This has to be one of the worst moving experiences we've had. - We had opted for itemized moving since they were running an offer and we hadn't listed some items till the day of. It added up and how, even though we had way fewer boxes than the estimate! Big mistake. They were not willing to move back to regular hourly rate and there were SO many other miscommunications on the day of. We ended up having to rent our own U-Haul to move the remaining things! - We have 3 big dents on the walls in our NEW home! And the guy responded - "all you need is putty to fix it", no apologies or anything. - Our treadmill was not properly re-installed and it does not work anymore! - Coronavirus what? I had to repeatedly ask if they take precautions for covid, paid extra for shrink wrap and had to request the movers to wear a mask and sanitize their hands. Sean and Kohl did an amazing job. It was moving day helping my close friend and mentor Roger move to his new place. He and I spent days prior getting the bigger things ready and boxing the majority of the other items up for the movers today! They were a great choice for the job. Kohl and Sean where very courteous, experienced, and strong young men that definitely knew what they were doing! They took very good care of the furniture and made sure they knew where things went and put things in rightful place. They had the perfect truck and trailer for the job as well as dollies and moving wrap and all the necessary equipment needed for the job. We used Apache Moving for our recent move into a 3 bedroom home, and it was an incredible experience. Rich, Fernando, and Jared were professional, thorough, and efficient, and not a moment was wasted. We were originally scheduled to move on a Thursday, and the coordinator, Joey, helped us move our date to the Monday before without any issues/ additional fees. The price was absolutely reasonable. We just hired Apache Moving as our first-ever movers, and couldn't have had a better experience. They cleaned out 2 large storage units in 2 hours, our house over the next 3 or so, and got it all driven (safely, as there were a lot of TVs and collectibles!) from Austin to McAllen the same day so we could get an early start unloading everything the next morning. Only need movers to load a truck. Business was non-responsive and gave me a ridiculously overpriced quote to load some tubs on a truck.

We didn't receive one piece of furniture undamaged or unscratched. Some things were old, but others were brand new, such as our bed from west elm, leather chair from pottery barn, vanity from west elm, and dresser (some wedding gifts). The fact of the matter is, our stuff wasn't cared for, and now our pristine furniture is ruined, and i am going to have to waste my time and money replacing or touching up stuff. It's very upsetting. When I complained, nothing was done. It didn't matter that things were put on their side and pushed against the concrete or that our mattress was literally kicked around. And it gets worse...the fixed price isn't fixed. They raised the price on me after the move, because my bed was "hard to disassemble" and there were extra little things i didn't inform them of in the initial quote...like a shoe rack...cmon. I reassembled the bed myself, and it wasn't that hard. They didn't even put anything in place in the apt. It all went into storage at the apt complex while we waited for our unit to open up, so that made their job, well, almost half the job. The price to pay to move my now damaged furniture from Austin to Houston was 1.2k. Definitely not worth it. read more

Your states are so far from the truth. That was my garage, which you move my things in there because the management messed up on when the apartment would be ready. The items that were damaged were damaged before I moved them up to my apartment and I have 2 witnesses that saw it and are willing to testify what they saw. I stated this to you and you pretty much laughed at me, I then and only then stated that I would be forced to write a bad review for the lack of responsibility your company takes, not for charging me extra to move it up stairs. read more

Don't use any other moving company in Austin. Apache is the only one you'll ever need! I had an absolutely fantastic experience with Apache Moving over the weekend. I called for a last-minute, emergency move on Friday morning for a Saturday appointment. I had previously called about 10 other moving companies for quotes and they were either completely booked because it was so last-minute, or their quotes were insanely high to move a one-bedroom apartment. But I spoke with Melinda on the phone at Apache. She was able to slot me in for a move the following day, said movers would arrive anywhere from 12-3 PM, and quoted me at $95 per hour (best deal out there compared to all the other companies I called.) Email confirmation sent within minutes....honestly, I thought, "this is too good to be true, something is definitely going to go wrong tomorrow." But absolutely nothing went wrong at all... My movers, Mario and Chris showed up right on time! They pulled up to my place at exactly noon, came to assess what needed to be moved and started right away around 12:20 PM. They were both extremely nice and professional. They had all the tools needed to take apart my bed (which happened to be a bit tricky because the previous movers stripped one of the screws.) But this was no problem for Mario or Chris; they figured out a way to make it work. Each of them were extremely careful when handling my belongings, which definitely helped calm my nerves. The guys worked so hard for the two hours they were working.... and in 100 degree Texas heat, no less. Great staff at Apache; they should definitely be proud of their team. I have another move coming up in 6 months, and you better believe I'll be calling Apache again! read more

I am unsure how long it takes to determine how many boxes were used (I still have them stored at mom's) and if the "long walk" charge was billed to other clients moving into The Pointe at Cedar Park. Ok, this company has 2 pros and 2 cons. The Pros 1.) They are inexpensive 2.) They are fast moves are generally done fairly quickly The Cons 1.) They are inexpensive 2.) They are very fast/careless. They will move stuff out so fast there is no care taken for you stuff. Im glad i took time to wrap my furniture prior to it being picked up. Even though that did not help much they still managed to dent, ding and scratch a few pieces, including putting a large scratch in the apartments vinyl wood floor with thier dolly. They also really didnt care to put any of our stuff where we wanted it instead wanted to dump everything in the apartment collect thier payment and leave. read more

I had the worst experience with the movers who move my furniture and boxes to my new home. There was and older guy who had back problems and two others. The older man would tell the taller man to be careful with the boxes especially the ones marked fragile, he didn't listen and dropped boxes multiple times. He didn't put the boxes where I would ask him to put them. He was careless. He sat and ate his food and threw the trash on my yard. Mind you this is my first brand new home. The Hispanic man worked very hard and the older man. But this man was horrible. Lots of broken dishes, knickknacks. They were not able to fit a couple of pieces of furniture. I had to rent a Uhaul truck an moved the furniture myself and I am 70 years old. I called the owner but he did not offer any solution. read more

BEWARE!!! We hired Apache for a move from Cedar Park to Leander. Our move date was December 6, 2013 The first issue that raised my eyebrow was the quote Matt gave us was not what we actually paid. In fact, we paid almost $200.00 more because "he didn't check that you had this or that". But, the worst was yet to happen. Our entertainment center was dropped. The sides were scratched and there are marks on it. Wood is splitting out. I was told that it was dropped and that the mover responsible also does wood work (imagine that...my lucky day) and was willing to come the next day and GLUE it back on. I was told if I wanted it fixed through the company this would come out of the guys check. No guilt there. I contact Apache. I figure they would immediately remedy the situation. Not so. Apache handed me off to their wood guy. Someone who I had to repeatedly email before getting one response. He never called back, and didn't show up for two appointments he arranged with us. Finally, I contacted Apache again. After getting the run around I was told all they really had to pay was .10 per pound and they were willing to "go ahead and give me $60.00." That was not acceptable nor is it even the right thing to do. In March 2014, ( that's right, THREE months later) the owner of Apache decided to offer us the amount necessary to replace the most damaged piece. But. Only of we wrote a good Yelp. No, I'm not kidding. If we wrote a good Yelp, we'd get the $211.00 necessary to replace the most damaged piece. But, I would have to write it and show them then, trust them to pay for the piece. Now, they left moving blankets, ruined a four piece entertainment center, dragged this on for three months and we are expected to trust them? They wanted us to lie. That's not happening here. Apache did NOTHING to fix the damage they caused. Nothing! Be VERY careful reading these "glowing" Yelps! Apache has now shown themselves to be dishonest and in our close community of Leander/Cedar Park, that's not a reputation I want for my business or myself. So, we did not take them up on their offer. This is an honest Yelp. We still have a damaged entertainment center. We still have moving blankets. We've received ZERO apology from Apache. Not one person there said they'd do whatever it took to fix this. I would move myself next time rather than deal with a company like this. I have the pictures of the damage they caused and will post here if I'm able. I'm sure this won't be a recommended review. Of course not. Why would Terry the owner want that? I don't want a response telling me that you're sorry I feel this way. This is the truth. Apache is dishonest, the prices aren't guaranteed and the customer service is absent. read more

After quoting 5-6 other places, I picked Apache as our movers based on the 1 Yelp review, and the lowest quote. We paid per/hour rather than per/item, and it was right around what they'd quoted us. Although they were really late (about 2 hours), once they finally arrived, they worked really hard to move us as quickly as possible. The two movers were really personable, and we enjoyed chatting them throughout the move. If only they had contacted us about the delay, or been on time in the first place. Apache Moving has moved me 3 times since I have been in Austin. I have always been very happy with the experience. The movers are always polite, respectful of my belongings, and very professional. They have helped me remember little things, have offered to help reassemble furniture, and will do anything extra upon being asked. They are not fancy. The trucks are usually pretty old and have definitely seen their share of moves. But in my opinion, a shiny truck has zero effect on the success of a move. For the very reasonable rates they charge, I don't mind the no frills attitude. This last time the truck got lost on the way to my new place and the movers gave me an overly fair discount to make up for the lost time. They are always looking for that little extra, so I wasn't surprised. Would recommend them to anyone! read more

These people were amazing. I called them last week once I knew the approximate date we were closing in our house and they were able to fit us in Sunday for the move. We chose to do the itemized just to see what it was and it was it was unbelievably affordable. I forgot a few items and they added it on for me at a cost that was still amazing. I was moving from a high rise apartment in downtown. You have to book service elevator time there. I booked movers for slot between 12 and 3pm. They came at 5pm. So we had to use the normal elevator, everything took double time. Of course they charged me for the extra time. I was supposed to have 3 movers, only 2 came and one of them was injured so he was only carrying smaller items and dropping a lot on the floor. They chipped my furniture and made marks on my walls in the new house. They left some items in the apartment so I had to go back and get them myself. Avoid at all cost. read more

They came on time and were courteous and polite from the get go. They were efficient and at the same time very careful with everything they moved. We moved from South Austin to Pflugerville, and after many offers by different movers, we decided to use Apache, due to their personalized attention. We gave them a list of everything we wanted them to move. They gave us a quote for the cost, including a additional stop to drop off furniture at a relatives house. We were able to except their cost, as it was very reasonable. The movers arrived almost on time, even though they were coming through traffic to south Austin from Leander. There were two movers that helped us with our move, and unfortunately I don't remember their names. Both were very professional and accommodating and everything that we asked them. They were careful with the things that they moved, and they were able to keep both places from being damaged by the furniture even though the house we were moving out was a two story. No damage was done in the stairs. We plan to use Apache for any further moving that we do because of their quality of professional movers and their reasonable prices. read more
