The Supreme Omelette
Bethany C.

Another Broken Egg Cafe in Panama City Beach was our final stop on the way out of town, and honestly... what a mic drop of a breakfast. If you're going to leave, this is how you do it. I ordered the Supreme Omelette, and lthat thing means business. Fluffy, packed, and powerful enough that I stayed full the entire day. No snacks. No lunch. Just fond memories and zero hunger. The potatoes were perfectly seasoned (you know the kind), and the English muffin was exactly what an English muffin wants to be when it grows up. Great food, great portions, and the perfect send-off breakfast before leaving Panama City Beach. Another Broken Egg Cafe didn't just feed us, it fueled us. Five stars and zero regrets.

Another Broken eggs never disappoints anywhere we go! Service is always friendly and knowledgeable servers-on what is on the menu. We didn't have to wait any and seated right away. Food was good and more than enough for us-party of two! Restaurant was clean and bathrooms too! Definitely we will return to this location.

Service and food were great! Kids meal could have been better. Overall everything was good and we would be back!

We aren't from the area but come through a couple times a year visiting family. We've been to a few other places in the area like the pancakery and Andy's. We decided to come here for early Sunday morning breakfast over The Pancakery before heading out if town after I read so many wonderful reviews. My group of 4 was seated promptly and there were very few other customers. Another couple came in and were seated quickly as well and their server greeted them immediately and gave her name and offered drinks. We had been at the table maybe 5-7 minutes and no one had greeted us yet when a young man came running up apologizing for taking a while and immediately asked if we were ready to order beverages. I was interested in ordering one of their speciality spiked coffees or a mimosa, as they have an entire menu for these. I decided to order their strawberry mimosa along with a coffee. This is where the experience took a turn and I got really annoyed and it put an awkwardness now to the whole interaction and meal. Alex, our server, asked to see my ID after I ordered the mimosa. I responded that I did not have it with me, it may be in the car but I didn't have it on me. (Remember I said we were traveling through, I wasn't driving and it was packed in a bag). My husband and I both had a picture of my ID on our phones. Front and back pictures of my drivers license and military identification card of which we offered to show those. Alex (we finally asked his name) responded that no, he couldn't accept those and it has to be the physical card. I just looked at him, clearly annoyed, I mean, I'm not exactly in my 20s. Then said, well, I don't have my ID on me, it's out in the car. He says kind of softly, I'll go ahead and get that in for you and puts it into his computer. He finishes taking the other drink orders and then.... He asks me if I still want the mimosa!!! I'm really annoyed now and say, not if I have to go out to my car and get it. He finally leaves to put in the other drink orders and I hear him tell his coworker not to make the mimosa. When he comes back to our table he says he even checked with his manager and says his manager wouldn't allow him to put the order in. He then says some half apology and says it's almost spring break and he has to ID and it's the law he could lose his job, etc. I don't know what spring break has to do with me having breakfast at 8 am on a Sunday with my family, it was starting to feel like some kind of power play, which was ridiculous. I wasn't ordering anything crazy, I wasn't trying to get wasted, I just thought it would be nice to have a glass with my meal. I know there is such a thing as reasonable discretion or even managerial discretion, apparently it's not allowed here though. Then, as we were about midway through our meal the hostess seats a couple at the table directly behind us even though there were at least 10 other tables available. Why would you do that? At least skip a table. On another note the food was very well done. Everything was cooked perfectly, the flavors excellent. The French toast was light, moist and perfectly cooked throughout which can be tough to do. We asked for crispy bacon and that's exactly what we got. The place is well lit, nice temperature, very clean and they even have an outside dining area! We may return, right now I'm still very put off by the whole ID incident.

The Carmel cold coffee I had was enough for my 5 star review. I could've drank a gallon! Our food and service was excellent. The hash brown Benedict was unique and delicious. Pancakes were gluten free and we were so happy they had a gluten free menu.

Wow oh wow, I am so happy that we decided to stop by and try them out. They were gonna be closing within the hour so we weren't sure if we should, but it was the best decision we made. With the level of attention they gave us, you would never had guessed that they were closing in less than an hour. They also didn't rush us to finish or try to pressure us to leave either. Awesome staff!! Now onto the food. We had several different items and we shared them family-style. I'll start with the items that weren't bad, but didn't wow us. The Chicken and Waffles was ok, as well as the Chicken Sandwich. Not bad, just not memorable. Let's move onto the good stuff, which will make your visit well worth it. The Biscuits and Gravy were amazing, they weren't too peppery and their sausage tasted delicious with no overpowering fennel flavor. The Bacquezo Omelette was just ridiculously amazing. So much so, that you'll struggle to stop eating or sharing it. Make sure you upgrade at least one of your dishes to the City Grits because it just rounds out the meal nicely. If you have a sweet tooth, don't worry, we got you too. Make sure to order the Cinnamon Roll French Toast. What is it exactly? Well 3 Cinnamon Rolls that they make into French Toasts. Cinnamon Rolls... good, French Toast... good, Cinnamon Rolls + French Toast... amazingly good!!!! If you're not sure about coming and trying them out, stop doubting your gut and DO IT!!! You definitely won't regret it!!

My fried chicken salad and mimosa were super yummy! I always get breakfast potato's when we eat here, and I always find them slightly bland, but they are good salted! Great service, and wonderful patio seating to enjoy the pretty weather. Large menu with lots of breakfast options. I especially like how many options they have for variations of eggs Benedict.

With a big sad face, I have to give a negative review to a place that used to be one of the best. Ordered holiday drinks. They came out looking a little like vomit. When grossed out we asked the server to take them off because they looked and smelled bad. She took them away then came back to the table to inform us the manager wouldn't take alcohol off the bill. Mind you they were never even sipped on. We were first customer there and our food was cold. Manager never coated the table. The server wasn't very friendly to say the least. Also, the doors didn't open at opening hours. The restaurant was freezing. Yet, it was clean. The hostess was very nice though.

I tried this place again, hoping it would be better. Unfortunately, it was not. Eggs Blackstone Benedict grits were cold and flavorless .The tomatoes tasted rotten and eggs seemed undercooked. Service was good and coffee was endless.

The indulgence pancakes and double cheese burger.

We visited ABEC the morning of my daughter's 30th birthday! The cafe was very clean! We enjoyed the food tremendously! The pancakes were phenomenal, this is coming from a person that does not normally order/eat them! Our waitress, Esther was top-top-tier!!! She was not only on top of things, she had the sweetest personality! She served us with a smile even though the place was pretty busy with customers! If you can, visit Another Broken Egg Cafe in Panama City Beach, Florida. You won't regret it!

We always enjoy our time here! You have the option to sit indoors or outdoors, and the menu selection is amazing! Never had bad service, or a bad meal. Love the fun drink options, too!

The Cuban sandwich was just phenomenally delicious. The pernil was well received by everyone too. The ropa vieja was great too. To be fair, there were no losing meals at that table. Despite having two employees standing at the front talking behind the register, the restroom had no toilet paper. When we placed our order, we were told they were out of yucca balls and that they also had no beer available. We ordered a tripleta, beef patties, and juice instead. What was most frustrating was that the customer who ordered immediately after us was able to order and receive yucca balls. We asked about the discrepancy, and the explanation we were given was that she had ordered them earlier. However, we clearly heard her place the order while standing there. A simple, honest response--such as acknowledging that there had been a misunderstanding and apologizing for serving the last order to another customer--would have gone a long way. Instead, the interaction left us feeling singled out and, honestly, racially profiled because the other customer was Hispanic. Ironically, we are Hispanic as well, which made the situation even more disappointing. To top it off, the "tripleta" sandwich was not an authentic tripleta. If the chef wants to call it a traditional tripleta, it should follow the classic preparation and the meats that make a tripleta what it is. Otherwise, it would be better to rename the sandwich rather than market it as a traditional tripleta. Anyone from Puerto Rico--or anyone who has enjoyed authentic tripletas at Puerto Rican restaurants--will immediately notice the difference and likely be disappointed. The sandwich would also benefit greatly from properly seasoning both the pork and the steak. Adding the traditional mayo-ketchup sauce would go a long way toward delivering the authentic flavor people expect from a tripleta. The beef empanadas made the one star in this review since they were decently stuffed. Just need to work better on the wrapping. I posted a pic. But at least they were made and not bought frozen. I understand that mistakes happen, but honesty, consistency, authenticity, and good customer service are what determine whether customers return. Unfortunately, this experience did not meet those expectations.
