Stopped in for lunch last Saturday while staying in the area for a wedding. Our server (totally forgot his name.. There was a wedding Saturday night, after all) was excellent. Very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Even saved me a fight with the wife on the way back to the hotel by making sure he mentioned the spices that coat the fries.. She's allergic to seasoned fries & he went out of his way to make sure we knew that. She ordered them without seasoning & they were good. Wife had a chicken wrap & I had the pesto pasta. Food was much better than standard bar fare. Atmosphere was excellent.. If we get down there again I'd really like to check out their Saturday Night Dance Party! Definitely recommended! They do have a nice patio with outdoor seating & a decent craft beer selection. read more

This is our second time in 2 weeks and we LOVE IT! ABSOLUTELY amazing service by Jenny. She was super friendly to both me and my kids! She made sure the kids were happy and she was soo amazing! Attentive, quick and so friendly! The food was delicious. The sliders were cooked to a perfect medium. We had the nachos witg steak and they were delicious and I really appreciate that the chicken tenders that the kids ordered were freshly madeand not just from a package. Super clean and spacious. We are going to be regulars here for sure and I'm so excited that we gave this place a try. Also fantastic beer and food specials every. Definitely worth checking out! read more

Anthony's is very hit or miss. I've had good and bad experiences on the food and service. I only go now during the day for lunch, and when the outdoor bar/patio is open. Nice to have a drink and lunch out there, but not when it's busy. Seems like the food/Service is bad when it's crowded. The basic food is fine. Pizza, burgers, fries, and salads. Don't get any food that's on special or big main courses. Definitely disappointed with the quality. But if you're looking for a late night place to drink, dance, and feel 21 again, you would enjoy that part. read more

Anthony's is a decent bar and grill if you are looking for a sports themed place because there are TV's everywhere so you won't miss a beat. I have been coming here for the last few months, mostly on Thursdays when they have their $6 burger special and $2 bottled domestics. The reason I am rating 3 stars is for two reasons: 1. When you get a burger, for some reason you cannot take anything off. What I mean by this is that you cannot order it with "no lettuce" or "no tomatoes". They do zero substitutions, so if you're like me and just want it plain, you are basically throwing away a small side salad. My biggest concern with this is that if someone is allergic to any of these items, they are pretty much screwed. 2. The service. It seems to be a constant hit or miss when it comes to the kind of service you receive here; there is almost never any consistency. One day you can have a waitress that is very attentive and helpful, and the next you can have one that never checks on the table (refills for example) and gives you attitude when you ask for something and proceeds to ask the entire table if they need anything else before she walks over there because it would be such a bother for her to walk another 20 feet. I simply don't understand it. Overall anthony's is great for a quick burger, but that's about it. I wouldn't recommend big groups coming here either, the owner likes to watch them like a hawk for no reason. read more

When I'm a established Tattoo artist that owns one of the best tattoo studios in the Northwest Suburbs . They wouldn't let me in due to there tattoo policy , funny they take my money in the daytime but when I want to enjoy a drink with my wife I get REFUSED ! They stereotype individuals when a man or woman with no tattoos can be a horrible individual as well . I felt like trash when they wouldn't let me in with my wife. Delicious food, great atmosphere, good service, and decent prices! I got the Cowboy burger with tots, and it was delicious!! Cooked perfectly& so much flavor. Hubby got a chicken club sandwich and he was raving about it. Our friends got the philly sandwich & fish tacos- both looked amazing. FYI- the fish on the tacos is grilled, not battered. That took our friend for a surprise, but he enjoyed it. The only thing odd was that the owner was in the back bar drinking and talking with friends. You'd think being the owner he'd be running around making sure everything is running smoothly, and not drinking booze at the bar. The back bar area is nice! My boyfriend and I are traveling across the country and decided to stay in Joliet. Based on the reviews from Yelp we decided to pick here to eat. My boyfriend and I split everything. We got the southwestern flat bread which I wasn't impressed with. I ate maybe 2 pieces he finished. We got cowboy burger and a chicken sandwich ( I forget the name) both of which. We're great! The fries were over seasoned but the sweet potato fries were great! The only downfall was the service. Our server was extremely slow and it took forever to take our check. A few of us (10) went for Sunday Funday and talk about lousy service. They had 2 bartenders that were less then friendly and accommodating. We had to track them down and yell out for drinks and to be greeted as if they could care less. Tried for an hour to get a menu as we were ignored. We will never step foot in there again. Manager was told and we seen him talking to one of the bartenders and they were giggling. Very unprofessional. If your bartenders cannot have a smile and be gracious replace them with ones who do. Decided to try this place out on my own. It was about 9pm on a Wednesday and pretty slow. A really nice atmosphere, very Irish pub feel, which must be the restaurant side. I went exploring and found a set of double doors in the back of the restaurant there is a second bar which is more of a sports bar feel with pool tables and casino games. I went solo that night and was enjoying a drink while writing. My bartender Missy was excellent, extremely personable and welcoming. Throughout the remainder of the evening I had become acquainted with the staff and management who were all fun, energetic, and friendly. Our fourth visit demonstrated consistency in food, atmosphere, and staff. Each time we've come for dinner we are completely delighted in the quality, portion size and most importantly, the flavor. We have yet to have a negative experience. The staff has the appropriate level of attentiveness and great personality. On our most recent visit, we were fortunate enough to have Ashley help us. This was my favorite place to go in Joliet and I understand there was a shooting, but this is the THIRD time I've left after standing outside for 30 minutes while the door guys let in their friends, numerous people leave the bar and no one from the line is let inside, if any patron asks questions they're disrespected or told to leave the line if they don't like waiting. Thirty minutes and three people were let inside, while 7 people, including myself, left. This isn't a nightclub in Chicago, and if it was people who were coming to spend money and tip your staff, would be treated with much more respect. Ok so my review on this place is rather complicated. The food is average so don't go in expecting something special. The drinks are the best so beware that these are real bar tenders and are not taking any short cuts on making you a real drink. Anthony's has the fights so this is a great place to hang with friends on fight night and sport events. The music is fantastic and they have lots of security to keep the crowd under control. The door man is rude and refused to let me in because "I had no sleeves on my shirt" meanwhile there are women walking around in spaghetti straps and I pointed it out to him and he the proceeds to tell me because they are women its okay and then adds icing on the cake and says since I mentioned it to him he is refusing to let me in now! I went back to my car and threw on a shirt and then finally get in and the bartender is rude as hell and rolls her eyes when I order my drink. The scene is fantastic. The food is outstanding. I've been here on three different occasions and, on two of them, I had a meal. It hasn't disappointed. The third time was for the Mayweather-Pacquaio fight and it was jam packed. I wasn't able to get food, but that's ok, since I should've known better. The only gripe I have is that, on such a jam packed night, I disagree with the bartender taking shots while there are customers waiting to be serviced and, in our case, having a tab closed out. I think it's unprofessional as it is, but even moreso on such a busy night. Overall, it's 5 star quality. read more

I stopped here the other day while out with my husband for a cocktail. It was busy since it was a Friday night and the Chicago Blackhawks were on, Go Blackhawks!!! There was tons of seating available despite the large crowd. The place is huge like a quarter of a warehouse huge! It's a sports bar, so it's not a place for a quite evening so keep that in mind. We decided to sit at the bar because of the game. The bartender was super nice and gave us a drink menu and some food menus (huge selection of everything you could ever want) she explained any question we may have had ahead of time. We ended up getting buffalo wings and a pizza the wings were great, I would give the pizza a seven it was really good and everyone has different ideas in what there pizza should taste like. I just thought the sauce needed more flavor but I am Sicilian so it takes some real talent in the sauce department to impress me. I would definitely go back and I hope you decide to try it.
