Since moving here from Philly, I've been in search of a good threader. The place in the Beverly center is just meh - rushed and etc. I decided to research the place down the street from the Bev center and I heard about Anu - which is about a 5 minute drive from the Bev center. Anu is wonderful, super nice and is very detailed. She also gives you a card that if you come in X # of times your next time is free. I've forgotten my card a couple of times and the next time I come in she remembers to punch my card for the previous visit. I highly recommend! read more

It isn't easy to do men's brows and have them look completely natural yet very well structured at the same time. Anu is the BEST in the business. I've tried threading artists all over town and when I found her at her previous studio it was love at first threading. Then she opened her own adorable little place even closer to me and I'm in heaven! I have been to this salon maybe three times. The last time I went I told the lady working there to thread my eyebrows just to " clean them ". I told her three times to be careful I just want them cleaned, I don't have much hair to thread. She told me ok and began to thread. After finishing my right eyebrow she handed me a mirror. MY RIGHT EYEBROW WAS A THIN LINE!!! She took off ALL of the growth and literally left a thin line. I am so humiliated I can't even post a picture on this review. Unfortunately the employee did not understand what was wrong until another employee came to apologize to me. The second employee did a decent job on the left eyebrow, but what good does that do when my right eyebrow looks like a 1990s penciled in line. I am really not a picky girl, but this was the most idiotic thing I have ever experienced. I now have to pencil my eyebrows in every day to cover up this woman's mistake. The best part is the second lady said that the First Lady misunderstood me. I asked her how can she misunderstand when I reiterate the same fact that I don't want my eyebrows over threaded, then I asked her when her eyebrows look thick, why would she think that anybody wants a thin line as their eyebrow. I'm giving two stars because they actually apologized to me. read more

I was a longtime client of Anu's when she was at Vinita's on La Cienega. I was so upset when I went there one day and she was gone! Thank goodness for Yelp because I found her again (now with her own shop... yay!) and she is so much better than the threaders who took her place at Vinita's. I'm a person that is very careful on who touches my face, especially eye brows because once it gets messed up, u have to wait a whillleeeeee until it grows back, but after doing it at Anu, I'm really amazed!! :) She doesn't press the thread so hard down onto your skin and is very gentle having a steady hand. I remember when I broke out, she knew how to go over my facial hair without having me to break out some more. She does a clean job and she is the best at her work. I am looking forward to go to her again. She's really friendly and has a lot of patients for her customers. I highly recommend you giving a try, her price is VERY reasonable compared to other places. So...the salty staff at Vinita's lied to me when Anu left. They actually told me Anu went back home to her country. That is so shady. My favorite threading place in LA! $10 for brows. I've gotten some amazinggg brows here (see: my wedding photos) and some meh times (on my most recent visit, one brow was curved and one brow was a bit more angular, although my two brows are slightly different naturally). Anu, (pronounced AH-nu) understands eyebrows like no one else I've been to. My brows grow in every direction imagineable and get pretty rowdy. Ive had other threaders spend 15+minutes on my face caterpillars just to find a shape. Anu took 5 minutes and did some final touch trimming and suddenly i had beautiful, angular eyebrows. She's fast, gentle, super sweet, and understands good customer service. Go on a weekend morning for easy parking. read more

Anu is very kind and has incredible threading technique - she ensures that every hair is removed (instead of just broken off). She also offers waxing services, which is a plus. I am never going here again! I had the worst experience ever, and would not recommend anyone to get their eyebrows or face threaded here. I called and made an appointment in advance to make sure Anu would do my threading. There was no wait when I arrived, and now I know it's because they are not good. Anu did not end up doing my threading, even though I requested her, and she sent a girl who seemed unexperienced. Even worse, she had quite an attitude while she was threading. When I asked her to thread more and remove more hair, she was angry and said I should've told her before she started. She was in a big rush, even though no one was waiting. They don't care about quality, or having good customer service. The chair was uncomfortable and when I asked for a pillow, she just laughed at me. The absolute worst part came when she charged me 35$ for full face threading, when they didn't even touch my eyebrows. I've been going to a much cleaner and better quality salon that only charges $15 for full face plus eyebrow shaping. The price was ridiculous. I'm glad I didn't trust them with my brows. I will not be going here again, and am disappointed in their lack of respect and care for their overpaying customers. read more
