I got spaghetti and meatballs and meatballs were a good size very tasty loved the marinara sauce

Off the beaten pathway of Spring Hill -- one block from Main Street AKA U.S. 31 -- this recent discovery by my family was very surprising & encouraging. Take out orders only (a few picnic tables sit next to the small building under patio lights) since the footprint is too small for indoor seating. Our pizza was very good. We called ahead for the order & they called us back to let us know it was ready before we even arrived! The menu is pretty extensive including cold deli sandwiches, soups, salads and of course a slew of hot Italian faves. Open seven days a week. Lunch specials are from 11-3 each day w/ several entrees under ten bucks. Located on School Street about 150 yards South of the old & former Spring Hill High School (now filled with shops) -- you can make out the distinctive outline of an old high school's gymnasium right next door to the restaurant. Ambiance and decor is very simple and clean -- the small entrance area of the venue has room for a couple of refrigerators with grab and go drinks and the four foot checkout counter. This is the best authentic Italian we've had in quite awhile. Moved here last year and finally tried this GEM. We loved the Lasagna! My husband said best he's ever had, and we are from Chicago so that's saying a lot! The meatballs were also delicious! For a treat we tried the Tiramisu - wow fantastic !! So light and flavorful! Some of the best Italian in the area. Antonuccis offers very authentic delicious Italian food that comes in good portion sizes with amazing fresh bread. The service is always good but make sure to order ahead so you can avoid the wait of 45 minutes as they freshly make the pizza or pasta. My little family stopped in for a late lunch and were greeted by the staff with kind conversation. We admire family run business' and this restaurant sure fit that bill. The spaghetti was excellent, and the pizza was the "cherry" on top. Highly recommend this place to anyone in the area! read more

The food was beyond good! My aunt by marriage was an Italian immigrant so I know Italian food! This is the real deal, folks! The service was swift, polite and very accommodating. From beginning to end, excellent experience. The signage was the entire reason we went inside and we are SO glad we did. You walk in to the counter and order there. You can sit outside if it's nice, and there is 1 table inside. The atmosphere was welcoming and warm and the people were really nice. The owner was there and he and his staff gave excellent suggestions for what to get. He even threw in an order of garlic bread when he realized it was our first time in knowing we would be back. He was right. Everything we ordered was excellent. We got a large sausage and pepperoni pizza, which was hand tossed and the dough was great, the flavors were perfect. The wedge salad was massive, the garlic bread was fresh and delicious. I got the penne a la vodka with chicken and it's by far the best I've ever gotten. We also got a side of meatballs in marinara which my husband devoured immediately haha! The meatballs were super tender and delicious and the sauce was fantastic!! If you're looking for amazing, authentic Italian food...here it is! The food and service are 2nd to none! There's no indoor seating, but there are some picnic tables outside, so plan accordingly. Antonucci's is good place for take out Italian. The staff was friendly and the owner was there to welcome us and chat a bit. The food quality was good, presented well and had good flavor. I LOVED the pasta sauce but the noodles were a bit too done for me. The meatballs are HUGE and had good flavor ... but nothing exceptional. The pizza was good, just not my favorite as I tend to like thin wood fired. It had tons of cheese. I could've done without so much cheese and instead had more quantity of the toppings I chose. I want this place to succeed so I hope they will continue to perfecting their menu. read more
