I was confused as it's been a while and we haven't received our food. Like what do you mean how are we doing? She also didn't mention anything about our food coming. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt. 20 minutes after that and she asked us if we needed silverware. I was even more confused as we ordered 3 subs, 2 sets of wings, and a quesadilla. Only one thing on the menu required silverware and that was salads which none of us ordered. Our food took 53 minutes. The waitress never offered an explanation as to what happened. She said the kitchen was slammed but not once did I see anyone come in to pick up takeout. Two tables came in after us around 8pm and received their food before ours. Honesty is the best policy here. Sure, it was a bit noisy due to their pool league being held Thursday nights, but it was still a pleasant and clean establishment. 'Wing night' was the theme, and it did not disappoint. My wife and I tried the Cajun and Garlic Parmesan wings. Both were cooked crisp and with the right amount of seasoning. Also had fried cheese curds and pretzel sticks for an appetizer which were both good. The service by our waitress was fantastic. A nice little stop, especially for lunch I'd say.

The same issue happened with the salads and entrees -- no one at our table received their food at the same time. One couple ordered the beef on weck sandwiches. The beef was extremely dry and overcooked. Being from Buffalo, I know what a good beef on weck should be, and this definitely was not it. My wife ordered the scallop dinner, which came with only five very small scallops that were overcooked. I ordered the beef tips, and they were so overcooked they were almost like jerky. I sent them back, and while they did remake the dish, it took another 15 minutes. Because of the delay, everyone else at the table had already finished eating before my replacement meal arrived. Our server was around, but overall was not very attentive throughout the meal.

Possibly the best French Toast I've ever had. It's egg battered which is a plus. They also give you plenty of syrup and butter. I got the Gin Mill Brunch Burger because I was craving some burgers, but I didn't know they had a separate breakfast menu, so I went with the brunch burger, which sounded good. It's a normal burger but with egg and instead of using regular burger buns, they use a bagel. It also comes with diced hash browns which were very flavorful. As much as I love burgers, this one just wasn't as good as I hoped. Mainly because of the bagel, which was harder than your typical burger bun. The burger was also lacing some flavor. Our server was also very nice and explained everything to us. The interior is also very nice and has a historic atmosphere with lots of taxidermy.

And serving a souffle cup with the lid still on is just a wee bit tacky. YES, I'm picky. And proud of it.
