I love trying pizza from different establishments when I travel, so ordering a pizza from Anthony's Italian Pizza was no different than any other event. I asked for the meat lovers on a very thin crust and that's exactly what I got, but what I wasn't aware of is that I was going to have to ask for sauce! But, to Anthony's credit, I went back and read the menu again and it listed for only four meats... it did not list a sauce. Without a sauce, my pizza was dry and chewy, which did not surprise me. So if you're gonna order a pizza from here, read the menu carefully, because you might need to order a sauce. read more

My wife and I stopped in here when we were out running some errands in this area. It is located in a strip mall near Ace hardware so there is lots of parking. The restaurant is not overly large but had adequate indoor seating and a few outdoor tables. The staff were very friendly. We had a greek salad and a chicken parm sandwich. The salad was pretty good but the chicken parm sandwich was very good! Very flavorful and a good size sandwich! BEWARE OF CREDIT CARD FRAUD. We were from out of town. After eating, I presented my credit card for payment to the waitress. When she returned I circled the amount of $47.63 and made specific cross out marks in the tip area because I tipped out in cash, $9. When we received our statement the waitress had taken it upon herself to add an unauthorized additional 20% tip to the credit card receipt increasing the charge to $56.86. Icalled the restaurant and they called it an honest error, a new waitress and thought I was being "rediculous over $10." They passed it off as if it wasn't a serious incident that the waitress altered our receipt. BEWARE. IT HAPPENS AFTER YOU LEAVE, NOT WHILE YOU ARE THERE. read more

I was recommended this pizzeria from the hotel front desk at Tru. When we first called, they told us since it was late, orders could only be accepted online thru Grubhub which we were fine with. We ordered mozzarella sticks and an extra cheese and bacon pie. Grubhub mishandled the order by changing delivery to pickup so after about a half hour, the pizzeria called and said if we were coming. I explained my situation and they offered to deliver it to us which was great since we had just driven 12 hours and were pretty tired of the car. Unfortunately, I didn't get the name of the person who dropped it off but he was extremely nice and pleasant. Then to top it off, the food was DELICIOUS!!! I say it was way way better than other pizzerias I ordered from, including in NYC. I have to say, our next trip, we will be staying here and ordering from them again cause the food was that good and the customer service was excellent and exceptional, bar none! Small, quiet, cozy, strip mall Italian place. For entertainment, they had an arcade game, jukebox is $1 a song (what?) and a tv. Upon entering, no one said anything to us and there wasn't a sign, so we seated ourselves. The diet soda was flat, so tried the sweet tea but it had a weird aftertaste so ordered a bottled drink. We ordered a medium pepperoni and the pizza crust had a great texture, but the slice was bland. Added salt. Wish it was a little lighter on sauce and heavier on cheese and pepperoni. Also, the checkout area causes a bottleneck between the dining area and the restroom. I can't say I was thrilled about having to bump booties with complete strangers on my way out. You have employees cussing loudy while young families are dining, 2 employees making out behind the swinging door, the female was our server who only put the initial G on the ticket (we can all see you, you're not hidden), everyone is on their cell phones, delivery driver came in angry about a customer we could all hear him complaining. Delivery driver locked his keys in the car in the parking lot and food was delivered even later than the long wait time for him to arrive. Food was no longer warm. Today I ordered food online. We previously ordered from here at least twice per week but I never will again. Our driver got pulled over by the police and did not have insurance (confirmed by her mother). So, an hour later, our food was cold. We called and they sent out another order. Overall - we waited over 2 1/2 hours for our order. After spending $400 - $500 per month at this place for a decade, and never once making a complaint, I called to complain. The manager, Eric, told me that he had given me four free cans of Pepsi and that's all he would do. If I went to a hospital - and the doctor didn't have a license - I would blame the hospital. It is their responsibility to ensure their employees have insurance. Website says 8 mile radius for delivery, gave him the address 7 away - when he checked the address he then said his manager only allows 15 minutes away. When I told him to pull the address up and tell me the distance he confirmed 7 miles. So when I asked why they would lie about their radius, he hung up on me. Salad was really fresh. My boyfriend's chicken linguini was pretty good (he liked it, but I'm not sure I'm a fan of the Alfredo sauce.) I am so disappointed. We come here to Kings Dominion several time a month. We ordered from here before. The food was good enough. Somewhat bland but added seasonings we brought. I got some baked spaghetti there the other night, I would say it was pretty damn good but the atmosphere was terrible I mean it couldn't have been worse. Apparently they got the idea to save money by putting in some LED lightbulbs but they bought the bright white full spectrum light bulbs and not the warm white ones and I felt like I was in a fish tank. After cruising for about an hour I spotted Anthony's and right away the need for spaghetti hit me. I called them from the parking lot to place my order. Once placed I went inside and waited maybe 5 minutes. What an order of spaghetti and meat sauce!!! It also came with a salad and bread. HAND TOSSED!! I had the white pizza which was really good. The pizza had ricotta, mozzarella, garlic and i added bacon. It is pretty much a sauce less pizza but you could really taste how good the bread they use is. Maybe it's my own fault for choosing to get a salad at a plae that has pizza in the name but I made the choice and it was not delivered. For a Caesar salad it was pitiful . Just lettuce with a little onion tossed around. Slices of tomatoes instea of Roma . The same cheap powder Parmesan cheese as you put on cheap pasta drowned in out of a can dressing.
