My mom and I came in for a 4pm dinner reservation after flying in this afternoon for a business convention. We had an absolutely delicious meal and exceptional service! We shared the scallops appetizer which was out of this world fantastic! The scallops were perfectly tender and the flavor was mind blowing. We both had a salad - Cesar salad & the blue cheese salad with shrimp - both were very large and crisp/fresh tasting. For entrees we shared the Double R Ranch Signature Ribeye (super flavorful and expertly cooked to a perfect medium rare) and Garlic Roasted Scampi Prawns. The only thing we weren't wild about was the pistachio rice pilaf side. We went for the lobster special. $26.99 It was great! We started with a cup of chowder which was excellent. We shared the crab artichoke dip. We loved it. Came for anniversary dinner to try something new. First off I was super irritated when the hostess said we couldn't sit where we wanted without asking permission in an empty restaurant. We did get to sit where we wanted. Our server was amazing and recovered the mood instantly!! (Kenna) she was very helpful on suggestions with our drinks and food. Took my wife to Anthonys tonight for a milestone birthday dinner with our two friends. We have never been here before. It was fantastic. The staff was cheerful and helpful. Very professional yet warm. The interior was nicely appointed and welcoming. The food is fantastic. I don't eat seafood but she loves it so I was glad there is a menu for her seafood and also beef steaks for me. She had fresh halibut and I had the top sirloin. She said it was some of the best halibut she has had in a long time and my steak was grilled to perfection. Our friend had also the clam chowder and he remarked it was the best he has had in ages. Anthonys staff gave my wife a birthday card and dessert as a nice extra touch. You must try this wonderful establishment. read more

Lunch disappointment. Birthday celebration, 4 of us, three meals were a mess, one was good. Wife and I had shrimp and crab on toast, the TOAST was BURNED on both orders. I ordered a wedge blue cheese side salad, what I got was a chopped salad with very little blue cheese dressing. Birthday girl had the GLUTEN free burger with fry's, burger arrived without a bun? and NO fry's, said they had none? Burger was lettuce wrapped. That is NOT what the menu says. 4th meal was very good, seafood fettucine. The place was quite except for one other couple, it took forever for the meals to arrive. We will NOT go back for lunch. Anthony's consistently has delicious seafood in all of its locations- however, while it's undeniably delicious, I can't necessarily recommend the Boise location when it is as expensive as it is and locally-owned places just a block or two away offer seafood at much more affordable prices. If you specifically want the fancy restaurant vibe for a date or a business trip is paying for you, definitely check it out! Wanted some seafood and Anthony's didn't disappoint! Had the tempura green beans for the appetizer , followed by a cup of clam chowder , and then the main course! Hubby had the blackened trout, son had the halibut with a peach salsa and I had the tempura halibut. Everything was cooked perfectly and was quite tasty! We followed all that with dessert. Cheese cake special, peach cobbler (that was an amazing biscuit) with stellas vanilla ice cream on top and hubby had the ice cream. I meant to take pics but was to excited every time they brought something out that I was totally sidetracked ! Did I complement the service? Our server was absolutely attentive and amazing! We had a really good meal here. Starting with their roasted pear martini. Delicious. I had the seafood fettuccini which was perfect. Perfectly portioned, nice selection of seafood. Hubs had the cioppino, which he was much less enthusiastic about. Big chunks of crab which were hard to eat because they had to be cracked, the broth was a bit bland. Kind of pricy for what you got. We had a nice wine pairing of wine which was perfect. The wait staff was spot on, helpful and nice. We had a less than stellar experience earlier. I emailed the manager and he gifted us with 2 entrees and was gracious when I had him called over to thank him. Prepare to spend a bit of cash when eating here, but overall it was worth it. It wasn't the servers fault the 15y/o hostess sat 6 tables all at the same time but unfortunately it made service a bit frantic. My champagne glass came out sopping wet and later a beer was forgotten. The menu is odd in that there is no vegetable appetizer to choose from and the crab dish that cost $50 is Dungeness crab. A place like this should have king crab or similar. The menu descriptions also hide the actual item a bit - for example the Anthony's cheese cake is salted caramel and wow was it salty. The burnt creme is creme brûlée without fruit. Maybe I should have paid closer attention but I was trying to have dinner with my loved one not decode a hidden menu. For the price of $250 after tip for dinner for 2, we will be going somewhere with a more creative and we'll rounded menu like chandlers or the lively. read more

Looking for a restaurant we haven't tried before, especially since they were all full for Valentine's Day, we decided to give Anthony's and try. Parking was easy as you park underneath the jump center and take the elevator straight up and they validate parking. Started out with the Bud's agi stack, it was just ok, literally came with four chips, not even half what was needed and we did not see the waitress in time to even ask for a couple more, Did not impress me too much for the price. My main entrée was the bread and soul, really just a very thin piece of breaded fish, a bit soggy with very little of the special sauce on top. My wife got the roasted scampi prawns and she too said the mail was just so so and the prawns were dried out. Did see a couple cooks in the back toasting shots together so maybe that affected the food that night. Our waitress was very nice although it took forever to see her between trips to the table and it was not that busy. Overall a two hour experience, not too impressed may give it another try but probably not. read more

The service was ridiculously slow. Took15 minutes of waiting to place drink order, 20 minutes before our wine arrived and additional 10 for our daughter's lemonade. The wait was about 30 minutes between each course and entrees even came out at separate times. For a "nicer" seafood restraunt the food was terrible you could tell it was a heat and serve prepared. For the $50.00 average entree this was on the level of Red Lobster. Save your money there are many amazing local restaurants in Downtown Boise to experience. read more

Mediocre food, service a step down from there. We ordered several apps. Mussels and calamari had no flavor. Ahi stack & crab dip were the best items of the whole meal. The filet Oscar, was the worst I have had. My husband had the blacked cod and it was meh. As far as service the buss boy was overly attentive (grabbing plates before we were done)and the waitress was under attentive. We all were brought drinks immediately with the exception of our small child and she didn't come around forever to ask if he needed something. She never brought the bread and butter, although it was asked for. It was even my birthday which was mentioned several times and no birthday desert. Covid-safe! All of the staff were incredibly friendly--especially our server, Tristen. Not only was she friendly, but she was also prompt and checked on us frequently without being overly attentive. She really made our experience. We had a reservation (highly recommend) and we were seated right away. We didn't wait for food or anything while we were there. The food was quite good, especially the clam chowder! The dressing on the Cobb seafood said doesn't go too well with the other ingredients, but the crab was super fresh, so that made up for it. My only complaint was that the music didn't go with the overall ambiance. They could use something a tad classier. Overall, great experience, good food, and fantastic wait staff. Hawaiian ahi nachos were next for an appetizer, and they were so good I could have ordered two or three and had them for dinner. Excellent if you like sesame oil. We also tried both oysters on the half shell and they were great. For dinner, I tried the rainbow trout with bacon and leeks, and it was an excellent flavor. It came with broccoli, which was cooked perfect. Rice pilaf was also very good. Most dishes came with rice pilaf; I would have preferred a little more selection like roasted or mashed potatoes, but the pilaf was great and paired well with the fish. We tried the clam chowder, and again very good. My husband had the scampi prawns, also good. He was hoping for a surf and turf option, but he did enjoy his food. I don't normally get dessert out, but did because they had melting chocolate cake. This one was absolutely delicious. Overall great meal and experience, we will definitely be back. It isn't as fancy as Chandlers, but a nice step down without being too casual. My only gripe is that I accidentally left my leftovers at the table! read more

To start, Anthony's has good food. My problem was the wait staff. To start a very nice person. This is a upper end restaurant. Great location, nice interior. But the waitress came up to the table with a large food stained shirt, all on one side. Not an appealing site to start. We had our meal, most was good the Caesar salad had brown around the ends, not good. Our waitress came back to collect the dishes. I don't know if she didn't want to take a second trip. It was my son's 18th birthday wish to dine here, probably because he fondly remembered our meals at the Anthony's in the tri cities with his grandma. I actually was excited to go, too and had built up quite a bit of anticipation, having driven by the restaurant many times and wondered at the external facade which was elegant and stylish. The decor was excellent with lots of wood and perfect lighting and ambiance was buzzy without being loud. Then the problems started. Drinks took a long time and for some reason my son's sprite was the last drink we got... it turned out to be club soda. No biggie they must have just pushed the wrong button, my son knows one of the bus staff and he replaced it relatively quickly. As we waited with empty glasses I archly told my wife we should have ordered appetizers when we'd had the chance. Another drink and order... the wait wasn't too bad but calamari were insubstantial, a little heavily spiced, and not hot out of the kitchen. My oysters looked suspiciously like kushi even though I'd ordered the larger sweeter breed but hey-- I'm no expert and they were good anyway. My wife's chowder benefited from some Tabasco and her Caesar salad was acceptable. We saw that other tables had gotten bread and I wondered why we hadn't gotten any but then it arrived maybe an hour into our wait and was nice warm sourdough with crunchy crust and generous portions. The problem was that we waited a long time for our entrees. Reservation was at 7, we ordered at 7:15, entrees out at 8:45. At that point we'd seen a couple leave without being served, another pair of ladies walk in and get served 20min later, and a private room of 8 wait about as long as we had (or longer-- they were well into wine when we got there). Any sense of anticipation was gone after getting filled up by another order of bread while waiting but my steak and crab cake was good-- fries crunchy and hot, crab cake a little fibrous but almost all crab. My vegetables had been indifferently cooked-- clearly raw with a bit of sear on them-- and my son had the same criticism. He also really didn't like his salmon which admittedly looked undercooked and under seasoned. What really got me was that one of the ?managerial or bar staff who was helping serve (by the end the cooks were even serving) KNEW it was my son's birthday and we still waited while another table got served so quickly. When my son chose to complain he admittedly was a little harsh but not wrong and the waitress offered to refire the salmon but then interrupted him with the same question while he was talking. It was clear she was exasperated so we did talk to the manager. Listen, I'm not a big complainer and I was actually happy with my protein (I did eat all my steak), so I would have paid for part of the check but the manager was really nice and put the whole meal on the house with a free meal ticket to come back. That cleared it up but I felt that I should have paid just a little to show that the criticism was in earnest and not just hunting for a free meal. The manager offered us dessert but we did decline, I guess. In the end I think they must have had staffing issues in the kitchen and waitstaff or a really bad communication system. Anthony's is a beautiful restaurant and has potential to be a pretty good seafood restaurant. I hope they can turn it around because I'd like to go back and see it doing better. Oh, and one more thing. They had a special lobster menu so my wife ordered the lobster fettuccine. They didn't have it-- no biggie, this kind of thing happens all the time-- but the waitress didn't tell us until we'd been waiting for over an hour! I don't think there's an excuse for that and my wife decided just not to have anything. That was a bummer too. read more

Wonderful new restaurant. We wanted to try this place and were excited to get in on valentines weekend. We were greeted at the entry by the manager. Our table was not ready so we decided to sit at the Bar and have a cocktail while we waited. The bar tender was very friendly and the ladies drinks were very good but I had an old fashion with my friend (our go to drink) and it was so so. We were seated and informed the server that one person in our party had some dietary restrictions. They accommodated our requests and the appetizers and main course was wonderful. We had the Rock Cod special and fish and chips. Fish and chips was one of my top 3 for sure. We will be back fit sure. Great service and great good! The parking is located below the restaurant and it was very convenient and easy to find, there were people directing where to go. My boyfriend and I went for our anniversary and it was such a great experience. Our server, who was so amazing but I can't remember his name to save our life, was very attentive and working hard to have such an amazing time whilst being slammed with tables. We got the Dungeness Crab, Shrimp, and artichoke dip to share as an appetizer. It was soooo good. We also had a glass of red wine which was delightful. We got the Caesar salad as well which we didn't really care for. For our entrees, I got the Seafood Fettuccine and my boyfriend got the Snake River Farms Wagyu Top Sirloin, both were fire. We ended up taking the rest home and eating it for leftovers. We got the Rhubarb Cheesecake as dessert to go because we were so full. I will mention that it was a bit chaotic and the seating was close together in the area that we sat in. My boyfriend made the reservation a while in advance and the table placement wasn't very impressive. Beside that, it was a wonderful time and I can't wait to go back to try something new. read more

For a long time I cherished Anthony's.....in the Tri Cities. Now here comes Anthony's to Boise and what a disappointment. We spent about $100 for Cioppino for me and Oysters for my wife with salad and appetizers. I had one beer. The Cioppino was literally so awful I could not eat it. that is a first. I love Cioppino but Anthony's does not know how to make the sauce, like a lot of restaurants. Oysters were not too bad but not sure what my wife meant. The salads were blah, the bread was fresh but nothing that stands out for a higher end restaurant. I mean a restaurant the serves Copper River Salmon for $44 should have equally good sides? BTW our mussels appetizer were nothing to write home about, about as ordinary as any restaurant. Here is what is good, fresh fish. Anthony's has excellent fresh fish but should a restaurant like this have similar veggies, bread or salad too? Sadly, we see no reason to return to Anthony's. read more

Salad came with the meal (I made it clear I wanted it prior to). We were celebrating a 50th birthday and let the server know and nothing. Had to ask for bread on 3 different occasions and was told it was "in the oven". Finally came at the end of our meal . I will say the tempura asparagus was fantastic and the drinks were good. Stopped in for dinner with friends. The beer on tap was tasty so we had several. They were pushing the crab cakes hard, but you could purchase two entire dungenous crab for the price. Most of the selections are deep fried which we usually try to avoid...where are the steamed, broiled, grilled options ? They claim everything is fresh, but the deep fry oil certainly was not. Strong oder and tastes from multiple uses easily detected ... Ordered Halibut /Cod fish and chips, and the Walleye which came with decent fries. it was nothing special to write about however. Nice looking interior and underground parking was convenient. However the staff jammed everyone into one corner for some reason, so we had to deal with coughing/hacking of customers seated just 3 ft away. Won't be back as $315 price tag for 4 people simply was not justified. Just telling it like we experienced it. read more
