This place has changed completely from the past owners. It's decor, quality of food, and prices have all changed for the better. We got breakfast from here the other day and we will be back. A dear friend recommended I try the Apollo Beach Diner. He is pretty picky about his restaurant recommendations. He said their breakfasts were great and their hamburgers were spectacular. My wife and I had breakfast there this morning. My friend was right. The diner is excellent. Nice ambiance. Excellent, prompt, friendly service. Food was excellent. Nice presentation. Reasonable prices. We are certain to go back often. My one recommendation is that they add some "heart healthy" items to their menu. Fresh fruit and low-fat yogurt would appeal to the health-conscious​ crowd. read more

My new favorite / "go to" place for Sunday breakfast (or breakfast any old day). Time to say "goodbye" to Popi's / Ruskin diner, and say "hello" to Apollo Beach Diner. We've been looking for a new place for breakfast, and this place has won our hearts and stomachs. Although they offer the typical breakfast staples (bacon, eggs, and hash browns), they've combined the traditional "eggs and bacon" with things like cinnamon french toast (yummy), fluffy & fruity pancakes, biscuits w/sausage gravy, etc. And they've given their breakfast plates clever bay-themed names like: the "low tide", the "high tide", the "sandbar", etc. The food was quite good, but what impressed me even more was the staff. They are all super-friendly, they are cheerful, they brighten your morning, and you get the impression that they really enjoy working there. They make you feel like family. Sorry Popi's / Ruskin Diner (or whatever you name yourself next) -- There is a new kid in town that provides a much better overall experience to their patrons. read more

Wow what a gem! It appears to be recently reopened. On a local recommendation we tried it and have been back 4 times this week. Funny thing is we have a friend who doesn't like eggs and she raved over their omelettes. We have had breakfast (highly recommend an omelette or egg special with home fries). The coffee is really good and fresh. For lunch the cheese steak sandwich and BLT are definite repeats. The staff is very attentive and super pleasant. It may be a small location but the service was fantastic and can't beat the food and price. It is definitely one of our favorite local places in Apollo Beach. read more

The food was good here. We only ate breakfast but I enjoyed the taste. The corned beed hash was great and the pancakes were delicious. The helping were more than plenty. It was a little small on the inside so if it were ever crowded, I could see it being a little wait. Also, they close at 2 pm. read more

This place is under new management and I must say, this place was bright and delicious. You sit wherever you want and thr service was FAST. The servers helped each other out. It's a small place so the servers can't hide behind the walls to chit chat but then again, that's good because they are always available. I selected them mainly because they have Mickey Mouse pancakes... Major plus for children. I would definitely return with friends and family. read more

The food is great FOR the price point. I ordered their low tide breakfast with a side order of biscuits and gravy. Service was great. My SO ordered the sunrise and I sampled his toast and home fries. Liked: price point for food quality, service. Also French toast was great. Disliked: Flavor of Margarine (guessing) as butter doesn't taste like harsh synthetic chemicals. Also not impressed with bland flavor of the biscuit and gravy. Additionally the sausage patty didn't have a lot of flavor. Lastly the cheap syrup they serve (high fructose corn syrup). Last one is not a big deal as I usually bring my own with me as I recognize restaurants need to make a profit as pure maple syrup is pricey. I knew better than to order eggs Benedict as it would be packaged or a Restaurant Depot type deal. Definitely not home made. My SO has less of a refined culinary palate and very much enjoyed his food. We will be back; however, next time I will know which items to steer clear of. Nice for the area. read more

The pancakes were super dry and tasteless and the eggs were soggy. The bacon was tasteless. Never going here again.

I love this place, my wife have been going to this place for years. Love that they recently remodeled the inside of the place. Ashley was our server and she is always so attentive to our needs. My wife passed recently, but I still go there for the foods and the memories. Got the grilled ham and cheesed sandwich the last time I was in there, good gracious, too much for one person to eat. But the good thing is, it was lunch the next day, food for thought, LOL. read more

I'm can't recommend this diner enough! I have been wanting to go since I moved here in July. My son and i finally got to visit yesterday. The food was amazing at a really good price, but the customer service was even better. The ladies working greeted us immediately and we picked a booth. The booth had been cleaned yet, but they immediately met us at the table and cleaned it before we even sat down. The lady who cleaned our table took our drink order and about 30seconds later another lady came by to make sure that it had been taken. This shows they really care about customer service imo. We ordered our food and it was out within 10minutes. It was delicious and nicely presented. Before I left they offered my a coffee to take. When I was getting up I realized I couldn't cary it because of my toddler and all our stuff, so I left it. On the way out, the lady who waited on up realized I left it on the table and offered to carry it for me since my hands were full. That was really kind of her and I appreciated it so much. My son and I will defiantly be back. I'm not sure who owns the diner, but if you're reading this, know the ladies you have are awesome at their job! read more

Been here a few times, it is very close to my house and one of the few breakfast spots around town. The coffee here is great! The food is good, I have had the omelet, the corn beef hash, and the steak and eggs. The steak for the steak and eggs is more of a ground burger patty, it was still good but not what I was expecting. The corn beef hash looks like it came right out of a can and was really oily. I would love to see them make real homemade corn beef hash. I would also love to see them have some healthier choices on their menu as well (fruit, yogurt and granola, etc). The recently remodeled it so it's got a very cute, clean look and a good diner atmosphere. They do a good job seating people so there is hardly much of a wait, I have never waited to sit myself, typically going around 9/930am on a weekend. The service is on point for drinks when you first arrive, food orders, the drink refills could be faster but overall great staff. I will continue to come back to this local breakfast spot and recommend to others read more

This place is excellent. Being from NYC I miss going to a diner and this place brought me back home with a flavor of the South Shore. We showed up 10 minutes before closing and Victoria, our server, was courteous and constantly checked in with us. There was no rush whatsoever! They have a great menu and lots of diner favorites to choose from without being overwhelming. Their homemade onion rings are a must...crispy and delicious. Their homemade chips were just as delicious..crispy until the last bite. The food was not salty and very flavorful. Hubby's cheeseburger was cooked to perfection! I had a BLT with crispy, not burnt, bacon. Delicious! We will be back. There's so much more to try! Give this place a Chance. Bet you'll agree with me! read more
