Spoke to the nicest lady on the phone and told her my problem, within 5 minutes Wayne our repairman called me and set up an appointment to come out on Saturday. Unheard of right? Not Wayne he said he would be there and it was not a triple cost fee to come out. I called early Saturday morning for a service tech to come check out what was going on with the furnace. Greater Comfort offered 24 hr service and answered immediately when I called. There was a service tech available 2 hrs from when I called. Jessie was polite, clean, knowledgeable, and walked me through every step of what he was doing. He diagnosed the issue in 15 minutes and gave me great options. He offered other services but didn't try to upsell, or pressure me. this was the best experience I have had in a long time with a service company! As a home builder and remodeling contractor with over 20 years of experience in the trades, I want to give Greater Comfort an "atta boy" for great service and affordability.

Joe, my service technician, arrived right at 9:30 a.m., the front end of his estimated time frame of 9:30 to 10 a.m. (He could give my cable guy a lesson in timeliness!) Joe was courteous, and went right to work. He didn't try to up-sale me on any "premium services" like other companies I have used. He also didn't try to sell me parts I didn't need - like the last company that serviced my HVAC unit. At the end of my appointment, all I needed was a new air filter. Joe thanked me, talked about his family business, and hurried on his way with a handshake and a smile. I will definitely be calling Birkley for my next service appointment!

Over the weekend while out of town on business, my heating unit stopped working. My Nest thermostat…read morewas set to 62F and when I returned, my house was a chilly 54F. Not good, I thought. After doing some basic troubleshooting - making sure the connections were fine and then swapping out Nest for my old thermostat, and seeing no improvement, I called for Birkley. They were able to come out to the house within a few hours, and gave me a courtesy call of 15 minutes prior to arrival so I could drive home. The technician went downstairs to do some troubleshooting, and while he was at it, he checked out the heating unit from top-to-bottom and gave it a good cleaning. Long story short, it ended up being that the neighbor had blocked the input/output pipes that led to the HE furnace. Once those were removed, the heating unit worked fine and now I have heat! Great, professional service. Allowed me to be inquisitive and showed me some of the workings of the furnace. At least now I know how some of it works!

I had called Action Heating and Air for my furnace service and found them to be dependable and professional, so I figured I would give them another try. I booked an appointment a few days out and Rick showed up... on time and ready to tackle the a/c inspection. He did brief me on what he would be doing and then quickly got to work (no rush as it was not hot, well not yet anyway). He did his inspection and cleaning of the unit briefing me along the way as to his findings. Once done, he cleaned up the work area and presented me with a very reasonable bill of service. Rick was extremely professional and friendly at all times during the service visit. I would not hesitate on calling Action Heating and Air again for future services (like in November for the furnace service). Thanks again Rick!

First, contacted the day after service that the heat was still not running properly. The fellow (Jake?) called me back to say he had reached out to sevicemen but none had returned his call. This was Saturday. The problem would be dealt with, apparently, the "first of the week." I called today, Sunday, to give them further information and got an answering service, who obviously knew nothing about what I was saying, but would give them the message." I'm not sure these two incidents truly represent 24/7 service. You can contact the company, but I think service on the problem is implied when 24/7 is advertised. I'll be happy to edit my review when the heat problem is ironed out.

These guys offered up different options to take care of our issue and seemed very knowledgeable on everything. Sometimes you just have to hire and expert and trust their work.
