Beautiful view! The restaurant is a little dated but the food is delicious. I had the seasonal rhubarb strawberry lemonade and it was really tasty. The sourdough bread the accompanies the meal is warm and crusty, and I like how you can choose between a few starter salads with your meal. I had one with a dill dressing and bacon and it was great. For my main course I had the copper river salmon. It was pretty good, and the beurre blanc sauce was not too overpowering. Overall, I enjoy coming to this place. I have no qualms about spending money for great food, but I feel like for the quality of food and the ambience that the menu is slightly overpriced. That is why I have only ever come here if someone else is picking up the tab. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. My husband and I use to love this place especially their happy hour. Yesterday we came for happy hour the appetizer went up to $8 it use to be $5. The portions got smaller, and the whole time I was eating I had to kill fruit flies or swat them away. It kept landing on my face, on my food, and on my fork. I just wanted to have a nice meal without having to kill fruit flies while I ate. My husband kept saying "it's not the resturants fault" I honestly think it is. Here on business from California and came here off of a recommendation. Was craving some seafood and ordered the salmon. Very disappointed to find out it was flash frozen and not fresh but gave it a try anyways. As suspected it was horrible. It was so firm I had to use a knife to cut it. My side of potatoes and rice was cold. Flavor was bland. Business associate ordered the cod and said it was just as bad. We had a bad experience at another Seafood place the day before and so decided since it was 80 degrees outside, it would be nice to do an outdoor brunch at Anthony's in Edmonds. I live in Seattle and have always gone to the Anthony's there and it has always been great, but this one did not meet that standard. We got there and all that was available was brunch, which was totally fine, just wanted to point that out for a later comment about how long it took. First, there was only 1 other table of people seated on the deck, so want to be clear it wasn't slammed. The waitress even made a comment about hoping it picked up soon. It took 50 minutes for us to get our meal, 50 minutes. We both got the crab eggs benedict, so how exactly can it take that long to make eggs benedict? Then when it finally came our eggs were not lightly poached (per the menu), they were hard boiled. Which lead me to believe, they probably sat under a heat lamp or they are premaking all the brunch menu items way too far in advance and storing them somewhere so they are over cooking the eggs. So, I pretty much paid about $25 for 2 cold english muffins, one hard boiled egg and about a tablespoon of sauce and a small crabcake... that all took almost an hour to get. Maybe it's just the brunch that is a disaster here, but I won't be coming back just in case. I will stick to the Anthony's in Seattle where I have had good experiences. read more

We went to the Edmonds Anthony's scouting for a venue for an upcoming family party Friday 2/20/14 ~ 6 pm. Neither of us had been to any of the Anthony's in years but we did have fond memories of past visits. Sometimes it's best to hold onto those memories. First off was the decor which seems to be stuck in the 80's. Maybe they are hoping if they hold out long enough it'll be considered retro or come back in style. We looked around the dining room and checked out the menu, then decided to eat in the bar which only had a table of party of 4 on a back table. The waiter came over within minutes to provide menus and we ordered drinks and food & while we were waiting for them the party of 4 left. I only mention this as for the rest of our time at Anthony's (~ 40 min.) the tables were not cleared. While we waited for dinner we took notice of the music. 1970's & 80's ballads. Carly Simon, John Denver. (I was having Jr. high flashbacks.) I guess this ties in with the decor and the demographic they are targeting. Either way during a normal Friday night happy hour the bar was dead. Our food arrived and was a disappointment. My fish & chips were bland and soggy. Cam liked the flavor of her chowder in the bread bowl but it was tepid at best and the Caesar salad was soggy from the dressing. So to summarize. Great view, good service, retro (dull) atmosphere & music, bland food, high prices. I hope the dining room is better than the bar. After discussing our experience with others we were told that Anthony's Beach Cafe is the preferred Edmonds Anthony's to go to. read more

The service here was wonderful. The prices were a little expensive, but it was worth the calm and pleasant view, the taste of the food, and the SUPERB service. Their alcoholic drinks are not poorly priced, pretty typical prices for the "nicer" resturaunts out there. I came here for my graduation with my family and we enjoyed ourselves here. And if you want some GREAT FLAVORED TASTING food of the sea, that even looks as good as it tastes, then COME HERE. Plan to spend more then your usual dine out, but it's worth every penny. I love this place. I've been here a handful of times over the years and it holds a special place in my heart! Boyfriend and I had dinner here on Friday (just for the hellofit) but we've been here for birthdays, anniversaries, and graduation celebration dinners, too. The view was gorgeous and we didn't have to wait more than a couple of minutes for a table. We watched the sun go down from our table and I had a hard time focusing on the menu because I was so distracted by view of the skies and water beyond the marina. We ordered calimari to start (Boyfriend thought it should be crispier, I thought it was just right) but the appetizer was so big that between the 2 of us we didn't finish it. Next was salads, and we both had that spinach salad with peaches, raspberries, and blue cheese. YUM YUM YUM!! For dinner, Boyfriend had coconut prawns and steak and I ordered that Dungeness Crab Fettuccine...and for the first time in my life I had to send my meal back. I'm pretty sure there were all of two pieces of crab in the whole dish and the butter & garlic sauce tasted like a stick of butter had been melted on top. I couldn't eat it. Our waiter, Demitri, was BEYOND gracious and accommodating and had another dish prepared for me with my "concerns" in mind. He told me that Jared prepared the second dish and it was PERFECT. Soo good. I was pretty full but I ate a portion of it and took the rest home (and had it for breakfast, lunch, and dinner the next day...what does that say about portion sizes?!) Boyfriend thought his steak was too tough, but didn't say anything because he didn't want to be a jerk =/ (he still devoured it, though). Later, Melissa (manager?) came out to make sure we were enjoying our meal and also comped use our dessert (Peach Slump...to die for). We've been here over the years a number of times and previously it was much better. But tonight dinner was disappointing and it's doubtful we'll return. There are a lot of wonderful restaurants in the Edmonds area that are superior. We started with Caesar salads. It seemed they had been put onto just-washed warm plates, as the salads were warm and getting limp. I had the Silver Salmon with Peach Salsa. It was served on rice and accompanied by green beans. EVERYTHING on the plate was covered with a copious amount of "butter" sauce. It was terrible, tasting like my dinner was coated in "movie popcorn" flavor - this "butter" MUST be enhanced with some sort of fake flavoring. The fish was very thin and very dry. I was hoping for a nice moist salmon filet, breaking apart when my fork touched it. Instead it was something you'd most likely experience at a school charity dinner, when the kids helped cook and the cost was kept low. My husband had the steak and coconut prawns. The steak was tough (and they forgot the steak knife) and the flavor was "ok". Not really restaurant quality. We both agreed that the food was very mediocre. The wait staff is pretty good. This is why I gave 2 stars rather than one star. Yes the view is nice - I guess this is why folks come ... or else they come because they don't know better. read more

I've only had dinner here once and that wasn't very memorable because the Mr got pulled over on the way to celebrating our 10 year dating anniversary(yes we still do that, being married). It really ruined the mood for the whole evening despite our window seat, and candle light ambiance. I will say their Happy Hours are the best!!!!! My favorite here! Drink choices are plenty and delicious. They do not skimp on liquor, how do I know, you ask? Why I watched them pour it of course! My favorite nibbles are their calamari, and clams! Yum! This was my most enjoyable restaurant I've gone during my week stay in the Pacific Northwest. They had happy hour with drinks, appetizer and sunset dinner menu. I was rewarded for coming in early! Unfortunately, the price point does not line up with service, quality, or creativity (the mashed potatoes tasted like they came from a box). The food is plated very well; however, the quality of food for the amount that you're paying was extremely disappointing. Shrimp cocktail tasted like canned shrimp... Terrible food. Went to Anthony's this morning with my boyfriend and another couple for Valentines Day breakfast. The bartender was a very nice young man who treated us very well. We were enjoying some mimosas and bloody Mary's with our fruit platter and coffee cake, having a great time until we received our meals. To start, the potatoes were extremely hard, and the bacon was very low quality. The prices were very high for these breakfasts which confused me due to the low quality of food and such small portions. I will not be returning to this Anthony's nor will the people I came with. We were very disappointed with all of our meals but thankfully the bartenders service kept us somewhat pleased which is why I give two stars. read more

This is a review for the Beach Cafe. Personally, ive never been up to anthonys upstairs because they arent open for lunch, which is typically when i would come to the beach. They have delicious food here, from big juicy burgers, to salmon ponzu, everything is fresh and tasty, and they serve you endless amounts of bread. I have tried a lot of different dishes here and they are all tasty. It is a little louud and a lot more casual than the fine dining upstairs, but the food quality never suffers. read more

Everytime we come here we seem to get the same older guy as our server. i dont know if its because we look younger or what but every time he just gives us terrible service and we watch him give others great service from our table. Its like he wants to avoid us all together, the sad part is we eat Anthonys almost every week. This location has a nice view but why would we want to go back and spend a good $100 if the service is just awful? Fine dining isnt just about the food quality. We went to the main restaurant (upstairs) for a special occasion. It was great. No complaints. We had crab cakes, which might be the best I ever had. I had swordfish, which I loved the corn relish on top, and he had a surf and turf special. We also had some huckleberry thing which was only bad because I was too full to finish it. The view was great, which the marina and ferries. The dinning area was beautiful. Our service was good as well. Truly, no complaints. It was just enjoyable. It is definitely pricey. But, I felt worth the price. We decided to go here over Arnie's because friends told us Arnie's was "old folky" and they much prefer Anthony's because of their food too. 4 stars for the view (we were seated at a window). 3 stars for food. We arrived early for the $19.95 early bird specials which really are an amazing deal. I really wanted the King Salmon for $34.95 entree price, but the Silver Salmon was one of the options included in the Early Bird. And , it was okay, but a bit dry. Plus, I was kind of full after the appetizer and salad that comes before the main course. I think they needed a bit of sauce or glaze to dress it up. Also, the steamed asparagus had nothing on it. I asked for plain mayo which I often use on my veggies, but all they had was onion mayo. Dessert was nice: a chocolate mousse. My husband had the oysters with a burnt cream dessert. It is a lot of food included in the $19.95 so come hungry. Service was very good. I would come back here gain, but will wait until summer. read more

She put me on hold for almost three minutes and then said I had to call in advanced (this was 2 months in advanced). It seemed like she just did not want to help me and did not even ask for my name or party size. Sad. Made reservations for 6:30p dinner upstairs on a weekend and they run out of king salmon. All plates that came with veggies were the same...7 mini pieces of bland asparagus. Mashed potatoes were more like whipped potatoes...barely kept their shape for how mushy they were. And all this for around 40 a plate. Never going here again. There are so many excellent eateries to choose from in Edmonds. They only stay open because they're on the water and appear swanky but the food was very bland. They won't last. read more

Took my family to Anthony's to celebrate my son's 18th Birthday and he was accepted to attend CWU Fall 2015. Our waitperson was Kristina and she was amazing. Everyone in our group of 7 kept raving about her customer service and great attitude. In fact, I made an effort to comment on what a star she is to the Manager on our way out of the restaurant. Let's move on to the quality of the food. One of my daughters ordered the Tempura Prawns but unfortunately, they came to our table with the shells still on them. Not very tasty to bite into a tempura prawn with all of the shell still attached! Kristina immediately took the plate back and returned with shelled tempura prawns. The restaurant did not charge me for that plate which was very nice of them. Over all I recommend Anthony's Edmonds and be sure to request Kristina for your server. read more

Love this restaurant. Every time we are in town this is one of our routine stops. Out of all the locations the one in Edmonds is the best. Best view, best atmosphere, and best staff. With your breakfast entree you get unlimited warm soft melty blueberry coffeecake, fresh in season fruit and a gorgeous view! I get a mimosa to make it luxurious for a day. We have been here many times for dinner and the Happy Hour, and think it is a good place to eat with a great view. Tonight however it could have been better. The food was fine, not great, but OK. But the waiter seemed eager for us to order, even though we were enjoying the view over drinks. And second, I wanted a Manhattan, and he suggested one with top of the line Makers Mark, saying it was only a dollar more tha the House bourbon. When the bill came, the manhattans were $12.50. So two points, don't let the waiters here rush you, and be sure they have done their math on the higher end drinks. read more

We were seated & then completely forgotten. The hostess gave us menus & water person gave us waters immediately, but then 10+ minutes passed & we had not seen or heard from our waitress/waiter, even though the tables around us were being taken care of multiple times. My husband decided to go to the front to inquire & they said they'd take care of it. A few minutes later, someone came over & apologized & offered us free appetizers & took our orders, and then told us they would bring bread for us right away. It was at least 5+ more minutes before we got bread. Our waitress then switched with someone else & then we got our appetizers & then later our entrees. In the meantime our waters were empty & plates were piled next to us on our table. Our appetizers were nice. My salad was good & my husband's clam chowder was amazing. Our entrees were good, but not amazing & def not worth their cost. My fish & chips were soggy, and my husband thought pub food tasted better than his steak. Overall, we had an unhappy experience & the food was okay. Def will not return & would not consider this a "fine dining" experience. read more

So my boyfriend and I decided to try someplace we had never been last night and decided the Edmonds waterfront would be nice. Well, I was very disappointed. For what we paid on dinner I would expect at least one out of three things. (1) We have leftovers, any at all. (2) The food be AMAZING, like nothing I've ever had before. (3) The service be super friendly and nice to make up for the so-so food. Weel, let me tell you... None of those things happened. The food was in tiny portions, very expensive for the little, unremarkable food that we got. The service was the worst part though. I said "thank you" to our server for filling up my water. What did I get? A grunt! A grunt when I am paying $30 for my meal alone is unacceptable. At least smile or say your welcome or no problem or SOMETHING, anything. I mean, come on now. Anyways, the short version of that is that the food and service were not worth the price. The only thing that kept it from one star is that I like the waterfront. read more

It was a lovely, warm night and my friend and I decided at the last minute to go out to dinner on the waterfront. We chose Anthony's (the upstairs part) because we wanted a view, hadn't been there in a while, and had always had a good experience in the past. Because we did not have reservations we were told we would have to wait about 10-20 minutes. After waiting almost 30 minutes, we were finally seated at a table that was set for 6. We suspected that this table had been sitting vacant for some time in the hope that a larger party would show up. Our server showed up and seemed overworked and ill at ease. We placed our order, which included two salads. When he showed up with our salads, he realized my salad was not the one that I ordered so he took it back. About 15 minutes later, we grabbed him and reminded him about the salad. He went to check and informed us that another server had taken the salad and was being "screamed" at by the management. My salad finally came about 10 minutes later. In the meantime, we were "entertained" by watching staff and managers set up for a large party in front of us, shouting directions and commands to each other over the tops of their guests. Not the most relaxing environments for a romantic dinner. No offer was made to reduce the bill for the late salad. On my way out, I visited the ladies room and it was a mess. No toilet paper and the garbage filled to overflowing. I informed the three hostesses chit chatting at the front desk of the situation. It was a Saturday night and the place was slammed and so not a good night to show up without a reservation. However, given the many dining choices we have in this area, I don't think I'll be going back. I had the steamed crab, and while good, I could have had a far less expensive and certainly more relaxing experience going to Central Market and buying pre-cooked crab and dining at home. I would urge the upper management of Anthony's to visit their own restaurant on a busy night as a guest and observe the atmosphere. While your view is pretty, your vibes are not. read more

Very disappointed at our last visit here (4/17/15). One thing we always order regardless of the restaurant is calimari. The menu read: Crispy calimari. Not. Not crispy plus it had an odd and very different taste. Strike one. Next my prawns tempura. Very greasy and not at all tempura-like. My husbands cod was decent but very bland and nothing to write home about. Again very disappointed and I doubt that we will be back. read more

took a date here on friday afternoon for the sunset special. the service was pretty good, we got over looked because of our age and what we were wearing, should that be expected at a place like this?? my meal the blackened rock fish was good but i wasn't a fan of the wild rice. and my date got the coho/bay shrimp entree the salmon was amazingly flavorless but cooked perfectly. all in all it was a good meal for $20 a piece, but i was def not impressed enough to ever go back and pay full menu price for what i got. read more
