Ordered delivery from here tonight for my boyfriend and wow. I don't know who dropped the ball here. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana entree with fettuccine and asked for extra marinara in the notes. $13.34. And ordered the 8pc buffalo hot wings with blue cheese sauce. $8.49. Delivery arrived late. The eggplant parm does not have fresh mozzarella unfortunately. They didn't provide extra marinara as asked kindly. The fettuccine was overcooked. It was subpar. I don't recommend it and wouldn't order this again. The buffalo wings were cooked perfect. They tasted ok. The veggies with them were not fresh and pretty much inedible. They also FORGOT the blue cheese sauce. How do you forget something so simple?? It goes with buffalo wings like peanut butter goes with jelly. The side salad was actually the best part of this meal. Fresh lettuce and veggies. Oil and red vinegar complemented perfect. Disappointing that the side salad was the best part. I called the restaurant cause the order was late and the gentleman said they were very busy and it's on its way and should be there any minute. Being busy is no excuse to serve bad food! Romano Pizza is AMAZING! Never disappoints. Should've just ordered from them. We will not be reordering from here. read more

I ordered the shrimp scampi and found a blue label sticker inside my pasta. It wasn't noticeable until I took one bite of my fettuccini and then when I tried to lift up the pasta I immediately noticed the sticker (see my photo). I was utterly disgusted because the label sticker had glue on it and was mixed or cooked with the pasta. It was unsanitary and unsafe!! The blue sticker was evidently noticeable how can someone cook the pasta without noticing it? The pasta portion wasn't that big. I ordered the same entree in the past year and there weren't any issues. However after my recent experience, I will NEVER order from here again. BEWARE customers and diners. Great slice here. I'm sorry it took me so long to finally try this. I love it when a pizza place can just do it right on a traditional slice, like plain or pepperoni. They also do hot and cold subs, wings, and pasta, so I'll have to be back for sure. read more

Anthony's serves the best dairy free pizza in this area. I usually order the grandma's pie with marinara sauce (b/c grandma sauce has cheese in it) with sausage, pepperoni, roast red peppers and pineapple. It's so delicious! Last night I called and they were soooo busy but the owner walked this order himself- now that's customer service. Thank you so much! Made my night. This is one of those times I would disagree with my fellow yelpers and say this is not a place for good eats. I thought the portions were small and the prices were high. I took pictures of my food so you be the judge. The pizza is super small and thin. Not quality cheese and probably made in a regular over. There was no slight char from a pizza oven and looked like something you buy in your grocery's food aisle for $1 on sale. The cheese wasn't even melted all the way. For $7, I expect a bigger and better pie because I got my own regular oven at home. I also got the chicken sandwich and that was okay. But I paid $1.50 extra for bacon and didn't taste it on the first half of the sandwich. When I opened up the sandwich, all I see is a couple flakes of bacon. They use bacon bits (bacos). There were 4 waffles fries included in it which was a nice surprise. It's also really expensive-- a small personal pie that costs $1 at the store and chicken sandwich with bacos came to $23 delivered. Not worth it. read more

Always noticed this restaurant but never knew the name because the signage only says "Pizza" I decided to give this a shot because of the high yelp reviews and the pizza is pretty good. I ordered a Sicilian with pepperoni and sausage on half. The pie was enormous and pretty good. The downside was the crust was not like traditional crust but more of a sliced bread or hero texture and taste. It also soaked the sauce too much. The price is actually $5 cheaper than other local pizza shops so it's definitely worth giving it a try! Will order again but will try something else. read more

Brand Italian restaurant for Weehawken and Union City. This is my second visit and I have to admit it is incredible! Fresh ingredients great food, BYOB. Owner has been on site both times I have been here, very friendly and attentive, really wants to make every customer feel special. Only had the meatball sub and pizza so far, meatball sub is amazing! Pizza is thin tortilla type crust, great sauce and cheese, not traditional pizza. Owner says pizza oven is on the way, so let's wait to review that. After a long flight to NJ I ordered the pizza. I was so disappointed that food was delivered 30mins late and pizza was not warm either. I ordered margherita pizza with green pepper and crushed red pepper with basil leaves. Basil leaves looked like it were long dead! I wish pizza was warm enough. I like pizza crust. I had a very poor experience at this restaurant. I ordered the chicken parm platter. It was hard, difficult to eat/poorly cooked. I called the restaurant asking if they can provide a credit or send a new order and they were very rude on the phone. He raised his voice on the phone and spoke over me the entire phone call. As a first time customer of this place, who ordered about $50 worth of food over delivery and paid tip - they could have taken an extra step to preserve a customer. They failed to do that and I will not be ordering from here again. read more

The Grandma pizza is sooo good! And the staff is friendly. We have ordered several times and the food is consistently delicious.

The pizza was absolutely tasty! Only ordered from here once, but Im currently waiting for my ongoing order! When adding jalepeno peppers, I was worried they'd be light handed, but boy was I wrong! The pizza had jalepenos stuffed between the cheese and pepperoni layers, absolutely amazing! The pizza was finished quite quickly, as everyone in my household devoured the extra large pie! I was hopeful given the good Yelp rating but NJ food continues to disappoint. Everything was just ok, and just so greasy it kind of sits heavy in your stomach after. Pizza had a very thin crust but not in a crispy way, was kind of soggy. Mozzarella sticks were fine (but deep fried not breaded), fully loaded potato skins were kind of burnt. Expected the meatball marinara sub to taste better than it did, though it was very large. Top notch customer service. We had our food delivered to our hotel two nights in a row. The delivery man was the best! He was prompt and kind. Everything was delicious--fried ravioli, pizza, buffalo chicken sandwich, and a side salad. Although a small side salad was not listed on the menu, the person on the phone said he would have one made (and for a very reasonable price). I highly recommend this restaurant. read more

A Good Solid Pizza Option I have 5 to 10 local pizza restaurants and I've tried a fair few of them. They've all been pretty decent and I've always been reasonably satisfied but in my 9 years in the neighborhood, I'd never got round to trying Anthony's (I don't order that often). I think when you're salivating over pizza and you have known options, you're tempted to go with proven choices. But use of such logic will obviously preclude one from trying more options, so I decided to give Anthony's a try 2 nights ago. I always go for the "specials". I like all toppings so the specials are always the best deal for me. Anthony's special is 5 toppings, which is fewer than most, but it is a cheaper option than most and it is a nice and juicy offering. I did enjoy it and it didn't collapse like some. The food here never disappoints! They are reliable and always deliver earlier than their time window. I love their sauce on the pizza and the topping selection is perfect. Not only that but all the toppings always appear fresh (although I never ordered mushrooms on my pie which is my telling point because I hate when pizzerias use canned mushrooms as it's lazy and the taste is awful). I return here for our family a couple times a month and will continue to do so! Never been inside to review decor and such. read more

Absolutely delicious! I've discovered this place over a year ago and i order from them at least 4 times a month or more. My family and I love every dish. We also love to go to this small and welcoming place. They make you feel like you're going in a family dinner table. I always deal with George but the entire staff is great. They know us now, we love the fact that they know their customers by first name. Food is fresh, I can't even tell you what's my favorite dish. Because quite frankly ALL of them are great. Would love to post a picture but the pizza was so good we devoured it. It was the best slice that I've had in a while. Even though they were a little late the pizza was delicious and the guy on the phone was courteous. I also ordered fries and 8 piece of wings. The fries well didn't care for them that's why they didn't get a 5. My hubby said the chicken was really good. So here's my advice if your from out of town and want some really good pizza. Go for it. We ordered Hawaiin Pizza and Chicken cutlet sub. I really enjoyed my pizza. The delivery took longer than expected.

Great sandwiches. We had Meatball Parm, Chicken Parm, and Sausage, Peppers and Onions. All were delicious and quite large.

Delivery was fast but the pizza did not taste good. The cheese tasted like rubber. I would not order from here again.

We Wanted to try a different Pizzeria so we gave Anthony's a try. We ordered a white pie, the grandma pizza, a margherita pizza, and the loaded potatoes. We were pleasantly surprised with the pizza. It was nice and crispy and the sauce was really good. However, the order of loaded potatoes was really small and not worth $7.99. We bought it so my sons could share and that was not really possible. The potatoes were over priced but we will definitely order pizza from them again. read more

I have ordered from Anthony's several times and while their Grandma pie is great, it's inconsistent. A couple times it's awesome, tonight it was thick and doughy and didn't taste the same. When it's good, it's fantastic, but I would rather it be consistent. And their delivery is inconsistent as well. read more

This is a tough review to write. There is so much potential, but it just isn't there yet. The food is excellent, no doubt, but there are pieces missing. I just ordered 3 items for delivery, there was a problem with all 3. (Wrong dressing on salad, no corn in corn chowder, no fries with sandwich). It's very disappointing because everything did genuinely taste good, but if I can't rely on what I'm ordering making it to me, I can't rely on the restaurant. Personally, both me and my husband like the taste of the food from Anthony's. We took a chance in our first order of Anthony Sub Sandwich, Garlic Mozzarella Chicken and French Fries. We liked the taste and so then next we tried Vegetarian Pizza and Waffle Fries. Surprisingly, even it tasted good. The pizza scene in Union City/Weehawken is frankly embarrassing for being so close to NYC. Thankfully, Anthony's is nearby. Of all the places I have tried, Anthony's is hands down the best. This Place SUCKS!!! first time ordering and it shows up 2 hours late ! Pizza was cold , Nasty and it looks like the put something heavy on top because the cheese was stuck on the other side of the box ! , I order fried calamari ! It was so over cooked it felt like I was eating rubber !! The breading was brown ! That's just the food ! , the driver was a rude and didn't even deliver to my door !
