This company sucks. They don't maintain appointments. And customer service is horrible.

Everybody makes mistakes and how companies handle mistakes speak to their character. This company is very low character. I had a leaking toilet on a Friday. They came out to fix it and told me it wouldn't leak anymore. There was wetness at the base of the toilet, but I assumed that was just some water that got splashed on there from pulling the toilet. Bad assumption. When I went to use that bathroom the next day, the water had not dried up and there was even more water on the ground. I called back Saturday and despite saying they are 24/7, they couldn't get anyone out until Monday and gave me a four hour window. After they no showed that window, I called back to see what had happened and they didn't really put me on the schedule. So they gave me a 4 hr window the next day. They called a few minutes before that window was set to expire to tell me they would be late which was unacceptable because it was now time to put the children to bed. They gave me another 4 hr window for Wed. Guess what? Minutes before it was set to expire, they called me again and said they were late. I said forget about it, you've already wasted 12 hrs of my life and I just want a refund as they didn't fix the problem. They are now refusing to give me a refund. Dealing with the company has been nothing but a nightmare. Beware! read more

This company is a JOKE! Our basement had water backup and they did camera found out pipe was broken. So they dug up the concrete floor. BUT They charged us when work was not done. And claimed they have no idea on how to make concrete smooth. LOL! See photos from the concrete they finished with incredible cracks everywhere and super bumpy and has no clue how to seal the cracks. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! I wish I could rate it 0 star. read more

Rude customer service. The receptionist, Kathryn, talked down to me, interrupted me and would not listen. The service man, Kimball, was also rude and talked down to me. They refused to let me talk to a manager to resolve my issue. My boiler was leaking water, so I called to have them take a look at it. The technician said my boiler needed replaced, and it'd cost about $10,000. However, I later discovered that the drain tube outside the unit was disconnected, so I plugged it back in and the problem was fixed. So glad I found this out before spending thousands of dollars on a new unit when this one still works fine. They still charged me even though they didn't do any work and lied to me about the unit being broke, and they refused to refund my money. This company does not have quaility employees, and they take advantage of customers. Just read the reviews...it's a common problem with them. read more

Zero stars would be closer to the truth. I requested a sewer line cleanout. The employee showed up with a plumber's snake, suitable for kitchen drains, etc. He went through the motions of cleaning out the sewer line, then gave me a 20 minute talk about how I needed a camera job and a hydro cleanout for $1200 and he just happened to have the equipment in his truck. I asked him to leave. Three weeks later the drain backed up again. I called a different company, who sent a man with the right equipment and the right attitude who cleared the sewer line. Both companies charged $95. I've had some bad plumbers before, but Anywhere Rooter is the worst. read more

We called Anywhere Plumbing from an online add that advertising a $69 drain cleanout special. When they came to the property the price we were quoted was $225. I spoke with the technician and made him aware of the advertised price. The gentlemen told me we needed a medium sized blade and that it would be more expensive for that and also immediately recommended we have the line hydro-jetted. I then told him what we were quoted and that if that was not honored we could just have someone else out to service the property. He agreed to perform the line clean out. The next day the property experienced the same plumbing backup. The tech came back out and again was adamant about hydro-jetting which is about a $1250 service. I told them before going to that extent we would like to have the line camera'd to view the condition before taking extreme measures. The owner of the company then got on the phone and proceeded to tell me I didn't know anything about plumbing, and then tried to sell me a camera scope that was double of what it typically costs. He then asked what I was going to say to him once the scope confirmed his assumption. I responded that I felt he had conflicting interest with his model, and that we'd like to hire an independent 3rd party to scope and see the line first, then determine what we would need to do based off of the recommendation. The next day the line was scoped by Mainline Service (which was 1/2 the price that Anywhere Rooter tried to charge us) and confirmed that hydro-jetting was not necessary. It was shown that we would need a proper blade clean out and to continue to monitor. We then called Anywhere Rooter back to pass along the findings and offered to share the report which we obtained. We asked them to come back to the property and re-blade the line and possibly extend the cabling length to make sure it went past the the backup. We were told that they would stand by their work and make it right. I then received another call from the owner and he began to belittle the sewer scope company and myself and kept going on about having the property hydro-jetted. To be honest the entire time it felt like they were trying to upsell this hydro-jetting service. The owner on multiple times tried to talk me out of what would be an appropriate order of operations. He was very aggressive in his tone and very condescending. I felt his sole goal was to extract the most money that they could out of the job. Ultimately, I asked for them to correct the problem as we had paid them to, or to refund the money that we paid them. They declined both and were disrespectful during the process, and is why I wanted to let everyone know how they conduct business. read more

we had Anywhere Rooter out to replace the Dishwasher shutoff vale's as they were stuck open. They shutoff the main water valve to the house and replaced them. When he turned the main back on he informed us it was leaking. he said the a plumber would be out between 4 and 6 pm to fix this and my wife paid a bit over 2100 dollars for both repairs 1350 was to replace main. At 7 pm we hadn't heard from the plumber, so we called the after hours line and were told he was on the way but closer to 9pm. 10:20 pm rolls around and still no call from the plumber, again we call the after hours line, He's on the way but now it's another 30 to 45 minutes. The work done by the first tech was completed and I believe the main was in need of replacement as it was nearly 45 years old. their afterhours contact was professional and courteous. The communication was seriously lacking and there was no reporting of service delays. I will post a follow up review of the Main Valve replacement after it is done. Just beware of any stated service times. Right now they are 1 for 4, not a very good record. read more

The conclusion of our experience with Anywhere Rooter is that they are a bunch of scammers that will try to rip you off, and will refuse to give you service when they can't. We had a problem with our main drainage about 3 weeks ago, the water was backflowing into our basement. Unfortunately, we called Anywhere Rooter randomly, we didn't read any reviews or know any other plumbing companies. We were expecting a quick cleanup, however, one of their plumbers came over to our house and decided after he inspected our pipes that we "have a big problem" and that some tree roots were blocking our main pipe. He said the only solution to our problem was to dig out the pipes and replace them with new ones! His offer was $5500, we told him to just do a normal clean up because we can't afford to pay that much. He was very pushy and was trying to convince us to get a loan or call our bank! He refused to do a clean up saying that the floor might collapse and he doesn't want to get blamed for damages. We told him that we are done and we'll call another company, however, he charged us $133, saying that $69 were for driving to our place and $64 for replacing a pipe cap that he had to break to get his camera in. So basically we paid the guy $133 for refusing to fix our problem. The next day we asked the company to send us the video that the plumber supposedly recorded so we can send it to another company so they don't have to do another diagnosis. Anywhere rooter said that there was no video because we didn't ask their plumber to record it! We decided to just call another company to do a normal clean up which cost us only $100, plus they gave us warranty. It's been three weeks now and our drainage seems to be fine, there is no backflow anymore. read more

The folks are barely better than con-artists. DO NOT EVER CONTRACT THEIR SERVICES. At the beginning of COVID-19 lockdowns, our master shower/tub went out. When we finally felt comfortable bringing someone in, we called Action Appliance, who recommended these folks. We've had fine experiences with Action in the past, so their recommended plumber seemed like a guaranteed good deal. We were SO WRONG. The only prompt appointment was for our initial estimate, at which point we were told that it was a simple fix, and that a part would be in to do the work in a "couple days." We were asked to pay 2/3 of the bill up front, but the man instead charged the entire total, without informing us. Then, the no-call/no-shows began. Three appointments over five days were cancelled on us AFTER the window, and only when we called to ask the status. Furthermore, each time we were informed that the part would be in soon, and another (fake) appointment was scheduled. After a week without out money or our repairs, we called and asked for a reasonable accommodation for the hassle and lies. We were informed they would only offer a small discount - approximately $100 out of nearly $1000 total work. When we informed them that was not acceptable, they then told us they would cancel the work, but would be keeping 25% for a cancellation fee! We were left with no work, and have had to appeal to our bank to attempt to have any of our money returned (they to date have not returned a penny). Needless to say, we called another plumber, who was professional, punctual, and more than happy to get the work done in a beautiful manner. Anywhere Rooter are frauds and crooks. DO NOT EVER HIRE THEM. They are more likely to steal from you than help. read more

Set time for 12-4. No show by 5:10 and so I called was told "Oh it looks like we won't be able to get out to you today after all..." This was a Friday. This was a sewer back-up. Please be careful with this company. They charged me 750 for a service + part. The person who arrived did not have the part and was supposed to return the next day and never showed up. I called in and the person on the phone rescheduled to 8:00 am next business day and the worker did not show up again. I called and asked for refund of the amount charged for the part which was never installed and the office manager ( who by the way is extremely rude) refused to refund. She told me that I either wait for the worker to show up ( please note that I waited twice) or loose the entire amount. I could not reason with her as all of this seemed unnecessary and unreasonable. So please beware of how you deal with this company, especially what money you hand over to them. Now the whole thing will move to small claims court. This seems to be a trend with this company as I saw another review with similar issue. read more
