Colibri is the best antojitos in Reno/Sparks hands down! I had an elote with a recommended agua fresca of passionfruit. First sip and it's light and refreshing, you can tell they don't use artificial syrups just like how they say, you can tell with the flavors itself. My honey had the popular chamango and the mango was perfectly ripe and soft to bite into, Along with the sorbet and chile it was delicious!! The service was so helpful explaining all the things they have and how they're made. The guy who helped us had a bright and upbeat personality and their slogan "looks good, tastes better" really lives up to its name. I loved the colors and painting they had on the wall it was very welcoming. People were outside enjoying the sunshine and weather at the patio tables.
The staff here are beyond wonderful. The two ladies who prepped our treats were so friendly and happily answered any questions we had. The owner was a very kind gentleman too. The frozen fresas con crema was DIVINE & my partner's passionfruit, pineapple, and lime agua fresca was very refreshing. The seating area outside had ample tables and beautiful artwork surrounding us. I know where I'll be getting all of my summer treats from!
If you're in Reno and craving quality antojitos, stop by Colibri on Wells. I promise they serve everything, and they provide the freshest ingredients. You won't find better service, and every time I'm in the neighborhood, I stop in for my for a cool treat or just one of their amazing agua frescas. My kiddos and I will be back.
No better day than National Ice Cream Day to profess my love for this local business! Honestly not sure how I made it this long without writing this review because this is one special spot everyone needs to check out, especially now that they've been names #18 on Yelp's Top 100 Ice Cream Shops 2023! The difference here is they use fresh ingredients to make everything. Every syrup they use for the raspados start with fresh fruit, giving them the real flavor of it in the finished product and something not overly sweet. When it comes to ice cream, the case is stacked with 15 or so flavors of high quality ice cream. The corn for their elites and esquites is incredibly fresh and sweet, as is all the fruit from the mangoes to the coconuts! The ice cream on its own is good but it's even better when it tops one of their signature creations like a Fresada, which starts out as a strawberry raspado aka Mexican sno-cone/shave ice which gets topped with a scoop of creamy dreamy strawberry ice cream and chopped fresh strawberries too! You could also try a limonazo, which is a lime raspado with lime sherbet, super refreshing, or go classic with a banana split, waffle cone, or plain cup! The other major difference here is that this is a family owned and operated business that started as a dream, and with a lot of hard work and dedication, they've made it an absolute reality that now employs many people! They've grown from this single small location with a huge heart on wells Ave to now a food truck serving at the biggest events in town, and I know I'm watching to see what comes next!
I absolutely love this place! The owners are so nice & down to earth & this is my "I need a pick me up" place. Always puts me in a better mood no matter how my day has been. The 3 greens water is my absolute favorite, my husband likes the watermelon, piña, & mango one. Thank ya'll so much for being the pick me up I needed!

What an amazing hidden gem! :D My club at UNR (Gray for Glioblastoma) partner up with the owners at Antojitos Colibri for one of our fundraiser and it was a success! The drinks were pretty good, not too sweet and flavorful, especially the aqua fresca. The elotes were amazing and they were made to order. I haven't tried their ice cream, but I will definitely try it out the next time I'm here. What won me over was the service! The workers there were welcoming and friendly, especially when I ordered an elotes to-go and they went above and beyond to make sure it was packaged correctly.
I absolutely love Antojitos Colibri, they have never let me down. They have been so consistent throughout the many years that I have been a loyal customer. I always like to try antojito places, but I always compare them to Antojitos Colibri. They have everything that you would want from an antojito place and then some! Some of my favorites are the vanilla raspado, fresas con crema( both fresh and frozen. I think the frozen one is cute since it comes in the little carton), and the hot Cheetos esquite. They are also always friendly here! Never had a bad experience! I really enjoy the vanilla raspado here because it doesn't taste fake. There are some Antojito places that the vanilla flavor doesn't have that homemade taste but antojitos Colibri is not one of those places. It is so good! Something that I love from here is the esquite, especially the hot Cheetos version. Esquite is basically an elote in a cup! I think it is great here since the proportions are perfect. It is not overly mayo-y and it has the perfect creaminess. All od the flavors compliment each other without being too salty. It is the perfect snack. I also love that there is outdoor seating so I can enjoy my snacks with my pup right next to me. It makes for a perfect day!
My favorite Mexican snack place!! This place never disappoints! My go-to is the esquite (ask for it layered) and the agua de limón! They have ice cream, paletas, aguas frescas, tostilocos etc! The place is very clean and the staff always welcomes you with a genuine smile! Great things are in the works at this place and I cant wait to keep seeing them growing and expanding!
Been wanting to try this place for sometime and finally got around to it, ironically, during quarantine. They're a little out of the way for us but will be a regular stop for us once things are back to normal as they're location is pretty central to everything we usually visit. We had the super gaspacho with cheese, the fruit was right on point. The agua de tamarindo was a little too sour for my taste but still refreshing on a hot day. My favorite antojito of course is the esquite (corn, mayo, cheese) and while theirs wasn't bad, the corn was just a little too hard. read more

Stopped at fiesta on wells to check this place out. Venue is pretty small and it is easy to miss if you are not paying attention. Parking available in the back of venue or on side streets. Owners welcomes us in. We mentioned it was our first time there and they gave us a complimentary scoop of ice cream. The menu is vast; they have everything from fruit, ice creams, antojitos to smoothies. The most popular items are the diablitos and elotes. The diablito (little devil) are made up of lime shaved ice, freshly sliced mango, chamoy sauce (apricot jam, lime juice and chile peppers) and tajin. The elotes are mexican version of corn on the cob. It contains corn, mayo, grated cheese and tajin. We ordered elote, diablito, fresh mango and got to try the complimentary ice cream strawberry cheese cake and butter pecan. Everything was delicious and for a great price. We usually go in for their aguas frescas, which are delicious! Today, we decided to try their raspados and they were not great. It was very watered down, a couple of sips and we were left with just ice. They are always very nice to their customers, and the new thing we tried was not what we expected. read more
After spending several days trying to go to another antojitos/raspados place only to find it closed, I was excited that Antojitos Colibri was open! It's a tiny shop on Wells that you could drive right past if you're not paying attention. Upon walking in we were greeted by a friendly worker. There are lots of options ranging from raspados (shaved ice), aguas frescas, elotes, to your basic ice cream. We ordered fresas con crema (strawberries and cream) with natural strawberries (instead of frozen) and all the toppings (coconut, granola, sprinkles, M&M's and whipped cream). The item itself is nothing fancy but it was exactly what I wanted on a warm summer night. We also tried the Hot Cheetos Esquite basically elote in a cup with crushed hot Cheetos. So good! It had a well rounded flavor and both the corn and Cheetos weren't soggy. All the fun of elote without the mess! I usually wait until I've been to a place a couple times to rate on consistency and to try more of the menu but I was really satisfied with my experience and hope this review encourages more people to stop by and give them a try! My wife wanted to eat something fresh, and boy did this place hit the spot! The owner's energy and pride shines through, and you can taste that in the quality of the food. Did I go here 3 days in a row this week? Why yes, yes I did! That's thanks in part to some out of town guests who loved their horchata and aguas frescas so much, they made me take them back the next two days and got large drinks (which are VERY large!)! I had coconut, pineapple coconut (you can mix flavors) and then pineapple. They were all refreshing and delicious and I love that they are made with real fruit! My friends are very sad to leave, mostly because they can't go here fir quite some time! read more

Such a great little hole in the wall spot for perfect ice cream, tons of flavors and fun shaved ice drinks with natural syrups! Workers are super chill and natural, explain the menu and everything very thoroughly without being intense about it. Perfect experience. Loved my double scoop of pistachio almond in a waffle cone! The pińa colada is amazing out of this world. We also had a agua fresca that was delicious. Agua de sandia, mango and piña. The staff is amazing. went over everything they had and recommended some items. You could taste the freshness in everything we tried. We sat outside on the patio to enjoy what we got . I have not been here in years and I'm glad I paid a visit. The guy that worked there was extremely helpful, showed me all of their different agua frescas, ice cream & other yummy snacks! I might have found my new favorite treat especially on a hot day! There's this thing in the menu called CHAMANGO.. its sweet, a little sour and a kick of heat. It has layers of shaved ice and mango sorbet with chuncks of fresh mangoes on top. I dont know what took me so long to try this but it is a winner! I have always loved coming to this place because they have the best agua frescas with lots of flavors to choose from and an option to combine flavors if you choose to! Some of our favorites are berry mint, strawberries and cream, watermelon and a new one they have is melon+carrot! They also have smoothies and all kinds of snacks on the menu. Elotes is a must try! Antojitos Colibri!! This hidden gem has some seriously great sweet treats. I walked in after lunch today, and the ladies working were super nice. They mentioned if it's your first time, you get a free scoop of ice cream. How cool is that? I ordered the chamango, and my friend got the strawberry smoothie. If you're a tajin fan, the chamango is loaded with tajin, sliced mangos, mango sorbet, and ice/syrup. This will be the spot to be during summer, I'm sure of it! read more

I came here for a yelp event and was greeted with the kindest two gals working the front. They waited while my mouth watered over all the delicious options and gave me recommendations. I ended up going with the strawberry and creme shaved ice as they recommended. Its the BEST ive ever had. ((Quick downside- i went back a couple weeks later and ordered the same thing. This time unfortunately the person who made it did something different. It looked and tasted different and not as good) They had a special going and i couldnt pass it up so i got a single (mind you MASSIVE) scoop of their rocky road ice cream. It was delicious ((Quick note the flavor was very rich so if thats not your favorite then maybe opt for a flavor but i personally loved it)) When youre driving by you might miss it but if you keep a look out for a logo youll see it. I have two very delicious words for you: AGUAS FRESCAS Ever since I lived in Phoenix for a few months, I have been obsessed with aguas frescas. There is nothing more refreshing than the sweet, juicy taste of an aqua fresca on a hot day, or when you want something to sip on, or really at any time. They are pretty sweet don't get me wrong, but it's better than soda. It's not a syrupy sweet and it doesn't leave that weird coating in your mouth. So since I moved to Reno I have been on the HUNT for aguas frescas for when I need a fix, and I had not been satisfied until I came to Antojitos Colibri. I came to try to the raspado actually, and when I saw they had aguas frescas too I wasn't leaving without one. I got a mixture of prickly pear and coconut, and it was everything I ever wanted. They had all the classics too, mango, tamarind, horchata, etc., but I was feeling adventurous. The raspado was delicious as well, it's similar to a slushee but with fruit flavors. I got tamarindo because I am a sucker for the spice. I loved the little hint of spice/sweet tamarind sprinkle that was on the top. AND since it was my first time visiting I got a free scoop of gelato! They have tons of options, the mango was so smooth with a perfect flavor. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other treats that they offer. This is a hidden gem, truly is if you blink as you're driving by you might miss it. However once you know where it is you'll keep coming back and will want to try everything on the menu! You can find street corn, aguas frescas (fresh flavored water) like Horchata, Strawberry, lime and so much more. They also have shaved iced with multiple flavors. Ice cream and other sweet delights and different variety of cut up fruit. They do get busy so it's best to call in your order. Due to COVID-19 it does take more time than usual but it will be worth the wait. You'll really want to try everything and anything refreshing. Omg this a hidden gem if you are looking for Elotes, ice cream, smoothies, gazpacho, etc I'm going to include menu photos. I found this by accident and so happy I did. Super Gazpacho is diced watermelon, cucumbers, mango, pineapple, jicama, fresh squeezed orange juice, squeeze of lime, takin seasoning, and Cotija cheese...it is the bomb for 6 bucks you are in heaven with all these flavors plus they ask if you want some of this kinda sweet syrup before fruit is added so the layer a little on the plastic cup! All I can say that my taste buds were in a different and spectacular place! The ice cream looks fresh and he was making a couple smoothies for customer so I was able to snap some pics! Yummmm is all I say! My next visit I'll order the Super Gazpacho again but I'll want to try the Elote...when you walk in you can smell that corn! I unfortunately had errands so couldn't have! This is honestly one of the best experiences i've had here in reno, i ordered an esquite and aqua de sandia and most places the sandia is so overpowering but this one was perfect. Their drinks are so fresh and they make their own syrups from scratch so it really is fresh and you can seriously taste it. My friend had gotten a chamango and i tried it and loved it so much i ordered myself one to take home. Hit the spot oh my good. if i could give them more than 5 starts i could. they are also so friendly and so sweet. this is genuinely going to be my new spot to take my friends and the prices are so reasonable for the amount you are getting. 10/10 i'm in love with this place already read more
