Amazing customer service and our food was served super quickly but not at the cost of quality!…read more The vibe was chill, even 45 minutes before closing time. All the customers were happy and the employees were smiling and kind and responsive. I had the Jonny burger and my wife had the caesar salad- both of us agree they were delicious! Leslie and Megan were the two outstanding employees who helped us order and brought us our food and answered our questions. I didn't interact with the chefs at all, but they sure whipped up some good food super fast so they deserve credit too! One thing I noticed is that Megan and Leslie were super kind and cheerful from the minute we walked in. I overheard Leslie mention to Megan that she was working a "clo-pen" which is a closing shift followed by an opening shift. The thing that stood out is that Leslie was HAPPY to work the clopen. I've never heard an employee (even my wife who is a manager for Dutch Bros) not complain about doing a clopen. Props to her!! The staff who worked tonight 8/14/26 should all get raises. Management, take note. You've got some amazing employees who proved to the customers tonight that they deserve raises, and they proved it without even intending to. Great food, great service, great staff, and a lovely environment for us to enjoy!! (Of course, I wouldn't suggest everyone come in right before closing but even when we did, we only had the best experience- as if it were the starts of the staff's shifts)

Mediocre at best! I would not recommend going to Wayback burgers! It's just not very good!…read more We ordered 3 burgers, onion rings, and cheese curds. Quality of burger was just okay. Flavor was just okay. We got the cheese curds and were absolutely shocked at the quantity that we received. The photo I'm sharing is the exact amount we got!! Tiny tiny portion!! We paid almost 7 dollars for this! What a joke! Smallest proportion ever! I really should've taken them back, because this is a joke!!! The onion rings were just OK, they were soggy and kind of gross Service was slow. We waited quite a while for our burgers and sides. The restaurant is clean and decorated really nicely. The decor and the cleanliness of the restaurant is the highlight of our meal! The food definitely is not good. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Definitely over priced for the burgers and it's one of those, but everything separate places, so it's even more for fries. We got the Cajun burger and a buffalo chicken blt. The burger was good with the lettuce and tomato but without it would be pretty greasy. The chicken was VERY good. It was a nice size, juicy chicken and personally a big fan of the buffalo sauce. The bacon was a little weird, seemed cold and like it was cooked in the morning. Service was good for us but we were the only customers there. I would come back again with this coupon but probably not without it :/

You can tell the owner takes a lot of pride in what he does. Tonight his special was wild bison, burgers which I ordered and I also ordered the mushroom Swiss burger. I really liked the mushroom Swiss burger. He said that that's one of his favorites and I can see why. I thought the food was really tasty. It was $50 for 2 burgers and 2 fries. I like to frequent local places, so this will be a burger place that I will keep in rotation. Check them out.

I am not sure what I was expecting, but I definitely thought they were in a more centralized location. They are not too far from State Street but not close to too many other businesses either. The great news is, they have a wide open parking lot with plenty of spaces. Their food truck is super cute. It hardly looks like a truck and resembles more of a massive wagon. They really went all out with the branding and I am here for it. With it being a parked food truck, they didn't have a lobby or an inside but they did have some tables and chairs right outside their truck. Upon approaching the truck, a guy came to stand beside me and take my order. I was not 100% sure what I wanted but I elected for their signature burger with fries. He said that he could bring it out to my car once it was ready, which I extra appreciated because it was not a very nice day out. My total was just shy of 20 bucks, at $19.27. I sorta understand. I mean, they're a local food truck and it seems that they strive to provide much better quality food than other fast food places...but this is pretty steep for just a burger and fries. The food did seem to come out pretty fast and I was excited to try it. The onion on the burger was a bit large, it was almost an inch thick and I think I would've preferred it cut up just a little more. The fries were pretty good but tasted a bit greasier than I would've liked. I did like that it came with a fry sauce. All in all, I really liked Burger Pioneers. I felt that all the flavors were a bit overpowering and almost bitter because of the greasy taste, but it wasn't a bad burger spot. I hope to be back when the weather is nicer with some friends. This is probably such a cute, fun spot in the summer time!
