We went here to have dinner because a very good friend highly recommended it. But we were very disappointed. First, we asked for no dressing on our salad, but it came out fully dressed. Second, gnocchi with bolognese sauce. Gnocchi was so overcooked that it had no flavor and was mushy. Also, as one can see in the picture, it looked as though someone had taken a bite or two before it was served on our table. When I brought that up to our server, he just dismissed it. Third, lobster with linguine. It was good. But the presentation should be better. I am not sure if I would go back. We came to Nanni's for our office Christmas party and I'm definitely coming back with my husband. This is an old school place. Small bar, lots of tables close together. We were in a sectioned off part of the room with tables pushed together. It gave it more of an intimate feeling which made conversation easy. The servers are very friendly and attentive. The food was classic and delicious. We had a prefix menu and everything was amazing. I forgot to take a picture of my chicken marsala, but it was cooked perfectly and the little fried mashed potato thing was incredible. We all enjoyed our drinks and desserts. I went to Nanni's recently but hadn't been there in a long time so I wanted to try it again. The day we went the air conditioning was broken so it was very warm in there, not a good start. Why didn't we leave? Because someone I was with wanted soup and they had a lot of options. We went for a weekday early dinner and when we arrived there was only 1 other table taken, so we chose a table at the opposite end to give us some privacy to talk. A few minutes later in comes a group on a business dinner and where do they sit them? Right next to us. There's dozens of empty tables yet the employee chose to sit them directly to us. Makes no sense but by that point we had ordered and didn't want to move again. We ordered a Buffalo Mozzarella appetizer special along with chicken noodle soup, manicotti, lobster and branzino for the table. The branzino was good but we weren't wowed by anything else we had and it's not cheap to eat there. The manicotti is home made and when the left over of it was heated up the next day the cheese inside was very hard. The chicken noodle soup had no flavor either. We ended up throwing out the rest of our left overs. We were really disappointed because they have a nice array of options on their menu but we didn't enjoy most of what we ordered. read more

Then there's a warm greeting as if you're a regular, an offer to take your coat (again no charge, so remember to tip), and then a guide to your table, chairs pulled out, napkins placed, and menus offered (ladies first of course). Cocktails are well made and there is a decent list of wines by the glass or by the bottle (don't understand the review that said there are only house wines; not true). The specials menu is as big as some restaurants entire menu. Combined with the regular menu, be prepared for some tough decisions. Whatever you're craving, they likely offer it. Breadsticks and bread are complimentary. Hope you came hungry! Appetizers and entrees are meant to fill you up. Even when you feel full, you'll want to keep eating because everything tastes so good. Whether you left room for dessert or not, get dessert! We've dined here a bunch of times and tried many different dishes. Brought a group of 10 there for a work dinner and was embarrassed. Service was atrocious, 2 vegetarian pastas came with chicken on them, and the waiter had the audacity to remove the chicken right there and try and serve it again, complete with chicken divit, after explicitly telling him "I cannot eat chicken." Waiter also served while taking a call. Menus where old and gross, looks like people have been using them like napkins for a decade. Went here for my brother and dad's birthday. First of all we were the youngest people by 20+ years. Second it took 20 minutes just to get menus and then when we finally placed our orders the food took another 30 min to come out. And to top it off 2 out of 6 people found hair in their food. On Christmas Day, I went to Nanni's Ristorante for dinner. I went with my family. First I waited for half and hour at the bar. Once I went to my table, the service was excellent. I took my time to read the menu and then ordered three tiny lobsters with vegetables. I ate the whole meal and it was delicious. The lobster was cooked perfectly. For dessert I had vanilla ice cream and coffee. The restaurant was beautiful. The tables were spread out and the music was quiet so I was able to talk to my family. We parked valet and it was a short walk to the entrance. This was great for me because I am handicapped. I recommend this restaurant because I had a fantastic experience. read more

This place is truly amazing! I've had my fair share of fine italian dining and this surpasses all of them. The service is always great and the waiter's are friendly and attentive. The owner and his wife are amazing too as well as their two sons who can be found there often. Just about every time I go I start with the burrata appetizer and every time it's better than I remember! I also recommend the baked clams, stuffed artichoke crab meat and mussels appetizers. For drinks this is by far my favorite place for the perfect dirty martini. And for entrees you just about can't go wrong with anything on the menu! Ok, it's a parking lot and I understand and sympathize with them having to serve out in the lot, but it didn't look like a lot of effort was put into making the tent and tables look nice. Been to a few other places and know even in a parking lot, it can be made to look nice. But I'm not taking off anything for that. Times are tough enough as it is. We started off with stuffed artichokes which were ok and seafood salad which were ok... nothing special really. For entrees, I had the Oso bucco with risotto. This was very good. Osso bucco was nice and tender, the risotto very tasty. My wife had the seafood risotto, which was (according to her) just ok. My brother in law had the Braciola with gnocchi and sister in law the Branzino with veggies... also just ok. We did enjoy their desserts (tortoni and tortufo) along with a cappuccino very much. What was also nice is the prices on the wine. I researched a couple bottles and the one we picked was marked up not even twice what I could get it for at Bottle King. That, (we thought) was pretty good considering many restaurants mark up bottles of wine 2, 3 even 4 hundred percent, which makes me nuts. So overall, we were not that impressed with Nanni's. Oh, we also had to wait for our check. We could have gotten their attention but I wanted to see how long it would take for our server to come to us. Turns out it was about 45 minutes. read more

I will presume that my review may be a singular experience due to it being Easter and staffing is still difficult for many restaurants. For the holiday we decided to take the classic car out. We arrived early and asked the valet where to park and he said "sorry valet only" which is ridiculous. Our reservation was for 1:45 and we came early, so we sat down around 1:30. We ordered appetizers and drinks and sat till 3:00 waiting to order our main courses. The owner even came up to our table and said "don't worry your food will be out soon" yet we didn't order yet! After the realization of our predicament the owner tried to be more accommodating. While ordering our mains I asked for a house red and white wine. We didn't receive them till after half way through our dinner and after asking 3 times. They were heaping glasses of wine and by now it was 4:30, we felt bad because there was a LINE OUT THE DOOR so we skipped desert and rushed out the door. On the way out we noticed that the center cap on one of the wheels was missing on the car. I am not one to accuse someone of theft but even if it was an accident there was no mention of the damage. 3 star is an honest review for this place. The food was excellent and the atmosphere is great. I know my experience can be different from others due to the predicaments but I felt I needed to share. read more
