This place has been around as long as I can remember. They have great seafood selection here just not as fancy as up top the Home Port. Usually when I am here I order their Mahi mahi taco's or the fish and chips. They also have a delectable Seafood Chop chop! My only discrepancy on the Beach Cafe is the set up of the restaurant it is big and open and quite loud. Not a very intimate setting, and not really that great for large groups either because you have to scream if you want someone to hear you. read more

Slow service. Very slow. It took us 30 minutes just to sit down and another 15 to get some bread, which was stale tasting anyways. We got our food in at least an hour. The food was mediocre tasting but, they did not clean my shrimp well. One of them had some shrimp poop on it. (I own a fish tank so I know what a shrimp's turd looks like thank you very much.) The kid's play area smelled strongly of dead fish. It was very gross to walk by and it wasn't even hot and sunny. Including dessert and our bill waiting was at least a hour. The cost wasn't bad for 5 people around 80$ is good for seafood but, I am not saying it was a good value because of the waiting and the yucky shrimp. read more

There is Anthony's Homeport and Anthony's Beach Cafe both situated on the Edmonds Waterfront by the park. I haven't been to Anthony's in YEARS because (IMO) they just can't hold a candle to Arnie's for the following reasons a) ambiance b) food c) customer service d) view. (in no particular order) I will say that most "Yelpers" reviews of Anthony's are RIGHT on...dirty, outdated decor, unsavory meals and poor customer service. On a more positive note, Anthony's Beach Cafe is FABULOUS! I As others have mentioned it is VERY noisy almost any time you go, so if you are looking for a quiet, intimate setting...pass on this establishment. During the summer months (or should I say when Seattle see's temps over 78 degrees) do yourself a favor and enjoy the outside seating. When it gets cooler in the evenings there are heat lamps and blankets...but of course a glass or two of vino will warm you RIGHT up! ;0) I have been enjoying the likes of the Beach Cafe since the mid 80's when it opened. My ALL time favorite is the Almond Chicken Salad...its seriously SO delicious! Then they serve that wonderful foccacia bread...oh LORD...don't even think about dining here if you have a weakness for carbs! They also have really great chowder...as well as other seafood specialties. Aside from the salad, the alder planked salmon is delicious! Really, there isn't anything on their menu that isn't mouthwatering and delightful! And in case I haven't emphasized enough...the outdoor dining experience is really a lot of fun! There truly isn't a better way to spend a summer day than on the patio of the Beach Cafe. (Hey! I like this place. Their food is very good most of the time. I had a little trouble communicating with the bar staff about the difference between checking on an order that was running slow and putting in a second order, but they took care of it. Lobster was not awesome however, and market price of 40+ bucks for a lobster tail that was not very enhanced over the flavor you can get at home was not very good for a value. For lobster, you're better off at Red Lobster or a decent steak house. The Mahi Mahi with macadamias on the other hand was outstanding and very delicious. The oyster stew was amazing too. This spot is a good staple for a non-fussy meal. The fish entrees are always very good, salads are good and big, and the full bar has plenty of seating, but the decor and menu are a bit out-dated. The deck is awesome on a sunny evening, and they have good options for larger parties. We went here for my birthday last summer. It was pretty good food. Wonderfully fresh green beans accompanied my steak. Their creme brulee was not that good. Seemed like it had been sitting in the fridge too long. This place has a fantastic view...it needs to be remodeled dearly. I am used to the Anthony's in Bellingham Bay - now that place is gorgeous. Great Easter dinner with the parents, had reservations, highly recommended for any special holiday or event. Staff at the front were warm and welcoming. Were seated in a few minutes and provided yummy sour bread and butter (with thyme on it?). My side house salad was nice, with a light vinaigrette dressing. Both of my parents ordered steak with shrimp tempura and baked potatoes on the side, I assume the steak and shrimp were good, provided I was not offered a taste ;) I ordered the Northwest Cioppino--very tasty and filled with clams, mussels, cod, and salmon. Very good soup (accompanied by grilled bread) and worth the order. Great night and will definitely come back, better than nearby Arnie's. read more

Black Friday night we had the honor of attending Anthony's Homeport to celebrate missing out on the black Friday madness :) We began our orders with 2 beers for the adults and 2 Shirley Temples for the boys. We ordered the calamari and the crab cakes as a starter. For our mains the boys ordered the kids macaroni each. DH ordered the tenderloin medium rare with garlic mashed potatoes, corn and green beans. I ordered the seared Ahi chefs recommendation rare with a delicious rice and green beans. We were brought a bread basket with our drinks and our appetizers arrived shortly thereafter. The bread here is absolutely delicious! The calamari was good with a flavorful breading and tasty dipping sauce. The crab cakes are to die for!! Absolutely BEST crab cakes hands down!!!!! The kids macaroni and cheese was very yummy with a white cheese sauce. DH thoroughly enjoyed his tenderloin which was cooked to perfection. The corn and green beans were also claimed to be superb. The mashed potatoes however weren't anything exceptional and rather bland with a hint of garlic. Now onto my Ahi. The dish as a whole was simply phenomenal! Unfortunately I think the waitress misunderstood and it was cooked medium rare instead of chefs recommended seared rare. I didn't want to have to send it back and everyone's food get cold while they waited so I ate it as it was. It really was good but not what I was so looking forward to :( Next time though I will definitely confirm seared rare. Thanks for a great evening! Will review again next time :) read more

This is a fantastic restaurant, all around. It's seems packed every time I've been there, but not unpleasantly so. I see it as a testament to the restaurant's fabulousness. Hubby and I took our parents there to meet each other for the very first time. Dinner was a hit, our parents got along famously, and everyone went home happy (and full!). We have celebrated many family events and milestones at Anthony's over the years because the quality of the food, service, and atmosphere are truly top-notch. Of course, the view from the dining room over the water and the mountains is certainly a great backdrop for it all. Also of note is the beach cafe, just downstairs from the main dining room. The prices are a bit more affordable, the food is of the same quality as upstairs, and it makes a great diversion from waiting in the endless line for the ferry to Kingston on a busy Friday night. read more

Honestly the home port restaurant has a very beautiful view, the service is very average and the parking isn't the best. Clam Chowder and the salmon is absolutely amazing!!!!! Highly highly recommend those dishes. A little on the expensive side though, roughly 30 bucks a dish. So things can add up real quick. read more

Love coming here for a classy yet laid back dinner -- no matter where you sit, you have a great view. The food is always AMAZING -- unless you're starving or celebrating, you can probably skip the salad and appetizers as you'll get unlimited sourdough bread (which is also AMAZING.) Service can be hit or miss... sometimes the water boy/girl is more attentive than your server. Don't be afraid to grab another server or busboy/girl if you need something though -- the entire staff here is always SUPER helpful. Oh -- and don't even bother trying to find parking in the lot. There's plenty of parking on the street and it's free, and will save the annoying hassle of trying to navigate the small lot it shares with its other restaurant. read more

Took my family for a nice dinner, but I was very disappointed with the service. Got there on time, we were seated and had to wait 30 minutes before server came to the table. Went to reception to ask and they said, someone will be with you in a minute, no apologies whatsoever. Asked for a decanter and server said, no sure if we have one. Finally brought couple of then but didn't open the wine until almost was time to eat. Got appetizers and almost immediately they brought dinner, so we didn't have enough time to enjoy appetizers. Then we felt like we had to live right a way because check was brought in. The pressure was there, it was 9:00 and they close at 10:00. We want to start a Holiday tradition in a nice restaurant in Edmonds, but I know for sure that it won't be at Anthony's. it's to bad because place is nice and food is ok. read more

Overall...3.5 stars. I do not care for the Beach Cafe...the menu is just empty of dishes I am interested in. I default to the Fish Tacos...and they are just average. But the main Anthony's is quite good. Very good service, quality drinks, and fresh seafood. I usually order some fresh Oysters as well as their blue cheese salad to start, and both are excellent. For dinner I enjoy the Seafood Cioppino filled with fresh fish, Shrimp, Mussels, Clams, tomatos...mmmm, it is always wonderful. Not to mention the waterfront location can not be beat. A great Edmonds restaurant well worth visiting. read more

I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was fabulous! I went to Anthony's the other night with some friends and we had a wonderful experience. I ordered the "Sunset Dinner" which is a four-course meal that includes an appetizer, your choice of chowder or salad, entree and dessert. I ordered the Wild Alaska Salmon Croccantini for my appetizer, Anthony's Clam Chowder for my second course, Alaska True Cod Caddy Ganty as my entree, and Bailey's Irish Cream Chocolate Mousse for dessert. Everything was absolutely exquisite. The meat was prepared perfectly, the right proportions of spices were used and everything was garnished wonderfully. On another note, the staff was efficient and helpful as well. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in top-notch seafood and a GREAT venue. read more

Every time I come here its always a pleasant experience. Good ambiance, good food, good staff and okay prices. It is seafood after all though! BUT! I will say that the happy hour and menu items changes location to location. For example at the Alderwood Grill, they have a $9 1/2 Snow crab item on their happy hour menu that this location does not have! (Just an example). We had a great date night at Anthony's in Edmonds. My salmon with scalloped potatoes and asparagus was perfect, the waterfront sunset view was breathtaking, and we had excellent service. The waitress went out of her way to make a drink recommendation (I'm 38 weeks pregnant) without being asked, which I appreciated and my husband liked his Pinot Noir, too. First time my partner did not take home a doggy bag- in spite of much food left. She was disappointed. In fairness we have had many good experiences here. As I eat from the biggest doggy bag ever, I note the problem for both our meals was the mushrooms in our fettucinies- hers was lobster, mine seafood. So I now have a mountain of noodles to eat, which are good - now that I removed the offensive taste - from mushrooms which were seriously out of date. First time this has happened but it was enough to ruin the vibe. Otherwise- the waiter was well informed, very professional, one of the best- but never asked how we liked our meal or why there was so much left on the plate. Best things I find about Anthony's are the fresh hot bread, and the freshest butter ever, sourced locally, and of course the expansive view across our magical landscape. The drinks have been quite good for an occasional drinker- including the pomelo vodka drink was exceptional for both of us she a very light drinker. The dinner salad - just normal- but it is so simple to look at mushroom s before using them as they can make or break a meal based on how fresh they are. I recently went here for dinner. The ambiance is great with wonderful views of the ferries coming and going. We sat in the bar/lounge area (doesn't require a reservation). You can order either from the bar menu or the full dinner menu. My favorite from the bar menu is the burger for $7.95, a great deal and a great burger! I recently ordered a filet off of the regular menu. It was perfectly medium rare to my liking. Mashed potatoes and broccoli were good also. Meals come with a delicious sourdough bread too. Drinks- my favorite is their Elder Manhattan, a nice variation. I'd go there just for this drink. I don't know about any of the other Anthony's but this one is top notch! read more

We dine at Anthony's about twice a week as the seafood is always outstanding. The salads too are excellent and you have many choices of appetizers. The deserts such as strawberry shortcake, their slumps and chocolate moose are outstanding. Went here for my 8th wedding anniversary. Got there 5 minutes before reservation time and the woman said, "You're early..we'll seat you as soon as we can..." which took 10 minutes after our reservation time. But that didn't matter as much, because our server was awesome! He was funny and easy going. Our food was really good (except for the Tempura)..they could use more coconut on the coconut prawns though. The Cobb salad was phenomenal! It had shrimp, avacado, mango (yum!), and the salad dressing was great. I would definitely recommend this salad to anyone! The wine was great. The bread was soft in the center and the crust was almost unchewable. But overall, I thought it was nice. The environment...very loud in there. I could barely hear my honey from across the table..forget about whispering sweet nothings into my ear..ha! I have to say that the service made up for any mishaps. Good job! read more

Delicious, consistent mahi mahi tacos brings Anthony's Beach Cafe a 4 star rating. They remembered to add extra cilantro too. We first shared a salad, large enough for two to enjoy. My husband thought his pan-fried oysters, red potatoes, and green beans were a perfect meal. We always leave satiated, but not stuffed. Friendly service. Plus, we were given a $20 coupon for another visit. A product of these trying times... Just too bad that there's often a wait there. And being that you're right at the beautiful Edmonds waterfront with bobbing boats...there is hardly a view unless you're standing. Quite pleasant in the summer. But, even then, it's usually cool and windy here, as the tables are situated on the northwest side. read more

Superb food - everything was amazing - the salmon special was perfectly cooked and the mango crab smash is so undesirably good. You know what was great though? What really stood out? Paul, our server Paul. Attentive, personable, engaging. Let us enjoy our long lazy evening, made suggestions that only enhanced our meal, was genuinely kind. Nice view but the food is just ok. They have a kids menu. My son had fish and chips which were good. But the cup of chowder was super fishy like it had sat for a long time. They took it off the bill which was nice. We had the early bird meals with salmon and my boyfriend had the cod. The salmon was ok. The cod was better. It was really cheap for multiple things that came with the early bird meal. The salmon appetizer was very dry and quite bad. The shrimp cocktail was good. We went back for happy hour seeing that in the winter happy hour is 4pm to close! The burger was ok. Lots (tons!) of cheap happy hour drink options except there arent wells on HH! But the bartender just sort of made us HH wells for cheap anyway. I will go back for happy hour again! read more

I did not reach out to the management (as they offered) but I did return last week with 8 of us to celebrate our anniversary. Anthony's have totally redeemed themselves back into our favor as one of our favorite 'nice' restaurants!!! We were seated at a fantastic table with views in two directions and the service and food was fantastic. There was no rush and we felt that the staff were truly concerned about our experience. The orders ranged from steak, seafood and pasta and we were drinking beer and cocktails and brought a bottle of wine for Anthony's to serve for us ($15 corking fee = reasonable). All were delicious. The bill always amazes me, since it's never as high as I think it should be. In the future, if I have a party greater than 8 and I would like special consideration for seating or anything else, I will make sure that I have a conversation with the management well in advance so that no miscommunication can ruin the evening. read more

My wife and I live in downtown Edmonds. We can walk to 40 restaurants (it's true -40) from where we live. Anthony's Homeport is at the top tier. We like to dine here at least once a month. My wife always buys the fresh oysters. Great seafood, great view, friendly and attentive staff (Kristina, our server last night was awesome!). The wine list is good and the bar mixes great drinks. I wanted to surprise my partner by coming here for our weekly date night last night. This is a more upscale place but still has that 1980's vibe to it when you walk in. I did not know these were two separate restaurants which was Anthony's Homeport and Beach cafe. We had a reservation for 7:15. We went into the beach cafe apparently and the hostess acted like I was putting her out by asking a question. We were directed upstairs to the proper restaurant. There were a few small tables available by the window but they would not seat us there because they said they were in high demand. Ok? But I actually made a reservation. We were sat in a weird corner triangle type table booth. Waters and drinks took forever to get. The way we sat we were side by side. Not a huge deal but for the amount of time we were there our necks became stiff. My partner had the crab legs, and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp she did not care for. I ordered a sirloin off the incredibly small menu. I asked for it medium well. It came out way overcooked and was like biting into shoe leather. I sent it back. The waitress actually brought a whole new meal but it took almost a half hour. I only wanted a new steak. Anyway my partner had to basically wait for me to finish. We sat down at 7:20 and did not leave until well after 9 pm. This was disappointing. The waitress informed me that she let the manager know about my steak. Why? What does this mean? I wasn't going to complain. Mistakes happen but when someone has to wait an extra 30 minutes ontop of the 45 mins to an hour that it took for their food this is kind of ridiculous. The steak was good though for the new one they brought but not worth 30 $ price tag. The clam chowder I had was decent but not world famous. A tiny cup is 7 dollars. Its like 3 bites worth. I really wanted mashed potatoes but they are pre-made with chives and they couldn't accommodate that. The view was nice. We got to watch the ferries. Probably wont be coming back. We would rather drive all the way to Desmoines for the other seafood restaurants there. read more

I came here last week and the food was delicious. The shrimp and muscles had me going back for seconds (it was a buffet type). Also the crab cakes were really great also. The staff hustled and they had everything in place and were really friendly. If you buy shots liquor, expect to get billed heavily, but that is normally expected in places in places like this. I'm upset tonight because I made reservations 2 months ago for 12 of us, with a specific room/space in mind (one that we've been able to get several times before... table 120?). I didn't get it. Nobody else got it either. It sits empty. Instead, we got split into two tables and they won't let us connect them. They haven't even taken away the extra place settings. So our family get-together is split into two and we're still going to drop over $1000+ and when I asked why they couldn't accommodate my request, I got a pretty crummy answer from the young hostess. "We can't do that". No offer to speak to the manager or even look at my original request. Looks like Rays or Saltys or somewhere else might be my next family spot. read more

Beautiful view! The restaurant is a little dated but the food is delicious. I had the seasonal rhubarb strawberry lemonade and it was really tasty. The sourdough bread the accompanies the meal is warm and crusty, and I like how you can choose between a few starter salads with your meal. I had one with a dill dressing and bacon and it was great. For my main course I had the copper river salmon. It was pretty good, and the beurre blanc sauce was not too overpowering. Overall, I enjoy coming to this place. I have no qualms about spending money for great food, but I feel like for the quality of food and the ambience that the menu is slightly overpriced. That is why I have only ever come here if someone else is picking up the tab. read more
