I've been taking my computers there for 10 years because they were close. -- Last week I gave them a call on a Thursday, I was told I wouldn't even hear from a technician till "possibly" Monday at the earliest. As well they costs have always been significantly over the estimate. But like most people my computer is vital. SO I LOOKED AROUND! Wow am I glad I did. I will never go back to Mitec. So I drove my computer across town, and checked it in at VCC. I kid you not! -- Within an hour that same Thursday they called to tell me it was the motherboard going bad on my 8-9 year old computer. But I love my computer, right! How much. Over the phone they quoted $100 for the new motherboard and 200-250 for labor. Okay!!! Said I would get it back by early or mid week. Mind you this is the last two weeks before Christmas. So the mother board didn't come in till Thursday, which would have been sooner had it not been the busiest season at the PO. Got it back. Works perfect, nothing lost, everything as it was when it died. Get this... total service and parts were $270. Wow, fantastic. You know when you drop your computer off at Mitec... nice people and all but their is a giant wall separating you from the tech side, and you get the sinking feeling their going to hold your computer hostage. Not at VCC. Everything is there and you can see the projects their working on. There's even a sweet little Doxy who waddles out to greet you. They're friendly, understanding, trustworthy, fast and truly fair on price... What any business should aspire to being. Look no further. They're on Goodyear, worth the drive ! ***** VENTURA COUNTY COMPUTERS WAS and is ABSOLUTELY GREAT!!!!!

They are hard-ish to find, they are in the industrial area in the west end of Camarillo. and you need to call ahead if you have specific parts that you need-because during Covid they closed off their warehouse, so you have to order by items now instead of browsing the aisles. But they are super nice & easy to work with. :)

They don't stock much of anything relating to ICs or transistors, but you'll find a selection of chassis, and hardware items to build up your prototypes. T One downside is that since they have so few walk-in customers, you can't get in to the parts area without waiting for one of the phone support people to break free and walk you over to the parts area. Another down side is that much of their shelf stock is very old. Spray cans of solvent may be half-empty from can leaks, and electrolytic aren't necessary going to be fresh. But with components like fans, relays, transformers, resistors, etc. that won't matter. They also carry hand tools, tool cases, heat-shrink, solder, connectors, adapters, plugs... just a lot of other stuff to create and repair electronic projects. Their pricing is not particularly cheap. The people working there (mostly in cubicles doing phone orders) are very nice.

A birthday welcome sign was displayed, which I thought was a really nice touch. We were actually a few minutes late to our own party and Michael made sure that our guests were welcomed and could start playing and having fun! The price is extremely fair! He doesn't charge any additional fees to allow us to bring our own food in for the party, which was really nice because most places will. The boys had a good time bouncing back and forth between the VR and the other PlayStation games. It was perfect place for our celebration and we highly recommend it. It's also a great place for drop in while you're doing shopping at the mall if you have older kids!
