Came here with a party of 5 for Long Island restaurant week, and had a disappointing time. The restaurant staff seem to be untrained and ill prepared to answer questions about dishes on the menu. I'm unsure if the lack of customer service were due to us looking young, or being dressed in jeans and shirts, or possibly it could be race discrimination. There were a group of African American women celebrating a birthday and the staff sung happy b-day and that was all however I noticed when a Caucasian women was there celebrating her birthday as well they had music playing on the speakers and everything seemed to stopped in the restaurant to sing and celebrate her. During my stay here the waiter didn't ask about our food, which I didn't enjoy, they didn't offer refills on the sodas ordered, they didn't ask if we wanted any other alcoholic drinks after we ordered. We asked for more bread and was never brought any. It was just an overall disappointment.

Came to this Bistro for Happy Hour. Our server Jackie, greeted us with a smile and immediately took our drink orders. I opted for a pomegranate margarita and it was good and drink #2 Midnight in Paris was even better! I wanted to taste almost everything on the happy hour menu! Everything was filling and very tasty! The margherita pizza had a basil sauce drizzled over it and it was mouth watering. The salmon bites were covered in a sweet Thai Chill sauce which made it nice and moist. The Brie fondue was heavenly! I thoroughly enjoyed Aperitif Bistro!

Delicious food, yummy drinks, service was excellent. Our server Jackie was so friendly! Parking situation is tough so definitely give yourself plenty of time to try to find a spot.

As one of the few true French restaurants in our area, this place stands out on so many levels. The staff is attentive and wonderful, from the hostess, to the bartenders, to the waitstaff, right up to the head chef. The restaurant is large enough to support a large gathering, yet intimate for the perfect date night. There's also a great outdoor patio that doesn't get hit directly by the sun, so it's quite comfortable. As far as the good stuff is concerned, they know how to make a cocktail and the list is pretty extensive (other than wines by the glass). Our Brie appetizer (a special for the evening) was incredibly tasty and the beef Wellington I had as delicious. Slightly overcooked so maybe order one level down, but delicious nonetheless. We will definitely be back and I can't wait for my next meal here!

The four of us started at the bar. Aperitif has an excellent wine selection and my Rhône Valley red was full bodied, dry, and bold. I should have ordered cheese with this. Our bartender followed us to our table to continue our orders. The sole with capers was delicate and delicious and the mashed potatoes were delicious and not too rich. There was dining outside in the back and the service was excellent. One copatron enjoyed her red and white wine flight, and the rest of use enjoyed our Grenache/ Rhône and Sauvignon Blanc/ Sancerre wines. They make great espresso and coffee as well.

Every dish was bursting with flavor, and presented beautifully - we had mussels, crab cakes, rainbow trout, hanger steak and Beef Wellington, with perfectly cooked vegetables, followed by delicious desserts. EXCEPTIONAL!!! It's rare to find a place where the ambience, service, and food all stand out on their own--and even rarer to find them all in perfect harmony. Brasserie is a true gem. Saw a 1 star review saying "one and done" , "dessert was good", "all atmosphere", "just okay"…read more As much as I disagree with that assessment and personally feel that Pascal and Sabine is way better than "just okay"... that review should not equal 1 star. You're only review, you've only been once and decide to go onto a public forum and give 1 star. Anyway off my soapbox. Pascal and Sabine not only has some of the best cocktails and bartenders in Asbury but possibly NJ. I have been countless times with my wife, my kids, large groups you name it. My favorite way to experience Pascal is to sit at the bar get a couple cocktails (The Jackal is a staple), the Madame Smith Burger (my wife gets the Mr Smith) the fries are amazing, and maybe the escargot and just enjoy. It's up there with some of the most perfect nights out in Asbury you can have. Hope this 5 star review balance out a ridiculous 1 star review. - YH

Lovely hostess, great round bar seating with huge windows for people watching, and a genuinely charming and attentive bartender (Mike). We started with oysters from Newfoundland and cheese off the happy hour menu -- both great. My mom loved her lavender French 75 (a drink special), and my white wine was perfect (the name escapes me at the moment). The garlic soup deserves awards. I first had it two summers ago and still think about it -- I made my mom try it and she immediately understood my rave reviews. For entrées, her burger was cooked perfectly medium-rare, and my fish & chips absolutely hit the spot. Both came with generous portions of house-made fries and an unexpectedly addictive house honey-mustard. We had enough fries for leftovers, and I even asked for extra mustard to take home. Food, service, atmosphere, lighting, noise level -- all dialed in. A 10/10 experience!

The food is really good. Bread service set a strong tone - with crispy warm bread, butter and pâté (mmm meat paste). Tuna tartare app was tasty and well plated. Caesar salad was as expected - except foodservice croutons out of a bag (if they toasted up some bread for croutons with that pâté it would be a big elevation). The hanger steak could have been sliced across the grain, and the halibut portion was generous, but a little dry and the mashed potatoes had to carry a lot to help. Deserts were delicious, and the coffee was great. Specials board looked enticing, but as our first time there, we ate off the regular menu. We will be back for sure!

With both à la carte options and a $44 Prix Fixe menu, we went for the prix fixe -- and it was the best decision of the day. A truly enchanting brunch that felt as if we had slipped away to a cozy café in Paris. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with live soft jazz music setting the perfect tone. The staff was warm and attentive, anticipating every need -- even the bread served with a luxurious French butter with black sea salt was top notch. No land Lake served on their tables. Cocktails Bloody Mary -- perfectly mixed, bright and briny with just the right touch of horseradish Peach Bellini -- light, fruity, and beautifully balanced Appetizers Salmon Tartare -- diced fresh tuna , with a vibrant pesto sauce, served with crisp baguette toasts. Not only did the food roll off my tongue, but it was a substantial first course. Hubby opted for the Soup du jour, a comforting individual tureen of butternut squash soup, delicately garnished with sunflower seeds -- savory with just a hint of sweetness, the perfect bowl for a cold, rainy day. I had a few spoonfuls and can agree it was delicious and warming. Entrées So many options I really had a tough time picking one. So many classic French dishes, but the buckwheat crepe won out. A SMOKED SALMON CREPE Filled with chopped salade, in a buckwheat crêpe, sunny up egg. Great to the last bite. The waiter comes over with a huge tureen of chocolate mousse and scoops out a huge amount of it to add in your dessert plate . Quite the presentation. Paired with after-dinner drinks, this brunch was a seamless blend of French elegance and warmth -- every bite, every note of music, every detail thoughtfully done. There's also a separate lounge and bar area if you want to skip the formal dining room and just want light tapas and drinks. Their website says everything is made in house including the desserts. I had dinner here once before but it's been a hot minute since (my pre-Yelp days). This visit was for a friend's birthday and I wanted to introduce French cuisine to her. It was a brisk night out but nice and warm inside. Parking lot is located in the rear of the shopping plaza where this restaurant is located. Onto the food: we started with cocktails and ordered wine to pair with our dinner. For starters, we ordered the poached artichoke gratinee. The presentation was quite pretty, seasoned with chives, parsley, and Parmesan crumbs. I love most foods with cheese! Not shy about that! We also ordered the Hudson Valley foie gras, paired with a port poached pear and honey served with a cranberry brioche. It's an acquired taste that I really enjoy but if you're not into liver, then this dish is not for you. My friends never had foie gras so I ordered this to introduce it to them. This was also the swap since they didn't want escargot (overplayed by reputation for the cuisine). The third appetizer we chose was the crispy octopus. So many flavors in that plate, think olives, red pepper hummus and potatoes served with it. This was a great shareable dish and the dish was delicious as well as appetizing. For dinner: we shared all three entrees, 1) Herb crusted Rack of lamb, which I ordered medium temp. Divine! 2) Veal Chatelaine had a nice chestnuts and sherry sauce, very tender, and 3) Filet of Sole en croute, which the fish was moist and tucked inside the pastry shell. A bit thicker pastry than expected but the first was nicely seasoned. For dessert as I said, it was a friends' birthday...so despite all that food, we ordered three desserts to share as well. The Pistachio Tartufo, the Tiramisu and the creme brulee. All were delicious for the flavor profiles they were but I definitely preferred the creme brulee. The Pistachio Tartufo was really good - packed a lot of flavor. The tiramisu was light and airy.

I ordered UberEats from them before and was blown away by the tremendous offerings and generous portions. I decided to dine in and it was even better! The restaurant is located on the busy Northern Blvd between Morgan and Glenwood. The inside has a 19th century French ambiance, decorated with French posters, carpeted floors and a cozy warm dining area. Don't worry about the never ending traffic noise, commotion , and construction coming from outside. The calm and peaceful ambiance along with the music playing in the restaurant canceled out all the exterior noise. I opted in for their lunch buffet, which offered a ton of food for an amazing $18.95 deal which you can hardly find in this day and age. The restaurant gave a nice basket of warm bread with a generous amount of butter in a ramekin followed by a really good Tunisian salad with a little bit of everything. (fresh greens, cooked carrots, chickpea salad, diced cucumbers peppers and their take on the Ratatouille-- really good) I was given the option of getting their daily soup or the French Onion Soup with an up charge. I took the French option soup without any hesitation. Last time I had a good French onion soup was back when I attended college in upstate. Glad I got to try the one from here. The onion soup has an abundance of flavor with a generous amount of melted cheese and onions. The buffet selections were at the table. It came with two entrees (a chicken and a beef) cooked vegetables, mussels, mixed rice, cheese selection and slices bread cake. The entrees vary each day so be sure to call in and check. The chicken was moist, and juicy, served with a mushroom gravy. Similar to a Chicken Marsala dish. The stewed beef with mushrooms was nice and soft. The veggies included carrots and onions. The mussels were cooked to perfection, simmered in a nice buttery sauce. The meal also includes a cup of coffee or tea. What a great way to finish the meal. Marie was super nice and friendly. She gave me some insights on the food and the different menus they have on different days. A great establishment going strong for 47 years! Thank you Marie for everything. I will definitely be returning with my family.
