We circled the Bryson City area for quite a while before settling on Anthony's. ...many places are closed on Sunday. Parking and entering the restaurant was easy, which was a plus because we have small children. We were seated quickly and drink service was prompt. The menu is pretty standard and what you'd expect. Pizza and the like, burgers, sandwiches, salads, etc. We got burgers and sandwiches. While waiting, drinks got empty for a bit. Food arrived just around the time the kids were getting restless. My cheddar bacon w/ jalapeños burger was awesome. Everyone else got cheesesteaks and they all loved them - which is an easy item to fall short on. Service was prompt, food was good, price a bit high but basically worth it. We'll be back. read more

Ordered takeout last night at Anthony's. Pizza was mediocre, but fine- have had better there before. Antipasto salad was good, but lacking in ingredients. Several pieces of old lettuce. Unfortunately the garlic rolls were the worst part of the meal. They are garlic knots, but had no oil or true garlic flavor. They were completely flavorless, hard as rocks and the marinara sauce was terrible. read more

Difficult to review .. While the food was good, the service was terrible .. Arrived about 3:00 PM and was told there would be a short wait, which was totally acceptable .. While my buddy waited in the lobby I ran over to the bar to get 2 beers .. Returned and as we waited to get called for a table noticed that others who arrived after us were getting seated .. When we finally asked we were told that they had taken our name off the list because they saw me leave, even after I asked them where the bar was .. After apologies we were quickly seated and then had to wait another 20 minutes before our water finally came over, even though he paid multiple visits to several other tables .. He takes our order and delivered our salads quickly, but completely forgot about the calamari appetizer we ordered .. When the food did arrive it was very good, but the poor service ruined the visit .. Don't live in the area and we were only passing thru town on a motorcycle ride, but will probably check out someplace else if we come back read more

If I could give 0 stars I would RUN AWAY!!! One of the worst and most bizarre dining experiences--- EVER! Truly a tourist trap. Survives only on tourists and the fact that it's open past 8 pm. Our group of 8 was promised a 20 minute wait. That turned into 90 minutes only after we continues to push the servers. They have no idea how to manage tables. We watched plenty of tables that would have worked fine for us passed on to other parties. I cannot begin to detail the issues we had with this dinner but they ranged from our waiters complete inability to understand out to split the check three ways from the start, bringing us food when we had no silverware or plates and after to bringing it to his attention he took another tables order instead of fetching us silverware for our salads and plates for our pizzas. Food was not bad but the management and service of this restaurant is bottom of the barrel The final indignity was when he bought one of our party his change and the coins fell on the floor and he made no attempt to pick it up, just a huffy you have a good night. Atmosphere could be enjoyable with exception of the motorcycle and train noise Food not so good at all, we had the calamari for an appetizer and we should have stopped there but we also ordered a veggie burger with cheese and a bacon and cheese burger...big mistake! Beef burger was gritty and tasteless ,wasn't asked what temp I would like the burger so it came out well done with a piece of lettuce, one onion slice and no imagination! We are from Florida, we're starving after white water rafting all day. We had 14 people, and even though they were super busy, got us seated within 5 minutes. They were so accommodating. Our server, Maddy was AMAZING!! She was sweet and so patient with 4 adults and 10 kids that were starving and needed constant refills. The food was cooked perfectly. We got several apps, calamari, spinach dip, mozzarella sticks- all great. And the meals were perfect. Pizzas, pastas and burgers were all great! I never write reviews because I just don't think about it, but I had to compliment Maddy or server the most! If you go to Anthony's, ask for Maddy- she was awesome! read more

I've been here a handful of times. Food is okay but the service has been awful every single time. We were waited on by a young man who forgot about us every time we visited. Today we came by, and it was very busy. We went where the signs told us, were never greeted and people just pushed past us in line like we had already been put on the list but we hadn't. When I stopped the host April to ask what we needed to do to be on the list she completely snapped on me telling me the laundry list she had to do and that I needed to be patient when I had been there for 30 minutes without having a word said to me. Pretty standard pizza joint in Bryson City. Not good, not bad, but definitely average. It kind of looks like a hole in the wall inside and the place seems a bit disorganized. They were slammed over July 4th weekend with no host and people not sure how to get a table. The wait staff did the best they could, however, despite being overwhelmed. This place was pretty good for a small town mountain restaurant. Beer by the pitcher... granted they were out of the beer we wanted so we went to singles. But pretty cheap on the beer side. Food was pretty good - we both got pasta dishes and after a day of mountain biking, we wanted all the carbs in the world. We were pleased with our dishes. Table next to us got a pizza and it looked kinda burny but nothing I would complain about. Service wasn't 5 star or anything but its a well priced, italian place in a small mountain community - our server was knowledgeable and friendly! It looked very busy on the nights we were there, not sure I'd wait for a long time for it but we went midday after a ride and it was just what we wanted. Enjoy. read more

I've seen some negative reviews of this place, but I didn't have that experience at all. I ordered a pizza which came out promptly and was absolutely delicious. The crust was crispy and well-cooked, the toppings were fresh, and my wife's wings were cooked to perfection: tender, moist, and well-flavored. This isn't fine dining. It's greasy, wonderful food, and it delivers on that. They also have some more than decent beers on tap, too. read more

As for the pizza (take out) we were frequent customers for many enjoyable years then last year the product became inconsistent, found out later it was under new ownership. It seems the owner or/ manager are not very good at their job. Last nights pizza was black on the bottom & over cooked. While waiting at the take out window I could seem the cook was twirling raw dough and throwing it in the air as they do but this guy didn't catch it, it landed on the floor and was picked up and things carried on as if nothing happened. Not the sort of actions of staff in any restaurant I care to eat in. We gave them the benefit of the doubt the last three recent visits. It will be a long while before we return. read more

This place made me open a Yelp account just to review them. Went to Anthony's with a large group. The waitress brought one check, stated she wasn't able to split the checks and had an "oh well" attitude. We eventually argued, had to go to the cash register where she broke down each order....wouldn't it have been simpler to do this at the beginning? From beginning to end, very poor customer service. Where to begin.... Incredible food AND service!!!! Autumn was our waitress the past few times, and I would highly recommend her! I even waited an extra few minutes to get her last time , and I so glad I did! The chicken parm, antipasta salad, and burgers are just incredible. Went Sunday on the way back from Jeep invasion in TN. Ordered wings and poppers and burgers. As we bite in to the wing my wife notices that it was raw and dripping blood. We have had previously had good experiences at this location so we stayed to get rest of food which was ok. When we showed the waitress the wings and them being raw she informed us that this is common and happens all the time. As we return from our trip I have a very extreme experience of food poisoning resulting in loss of work. Please be cautious if ordering wings. read more

After about 15 minutes we finally got a waitress to notice us at our table. We were frustrated and only ordered waters, a beer and two appetizers. The apps were undercooked. We ate quickly and left. read more

We had a great server, she was polite, prompt, attentive and very friendly. The food was very good, my family had a great experience.

Do yourself a favor keep walking, look elsewhere . The reason for one star is that we seated, after that don't ask!

This is the place i would go to if i am ever in the area. The food is quite nice and the service is great. We tried a few different things and they were all above average. The main reason for not giving 4-star is the lack of good cheese based sauce other than the alfredo sauce. read more

We had to wait for an hour for our food. In a party of 4 the waitress brought 3 meals and it was almost 12 minutes later before the last meal was served. The waitress met us with a face mask on as required but as the wait continued, she took the mask off her face and continued to serve us. Walked into this establishment and waited about 12-15 min. to be greeted by the hostess. Once seated, a server came by and took our drink order and we began to review the menu. After deciding and ordering with our server we were told garlic knots would be brought to the table since we ordered a couple of wings for appetizers.. we did not receive said garlic knots till some of our food started to hit the table. The burgers, dry. The wings, dry. The pizza, no flavor. (reminded me of cafeteria pizza from school) no drinks were refilled.. and to top it off one of us from the group of 8 did not receive their meal till the very end when the rest of us were all finished.
