It looks promising the people are friendly the atmosphere is nice but the pizza sitting in the case is old the sauce is non-existent the cheese is not tasty and the crust is mediocre I would never eat this again I didn't even finish what they gave me... 3.00 a slice and any frozen pizza on the planet is going to taste better

This is a great Italian restaurant located in a strip mall in the Altamonte Springs area…read more Parking is easy because it's a strip mall, so there's parking everywhere. They take reservations, but when I called I was told that they don't take them past three p.m. because they get incredibly busy. Judging by the quality of the food, that's not hard to believe. There's a series of appetizers available. We tried mussels and their fried calamari, and both were delicious. The portions are generous, so you can bring a large party and order a few to share. We were a party of six and we did fine with the two appetizers. There's also some bread that's complementary and comes with a delicious spread on the side! This alone is a great reason to visit here. Our mains also came with either a soup or salad. I had the Caesar salad, and it was great! Nice croutons with a light dressing and some shredded cheese. I ordered their carbonara for my mains. You can pick from a variety of pastas, such as spaghetti and linguine. I chose spaghetti, as I felt it would better absorb the sauce. The sauce was a nice creamy sauce served with prosciutto and had that classic carbonara flavor. Totally delicious! For drinks, they have many options, such as coffee and soda, as well as a wine selection. Great options for drinks in this place. The service is also great. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and checked on us regularly. Overall, it's a fantastic restaurant. Great food and great service. You may want to plan ahead if you're going later in the day, as it looks like they don't take reservations past 3 p.m. as I understand it. If you must wait, though, I'd say it's worth it. I highly recommend this place!!

Disappointing Anniversary Celebration…read more My husband and I chose Enzo's on the Lake for our first visit to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. From the moment our server introduced himself, he appeared overwhelmed and distracted. We understand it was Magical Dining season and restaurants are busier than usual, so we tried to be patient and understanding throughout the evening. After placing our drink order, it took some time for the drinks to arrive, but since we weren't in any rush, this wasn't an issue. In fact, the drinks were excellent and were one of the few highlights of the evening. We ordered the meatballs and Caesar salad as appetizers. Surprisingly, they arrived only a few minutes after ordering, which may explain why the quality was lacking. The meatballs were only room temperature and not particularly tender, while the Caesar salad was wilted. For our entrees, I ordered the Fettuccine Al Aragosta e Gamberi and my husband ordered the Ravioli della Casa. The meals arrived just 5 to 7 minutes after ordering. Although the plates themselves were hot, the food was barely warm. The ravioli had decent flavor, but the fettuccine was completely tasteless. Overall, we were left with the impression that the food was not freshly prepared. What was equally disappointing was the lack of service. Throughout the meal, our server never checked on us to ask whether everything was satisfactory or if we needed anything. We were never offered another round of drinks. To make matters worse, when he cleared our table to bring the dessert menu, he took my drink even though I had not finished it. He then offered to bring me a "half drink" as a replacement, which was confusing and inappropriate. Between the disappointing food, inattentive service, and overall poor dining experience, our special anniversary celebration fell far short of expectations. Unfortunately, this visit did not leave us with any reason to return, and we will not be dining here again.

A while back, when my teenagers were craving fast-food pizza, I insisted on taking them somewhere truly exceptional instead. Skeptical as any teenagers would be, they came along, and ended up absolutely loving it! Fast forward to my wife's birthday: when I asked the kids where they wanted to go celebrate, they answered at the same time, "Francesco's!" My wife and I had a great laugh and immediately agreed. It was actually her very first time dining here. From the moment we sat down, our server, Kevin, provided exceptional service. We started with the Gamberoni Siciliana; the shrimp was cooked to perfection and the sauce was rich and delicious. For main course, obviously, the kids ordered pizzas: a Carne Pazza and a classic Margherita. The crust at Francesco's is unbeatable; perfectly crunchy with that distinct, rich taste we all love. My wife ordered the Pollo Cacciatore, which was sophisticated and vibrant; you could instantly tell how fresh the ingredients were, right down to the olives, which were hands-down the freshest I've ever tasted. I had the Vitello Parmigiana, and the marinara sauce tasted genuinely like "la ricetta della nonna", you can feel the care and love in every bite. For dessert, I quietly asked Kevin to bring out the Profiteroles with a candle. The staff blew us away by presenting the dessert beautifully decorated with cream like a nice cake, bringing it to the table while singing "Tanti auguri a te." It was a wonderful, memorable evening for my wife and our whole family. Thank you to Kevin and the entire team at Francesco's for putting so much heart into what you do!

When…read morethey announced that they'd been bought, the first thing that jumped out was that I hoped the market wouldn't change that much. Well, sigh, it definitely has. I can no longer run over for produce or some proteins for dinner. I happily supported them over Publix for years. The shelving areas have been cut in half. The wine cooler is no more (granted it hasn't cooled properly in quite awhile). One of the best parts of Antonio's downstairs was being able to grab a bottle of reasonably priced wine with the $5 cork fee but the Prosecco we've enjoyed for years has increased over $5 a bottle plus that cork fee... not the deal we've had in the past. They did add a happy hour downstairs... that ends at 5pm. Catering to retirees maybe? The restaurant space is more open due to the downsizing of the market. The service is not the same though most of the staff seems happy to be there. I know things can't stay the same forever but super bummed about this one. I guess I should just be grateful for the years we had with the original.
