When I saw that slices were $7, I was a bit skeptical. I routinely eat half of a large pizza by myself. Well, not all pizza is created equal. I come from NY, and our pizza is so thin, that you fold it in half, sort of a U-shape, to give it the structure to make it to your mouth. Each of these slices, while probably larger than the ones I'm used to, are also twice as thick. I'm guessing that each slice is equivalent to a loaf of bread, with a decent amount of cheese, sauce, and toppings. It wasn't the best pizza I've ever had, but there's the old adage that quantity has a quality all its own. It also was better than the average pizza I've had. So I would go with the largest ,above average, pizza that I've ever had. Easy parking, friendly service, and a restaurant comparable to a large subway. Not a place for a fancy date, but nice enough to stop by with a coworker during lunch. read more

Yesterday I placed an order through the app and it says FREE delivery with all app orders. As you can see in my photo, I was charged $4.95 for delivery. Also, I placed the order on a Monday for delivery on Saturday. I called on Thursday to verify my order was there and lady says yes we have it. Saturday 2PM comes and no pizza! I call to see if they are on their way and they have no record of my order at all! (BTW, this same thing happened to me on Superbowl Sunday!!) How does that even happen?? There was about 3-4 black hairs on my pizza. Considering I've driven 50 minutes I wiped the hairs off with a tissue and still ate it being that I am starving and this restaurant was Plan B for pizza. Came here today 06/29/19 with my Mom for lunch. We've been here before but its been over a year. She had a steakburger and I had eggplant parmesagn which is no longer on the menu. They will make it by special request. Mom said the hamburger was good and I thought the eggplant parmisagn was good. Mom really likes the waffle frys and I agree they are delicious. For $10.00 you get an enormous serving of eggplant with pasta underneath. I asked for extra marinara and they provided it. This dish does not come with a salad, I think it used to. They do offer a variety of salads on their menu and next time I'll get one of those. They provided a long bread roll with the meal but it was stale. The restaurant is very basic plain inside and very small. Its clean and the bathroom is clean. Its just a little store front off of North ave. One would think its a dive but it definitely is not. Better than Bacci's. I for one am glad Slice Factory moved into this location, despite the fact that there's still a Bacci's sign outside (??). I had a pleasant enough lunch here to justify returning once a month, give or take. Pretty good 'za. I opted for the meatlovers, which true to its namesake came with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon. Like Bacci's before them, the slices are gargantuan, certainly not a one-handed item. I found if folded Brooklyn-style, the super-slices were much easier to manage. When I stopped in, I was greeted warmly and offered a special--5 wings for $3, which is a pretty good deal, especially considering how many sauce choices they had (I counted at least a dozen). In fact, I was so impressed with their boneless wings that I wouldn't hesitate to come back here for -just- wings. I got these, with my meatlovers slice and a pop for $10 even, a terrific value. The pop selection is their own Slice Factory brand, but there's a good variety (cherry cola, orange, lemon-limeade). Plus points for having complimentary hot sauce cups by the register, along with the requisite red pepper flakes and crumbled parmesan. Staff was friendly, much more so than the previous owners. And I totally dig the 'Entourage' wall graphic, not to mention the Chicago sports neon signs! I can't in good conscience award them 5*, as some of the dining room chairs are in disrepair, and there are (for whatever reason) drink machines plugged in, but not used. Slice Factory is a must-visit pizza place if you are here or planning to visit Melrose Park. All of their food here was perfectly cooked and made to order. They have a huge variety of flavors and styles. They overload cheese, sausage, pepperoni, Hawaiian, and others. All of their pizza is affordable and has reasonable price. I am also amazed by how big their serving is for pizza, it is like in a jumbo size. You can also order their chicken wings, fries, sandwiches, mozzarella sticks, salad, and beverages. Everything was on point. They also have Lemonade, Iced Tea, and Sodas. What a great big menu. I ordered their buffalo fries, mozzarella sticks, slice-a-Dilla, and a glass of root beer. I am really amazed because they serve my orders correctly and on time. Their serving is large and fair. Definitely my new favorite pizza spot! They are way cheaper than other pizza places around the area. No wonder why their place is always busy. Their location is very accessible and near other popular places and shops. You can also order online and they will deliver it to you. Very convenient and family-friendly spot. Their employees were great, nice, and decent. All of them are working so fast and always helping the customers. All of them are well-trained and fun to be with. You will not be disappointed with their service. This place is stupid. And I ain't just saying that because I used to come here pretty often when it was Bacci's 6-7 years ago. I was indecisive when it came to lunch options so I decided to take a flyer on "Slice Factory" (believe you me homie, the food tastes every bit as large-scale manufactured as the name suggests). I thought it was still as simple as you order a slice, they box it up and send you on your way. Instead, I place my order, then I'm sent to the other side of the counter to wait. I waited some more and I realize it's because they eventually send someone to throw your slice in some dumbass oversized toaster oven before giving it to you, and the pies you see in the window are really half-cooked. Yo, I only get a half hour lunch break and I already rolled the dice venturing this far from the workplace. What is this f**kery? I get it. They want your slice to be piping hot with crispy edges and whatever. F**k that. Bacci's pizza was good without having to do that. This didn't even help. The bottom of my slice had more blackened spots than I prefer. You can get away with that sh*t in a brick wood-fired oven, but this ain't that. The taste overall was of glorified Tombstone frozen pizza that I left in the oven too long 'cause I was prolly drunk. And I also had to spend precious time on my break waiting for it to cool, on account of their unnecessary oven tactic, so I didn't burn the roof of my mouth. Asked for black olives on as well and they were carelessly thrown on there after the fact. Also got mozzarella sticks. Not even edible. Cold and the mozzarella in the middle felt like I was eating a string cheese out the fridge. After 3 calls and threatening to cancel my order, the driver finally came = service is horrible & slow It was very dry, cold & burnt. I had to give it to my dogs. Terrible customer service! I ordered this off of Door Dash and later forget that I didn't order a drink. I called immediately afterwards and explained the situation to the employee to. I've worked at a pizza restaurant before so I was just expecting to buy a 2 Liter n tell them to leave it with my order, but what do i get, a 15 MINUTE HOLD. I then only hung up after that due to receiving a text notifying me that my order had been picked up. I placed my order at 9:55pm, called back at 11:15 and was told the driver left a while ago. He finally shows up at 11:45 and I asked is the pizza cold. His response was he threw in a brownie. Ummm, no thank you I wont be ordering again, I want a refund. She says if she give me a refund he has to pick the pizza back up.
