Great spot for dine in pizza or takeaways! They offer Detroit style by the pie, and it is some of the best Hoboken has to offer. Their pasta and salad dishes are also great, but the pizza is the star of the show here. We tried two different pies, the spicy sausage and the pepperoni. While the sausage one was great, the pepperoni one is the one you have to try if you come here. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere is nice for any occasion including a casual date, family, or friends just looking to grab a bite. It is BYOB and there is also outdoor seating for the sunny months!

Had a great meal here over the weekend! The Hot Honey Pepperoni Pizza was DELICIOUS! It was very crispy and crunchy and TASTY! It was cooked to perfection! I also enjoyed the Vodka Sauce Chicken Parmigana! Can't wait to come back and try more items on the menu!

The service, ambiance, and location were amazing, but the food was just okay. I was salivating looking at photos of the pizza on Yelp so maybe this pizza lovers expectations were too high, but it just missed the mark. We started with the Marinated Mushroom salad and complementary bread and butter - both were subpar. We ordered the square pie with mushrooms, olives and onions. IMO - the mushrooms were too raw for a pizza topping. Although the pie was twice baked, some bites still felt soggy on the bottom. Finally, we were between the tiramisu and cannoli for dinner. We opt for the tiramisu because it was homemade. I didn't take a photo because presentation wasn't great and unfortunately the dessert wasn't my favorite either.

Finally able to try Johnny Pepperoni's. Friendly staff. Had a minor issue with seating in the beginning but the issue was quickly resolved. Nice selection of items on their menu but we opted to try the pizza. Ordered the 14 inch round pie and added pepperoni. It came out within a reasonable time and piping hot. Loved that it was thin crust. Thought it was good but a little salty with the pepperonis added and could use a more even distribution of the fresh mozzarella. Overall yes the pizza was good but it wasn't anything special to rave about. Loved the aesthetics/decor of the restaurant. Perfect for a summer date night or outdoor dining.

I wanted to like it, i really did but as soon as I ordered the ricotta bruschetta my heart broke. It's almost disrespectful to have a slice of bread slathered in ricotta and a few diced tomatoes and call it bruschetta. For that, I couldve done it myself at home and called it a struggle snack. I already anticipated the rest of the experience to be subpar. The pasta entrees were salty so perhaps this is more of a pizza place than anything else?

Stumbled upon this place on a Saturday night when everywhere else was packed / fully booked. Overall OK experience - OK food, nice ambiance, good service. Tried their weekly specials: Drunken Mussels - With butter, garlic, dijon mustard, lemon juice and red pepper flakes, in a white wine sauce, served with two toast points - pretty fresh mussels, very buttery and garlicky sauce - way too salty though. The Half Moon - Homemade ciabatta bread stuffed with buffalo chicken parm, red onions, tomatoes and lettuce, served with french fries and a side of buffalo aioli - bit disappointed with this one, the bread is too tough and you need a saw to cut it. Pumpkin Ravioli - With grilled chicken in sage brown butter sauce and parmigiana reggiano - WOW! Loved the raviolis! The pumpkin flavor really shines through and it almost tasted like a dessert with the hint of sweetness which complimented the cheese and sauce very well. The chicken unfortunately was bit too tough/dry though. The ambiance is good - the indoor space is actually open all around, so it's just like outdoor with roof over your head - great for COVID cautiousness.

Unfortunately, bad pizza and even worse customer service. Offered 15% off when our pizza arrived and looked like it went through war. Do not recommend delivery.

Unlimited bread... need I say more! Amazing spot have been living in Hoboken for years and finally made my way over. Shared the hot honey pepperoni pie special and it did not disappoint. At $27 it was a bit pricy was perfect for sharing with a friend though. It is also a great spot for BYO which is really nice and hard to find in the area. I would go back and would love to try more of their pies/pasta.

Been to Johnny Pepperoni's only twice but enjoyed both experiences. The two experiences I had at Johnny pepperoni's were very different. The first we ordered one or two apps (the burrata with prosciutto was *chefs kiss*) and a bunch of pies to split. That's the way to go in my opinion. I'd recommend the Mushroom & Fontina pie, and the Sausage & Broccoli Rabe. When I returned for my second visit, my group had a different approach. Many wanted their own entrees, so splitting pies was regrettably off the table. A few ordered chicken and fish dishes and seemed satisfied but not overly thrilled. I sampled the chicken parm which I surprisingly did not love. Mussels appetizer was fine. Arancini was good. Tip: go with a group and order a bunch of pizzas. Bring wine (BYOB!!) and enjoy yourself. Solid Hoboken spot, great little environment as well.

    Mushroom and fontina pie

I love pizza. My boyfriend loves pizza. So we decided to slowly hit up all the pizza spots in Hoboken (not all at once). Johnny Pepperoni had been on our list for a while because we always passed by it on the way to/from Trader Joe's. One snowstormy day, we found ourselves with no dinner, and had a small case of cabin fever. So we decided to place an order and trek on over to pick up some pizza. To start, we ordered a side of the arancini (Sicilian-style rice fritters, prosciutto, fontina and tomato sauce), which I didn't like. Somethaing didn't taste right with the cheese - like they might have mixed some cheddar cheese, or kraft singles in it. For the pizza, we had the Mushroom and Fontina pie (white pizza, roasted mushrooms, fontina, fresh mozzarella, pecorino, garlic and thyme). Now I don't know if maybe I just don't like white pizza, or if it was just too much going on, but I didn't like it as much as I was expecting it to. It was pretty heavy. On the plus side, there were a decent amount of mushrooms on the pie; I just wish they had spread it out more evenly. Perhaps their pies would taste better if you dine in, so I wouldn't mind going back to try a different pizza, preferably one with sauce. Plus, I believe it's BYOB!

Chicken Parm is very good. Haven't tried many menu options but that entree is on par with some of the best I've had.

Ordered both the square pie and a regular cheese. Both were underwhelming. Square pie was greasy and unappetizing.

Authentic Italian... As long as you order their homemade pasta. Please note that on the menu they have a specific section for the pasta they make by hand and the pasta they do not. I heard a table next to us saying something again to the positive taste homemade but they ordered from a section where it didn't say it was lol. What makes this place great is you can pretty much make whatever kind of dish you want when it comes to the pasta. They offer a variety of sauces as well. Surprisingly on this night, I wasn't very hungry and I ended up only getting their soup, which was also delicious. The chicken franchise was delicious, as well as the eggplant Parmesan. However, looking around at the restaurant, I can see the winner is the chicken Parmesan and the muscles. They seem to be very popular dishes. Not only is the food here great, but it is affordable. The only mention I will make as a knock against it is it gets extremely loud in there. This is not somewhere you want go for a date... Or if you intend on talking to anyone you're eating with and hearing what they have to say haha. That's only for the indoor section though. I'm sure outdoor is less intense with the sound. We will definitely be back!

The space was not large, but they really made the most of it, offering a decent number of tables with reasonable space between them. My friend and I were quickly seated and immediately greeted by a charming server that opened our bottle of wine (it's BYO) and offered us still or sparkling water. I had read in other reviews that you had to pay for water, so I was not surprised by the $6 bottle of Saratoga that wound up on our bill. In addition to our engaging server and the happening atmosphere, the food was similarly incredible. We decided to order a load of things to share, so that we could try a greater variety. We started with two appetizers that were seasonal Spring additions to the menu. The Hamachi Crudo included five thickly-sliced, tender pieces of Japanese yellowtail sitting in a broth of rhubarb aguachile and topped with white strawberries and basil seeds. It was an unique blend that we would not have expected to work, but boy was it delicious! The sweet toppings infused a load of flavor into an otherwise mild fish. We also enjoyed the Fava-mole, a creamy puree of fava beans studded with balls of hand-pulled mozzarella and pea tendrils, all drizzled with zesty ramp oil. I had not been sure what to expect from the dish, but it offered fresh, bright garden flavors. We also decided to share a pasta course and an entree. The Fettuccini was tossed with spring truffles and maitakes in a light, yet heavily aromatic, wild mushroom cream sauce. It was one of the best dishes I had had in quite some time. Then, as we were waiting on our seafood entree, we received a second pasta, courtesy of the Chef. I had mentioned that I had heard rave reviews about Flour from a server at Heirloom Kitchen, a top NJ restaurant. Apparently, our waiter had let the Chef know about that glowing praise, and the kitchen further verified that positivity with the generous gesture. In fact, they wound up sending out the Linguine with white clam sauce, razor clams, and wild ramps, the other dish about which I had been most curious anyway. Well, it was another winner! It was garlicky, herbaceous, and rich with flavors of the sea. Speaking of seafood, we next received the Branzino 'Bahn mi', a perfectly cooked piece of Mediterranean sea bass with Vietnamese sausage and pickled vegetables. The branzino's crispy skin and flaky, moist interior were excellent, and we loved all of the other smoky and briny flavors on the plate. After all of that excellent food, we would have loved to try one of their appealing desserts, but we were just too full. Between the ambiance, welcoming vibe, and delicious cuisine, our Flour experience was simply divine! It has now became one of my favorite restaurants in the area, and I cannot wait to try their pizza at some point as well.

I was a big fan of both, especially the ricotta, which was so incredibly creamy. For the mains, everyone's fresh-made pasta was excellent. I ordered the Mexican street corn, which was unique, flavorful, and delicious. I also tried some of the spicy rigatoni and loved it. We ended the night with the s'mores dessert, which was rich and chocolatey. Also, the fact that the restaurant is BYOB is a huge plus! The only downside was that I lost an item during our visit. I had a really hard time finding their contact information online, so I had to go back in person to ask about it, which was a bit annoying. Ultimately, they weren't able to recover it, but the food itself was still outstanding.
