As someone who's often not impressed by these "viral" food spots, I definitely have to say that Apollo Bagels is worth the hype. I've come for the tomato w/cream cheese bagel twice. Once with everything and once with sesame. Both were good. I love a crisp bagel and this is perfect. Iced coffee is also solid. I need to try the fish options next time. Will absolutely be back!
Now this was a good bagel! I honestly can't believe it took me this long to try them. I love the open-faced concept as I find it gives the perfect topping to bagel ratio. And the bagels themselves are so crunchy on the outside but soft on the inside. The lines moves quickly and there isn't any seating inside but there's a cute park across the street to eat at if the weather is nice.
Crisply on the outside and chewy on the inside. Just the way a bagel should be. Sesame bagel with cream cheese to eat at the Starbucks across the street while I was getting work done on my computer there. Ran me $5 which was ok as the bagel was delish and they didn't skimp on the cream cheese. No seating here so it's basically order to go.
my favorite bagel in new york!! i appreciate the tomato option as a vegetarian, and the seasonings hit every time! the sourdough bagel has the perfect bite to it as well... get the everything bagel trust! i also appreciate that they are located right across from a park with seating and tables, and an apollo bagels trash can since the locations never have room to sit!
The TikTok hype brought me here. Like every "viral" spot in New York City, there was a line but it moves quickly. Menu is pretty simple. There is a small eating area inside, but it gets crowded; definitely a grab and go experience. I will be getting these again!
Was visiting NYC for a quick weekend trip and had to give Apollo Bagels a try after seeing it online. Came by during lunchtime where there was a steady stream of people. Got the tomato and cream cheese everything bagel, and a sesame bagel with the scallion cream cheese. This spot is a bit small and definitely a grab-and-go with no seating, though if the weather cooperates it is right across a park. The bagels were huge and nicely chewy, and freshly made. For what it is, the bagels are a bit pricy but a nice treat.
First time trying Apollo Bagels and it was a 10/10 experience. One of my favorite bagel spots that I tried in New York! I ordered the smoked salmon bagel and absolutely loved it. The bagel was fresh, the ingredients tasted high quality, and everything paired together perfectly. The inside was quite spacious, and all of the workers were very kind and welcoming. If you're in New York and looking for a good bagel spot, I definitely recommend giving Apollo Bagels a try. I'll definitely be back the next time I visit!

I can confidently say this is my favorite bagel in the city. I love the flavor of their sourdough bagels. It really elevates the experience! I've tried everything, and they're all great. My favorite is the tomato bagel with scallion cream cheese. The tomato offers a nice refreshing bite, and when paired with the scallion cream cheese and everything bagel, you get three great flavors culminating together for the perfect bite. Now, the line can be really long, but it moves extremely fast. They have their systems down, which is so nice, Unfortunately, there is no seating inside, so you have to find a nearby area to post up, but it is definitely worth it for the delicious bagels!
Apollo's Bagels is my new favorite bagel in New York City. I came twice while visiting NY and it did not disappoint! There is always a line but it moves pretty fast. There isn't a place to sit at this location. My favorite is the Tomato Bagel. It is simple, and flavorful. The bagel is soft and perfectly toasted. The tomato is drizzled with olive oil, sea salt, and pepper. It is the perfect bite every time. I had it both times with a sesame bagel. We also tried a regular bagel with cream cheese. The bagel was soft and perfectly toasted. We had the sesame bagel with butter and jam. The bagel was soft and the jam was sweet. It was a bit too sweet for my taste, but it would be perfect to split with someone else and maybe have a savory and sweet bagel. Last but definitely not least, do not sleep on the orange juice here. They freshly make it and it is so sweet! It is so refreshing and delicious. It complements the bagels very well. Overall Apollo's bagels did not disappoint!

Always love Apollo! Workers are always kind! Bagel was very tough (it's a sourdough bagel so I expected that) Whitefish bagel is always a hit, with the mustard and crunchy cucumber!!! So good! Can't wait to come back
We finally made our way to try Apollo Bagel in the afternoon on a Saturday. There was a line out the door, but it steadily moved. I was excited to try it due to the great reviews and hype, but to be honest... I don't get it. The smoked salmon bagel ($15 +$1) was decent but the salmon was a bit too salty for me and the everything bagel was a little too crispy, as well. I paid extra for the scallion cream cheese, and I couldn't even taste the scallion. read more
We came here around 9am (short line) and it took about 15-20min for our order to come out after ordering. It was pretty busy inside the store and not too much space to stand around to wait. I noticed more and more people coming after we got our order. We ordered iced coffee, plain toasted bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers and dill, and everything toasted bagels with scallion cream cheese. Everything was delicious I really enjoyed the bagel (not too much bread inside but crispy and chewy). The bagel was the perfect crispness and crunchiness. Lines around the block?? For bagels. Surely, the future is wacked. We never had these problems in the 80s! Well, Apollo has arrived in New York City with 3 locations. These bagels got their start from a Williamsburg oven and soon the word spread like cream cheese. They are unique, with a sourdough fermentation and has the correct thickness of our beloved *NYC bagel. My father is law is in town so I want to surprise him with bagels from the buzziest NYC bagel spot. My wife walks in (that's right, no line at 8am) and she's taken back by the choices: Plain Sesame Everything That's it. Apollo bagels aren't playing around. You have a choice of three or GTFO out. We're having company so she also ordered scallion cream cheese, 1/2 lb of smoked salmon and whitefish salad. Smoked Salmon I was very surprised how their brand of packaged fish is very tasty. This ain't Russ & Daughters with a guy slicing fish. Apollo is Grab it and go! The fish was very fresh and mild. It was welcomed on my bagel. White Fish Also, very mild and tasty. I was surprised by the texture. Again, it tasted very fresh and was spreadable. Bagels Hmm.. three choices and no poppy?! Brah, c'mon. Poppy is the superior bagel! The sourdough bagels at home, I had to toast mine. Stop clutching your pearls, they are now day old bagels. My sister in law loved the sourdough, me? I don't think I'm a fan. The bagels we ordered were so good. I can't believe the cream cheese tomato on an everything bagel was my favorite. I ain't a tomato fan but this was good. The salmon one was good but a bit salty to me. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

Such good bagels that are worth the hype. I came here during a trip to NYC with my sister who lives in the city. When I said I wanted to eat bagels, she recommended Apollo, so I knew that it would be good since it was coming from someone who lives in NYC. We came on a Saturday at around 11 AM and there was a long line outside, but the workers seem to know how to get everyone through efficiently. We both ordered the smoked salmon on an everything bagel, which came with smoked salmon, red onion, dill, capers, and cream cheese. We had to wait a while for our bagels, but it was so worth it. The bagel was perfectly toasted but still chewy. The smoked salmon was decadent and had just the right amount of salt. The workers put a generous amount of cream cheese, but it didn't overwhelm any of the other ingredients. Honestly, I don't even like red onion or capers that much but they paired perfectly with the other ingredients. 10/10 bagel. I'll be sure to come back when I visit NYC again! read more
Watched so many vlogs on YouTube and IG recommendations- so glad we came here! This place did NOT disappoint. Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious and so filling! The service was great & I'm so glad we arrived early to beat the line. It got pretty long after we left. I loved the neighborhood too! So jealous they get to live near this spot! My favorite bagels of all time!!! Tried quite a few of NYC's most popular bagels and Apollo takes the cake. I went three days out of five on our trip; it was that good. I love the simplicity of their menu. Each time, my order was the same; everything bagel with cream cheese, smoked salmon, red onion, capers and dill. They have truly perfected the sourdough bagel. Still chewy with great texture and the perfect crunch. You can tell the salmon is good quality too. I love Apollo Bagels so much; I wish they sold better merch. The same woman worked the register for each visit, she was friendly and warm and let us know that the owner of Apollo Bagels also owned 7th St Burger. read more
I could quite literally eat 1,0000000 of these bagels. Crispy chewy perfectness all in one lil package ... the topping are soooo damn fresh !! My favorite bagel shop ever. The smoked salmon bagel is delicious and aesthetic. Here they make open-faced bagels and the smoked salmon is fresh paired with the perfect amount of cream cheese. The onions, capers, and dill give the extra flavor. I also tried the whitefish cucumber pickle bagel and was amazed at how good it was too. I will keep coming back! The wait for the bagels has been around 15-20 mins each time I go. read more

This is one of my favorite bagel spots in the city. The line is defintiely worth it and they do generally move fairly fast. The bagels are perfectly toasted and are the right thickness. They are well seasoned not over or under salted. I love this idea of adding grilled tomatoes and onions to the bagel. It enhances everything and tastes so good. Price: Very reasonably priced especially for the amount you're getting Ambiance: This is a quick pick up and go type of place. It's big enough that you can stand comfortably and wait for food. If you're 1-2 people you could sit at a small table and eat there. read more

Lots of hype around Apollo bagels and I'm glad I got to finally try it! I got an everything bagel with scallion cream cheese, tomato and onion. It was really good and everything combined worked well. There was a line to get in for Sunday morning but it goes by quickly. We took our bagels and walked over to Washington square park to enjoy them. It was the perfect morning and these bagels were definitely a hit read more
The bagel was SO good! Everything from the bagel itself, to the seasoning, to the olive oil on top was so tasty. The long line moved pretty well and it was totally worth the wait. The guy helping run the line did an amazing job making sure everyone knew where to wait and where to stand. Staff were totally on top of things once you got inside. I loved the iced coffee too! One of the best smoked salmon bagels I've ever had! Bagels are really chewy and more sourdough like than Popup. They're very different, but Apollo feels like breakfast while Popup feels like a snack. If I had to choose between the two, I'd go with Apollo. Wish it was closer to Ktown, had to go pretty out of the way...but worth it. read more
Came at noon on a Tuesday with a friend and there was no line. I was skeptical of this place (as I am with most TikTok'd/viral spots) but it was actually amazing. My friend and I split an everything with scallion cream cheese and tomato (fantastic), and an everything with lox and plain cream cheese (that one was the best). I also got a ginger lemonade (perfect). Ingredients were super fresh and flavorful. I love open-face bagels -- anyone who grew up with a bagel spread at home should relate -- and generally prefer them to the sandwich versions you get at most bagel stores, especially when you're working with lots of toppings. (Obviously not counting BECs; those should always be a sandwich.) So this place delivers on that front. read more
What a perfect bagel experience. Not overrated and totally lives up to the hype. My bagel was on the thinner side (which was great because I don't enjoy big chewy and doughy bagels) which also made it toast up super crispy. Even the toast job itself was perfectly golden brown. They applied the exact right amount of scallion cream cheese and I got to custom my bagel with cucumbers, tomato, pickled peppers, and dill. Such a perfect bite of bagel. The line wasn't that bad either. Total wait time was 20 minutes. When in NY, you know what to do! read more

Got their sesame bagel with whitefish. It was quite salty, so it really needed to be paired with a drink, but it was tasty with the cucumbers and dill. I also enjoyed the toasted sourdough bagel, although it's less fluffy/thick/chewy compared to other places. read more
The cream cheese and tomato bagel is amazing, with a perfect spread of cream cheese and a very fresh and juicy tomato to pair with it. The smoked salmon bagel is also great, although I felt like the salmon flavor was slightly overpowering. I think the bagel itself is a bit too crispy for my taste (I prefer softer, fluffier bagels), but I think some people would prefer this kind of bagel more. Overall these bagels are worth a try, but be prepared to wait in line. They do not have any seating inside, and it's a pretty small store. read more

I was chatting with a local in line who said that this was his favorite bagel in the city so knew it had to be legit. I loved the texture and flavor of the bagel, it was very crispy. This place always has a line, which is why I haven't gone. I finally gave in since I was nearby on a Saturday morning. The line was long (25ish folks), but moved fairly quick and they have an employee keeping the line organized. I waited maybe 15ish minutes (this was around 10-10:30am). The place is small and there is no seating or restroom. All orders are to go. They only have three bagel options (plain, everything, and sesame). I kinda like this because you don't stand there confused with too many options. Basic cream cheese, butter, jam, etc. Pay $1 more and get the scallion cream cheese or a vegan option. I got the everything bagel toasted with the scallion cream cheese. This was boxed and ready to go within 2-3 minutes of ordering. Stopped by the park next door to sit and enjoy my bagel. Nicely toasted and generous helping of cream cheese. So good! read more

I love a really good bagel when in New York. I had a list of a few top bagel places to try, and I ended up at Apollo. We arrived at just the right moment with not many people in line, but shortly after we arrived a decent line of people formed. The line moved fairly quickly. The options are fairly simple, but oh so delicious. We ordered a tomato bagel and a Smoked Salmon bagel. Both were phenomenal. The lox had the perfect amount of cream cheese and was topped with tasty smoked salmon, red onions, capers, and dill. The Tomato bagel was simpler with just a slice of tomato, cream cheese, and olive oil, but it was packed with flavor. The bagels had the perfect crunch but still soft inside. I paired my bagel with a fresh squeezed orange juice. There was a cute little park nearby to sit and eat. Perfection! read more

One of the best bagels I've ever had. I came on a Saturday morning around brunch time to a very long line. Luckily, the line moved pretty fast, and I ended up waiting around 20 minutes. There is no place to sit inside the shop, so I took my bagels to eat in Washington Square Park nearby. I stuck with the classic combination of an everything bagel with lox and cream cheese. The ratio of all the ingredients was perfect. The lox tasted nice and fresh, and the bagel wasn't too dense like some other places. I definitely think this place is a contender for best bagel in the city. read more
We came here on a sunday early afternoon and although there was a bit of a line, we thought it went by quickly enough and were able to order in around 15 minutes.
