My daughters was in an accident and her car was towed here. I called and had to deal with a very rude, angry girl who refused to work with me or my insurance company. I had to pay cash and have my insurance company reimburse me, even though I have free towing. My insurance company said they had never dealt with such an uncooperative towing company before. On top of that, we decided to scrap the car and the other tow truck driver who came to pick it up said he doesn't even like dealing with them! 3 strikes your out! So call another company like Az Boys or KBar towing. This company is awful. read more

I had a dead battery after work and called AAA, they sent Apache Sands. AAA told me someone would be there within 1 hour but they arrived within 20 minutes, confirmed the battery was dead, replaced the battery, and I was on my way home less than an hour after I had called AAA. If I could give this zero stars I would but unfortunately they don't give me that option. Anywho, first we were missed informed on the price saying it was 75$ and an additional 15$ per day. WRONG the total price was 180$. so then we were fine with that so I put out my debit card and my id bec apparently they asked for it also and then the stupid cashier said he can't accept it bec my suffix name "jr" is not on the card as well meaning It could be my fathers card. Well I happen to be a banker myself how convenient, and never in my life have we printed out debit card with the customers suffix name printed on it as well, sometimes it wouldn't even have their middle name if they request it. I totally thought that was BS and he just made that up, pulled it right out of his ass or something. Reasons why I hate going to mesa bec I hate getting discriminated by or get treated unfairly just bec of how I look or the way my accent sounds. Hate this place and terrible customer service. Pretty awesome. My insurance company sent them out when my car wouldn't start. I was literally on my way to get my battery replaced and of course my car wouldn't start. They got out there super quick (way before my insurance company quoted), they got my battery jump started in about 2 minutes, and I was on my way. Amazing! My car battery died on me while I was out running errands in this dreadful heat, and I called AAA to have someone diagnose the battery and get me going again. AAA dispatched Josh from Apache Sands (I guess they sub-contract) and service was just spectacular. Josh was there within 10 minutes and he even gave me a call ahead of time to let me know he was on his way. I had a crack in my battery so I had to get it replaced...luckily Josh was able to install a new one on the spot. Thanks for the excellent service!! read more

I rented a Uhaul trailer here yesterday and was pleased with my experience. It's a busy place with quite a few services offered, and I was impressed with their service. The Uhaul area is separate, the man helping was SO great! I'm not very experienced with using trailers, and was missing a plug which he recommended getting from Pep Boys across the street for 1/2 price. I appreciated not feeling like I was stuck there and had to buy a part from them - that spoke volumes to me! (My trailer rental was $20, I would have been irritated to have to pay an additional $25 for the adapter plug.) He helped me hook it up and sent me on my way. Drop off was SUPER convenient. I needed it after hours (they close at like 5pm) and was afraid they'd make me return it the next day - nope. I could drop it off anytime that night. This rent a trailer thing is awesome and I'll be going back to Apache Sands! ***They are also an impound lot- so I'm guessing that may be where all the negative reviews are coming from. All the customers I saw seemed to be pleased. Smiling and laughing with the employees. read more

Jennifer does excellent work. She is professional and courteous. The battery installed last month was not of good quality apparently. It was replaced with no hassle. Fortunately the car was at our home so we were able to stay inside during the hour long process of testing and getting a new battery. No complaints about the service however. I wish I could give a review on the technician because Michael deserves at least a 5 star review! He was prompt, courteous, and very professional. Here's where the 1 star review comes in...I called Apache Sands to speak with a manager to tell them how great Michael was. The man who answered the phone, Josh, was immediately rude before I could even tell him why I was calling. He wanted to know why I called and said well you called me. Of course I called him, he's at the business...and that's no way to treat a customer! It got to the point where he would not give the phone to someone else who was less rude for me to speak to and even said I could come down to the shop as if he wanted to fight me! When I asked for the manager he said that he was the manager!! Unbelievable! I hung up and called back hoping to get thru to someone else. This time Adam answered the phone so I asked for a manager. Adam said Josh was but he was outside. I asked for anyone who was above Josh and he recommended that I call back Monday thru Friday to speak with either Chad or Brian. I most definitely will be reaching out to Chad and Brian because they need to know how unprofessional their "manager" is. We will go out of our way now to use someone other than Apache Sands for any services we need. read more

Very quick to respond - I had a dead battery and within an hour I had the battery tested thoroughly and replaced. Friendly and knowledgeable mechanic (Jack) too - gave me lots of information about the issue as well as other things to be aware of on my vehicle. I drive a 32 foot rv. I was driving from California and noticed my RV was swaying back and forth like I was on a boat. I pulled in to a place in california at a truck stop. They could not figure out what was going on. They looked under the coach, and decided it had to be the tires. They filled up all six tires, charged me 65bucks, and sent me on my way. Sure enough, once I hit 55 miles per hour, my coach continued to sway. I stopped at another RV truck place off the road. They too couldn't figure out what it was, but charged me 60 bucks, just to look at it. It was on a Sunday and nobody else was open, so I continue to drive 35. I reach my destination in AZ, right around the corner from this place. Monday morning i took it to this place. The guy at the counter, said he would check it, but it sounded like the tires too. He said or it could be the Sway bar. Needless to say, he wouldn't charge me to look at it. He went underneath it, took me with him, and sure enough, the sway bracket was broke. I felt relieved that we found it. I knew I wasn't crazy. He ordered the part, and did the labor, and I was able to drive back to california, in peace. Mind you, he did all this for $100 bucks only. Anybody with an RV knows, it's 250 bucks minimum for anything rv related. read more

Apache Sands was dispatched by AAA to replace a battery in my Ford Edge. You would have thought I drive a Tesla. Apache Sands does not equip their trucks with tools, the technician is expected to buy their own. The tech did not have the size sprocket to remove my battery. This professional young man calls Apache Sands to get another truck sent out. The woman says no, jump her and have her call AAA tomorrow. Well no, I'm paying for AAA and you are the sub contractor and you need to send someone out who has the correct equipment. Long story short, two hours later and 45 min on hold with AAA again, my car is dead in a parking lot, I had to get a ride home and tomorrow I will go outside AAA and Apache Sands to another service provider.Incompetent managenent and dispatch at Apache Sands. Helpful tech who didn't leave me in the dark until help arrived. And Apache Sands don't write a b.s. Apology note, equip your trucks or resolve the situation by sending someone else out read more

If you want to be disrespected, spoken to in a condescending way, treated as if your time isn't valuable, and hung up on THIS IS THE TOWING COMPANY FOR YOU!!! I was given a 45 minute wait time (down to the minute by Apache Sands). I was patient, but after APACHE SANDS WAS 25 MINUTES LATE I called them. I let the woman who answered the phone know that they are 25 minutes late her response was "we're doing a shift change someone is on their way soon" (NO APOLOGY)! I responded that being 25 minutes late is unacceptable without at least a courtesy call, or text. She said we have someone going out now. I told her to cancel the tow because this is ridiculous (when the tow called to say they were here they were 40 minutes late). She stated (in the most condescending way you can imagine) Ummm...Ok... to which I responded "don't give me attitude". She then HUNG UP ON ME, AND DIDN'T CANCEL THE TOW!!! I ended up getting a ride home and DID NOT USE this AWFUL company. read more
