We recently picked up a couple of the AO Coolers Carbon Series 48 Pack coolers for our new boat, and they are just PERFECT! Not only do they look awesome, but well built, and right at home on the water while delivering in performance. We were out in 105+ degree heat, and these coolers kept everything cold all day long. They're deceptively spacious fitting way more than we expected, and the way the design folds into a squared-off shape makes transporting to and from the boat super easy. After reading all the negative reviews on RDP.com I felt the need to update and change my rating to 1 Star. I have never taken the time to leave a Yelp review but felt the need to give outdoor enthusiast a heads up on AO Coolers quality and lack of keeping a customer. We purchased a 4-pack combo which is only used 3 months out of the year on the boat. We had a problem with one leaking and a carrying strap break which was sent back at our cost and repaired. On another cooler, the carrying strap broke and the top seam split. Again, we sent it back at our cost and they stated that they could not repair the seam and offered to sell us another one with a measly 20% discount. I spoke with the manager at the repair facility, and they held their ground that there was nothing more they could do except offer to take more of our hard-earned money. After having a 50% failure rate we declined and will be looking for something else. Can't believe you guys don't do the stand up thing to support your customers. Bad taste and bad look. read more

These guys rock! I own personally six of their coolers, my favorite is the stow and go of which I have two, works perfectly underneath boat seats works for hot and cold. A friend just received a promotion we were going to a party for him I wanted to have his name embroidered, on one of their coolers the day before, the lady that answered, the phone was delightful very helpful took my credit card information help me design what I wanted and was ready for me to pick up the next day on time. The young man greeted me when I walked in, was super helpful very nice and was tell me about all their new products with enthusiasm. It's a great product, but the people are even better. read more

I've been a customer and a fan of AO coolers for 16 years. From time to time I take my coolers in to get the zipper fixed or the liner replaced. I own 6 AO Coolers. Unfortunately, my last two experiences have officially turned me away from doing business with this company. I brought two coolers in and they said one was non repairable and they showed me why. I agreed and they offered a 25% discount on a new cooler. I said I'd think about it. They looked at the 2nd cooler and said no problem, but it'll be 4-5 weeks to get it back. The next day I received a call and they said they wouldn't be able to repair that one either. When I went to pick it up the lady working said, and I quote "we sent it to the factory and the factory said they couldn't fix it." I said I was confused, how did you send it to the factory and get it back in 1 day. She changed her story. She said they sent photos. I don't believe either story. Bottom line is this, in my opinion, if your cooler even looks old or used they're going to try and up sell you. Bums me out, I've been a customer for a long time and sent a lot of business their way. A buddy of mine said he had the same experience. read more

i had a year old soft cooler and the stitching on one handle was starting to come out. i sent it back for repair and they replaced it with a brand new one! Wow that's a great warranty. They didn't even ask me for my purchase receipt! Wow that's great customer service! Not to mention that the cooler is terrific and keeps drinks cold all day even in 115 degree weather at the river. I took in a college I got from the probably 6-8 months ago bc the zipper broke or the liner ripped I can't remember they gave me a loaner cooler while they fixed it I finally went back to their shop in corona they gave me a brand new replacement at no charge. If you are looking for a cool cooler...look elsewhere. About 7yrs ago, I hooked up with a few friends to go to the Pomona Fair. They brought with them an old, large, soft ice cooler bag from A.O. Coolers. We went to the "AO" booth where they exchanged it for a new one with no questions asked. My friend along with the Salesman and Saleswoman said that the products come with a lifetime warranty and to bring it back anytime. I was sold, and bought a $65 lunch bag as did my cousin. As expected, the bag is showing signs of wear(small rips inside and cracking inner pocket liners, albeit 7yrs later which is impressive. I figured why not get a new one. I went to the Fair to look for them but they were not there. I called the main office in Corona and was told that I could go to the O.C. Fairgrounds Swap Meet because they were there too. OC it is, to save a few miles. Spoke to Rich. Great guy but not a great answer. He said I needed to take it to the main office because he could not help me. You ever get the "run-around" and feel it ain't gonna end good? I drove 40 miles to the A.O. Cooler Corona office. Met with President Brian Hatch who offered to redo the internal liner for $12 but would not replace the bag. He explained that it was unreasonable to offer a Lifetime Warranty and that they hired many people at the Fair. "Bait and Switched?" Smooth as a Car Salesman? I got the Okie-Doke. I refused any offer short of replacement and left. I paid a premium price for a premium product for premium service. Shy of that, it ain't worth the price. Gonna trash mine because I don't want any bitter reminders. You wanna get punked...buy A.O. Coolers. read more
