Anthony Francos has been one of my go-to pizza places for years. My family is big on the specialty pizzas and by now, we've tried most of them. I don't think I've ever had a complaint about a single one. They make any pizza as a personal size- which I've enjoyed a number of times. I highly recommend the Chicken Marsala- as an entrée or pizza. The shrimp parm is another favorite of mine- as an entrée or on a sub. I like their vodka sauce- whether it be on pasta or pizza. I had first discovered Anthony Francos of Paramus several years ago, and for the past two years I have been a reoccurring customer. AF has many qualities which will draw you in, yet many qualities which will make you want to venture elsewhere. For starers, the food tastes ten times better when you dine in than when you order for delivery. The cheese pizza, as well as the specialty pies, are the two key factors which will make one want to revisit. The convenient location in heart of Paramus on Route 17, within five miles of the four major shopping malls and situated on the border of northern Bergen County, also help to make AF more desirable. The pizzeria is very kept and allows soda refills free of charge (another relief factor). With that said, the staff (unless you are a regular) can be very unyielding and very unwelcoming. I used to go to AF at least once a week, and unless you ordered a slice of pizza, they always brought your order to you. After having not dined in for two months, I was treated by the staff as if they did not know or recognize me. When my order (a cheese pizza) was ready, one of the workers slammed it on top of the counter before yelling, "pizza ready." Moreover, it's not uncommon for the staff to exhibit behavior which leads consumers to believe that they are being bothered. As many reviews have stated, one will always feel rushed to place an order upon immediately walking in. If your response is, "I am still looking at the menu," all the workers, in unison as if they were trained to do this, stare at you as if you had just made a backhanded comment. Anthony Francos of Paramus has a surplus amount of potential, but they fail to see all of the areas in which they fall short. With Mangiamo! located directly across the highway, they should be worried. After being a regular of AF for over two years, I now only order from Mangiamo! and unless I am in a rush, I rather dine in Mangiamo! I still dine in AF occasionally because I can't let go of their cheese pie - nevertheless - with the various Anthony Franco locations scattered about New Jersey, you are better off going to Anthony Francos of Ramsey than Anthony Francos of Paramus. read more

I've been to Anthony's many times in the past and went back recently after moving away to a different town. What happen to this place? It was Sunday evening(maybe it was the the Sunday shift), but the service was terrible. We ordered few pasta dishes and pizza. There was a tall young guy who served us who just couldn't care less. He just brought the dishes and not offered anything else such as plates or bread( we ordered pasta dishes and they used to serve bread with pasta dishes). I had to go up and ask for plates and got paper plates. I have to say, the visit was pretty unpleasant and I don't think I will look forward to visiting this place as much as I used to. read more

I won a gift certificat for Anthony Francos from a fun raiser in Paramus. The owner seems to be very generous in donating food for many fund raisers. I'm used to getting my pizza from kings, but I was looking forward to trying out anthony Francos. I don't remember how much the dollor value was., I think 20 or 25 dollors. I ordered over 50.00 worth of food for delivery. When I handed the driver my money, gift card, and large tip, I was told I can only use it for in house seating. Really, are you effn kidding me??? It was not a coupon it was a gift certificit. I have been pissed off for years and I have never went back. I tell everyone about my expeience, too bad the food was good, but that was a deal breaker. Appeared very disorganized. Took my order, a steak sandwich with fried onions and cherry peppers. Had to repeat it 3 times. When I got back to the hotel room it was incorrect. I thought I would give them a second chance so I called in to place a second order a few days later for delivery. I was told they had no drivers and could not deliver my order. When our local town pizza spot closed (due to a greedy landlord who is single handedly bringing down all the good local businesses) my family and I needed to find a new one. Anthony Franco's has been our pizza savior! Their menu is quite extensive and I have yet to have something that was so-so. I love their specialty pizzas, especially one with fresh mozz, tomatoes and spinach. And, the eggplant tower is fantastic. Whenever my relatives come to town we dine in - BYOB - and get a whole bunch of apps including calamari, mozzarella sticks, and garlic knots before diving into eggplant and cheese pizzas. So we all went out for pizza after the final game. The talk of the entire restaurant while having lunch was how the owner was overheard saying he wish's that teams wouldn't come into his restaurant. The owner had the nerve to yell out loud... NO MORE TEAMS EVERYONE! By the way... the team.. All Kindergartners...5yr olds.. I personally have only eaten here once and that was enough.. Excellent food any service,and was glad that a Anthony Franco was in our back yard in Paramus We also tried the one in Wayne Of the three the one in Paramus Is the most disappointing If we go there usually go Thursday night for dinner and use the waiter/waitress service At first we were delited but then things happened, for the worst long waiting time to take our order,wrong food order delivered to the table ,pasta with wrong sauce cold food waiting half a hour to get our food just a few examples Last night (May 5) the Paramus store again messed up At 6:45 placed orded by 7:20 my wife saw customers who came in after us being served there food.how long does it take to make ravioli and a Stromboli? I have been having food delivered from Franco's for at least 5 years. But, tonight was the last time. Previously I would have rated them 4 or 5. Now it is down to a 1. Ordered Chicken Parm dinner - OK; Sauteed vegetables - good; and Spaghetti with meat sauce, which taste very good, as usual, UNTIL I FOUND A LONG DARK BROWN HAIR IN THE SAUCE. None of could continue eating any of the order - total cost was $28.00, plus tip. When I called to complain they offered to re-deliver the pasta (at 9:40 pm, though we could not wait to eat at that hour). Paul offered to give me a $10.20 credit for the pasta, which I thought was not the right way to treat a customer, who could no longer trust the rest of the order. We threw it in the garbage. I had asked for a credit for the entire meal. NO, said Paul. I even offered to have him pick up the food. That was the last time we order from Franco's. Too bad, because IMHO, they have just about the best take-out pizza in the area. Franco's - you just lost a good customer, because you were too cheap and greedy to do the right thing. read more

I've been a customer here pretty much since the location opened. For several years the prices were reasonable, the food was delicious, the staff and service even better. I've been a customer less over the years as I don't live close by anymore. I got a flyer with discounts in the mail and figured I'd give it a try. I shouldn't have even bothered. I was ordering on the later side and could only do delivery and pay in cash. When I tried to explain this over the phone the staff was rude, dismissive, and acted as though they couldn't get me off the phone fast enough to even understand what I felt was a simple situation. The food was delivered hot and in a timely enough manner, yet when I paused to give the delivery man a pretty good tip considering how I had already been treated he made a nasty comment about how many quarters I gave him. When I ate the food it was just okay. Nothing tasted fresh, just overly breaded and incredibly greasy. Between the iffy food and ridiculous price I paid for terrible treatment, I won't be a patronizing AFP Paramus again. read more

This place is my favorite pizza place in the area. Service is always quick and the food is excellent. Great location right on route 17 north just past the Home Depot and Tesla. Very clean and plenty of seating. They always have about 12 to 15 different types of pizza pies out for slices. Today I had their Soup and a slice of chicken parm pizza. The food was good but the service was terrible. We ordered a chef's salad and 2 entrees. Everything came at once. We rushed the salad so we didn't really enjoy it, by the time we got to our chicken parm it was getting cold. There wasn't much room on our table so the server put our pasta on the table across from us. When we were finished our server wasn't around.
