The only reason I would deduct a star is because they don't have a location in SLC which I am BEGGING them to do. Italian food is generally out of the question for me because I can't have gluten, but when visiting Moab we found Antica Forma which offers gluten free pizza (that's not made out of cauliflower thank god). I had to double check when they initially brought out my pizza because it looked like everyone else's, basically too good to be true. Not the best pizza I've ever had, but it was definitely a solid pizza with pretty good flavors. The shrimp portion was also pretty good. This is genuine Naples style pizza. From the fermented dough to the round Italian oven, you are getting an amazing pie. Sauce and toppings matched the crust for flavor and quality. With such promising reviews and photos, I was looking forward to a good meal here in Moab after a long day of hiking. But things were already not looking good the moment we stepped in... empty restaurant around 5:30pm, yet no one greeted us and we stood for at least 5 mins while they chatted away. Once we got seated, the waitress came with the water but somehow dropped one the glasses and completely shattered it, water spilling everywhere. She clearly didn't know what to do and didn't even address us until another server apologized and asked us to move tables. We ordered a spring salad and as you can see from the photos it's not thoroughly washed - what is this rotten stuff?! The pizza was burned on the bottom... you have a brick oven.. what's going on here?!? I didn't think you could go wrong with pizza but this was surely a disappointment. Came here for dinner when we were in town earlier this year. Apparently, the owner of this place used to work at Kesté in NYC, which I am quite fond of, so I figured this place would be good as well. The restaurant itself is pretty large and their menu is fairly large. We shared an order of their caprese appetizer and we all got our own personal pies. I chose the piccante pie, which was really tasty. Service was prompt, the food came out quickly, and we were all really pleased with our respective choices. This was a decent meal. Might've been the best meal I had all week in Moab, but that speaks more to the lack of truly good food options in Moab more than the quality of the food. I got the cheesy garlic bread, Caesar salad, and clam linguine. The garlic bread was alright but both my salad and clams pasta came with bread so it was probably unnecessary. I would not order the Caesar salad again, they only had one size and for $8 it was a small salad with stale croutons and generic plain tasting dressing. The romaine also wasn't that fresh, you could see some browning edges. It was a waste of $8 and pretty disappointing. The clam linguine was loaded with clams so that was good. They also poured a bunch of chopped up canned clams on top, probably could've done with less of those as it took away from the actual fresh clams. They gave a decent portion of fresh in shell clams, and they were good. The noodles were fine. If I were to go back, I think I would try the pizza, I was just really craving clams at the time and it was a solid choice. Service was okay. There were a lot of flies flying around inside the restaurant, I could only imagine what it was like inside their kitchen. There's no waiting area and the people at the front need better customer service and more organized check in process. I will preface this review by saying they were quite busy the night I tried their food. I ordered a prosciutto pizza and salad for takeout. The host took my order and was pleasant. She told me the food would be ready in 10-15 minutes, but it was more like 20. I don't mind waiting for freshly prepared food, but the pizza was barely warm. The cheese was somewhat melted but I think it was all held back by the large amounts of arugula on top. I'm all for greens on a pizza, but it has to be executed right. The greeting at the door was odd and unfriendly. It was borderline rude some of the comments the hostess made. The staff was not attentive. We were greeted by our waitress about 30 minutes into sitting at our table. The poor bartender would make drinks behind the bar and literally run to the tables with the drinks. A great wood fire pizza and pasta joint hidden away in Moab, UT. My fiancé and I went on Father's Day Sunday and the place was packed with travelers at dinner time. However, we hardly waited at all. The only wait we had was the line to talk to the hostess. Once we talked to the hostess we were seated right away. We ordered the burrata that is made daily, a Margherita pizza and a marinara pizza. The burrata was a huge portion for only $14 and came with ripe tomatoes, balsamic and bread so you could eat your burrata your way. The pizzas were both excellent and two pizzas were enough for two people. The wood fire made the pizza perfectly done with a soft yet crisp bite. You can see them making the wood fire pizzas right from your table.
