You wouldn't expect a billiards place to have delicious food, but this one stands out because it's owned by the same folks who own Anytime, a popular Korean restaurant nearby in K-town. The space itself feels pretty luxe, with purple velvet curtains making way to a a sleek dining area and billiard space. For a pool hall, the place feels somewhat upscale, which I appreciate in contrast to the usual sticky pool halls I've been to. The price per hour is comparable to other pool halls in the city. The food menu is largely standard pool hall/sports bar grub, like mozzarella sticks, wings, and fries, but they have some surprise items like burrata, chicken sandwiches, and flatbread. I ordered a flatbread with sunchokes and was surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Sunchokes with bread and cheese was an excellent combo that I was encountering for the first time here. We also ordered a side of sweet potato fries which were also surprisingly good. They have a full bar and drink specials, but their drink menu stands out to me for their Korean drinks, including my favorite makgeolli brand, Makku. Enjoying my favorite beverage with interesting and well executed bites made this pool experience top notch. read more

The most memorable thing wasn't the pool tables or the set up of the billiards. I have to say it was the drink called the Lavender Collins and the bartenders. The LC b/c it was just beautiful (check the pics)! The other important thing about it for me was that it was a gin cocktail. YAY!!!! The bartenders were just super nice and friendly. The music was great for that after 11:30pm nightcap. I will definitely be back to actually partake in the billiards and food part of this establishment very soon! read more

This place is pretty casual with lots of loud clubbing bops - probably not the best place to have conversations unless you're OK losing your voice at the end of the night. The party I went with seemed to enjoy the drinks here. We got a few platters of "Truffle Fries" ($12 for a small basket) to share amongst our group. Overall, the fries were not worth it. They came out hot and fresh with a strong whiff of truffle oil, but sadly, they did not taste as good as they smelled. For most of the fries, they just taste like regular fries. They were crispy and flavorful but it's just not worth $12. Also, they skimped out on how much ketchup they give out. Overall, good clubby bar vibes with a few pool tables in the back. People seemed to have a good time here. I'd probably try other foods next time if I come back, but everything here is overpriced and a tourist trap. read more

Came here with BayGirlsEat on Instagram and I have to say this is a very chill restaurant about a block away from Ktown. There is a wide variety of food choices ranging from the Philly American cheeseburger to the Japanese chicken katsu dish. The menu is very diverse and comes with a good amount of main dishes and appetizers blending two very different food groups I used to hang with which gave me a bit of nostalgia. Starting with the drinks the bourbon palmer had a wonderful but light sweet taste. It's delivered with a bubble of gas that would *up* the atmosphere before upping the atmosphere with its delicious intoxicating taste. Then came the lavender collins, presenting itself with petals of lavender fused to a tall tower of ice sitting in the cup. It is extremely decorative and almost guilty feeling to have to drink this work of art but it must be done. At last came the food... The onion rings are a must, coming with bbq sauce and truffle sauce. Deep fried and stacked as a tall tower, this is hands down the best onion rings I've ever had in my life (and that's saying a lot because I've had many, lol). I am amazed these onion rings can leave me actually desiring onion rings but I know it must be these onion rings I must have if I want to taste that flavor again. The chicken katsu, was extremely delicious as I ate every slice with my chopsticks. This katsu stands out, being layered with delicious sauces, it leaves a mouth-watering flavor for every bite. The sweet and soy mandoo dumpings is for sure going to be better than dumplings you get most places, as this is as well, layered a fair amount with mouth-watering delicious sauce. You may be finding yourself fighting over who is getting that last piece. And the bulgogi fries which are more than just your standard cheese fries. These fries are a side but does not require a hamburger to make it whole. This flavorful fried dish stands out all on its own. Last but not least, the lemon cream shrimp. This shrimp was especially satisfying since eating breaded shrimp usually comes with the idea of it being very dry. This one is not, being fused with delicious cream and oil to really bring out the watering taste as seafood should have. I would highly recommend this spot, especially due to a very upkept billiards hall being right behind the tables. What's food without activities after? read more

It does get loud (from the music and people) so we left the pool area shortly after it got crowded. They also run Happy Hour specials Sun - Thurs on pool from 4-6. Honestly pretty disappointed. I live around the block and always walk by. I finally had a group of friends visiting and suggested we go here. We get straight to the bar and I order a bullet on the rocks, gf gets a vodka soda, and when my buddy ordered a double Tito's chilled it was as if the bartender forgot how to speak English. He began bantering with my friend about how to properly prepare a shot. It was weird and wasn't friendly conversation. Felt like it was his first time chilling a shot and was arguing how to do it. I then asked if we can get a table for billiards. The bartender says he needs to check and hang on a second. (There were 3 open tables). He then comes back and goes "Yeah it's gonna be $57" Their online price says $43! I didn't even question it but wish I did because looking back on it the whole situation felt weird. He must have came up to me 3 times when we still had 30 minutes left asking me to extend the hour which I kept denying. I complained to my girlfriend about this while we were there just to make a point about how he wouldn't leave me alone. Then the best part. When we ask for the bill he asks me if I have Venmo. I tell him no you already have my card on file. He goes no I know but if you have Venmo just do that. Not even asking or suggesting, just flat out telling me to just Venmo him instead. I aggressively rejected and then finally he came with the bill. The whole thing was weird and pretty sure your bartender is trying to pocket cash on the side. Likely won't be back. Dive bars with free pool tables are everywhere in the city and other then having to pay for it this one is no different. read more
