AntFarm is pretty incredible. This location is the center of their community in Sandy. Their mission is "to see all people healthy, live with purpose, and contribute to community well-being." At the cafe, they do this by hosting all sorts of events, offering employment and training programs, organizing networking lunches, providing a study space and an informal gathering place, and more. As a regular ol' customer, the staff treats you like family. They greet you with a warm welcome, are authentic in their interactions, and happy to answer questions. The food is delicious and made fresh - I most recently got the breakfast burrito. And the vibe of the cafe is great. Folks came in to work, have meetings or dates, just grab a quick coffee, someone even walked through strumming a guitar. There's bench seating, high top tables, a couple of couches, and a kids area. AntFarm as an organization does a TON - addiction prevention and support, tutoring, music academy, elder support, youth outreach, help for people who speak English as a second language, gardening and outdoor programs for youth, warming and cooling shelters, adult and youth homeless services. They even run a farmers market. Definitely a business worth supporting whenever you're in Sandy!

AntFarm is a favorite stop anytime I find myself in Sandy on the way through town to the mountain or to Bend. The cost to value ratio is excellent. This is such a cute cafe. It has a bar area to sit or an arrangement of tables. The menu has options for a variety of diets: gluten free, vegan, and vegetarian. We ordered breakfast and a cup of tomato soup (vegan). We also had a very moist and delicious gluten free banana muffin. Finally the lady taking our order was so patient with our large group with many questions and diets and our youngest with his indecisiveness :). Worth a stop into.

Great breakfast experience at AntFarm! This was our first visit here, and it didn't disappoint. The place is cute & clean with plenty of seating...larger tables with smaller ones around the perimeter. The customer service was super friendly. The barista/server was working her booty off this morning, covering the coffee counter, taking orders, and bringing orders to tables...all with a smile. We ordered traditional breakfast plates with eggs, potatoes, bacon, and toast. Everything was prepared fast, to order, and tasted wonderful. Great find, we will definitely return. :)

Looking for a healthier and more interesting dining option in Sandy, I was so happy to discover AntFarm a few years ago. The atmosphere is coffee house cooperative and on my lunch visits it has been nice to see people using the open space for get togethers with kids in town in one part of the room while others are getting business done on laptops. Kudos for running a business focused on sustainability, healthy eating, and youth development. The menu is small, but I've enjoyed every item and usually get a sandwich or soup off of the daily specials menu. I was interested to note that they are partnering with another cafe in Estacada to expand their footprint.

This was the best breakfast we had while in Oregon. The quality was fantastic and the portions were perfect for price point. There was a cool little kid's play area in the back corner and they had high chairs available. I highly recommend the breakfast bowl and iced coffee.

Okay, AntFarm brings several things to mind - none of which applied to our experience today. Turns out AntFarm is a community outreach hub that just so happens to include a killer cafe and coffee shop! The amount of community programs that were listed this week alone was astounding. All of that and I haven't even gotten to the food yet! I had a classic BLT - and it was fabulous. Sometimes you order toasted sandwiches and the bread is so sharp it cuts your mouth. This one was *just right*. Delicious bread with just enough crunch, a generous amount of ingredients, and a nice assortment of greens. Each sandwich comes with chips, and they are all very reasonably priced. On top of all of this, the atmosphere was absolutely lovely. This spot is a hidden community gem that is both delicious and worth supporting. Check it out your next time through Sandy! This just might be our new lunch pit stop.

How do you go to this place and NOT hum Alien Ant Farm's version of Michael Jackson's "Smooth Criminal"? I sure couldn't and now I have that song stuck in my head. I guess it's better than having "It's a Small World" stuck there. Anyway, on the never-ending drive out to Mt. Hood, we stopped in Sandy for a quick bite to eat (after Joe's Donuts was closed... Dang it) and had a decent meal in a pleasant environment. I just did a build-your-own sandwich with some Turkey, Rye, Onion, Lettuce, and Tomatoes (the classic TROLT) and it was delicious. The Mrs. had the vegan soup (squash or some other gourd) which was good. The restrooms were clean, they had plenty of vegan options, and the staff was friendly. Just look in from the outside and see all the things going on!

Ordered a Ruben sandwich and it was sloppy put together and the meat was tough. The menu stated chips come with sandwiches but they made me pay for it. Will not eat there again

Great food with a great mission to help out those in need. Everything is more or less made from scratch. Great coffee bar, fresh in store made baked goods as well. They have a reasonably extensive breakfast and lunch menu. I had the tomato soup and Greek Veggie wrap. The food came quick. The bowl was plentiful and the soup very heart served with four slices of artisanal bread. I tore the bread up and used as cracker substitutes. The soup is too high end for saltines. The wrap super fresh with big chunks of feta and great Kalamata olives. Finished off with a cappuccino and apple danish. Was very filling lunch and I skipped dinner. The facility itself is rustic and low key. People very attentive and welcoming.

It is a welcoming wide open space with very large picnic style tables. Our chicken salad sandwich was quite nice with a few raisins mixed in and grilled and the veggie wrap was quite nice as well with humus. Fresh ingredients and homemade goods.

Heading through Sandy and looking for a yummy lunch, look no more. We were pleasantly surprised by our lunch at the AntFarm. We had a bowl of Chili Chicken Pozole (the bowl is humongous) and a grilled BLT with cheese. Very splittable. We'll be back to try more options! read more

A very nice discovery enroute to Sisters Oregon. Sandy used to be bereft of anything even slightly above diner, but this place has awesome coffee as well as delicious sandwiches, in a cool environment with free Wi-Fi and plenty of space. On top of everything else they're doing good in the community so they get an extra boost for that! Check it out! read more

The coffee and food at Ant farm is great! Unfortunately, the managment is not. I can't support an organization that puts on a face of helping the community and the youth but doesn't live it out behind the scenes. The organization really is a good idea, but you can't achieve success if you don't have good management skills that stand behind the idea. I can't recommend this place to anyone, neither as a business to support or as a workplace. It's toxic, manipulative, and they aren't considerate of their employees and the people that work so hard to make the programs run. Ant farm, please do better. For the sake of the community and the kids you're trying to reach. read more

Unfortunately the three times I've been there, the breakfast potatoes are cold. I know the Antfarm plays an intrigal part in our community but really...cold potatoes, not once but THREE times?! I think I just had the best biscuits and gravy ever. I added eggs and bacon and I was completely stuffed. I can't wait to get back here again for breakfast. Coffee is on the weaker side but good quality. The pricing is a great bargain, in my opinion. read more

AntFarm has got lots of charm and doubly charming baristas behind the counter. Some days all you want is a good coffee, decent sandwich, and a smile. On those days, become an AntFarm girl or guy at this downtown Sandy cafe. And bring your dog because the friendly folks at AntFarm also have water on the front patio for the pup. For me, I got a Ham & Swiss Sandwich on a Baguette with a Latte while Olivia Z. went with a relatively plain Old-Fashioned Breakfast Plate and Coffee. All came with heaping sides of smiles and charm. I may have just ordered wrong but the turkey sandwich on whole wheat bread was nothing special. Bread was super dry and the turkey seemed very processed. Don't not go because of my experience but maybe think twice before ordering turkey on whole wheat. read more

I've visited many times for community related meetings, and to buy their garden veggies, but today was my first time eating. I had a meeting here and was starving, so came early to get something to eat. I inquired about the Roasted Garlic Tomato soup, and the server quickly offered to bring out a sample (one of my fav things a server can do). It was amazing! Very tasty, and I'm a soup snob. I purchased a cup for $4, and was pleasantly surprised when it came out--they served a bigger "cup" than you'll typically find. Two small pieces of bread also came. I will be returning for more soup, at the least! read more

I LOVE the AntFARM the atmosphere is very relaxed, old world meets modern! Their food is great, have GF options that are really good. More than that, ANT FARM really helps the youth of Sandy and surrounding areas. They offer free Tutoring for students, job skills training, internships, and so much more. Went there twice, once to buy-out their pastries (blueberry ginger muffin, lemon cream cheese Danish, berry & cream Danish, apple turnover) and the second time for a couple of Reuben sandwiches. Neither visit resulted in a disappointment, instead I found the items to be well prepared, tasty, coupled with a clean facility and a cordial staff. Highly recommended. read more

We've been in Sandy 3 years now and this has always been my favorite place. I love all that they stand for: community, sustainability, youth outreach/support, the list goes on... They offer punch cards for beverages, which I really appreciate. And as an added bonus, if you bring your own cup, you get 2 stamps and 50cents off. Loooove it :) My only critique: I'd love to see more gluten free & vegan options. They offer gluten free OR vegan, but the only standing gf/v options tend to be rotating soups (albeit tasty soups) and house-made granola (also good) but gf/v bread and pastries would be awesome. read more

I've gone here a few times and have gotten chai lattes and such and it's a super cute place, but today I was extremely disappointed. I got half a sandwich and a Caesar salad. The bread was so dry that I could barely bite into it and the salad I got was $4 and squished into a tiny little cup. Don't think I'll be getting lunch here again. $10 down the drain, thanks AntFarm. AntFarm is the best! I've tried their scones in many flavors - perfect texture!! Delicious latte. Great mushroom polenta and chicken salad sandwich. Love the breakfast bowl and biscuits and gravy. Tasty molasses cookies. You can't go wrong! Love the ever changing local art. Adore the sustainable efforts with waste and coffee. Every person behind the register is kind and tries really hard. Always a bit of a wait but well worth it, and have learned to enjoy the pace. Drive 15 minutes from Gresham to support their wonderful programs and would drive longer! read more

Yummy food at AntFarm Cafe and Bakery in Sandy, Oregon. Better yet, it supports a nonprofit organization that provides programs that teach youth about gardening, community service and outdoor stewardship. Revenue from the Cafe supports programs. Round your order up to do even more good. My grilled cheese with Swiss and cheddar cheeses, tomatoes and onions was delicious, and the roasted garlic tomato soup was some of the best I've had (and I've tried a lot of tomato soups!) read more

As the nonprofit organization began in the late ninety's, AntFarm Café and Bakery was established in 2013 to provide healthy food and a community space or youth and families. Our intention was to create the Café and Bakery as a teaching facility to help young people gain skills. The Café and Bakery is a hub of community activity.

Two Foxes Singing, also known as Nunpa, is the founder of AntFarm Café and Bakery, a program of AntFarm, a 501(C) 3 nonprofit organization. I can only have gluten free foods due to allergies, so that made my options even more limited. Thankfully, this food cart had cheesesteak fries! I had them add their grilled pickled jalapeños to them as well. It. Was. Fire! Such a huge portion. They were beyond piping hot. So, it was perfect for a cold rainy day. It hit the spot and beyond. Angie I am writing to address a matter that has weighed heavily on my heart regarding the treatment my son, who has Down syndrome, and I received from you and your program. It has become clear to me that instead of truly offering support, you and your coworkers merely gave the appearance of helping, while in reality, you added to our struggles. You chose to put us out on the streets without warning, while allowing a known drug addict and child abuser to remain in the home. This level of disregard for our safety and well-being was not only unprofessional but also deeply hurtful. Your actions made it evident that you lack both empathy and integrity in how you treat people who turn to you for help. Since leaving Sandy, I am happy to say that my son and I are in a much better place. We have our own home now, and we are thriving far beyond what we experienced under your program. God is indeed good all the time, and despite the trials you put us through, we are stronger for it. There is a stark difference between genuinely helping someone and making it appear as though you are. Unfortunately, your involvement in our lives will always be remembered as a negative force on our growth and journey. I have shared the details of our experience with others, ensuring that your conduct is made known. It is my sincere hope that you reflect on how you treat others. One day, when life brings challenges your way, you may find yourself in need of the help you so carelessly withheld from us. we stopped there on our way to the mountains and ordered to go. what a weird place...mismatching old furniture and dirty floor. my burrito was bland,the cheese inside was not fully melted and potato tasted old. my friend got a mediocre (in his words) sandwich. unfortunately,when we started eating,we were too far from this so-called cafe to complain. also,the muffins we got were overpriced,not as nearly as good as at another local bakery and really small. if you want a nice burrito,go to some Mexican chain restaurant. the food over there is better AND cheaper!! we are not going back to AntFarm my review has ''magically'' disappeared from this page without me deleting it,so here we go again. and I do not remember the exact day and time when I visited,but it was on the weekend a couple of weeks ago. read more

This is a coffee and scone parlor for the most part. Not really full meals. A hang out spot for internet and coffee basically. Good ambiance. My son worked here for a year as barista and also clearing Nation Forest Trails. Ant Farm is a diverse company which aims to help young people get back on their feet.
