finally got to check out Anvi's Cafe for their soft opening weekend! the inside has such a cute cozy vibe that's awesome for studying or just simply dining. the food and drinks came out fast and the servers were really attentive and sweet. i got the shaken beef with garlic noodles and the portion size is a good deal for only $20! also my bf and i tried their handcrafted drinks. he got the ca phe sua da (vietnamese coffee) for $5 and he really liked it! and i got the peach oolong less sweet for $4 and honestly its my go to here its soooooo good!! since we were the first 50 of the day we also got free tote bags and theyre so cute!!! will definitely be coming back to eat and drink

Wilted old veggies given for my Pho

Very cute concept and adorable decor, though the food and drinks are extremely lackluster. The veggies given with the pho were wilted and old. The pho itself was pretty decent. The Baja mango blast was extremely bland and had no flavor to it. The mango chunks were too thick to go through the boba straw (which I had to ask for because they didn't default to give me one) Spring rolls were so sad and fell apart the moment I picked them up. Fried rice was decent and nothing amazing. Overall I'd give this place a 2/5 but will lean to a 3/5 just because they're in soft opening.

I came to Anvi's during the weekend at around noon. It wasn't particularly packed in there, about 4 groups of people inside that were eating pho. I hate to be the person to knock the rating on their reviews, but I had waited in line for 15 minutes and then I waited for 30 minutes after ordering for one singular latte. No it wasn't sitting in the back or on the shelf and it wasn't due to myself not asking for it. It genuinely wasn't ready. One latte. I get it, they had numerous signs up saying they were understaffed, and that they are in the process of transitioning, but at some point we all get past our waiting point. You could tell that everyone inside had been waiting forever and was getting angsty. I too can understand a 20 minute wait for one latte. But 45 minutes total that I waited at this place to make one latte is unacceptable. I went to this place over my usual spot and I knew i regretted it immediately as soon as i was waiting in line. In my experience at pho restaurants in orange county, they move extremely fast because it is broth and noodles they combine. And I can't think of any justification on why one latte or pho would be a 45 minute wait. I will never be back here. At least the coffee was good but it pretty damn well should be for 45 minutes

A new spot in Costa Mesa, a true hole in the wall kind of place but the drinks are pretty good! Emily made our drinks and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. She recommended us the maple Hojicha and jasmines dream. It was perfectly made and super delicious. Price is decent for the amount of you get. Theres a lot of seating inside and they serve snacks and food as well. Ps. The mascot is really cute

I came back bringing more friends and to try out different items. Anvi really did it again, never disappointed. Great service as always. Everything came out fast and hot. Got myself vermicelli wtih grilled pork, hojicha coconut water, and maple hojicha. Tender and flavorful meat, could be given it a little charred for smokier and bolder flavor. Hojicha here was very good and nutty as well, not too bitter aftertaste. Overall, I like most of the food and drink items I've had, but nothing beats the house fried rice along with blue thai tea. Come thru and support!!

Tried out this new cafe in Costa Mesa and I'm so glad we did! They seated us so quickly and let us bring out dog in as well. The staff was really friendly and gave our dog some water and a cute pup cup that they drew Biscuit on! They also gave us a complementary tote bag since they opened recently! We ordered the Vietnamese coffee and the blue elephant which were SOOOO delicious! I will definitely be back here. They also have a photobooth in the back and tons of seating as well as a couch with stuffies.

I recently saw this spot highlighted by a Costa Mesa real estate agent and I had to give it a try. It's located where a Pho restaurant used to be, so their signage is still up and still to be updated. Inside, you order at the counter, and they have a variety of drinks and Vietnamese food. I ordered a maple hojicha, and the staff was super friendly! They asked if I wanted any milk substitutions, to which they have oat, almond, and whole milk. The hojicha had a great nutty flavor, and the drink overall had great flavor. I'll definitely return and try some food

Came here for early dinner before a show at Segerstrom. We were initially confused because the signage outside still said Happy Pho. The staff said they were in the process of rebranding. The place was not busy at 5 pm on a Sunday. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was decent. The menu was not very large though, by Vietnamese restaurant standards. I would say it's a bit fusion here. The place was bright and clean. The photo booth was a nice touch for the kids.

On Harbor, between Baker and Nutmeg, next to the Harbor Freight lot. Anvi's Cafe took over the Happy Pho location. Ample parking, nice and clean inside. Service was great, servers and owners are nice and accommodating. As of June 2026, they are still in the soft opening phase. The fried rice is really good and you have a choice of adding 2 proteins. The combo rice plate's beef was very tasty and nicely seasoned. I enjoyed the blue Thai tea a great deal as it is very creamy and delicious.

When your favorite food and drink are all in one spot... A dream come true. This was my first time trying this place, and I'm so glad I did. They initially caught my attention on Yelp. I was planning to work from a nearby café but ended up rerouting here instead. I was a little skeptical at first because it's not every day you see Vietnamese restaurant and cafe drinks under the same roof. The coconut matcha was delicious!! You could actually taste the matcha through the creamy foam on top. I also want to highlight the pho because it is THAT good. The broth was rich and flavorful, and the cuts of meat tasted fresh and high quality! After trying their pho and coconut matcha, I was genuinely impressed. I would absolutely come back. The only thing I wasn't sure about was whether they're aiming to be more of a café or a restaurant. The space felt more like a sit-down dining spot, so I ended up not staying to work.

Tucked away in a little plaza, this cafe has an amazing ambience with a warm modern atmosphere. The drinks menu hold interesting and unique creations alongside classics that you look for in a cafe. As a frequent traveler to LA for some good hojicha, I'm glad to find an equally if not better alternative here in Costa Mesa. (Not to mention that their merch is extremely cute.)

Great food and service! I came here recently with my boyfriend, and I enjoyed my experience there. The seating area was relatively clean and modern-looking. They have a photo booth inside too as well as some merch near the entrance. I was somewhat nervous about the Thai tea since I had never had it blue, but it tasted good. It has the familiar taste of Thai tea, and the vanilla cream added to the creaminess and sweetness. The shaken beef with noodles was $20, but I think I got generous portions for the price. The beef was well seasoned, and the noodles weren't too oily.

my boyfriend and I went to Anvi's cafe since we're big foodies and love trying new spots. We had the pho (brisket & steak) and the portions are really big and it was delicious! (10/10), we also tried the spring rolls (11/10) and you can definitely tell the food is fresh. We're definitely gonna come back to Anvi's cafe!! The blue Thai tea was soo yummy as well. The ambience was great I loved their decor, they even have a photo booth in the corner!

Right when you sit down, the cleanliness stands out and not in a good way. (lost my appetite.) We ordered the vegetable pho and vegetable fried rice, and both were underwhelming. The portioning of the vegetables just didn't make sense huge, oversized pieces (like broccoli the size of a fist and massive bok choy) that felt unbalanced with the dish. The fried rice was mostly large chunks of vegetables with barely any rice, and overall it lacked flavor. For the price about $75 it just wasn't worth it. Take my word for it or try it yourself, but overall I'd give it around a 3.2 out of 10.

The garlic noodles were super flavorful, perfectly cooked, and had that rich garlicky kick without being overpowering. The bulgogi beef was tender, juicy, and had just the right balance of sweet and savory, while the chicken was cooked really well and added a nice contrast. Together, it was such a satisfying combo. Portions were generous, and you could really taste the quality of garlic in each bite. Definitely one of those meals where you're already thinking about your next visit as you're finishing up. Highly recommend! Only thing I would recommend is to brush your teeth after bc it leaves a garlic smell

At 10pm, there were a handful of folks inside, waiting for their to-go orders. Since they close at midnight on a Wed, we decided to eat in. I like the industrial vibe they have going on w/ live edge tables, black pipes, & farmhouse lights. I wanna take the big live edge dining table home & plop it right in my dining room! The lady at the counter was nice, taking our order with a smile, then repeating it for accuracy. The garlic chicken breast sandwich did not disappoint. It's just as I remembered it... tasty, moist, & even more delicious w/ the green sauce. The garlic noods w/ bulgogi was a new try for us; we usually get it w/ shrimp. It was yummy, but afterwards I felt like the meat was too salty. The peach & lychee green tea is my fave, while the hubbs enjoyed his Thai tea. Soo good!

It took us 30 minutes of sitting there to even get a server to take our food order. Understandably, the staff were busy due to the holiday, but we would actively see staff being far more attentive to the tables around us when we never even got water we ordered when we sat down. When we called for staff, it was as if they were actively avoiding us to be more attentive to the "white" tables. It took us calling for them 5 times before they finally had someone actually notice that we hadn't gotten any drinks and hadn't put in an order for food. Even when we finally got a waiter, he scrambled off before we were finished ordering our food. The food was good but no amount of good food is worth the disrespect my family felt. ESPECIALLY on a holiday dinner like this. I wouldn't come back.
