I came here on a work trip to Saugus recently. The group I was working with suggested something local before we went out to Boston the next day. I was just excited to go out to eat for the first time in MA. I was excited about the people I was going with, the food, the accents, everything. I think it is a really cute place. From the outside you don't really know what to expect, so I'm sure they have a lot of referral based consumers. I feel like if I was Italian I could have appreciated the decor even more, however I could not relate to anything from the paintings, lamps, lighting..etc. Which is fine, I like to learn new things about different cultures and revisit the "old world," from time to time. We were sat promptly, and it was a little busy for a Tuesday night. Our waiter was cute, but he didn't make any recommendations, explain the specials or the menu. It was a group of 7 women, and we were all talking so that's fine. The bread was a bit odd, not warm, there was some kind of mushroom on it. The basil oil they served it with was EXCELLENT, that's why I wish the bread was a little tastier. I had the three cheese ravioli which was terrific. The pasta was well done, the sauce could have been a little spicier, and the cheese was creamy. Everyone else's food looked good as well. Two of the girls had penne a la vodka, my only issue with that was too many large uncut vegetables on the plate. Overall though, I had a great time. We stayed past closing and they didn't have a problem. I would definitely come back here. It was cozy, the food was tasty and I felt like I could be more like myself rather than at some other really fancy dim-lit place. Grade A recommendation. read more

Ordered a small Cheese Pizza and my bf ordered the Chicken Parmigiana through Door Dash. While i understood that it would take some time to get it delivered, close to an hour, that was not the problem. What was a problem was that our food was on the expensive side, $49 and for the quantity we received, it was not worth it and my pizza was cold. This place is amazing. My friend wanted to go but didn't tell us much about it, only that it was Italian food. I'm glad he didn't. What an experience. ATMOSPHERE: so unique. I suspect that every time you go you will spit something new. You feel like you've been transported somewhere else I'm just not sure where. SERVICE: so pleasant. Our waitress was very attentive. I have driven past this restaurant for years without a thought. It was the exterior decorations that piqued my interest and finally drew me in. This restaurant is a gem. Inside the setting it's cozy, quaint and romantic. The atmosphere is lively. It's a busy place so definitely make a reservation. The food is fresh and authentic. They make their own pasta and it is delicious. I've had several dishes now and they've all been very good. The servers are friendly. And the drinks are tasty too! I give Antique Table 5 stars and highly recommend. read more

Antique Table is ok, but it's going to have to work a lot harder for 5 stars from me than apparently many of the other peeps here. Parking is a bummer, for one thing, with a tiny lot. Seating is cramped, and I think I'm glad it's always so dimly lit because the interior could sure use a little designing. It's loud. Service can be awkward, though generally friendly. However, on our most recent visit the older woman who ran our food was talking with her mouth full when she delivered our plates, which completely grossed me right out. I had ordered a squash (or sweet potato?) ravioli with a light cream sauce that turned out to be heavy and alfredo-y and not a good match for the homemade ravs, very disappointing really, and the boy's gnocchi seemed to have the exact same sauce. I don't know, I've tried this place a couple of times and I'm not in a big hurry to go back. read more

Antique Table is a perfect place for someone who adores the small cafes with unusual decors. This beautiful place offers Italian food. After exploring beaches in Lynn, we decided to explore nearby food joints. Since this one has a good rating on yelp so we decided to try it out. Friendly Staff welcomed us and told us about different pastas and Paninis they offer. Being a Pasta person, I ordered "Fettuccini Carbonara" which was delicious. We also ordered their "House Special "Panini. Staff was ready to convert their meat dishes to vegetarian dishes which gave us wide variety of options. Overall vibe of restaurant was really warm and antique. This place seems smaller for large groups so make sure you call if you are dining with larger group. I would definitely recommend this place. DO NOT DINE HERE ALOT HAS CHANGED. OWNERS AND STAFF VERY UNPROFESSIONAL NOW!! I Came here a couple of years back and was blown away by the hospitality and quality of the food but I guess the owners are either not around or don't need the money because Customer Service has flown out the window beginning with the bus boy at the door. I spoke to Anderson on Friday, Oct. 9 around 12pm to make reservations for a party of 14 ($$$). He explained to me that everyone would not be able to sit together due to the pandemic. However, he quickly clarified that he could do a table of 10 and 6 feet apart a table of 4 so everyone is somewhat sitting together. I called back 30 mins later since I've been there before and know that the restaurant is small to clarify again with Anderson that we would not be separated and would be sitting in the same row to which answered, "you guys will be will be fine. You will be in the same row 2 tables 6 feet apart." So we arrived Sunday, October 11 as planned at 2:15pm the restaurant was empty besides a party of 4 that was finishing up and paying. The bus boy asked how can I can help you, I replied, "I have a reservation and told him my families last name." He then pointed to the back (DID NOT WALK US TO THE TABLE) and said you guys are back there. I left my family in the front of the restaurant and went to go see the set up. There were 5 tables back there separated by plesi glass. So I came back to the front and said to the bus boy, "that's not the set up I discussed with Anderson." Instead of trying to make an attempt to accommodate, fix the tables, call/speak to his manager or the owner he quickly responded I've been instructed by my boss not to move any tables and not to make any changes due to the pandemic!! My response was, "I understand the regulations of the pandemic that's not my problem. My problem is in here with my whole family, it's my daughter's birthday and I spoke to Anderson twice on Friday and he said that he would be able to do sir us in the same row. Now I'm here and you are telling me you can not. If for some reason something changed and you could not set the tables up as we discussed someone could have called me, yes. As all of this was occurring a couple arrived and the bus boy quickly grabbed placemats, utensils and plates and nicely walked them to the table, something that he did not do for us, I guess because we were Hispanic and they were white!! So now the bus boy says let me get the owner on the phone and you can speak to him because I cannot do anything. The owner gets on the phone and is very defensive explaining that because of the pandemic he cannot do what we were asking. He was speaking over me and yelling I had to ask him numerous times excuse me can I speak. I explain to him that I spoke with Anderson twice on Friday and that he said he would be able to sit us in one row with two tables 6 feet apart. However, he was so busy explaining that he cannot accommodate so many people at one table because of the pandemic that he stopped listening to what I was saying. At this point I hung the phone up on him and decided to leave. I did not feel comfortable giving $$$ hundreds of dollars to a business that obviously is acting like they don't need it. I also understand the bus boys attitude in any business customer service starts from the top down if the owners act like that you cannot expect anything more from the rest of the staff. Truly it was upsetting and sad since I have family from out of town (NYC) that was looking forward to eating here. They were shocked at the treatment we received from the door (bus boy) and phone (owner). DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE NOT WORTH IT!! read more

I have been here a few times with my girlfriends and family. I always get the same thing every time b/c its so good I just can't help myself. Shrimp fra diavalo, $15-16, the sauce is some of the best I've ever had, just spicy enough that I dont have to add red pepper but not overkill. The focaaccia bread and dipping oil are delish. I've always sampled a little from everones dish and its all been good. Had shrimp grand marnier for an app, very good as well as the eggplant rollatini. The pasta is good perfectly and I have always had good service. Prices are very resonable for the quality of the food. Can't wait to go back! We walked into this place spur of the moment for a late dinner and it was incredible! The decor is different and eclectic but the food is amazing. I will certainly never eat at a chain Italian restaurant again! Food is served fresh, hot, and full of flavor. Portions are generous. We ordered the sangria and thought it was good, but probably a little pricey for what we got. I would say that their drink menu is a little pricier compared to food. The only downside to this place is that it gets incredibly busy. We've had great service half the time and only ok service the other half. There have been a few times where we're sititng in front of empty plates and water glasses waiting for service. If the service was a bit better I would definitely give this place 5 stars! read more

Had dinner and drinks here for the first time tonight, and I have to say we were thoroughly impressed. The restaurant is small a no cozy but didn't feel too cramped. The bread and oil dip the give you is absolutely amazing, I could have made a meal out of just that, but instead decided to crack open the menu. I ordered a caprese salad and the antique table fettuccine alfredo, they were both mouthwatering! The small restaurant filled up very quickly around 645 so I suggest getting there early to guarantee a table, although they do have a small bar that you can wait at and have a cocktail. I'm so glad this place was as good as friends have said, because I'm very excited to live so close that I can go back or get takeout anytime! read more

Finally a nice family style italian place on the North Shore, with reasonable prices! I had the chicken parm...ahhh so delicioius. And my date had the seafood special. He LITERALLY wiped the bowl clean of that incredible sauce. Then for dessert we split the cutest, tastiest little canoli with some sort of liquor "digestiv" with coffee beans in it. It complemented the canoli perfectly, though it was a little sweet. Maybe next time we'll order two canolis to help wash it down. :) Overall a delicious, romantic spot for two or even a small group. They do not take reservations for parties of two and got pretty busy by 7pm. The service was excellent. My favorite was the ambiance. After a glass of wine and a taste of their delicious bread you will be transported to a place far far away from the streets of Lynn/ Swampscott. Can't wait to go back! You'd never know from the outside what a gem Antique Table is. We've been several times since moving to Swampscott 4 years ago. They don't take reservations for parties of 2. Fortunately we were seated right away. Very busy. Printed on the menu: all food is made to order, and that takes time. Enjoy a glass of wine, an appetizer and enjoying good conversation (more or less). Good advice! We started with the fried calamari. Ample order and a tad bland. Didn't stop us from chowing down. I had the mushroom chicken risotto (yum!). He had the gnocchi. Looked good. Service was fine though she seemed like she had a lot on her mind. We just had dinner at The Antiques Table. It's cozy and always have had great service. The problem we encountered was that we love the wild mushroom and gnocchi dish... we asked if the mushrooms were really WILD mushrooms as the menu stated (because at a another location we ordered the same dish and they gave us only button mushrooms) Our server assured us it was. When we got our dish it was only button mushrooms. .. (That dish probably cost the house $3.00at most at $17.95 charge to customers). Just wish they were up front with their changes and told the server the truth. We understand it's a dish that makes the house good profit. But we wish they didn't cheapen a previously delicious dish. Leaves us as customers feeling disrespected... we love the food and service here. Of course we'll be back. But feeling disappointed. read more

Had been dying to come here for the longest time, drove by probably a million times and was always super curious about it. Recently i finally made it in and wasn't disappointed at all. I think my favorite thing about the restaurant is the decor/ambience. It is very quirky and cute and kind of reminds me of a three way cross between a hipster/dive bar, an upscale fancy restaurant and snow white's House. Honestly I'm not sure how to describe it or if that makes sense, but i loved it. The food was pretty good, big portions of Italian classics, fairly reasonably priced. We have been regular customers since this restaurant first opened and have introduced many people to it. As they expand to other cities, this facility has been ignored. Despite having left messages about broken seat backs, they are content to have local customers dine looking at broken chairs. Maybe Lynn is too "inner city" to deserve the new tables and chairs they are buying for the other restaurants! Last Friday my wife and I went for dinner. The manager who knows us and greeted us nicely said that there was only one table for 2 ahead of us. We waited at the bar. They were so understaffed that we couldn't even get a glass of wine at the bar - the few servers were running back and forth. the whole time we waited at the bar there was an empty table for 4. Maybe a reservation. After a second table for 4 opened up and we were not seated after ten additional minutes - now a full half hour - we walked out. We went to Salem and dined at another Italian restaurant (not the Salem Antique Table) and had a delightful meal with good wine for less than we typically spend at the Antique Table. If they don't care about the condition of the restaurant or long time customers, cleanliness is likely the next casualty. We won't be rushing back any time soon. Shame on them. read more

I've only ever had take out here, but it is fantastic, even reheated. Oil and focaccia bread are really good. We had eggplant rollatine and chicken saltimboca. Both great. I've had chicken parmesan along with eggplant parmesan, and chicken marsala, all were excellent as well.
