrison. Their food is delicious. What is not so great is that they charged me $5.49 for a Coke in a cup with melted ice. Yes I did see the price but I figured that it for a half gallon or even a smaller coke in a bottle. I feel ripped off. Please post how the beverage will show up at my door. I never would've paid that amount for a cup of coke. read more

Well I visited here twice 1st time I tried the city grits it was ok and the 2nd time I visited I tried the chicken and waffles for the 1st time in chicken and waffles history with a side of cheese grits the only thing that was piping hot was the cheese grits yeah I'm not going to visit this place anymore Nothing to say bad about the service because it was as good! read more

So, I came to eat breakfast after church on Sunday. I was glad to see that Yelp offered me the opportunity to get on the waiting list in advance of my arrival. Score! The bad news is their poor timing and triage of their tables and bar area. The waitlist was 45-90 minutes when I arrived and the line to check-in was VERY LONG. Incidentally, there were several open (and clean) tables, with no patrons. First: The bar area is supposed to be 1st come/1st served for people to eat. However, I noticed that there were three people just having drinks and not eating. After waiting 30 minutes, I asked the person in charge of the waitlist about the folks at the bar (who were clearly not eating). She said that I was correct and only those dining should be seated at the bar. She further stated that the bartender was responsible for moving guests along if they were only having drinks. Sadly, she did not approach the bartender nor the patrons. I then asked the bartender about the same three patrons. Eventually, the bartender asked the guests to move. However, they declined. At some point, more patrons were crowding out the bar and we (intentionally) commented about the 3 patrons just sucking up useful seating. They heard us and moved on. Second: When I sat down at the bar, the bartender took exactly 18 minutes before she wiped the food particles, waste paper or used tea bag from my area. She even laid my clean set of silverware on the un-wiped, nasty bar area, which was disgusting! I actually had to ask her to please wipe the bar before setting me up with silverware, etc. really? Eventually, another server (Josh G) kindly removed the used dishes and discarded silverware from in front of me. I asked the bartender about taking my order and she said she'd be right with me. She proceeded to make 5 drinks for other patrons. Meanwhile, I asked Josh G. to take my order and he did so quickly. At some point, a Manager (Lisa) apparently saw my disdain and approached me. She apologized for the issues and offered me a complimentary mimosa, which was very nice. She also checked on me a second time, which was much appreciated. The food was fine. Two pancakes with bacon and eggs over medium. Sadly, the eggs were nowhere near "medium" but I'd waited so long that I dare not send anything back. Truthfully, Josh G and Lisa are the reason why this review gets 3 stars (instead of 1). They were both professional and efficient and made the experience less offensive. My recommendation is for the lady bartender to undergo customer service training, with a focus on cleanliness and proper table service. read more

I was visiting in town with my son and his girlfriend. We were able to check in online but when we arrived I learned that the online check in meant nothing. You also have to check in with the hostess. Upon checking in with the hostess your wait time starts. Once seated we waited more than an hour for cold food. We were told that the kitchen ran out of beignets. Overall my experience was horrible. read more

Our first full day in NOLA and we asked around for breakfast recommendations. From the time we were greeted at the door to our servers greetings to the bar staff and management, we could not have been More pleased with the service! Trevor (sincere apologies if I didn't remember the name correctly) was pleasant, made suggestions and was upbeat without being overwhelming. All of our food was amazing. The gluten free pancakes had us talking about theM all week. The mimosas were delightful, the cheese grits Mardi Gras omelette did not disappoint and the biscuit and gravy was deciduous. As a California girl, I think the flavors might have just been a little too strong for me, but still a great spot to stop by.

We found all the things at Luzianne Cafe. Whether you belly up to the bar or grab a table, both of which are first come first serve, you start at the counter where you order, pay and grab your table number. It appears that during busy times they allow you to sit first and order from the QR at your table, this is an assumption given the code to order at the table, but the sign at the entry directed folks to the counter to order before sitting. For breakfast, we got the breakfast biscuit which came with eggs, bacon and cheese, and sided it with grits. The breakfast sandwich was solid, eggs were a bit soft and grits were more mealy than we are used to, but I think that may be authenticity of the area more than anything. I opted for the three option omelet with onion, sausage and gouda plus a side of sausage links. The omelet, though odd sounding combination turned out to be solid. Maybe it was my options, but it was decently "one note" in flavor. I tossed a little hot sauce on and that helped. However, while the sausage links were not much to look at, they were tasty, with a nice snap to the casing and meaty inside. To go with our breakfast, I got a cold brew with a splash of almond milk while my partner embraced NOLA and started his day with a bourbon sour. Both of us enjoyed our choices! Service was friendly and helpful at the counter/bar. The food runner was nice and then another member, assuming the Manager, that stopped by to check on us mid meal. She was super friendly and nice. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and drinks at Luzianne. Minor things noted, mainly on the cook of the eggs, but nothing awful. It his the spot and checked the boxes!

To make matters worse, there was open bench seating in the back where customers ordering to-go could sit. I offered to order food to-go so we could at least sit down and get started while waiting, and she told me if I did that they would remove our name from the waitlist because "you have to pick one or the other." No willingness to problem solve whatsoever. She repeatedly said she was "sorry," but her actions showed the opposite. I was simply trying to work together to find some reasonable solution instead of continuing to watch everyone else get seated while our family, including small children, kept waiting. Absolutely horrible customer service experience.

My boyfriend isn't really a fan of pork but one bite of my food and he regretted not ordering the same. I'm never able to finish a full meal so he did get to eat what I couldn't. We also tried the bananas foster French toast which was sinfully delicious. All of the food was reasonably priced as well. We will definitely come again and we have highly recommend this place to all of our friends who like to visit New Orleans.

I absolutely love this cafe! I initially fell in love with this cafe after dining at its location on Magazine Street. But, after my experiences at the Harrison Avenue location, I would prefer to eat at this location even if I lived next door to the other one! Overall, I love the menu and of course, the specialty cocktails!!! But, it is the manager, Chris, who definitely makes each dining experience an "experience." Even though the service here (and at the location on Magazine Street) is great, Chris definitely has a presence that is noticeable and missed when he isn't there! He has an outstanding personality and is interactive even at the busiest of times. But, more importantly, he is extremely attentive and kind when dining with my seven year old Little Princess...he actually engages her when she asks for a booster seat for her doll and provides a souvenir mug for "her" to drink out of, as well!!! In life, it is the little things that count and Chris makes those "little things" HUGE; dining with a little one can be challenging at times, but because he makes the atmosphere comfortable for her, he makes HER day!!! Just recently, we ate there when Chris was off for the day and my daughter, Zoe (who Chris knows by name), laid her head on the table and said that she was sad and asked, "Where is Chris?" Not only did the fact that Zoe noticed Chris was not there blow me away, but our waitress called him so that he could FaceTime with Zoe - ON HIS OFF DAY! And, he greeted her with the same contagious energy that he exudes in person!!! Also, Zoe has a speech & language disorder (mixed expressive and receptive language disorder) where sometimes she is limited in expressing herself. Thus, for her to communicate her feelings was definitely a winner and guess what??? Mommi was "sad" that Chris was off, too! Lol...thank you to Chris and his staff for their excellent hospitality!!! Chris deserves many accolades and superlatives for all that he does; keep up the good work...I can go on and on...just as they say that the way to a man's heart is through his stomach, the way to a parent's heart is through their little one(s)!!! I want to start by saying I am giving 3 stars because as always the food is amazing. I never write reviews, but feel this one is necessary. I would like to say my server was great, very friendly and personable. The atmosphere of this establishment is wonderful. I am writing a review to address the hostess that was working today. I came in around 11:30, 7/18/16. The hostess who sat us was clearly on drugs. During my entire meal I watched her walking aimlessly around the restaurant. It was clear she was in another world. At one point I saw a server trying to wait on her table and the hostess kept going over to the table talking and messing with things on the table. The people at the table clearly looked annoyed with her. I was amazed she was allowed to work in that condition. I saw the manager and she interacted serval times with this woman. How did she not notice this? I hope someone other than the manager on duty today reads these messages and something can be done. She was very much a distraction to me and my guest. I have eaten here several times and could not believe what I was seeing. We have always had wonderful service and delicious food. read more

I'd like to start off with saying, my fiancé & I have been here plenty of times with great experiences. Always great service but unfortunately for us, today wasn't the same experience. Our waitress STEPHANIE was beyond rude. She had an ugly attitude as soon as we walked in from the time we walked out. I'm not one to complain but this was absolutely inexcusable. we were so excited to go up until our encounter with Stephanie. Ive worked in the service industry for quite sometime now so I know how things can be. But for no reason? I'm furious! It ruined my entire morning. I've been to the magazine location and love it. I keep returning to this one because I love the atmosphere and staff. I remember Chris from magazine and he's great!! I tried the lobster Benedict, mind blown. Wife got the shrimp and grits, like usual, and it will always be nothing short of amazing. Chris recommended that Stephanie will be taking care of us, she was so great, 5 star service from beginning to end. Only pitfall is the carpets. My first visit and I will be back. This is my new favorite place to eat!!! Best coffee I have ever had, extremely fresh. The manager came over and talked to us, she was so friendly and nice. My daughter and I commented on how we felt like "family" there. The food was really good and tasted fresh. Our waiter was Jay and was very nice and helpful. Atmosphere was very relaxed. Misinformed about bar laws to start, I was going to sit my children at the bar so we could eat however, was told we couldn't because they serve alcohol. Well in Louisiana, if the principal commodity is alcohol then that is true however, I saw more eggs Benedict's than I saw bloody Mary's.
