Another 3 way! Was in the area and decide to give this place a try. They open earlier than some of the other roast beef shops in the area. I Was greeted right away as I walked in. Ordered my sandwich and took a seat. Food came out pretty quick. The meat was tender, bun was toasted and buttery. Have extra napkins ready, it's always messy eating one of these but oh so good.

Roast beef and a sub, 37.00 Unfortunately, I ordered takeout when I got home. This is what I had one big messy roast beef sandwich with a burnt bun and I don't know what the sub is like. I'm pretty sure the person sneezed over my food when they were packing but I was not sure enough to say some . I was across the room so I know they didn't wash their hands or anything. Too bad because it seems like the food is fresh but there's no quality control.

    Super beef, three way.

Roast beef was so good. Sloppy, just the way I like it. Bread is crispier if you eat it there, but it's great either way. Took off a star because it's pretty pricey.

    Didn't make up the prices.

Polite staff and attentive. Overpriced for sure. I turned my head when I was told the total. Cheeseburger and fries for a six year old and a steak n' cheese sub, soda. Almost $40 my son said cheeseburger was good...he didn't finish it - it's an adult burger. The roll for the steak n'cheese was not toasted instead it was soggy.

One of the best "beeferies" around. Don't believe me, try it, ask a North Shore Beefer, or just go there. I have converted my family from the lame gray beef from they grew up on at the drive thru joints to what a real roast beef is. Anthony's beef is flavorful, served right on toasted bun, and cheese on the bottom. I go with James River and horseradish, I love horseradish. The fries are great and stay home. The waffles fries are amazing too.

Roast beef was spot on. Onion roll was perfectly grilled , the beef was a perfect pink and the portions were huge. Service was right on as well. This place deserves 5 stars all around

Lrg Steak n Cheese calzone w/extra cheese...yeah, do it!

BUYER BEWARE!!! If you love steak and cheese subs and really hungry? Or can eat for 10, order the large steak and steak and cheese calzone! We get extra cheese (cuz that's what you do with a steak and cheese), but this thing is huge(insert Michael Scott pun here)!! Awesome belly buster of a calzone! Thanks, guys!

Love the 1/2 price calzones on Monday's & 1/2 price pizzas on Tuesday! They have definitely come handy when we don't have a planned dinner.

My family orders from Anthony's every week. We love their pizza and calzones. My 2.5 year old son will only eat pizza from Anthony's.

My wife and I made a reservation for a Saturday night and upon arrival were seated immediately. To…read morestart, we ordered a perfectly cooked octopus antipasti, followed by tortellini alla norcina, and for a secondi the vitello alla petroniana (we were debating between this pasta/secondi combination and the pasta bolognese/swordfish special - will have to come back to get these next time!). I don't typically eat veal, and this cutlet was perfectly balanced - rich, savory, crispy, with a pleasant (but not overwhelming) salty kick from the prosciutto and parmigiano reggiano. We also ordered the spicy broccolini, which I highly recommend for the garlic lovers out there. For dessert we had the dark cherry (amarena?) gelato, which was delicious and creamy, with the perfect amount of sweetness. We shared each dish, and it was certainly plenty of food for the two of us. Prices felt reasonable for the amount and quality of what we ordered (all of the above + 2 drinks from the bar totaled approx. $160 pre-tip). The restaurant space itself is relatively small but has enough space to move around comfortably, which made it cozy without ever getting too loud (it was a pretty full house when we went), with a balanced dim lighting. Additionally, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, and the server patiently walked us through the menu and shared suggestions at our request. On a personal note I am especially appreciative of the staff, as I accidentally left without my hat, and the restaurant responded almost immediately to the message I sent through the restaurant website that same evening. Tl;dr - great menu, rich & hearty but balanced ingredients/recipes, and comfortable vibe. One really gets the impression that the husband/wife owners had a specific vision that they successfully brought into reality.

The atmosphere is cozy and intimate, so it's a great place for date night. The Fantastic: 1. Service -- our waiter was amazing, he took great care of us. We wanted for nothing! 2. Tortellini Alla Norcina -- this was delish. It was creamy, a little funky, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. 3. Cacio e Pepe -- also delish. 4. Mussels -- perfectly cooked, big and plump, and the bread to sop up the broth was also yummy. The plates are beautiful, but I think that plating and presentation takes priority over the food sometimes: 1. Bruschetta -- this was supposed to come with a balsamic drizzle, but it was served on a wooden plate and the drizzle was tiny and thin, so there wasn't really any balsamic. The dish could have used it to help cut through the cheese. 2. Bombolone -- dry, there was not a lot of custard in the pastry, and the surrounding sauces were more decorative than helpful. We did not enjoy the mixed drinks, they were all on the sour side and watery. So I would stick with wine or beer, the wine we had was excellent. Overall, we had a really nice time and would return.

Especially the home made biscuits. These were amazing. Hot, flaky, very much home made with a maple butter that is sinful. Entrees were mushroom tortellini and eggplant parm. Both portions were large and delicious. Very classic red sauce restaurant. For dessert it was limoncello cake and tiramisu. Both, light and tasty. If you want to stay local and have good Italian food, with a very nice ambiance, then this is the place. FYI -- park behind the building, there's plenty of free space and take the elevator up. And do make a reservation.

We started our evening in the outdoor dining area as the main dining room is a bit loud and it was a beautiful warm evening with the sun starting to set as we arrived. We salivated over the drinks menu but decided not to imbibe and save our use of calories for later. We started with the Stuffed Mushrooms, which were 5 large mushroom caps stuffed with a meatball like stuffing. They were really yummy and somehow escaped into our bellies before I could get a picture. Whoops. For entrees, we ordered the Pasta Louise (penne with chicken, artichoke hearts, and more n a creamy sauce) and Steak Pasta (penne with thin slices of steak, feta, and a light dressing). Both were delicious. The Pasta Louise is popular for a good reason - it is full of flavor and definitely worth ordering again! The steak pasta was good with a much milder flavor profile. The ingredients for everything tasted fresh. The only disappointment was the bread and butter which was a white scali-style bread with little plastic butter packets; I prefer dipping olive oil and spices with a heartier bread. The service was prompt, personal, and friendly. The main indoor space is a bit loud for my taste, so I will prefer to go again when I know I can sit at one of the pleasant outdoor tables. Of the many Italian restaurants in the area, this has been here for decades with good reason - they have a solid business. Enjoy!
