We went with high hopes. The prices are very reasonable. The buffalo chicken tenders were delicious. We ordered a cheese pizza. Undercooked. I am heating up leftover slices now. Much better. . The sauce was very good on the pizza. The crust was tasty. Plenty of cheese. Just needs longer time in the oven. We also ordered a small sausage. My husband really liked the sausage. I wasn't a fan. We all agreed the pizza needed more time. They have Foxon Park soda which we love. Great pour of wine. Will go back again. We will ask for the pizza to be cooked longer next time.

I don't know why we never tried this place before, but it was great! Looks like they do a steady take out business, but we were there to dine in. It such a cute atmosphere being in the train car and right next to the tracks so you see the trains go by! Now on to the food. I was really curious about one of the side so we got it as an app. We got the broccoli rabe and sausage which was really good! Sausage was flavorful and the broccoli rabe balanced the sausage nicely. Forgot to get the pic! We ate it too fast! Then we got pizza, one cheese & one caramelized onions and bacon ( white not red) pizzas were yummy!! I think we really loved the thin crust! It was not chewy or burnt but just perfect!

Pizza isn't the same after a few year's like Pepe's brilliant pizza but I still recommend this place to many people out there looking for amazing pizza.!!! Although the pizza can be burnt on some edges but overall 8/10. Even though there friendly and kind and good service.

The pizza isn't Pepe's but it's the same style...just a bit less burnt on the crust. The seafood is awesome, as are the lobster (medium size only, bring a friend). The personal size pizza is enough to feed a super hungry person...if you're not ravenous it might be a bit much. The restaurant itself is an old Philly subway car but has some old NYC Transit ads...as a transit geek, this bothers me. The interior could use a remodel as it's looking a bit worn but it is by no means dirty as some imply. When the Springfield line (tracks outside) is running normally...there's usually something to see...be it Amtrak or a Connecticut Southern freight...currently due to construction related to Hartford line commuter service, train traffic is limited. It's a shame I didn't come here more often before I moved to New York.

Very tasty pizza, thin crust, had the veggie which had a very good variety of fresh veggies on it. Could have used garlic and little more sauce, but honestly it was very good. Interesting setting in an old rail car,... nice friendly waitress.

I'm going to skip past all my typical narrative about the restaurant ambiance, this is pizza, and…read morethe pizza is amazing!!! If you like New Haven style pizza, which is arguably the 'esemplare' of all pizza, then visiting The Little Rendezvous is a MUST visit if you live within 90-min. Plan a trip to visit some store you want to go to, a beach visit or whatever, just find a way to circle The Little Rendezvous into the trip! The crust is thin with a crackery-crunch, the sauce is at a another level and the mozz and roni are high-quality deliciousness! Rendezvous stands tall with any of the well known top-3 pizza joints in New Haven. Dave's score of 9.1 (if you are unaware of the reference, then pizza isn't your thing) is right on point, and I'd go as far as scoring it slightly higher at a 9.2 based on my visit. The building is something out of folklore. The building is all of about 20ft. wide, and when you enter, it is immediate, Steve (owner/chef) is all about the pizza. To be clear, most will consider Rendezvous to be take-out only. There is zero decor, less signs made with cardboard and sharpie notifying you that wait times of hours are real..... so be sure to call ahead. You walk past the most basic seating area of 3-4 small tables with bare walls, and then proceed to walk down an oddly long and narrow sloping hallway which leads you to the service counter/kitchen which houses the 130-year old oven! It's honestly something you could only imagine out of a movie...... the hole in the wall that is creating high-quality, delicious pizzas! Why or how you ask? The answer is simple, Steve! The guy clearly has a passion for making pizza and has dedicated his life to doing so. I met the 'man-the myth-the legend' on my visit, and he kindly even took the time to chat with me. Bucket-list item checked off! Overall score = 5.0!!!

We arrived early on, what I thought was off hours and ordered in person, the wait time was 4 hours. I don't live far so it was easy to come back. The dining area is tight and pretty basic, so plan on wooden bench in limited space if you are dining in. I would also recommend calling way in advance with your order. As far as pizza goes, I have had the opportunity to sample most of the high profile places and understand why this place deserves to be on the list. The crust is pretty fantastic and overall a really good pie. When we went, there was no line. The grab and go was super simple, cash only. Order ahead, plan accordingly, and enjoy.

I ordered a large cheese pizza, and it has to be one of the best I've had in a long time. The crust was perfectly crispy with just the right amount of char, not greasy at all, and every bite was packed with flavor. You can really tell they use quality ingredients and put care into every pie they make. It's that kind of pizza where you immediately know you'll be thinking about it later. Honestly, I wish my wife and kids were here to try it with me--they would've loved it. I'm from California, and I can say I haven't had many pizzas back home that compare to this. It's that good. In fact, I ended up coming back a second time before heading home because I just couldn't pass up another chance to have it again. That alone should say everything. On top of the amazing pizza, the employees were friendly and welcoming, and you can tell it's a family-owned business that takes pride in what they do. That kind of atmosphere makes the experience even better. If you're anywhere near the area, I highly recommend stopping by Fuoco Apizza. Whether you heard about it from Barstool or not, it absolutely lives up to the hype. You won't be disappointed.
