Points for being a Mexican restaurant that has clearly a labeled and available vegetarian option... but it's absolutely terrible. My friend who loves this place stands by their bowls, so I've really tried to give them a chance. I could look past the bizarre choice to only offer falafel when the topping and serving options make zero sense as pairings--I like experimental combinations and food hybrids--if they actually gave you any flavor. Instead, my friend gets a bowl heaping with steak while I get a small handful of falafel balls on a massive pile of rice. I figured maybe it was just server error--clearly my bowl looked nothing like my friend's. But I tried again. And again. Three times I've ordered the falafel burrito bowl, and three times they've given me 95% plain white rice. The quality is good, the restaurant is clean enough, the service is decent. Just don't bring your vegetarian friends or they'll have an awful, overpriced time. read more

Guys. I'm here to report that after over 4 separate visits over the last two months that 180 is back. Our tacos (Baja, Buffalo, Cascabel, and Carnitas) tonight were perfect. Tried this place with a friend and it was okay. I honestly felt very ripped off and nickel and dimed. Their options are very limited at the base costs so look out for up charges. I ended up getting two steak tacos and they were good. We ordered the loaded chips and it took forever to be done almost until we were done eating and no one came in after us for a while so I'm not sure what the hold up was there unless they just forgot about it. There's not a lot of seating so be warned on a busy night you might be caught standing. I wouldn't go back but it was an okay option if you're in the area. read more

My husband and I have been coming here for years. I recommend this place if you are craving tacos that aren't your typical Mexican "onion & cilantro" tacos. The tacos they serve here are unique and the flavors are memorable. My personal favorites are the Cascabel Chile Chicken tacos and the Old Skool Steak Asada tacos. I never thought I would like carrots on a taco... but here I am. My husband orders every other taco on the menu when we come, so it's safe to say everything is good. I haven't ventured outside of the tacos so I can't speak to any of their sides or bowls. The only complaint I have is their corn tortillas. They are quite thin. They are delicious and homemade but after a couple bites the whole thing rips open and I'm eating my taco with a fork. Nobody should ever have to eat their taco with a fork. read more

I always get the Buffalo chicken and Aalisa gets the carne and also the Buffalo. The tator tot ranch and Buffalo side is really good as well. Add another store farther north. read more

180 Tacos is not your traditional taco spot (and that's not a bad thing!) Their tacos are totally unique, but they also sell the classics. I stayed traditional and ordered 2 Steak Asada Tacos and the Loaded House Chips to share. The tacos were fresh and filling. The avocado with the asada was delicious. I will definitely order them again. The Loaded House Chips were so good and full of flavor! I could taste lime in every bite (I love lime) and the ranch was a great pairing with the chips. They have roped off every other table as a precaution for Covid so there is social distancing among those who dine in. They also have outside seating. Came here last night to celebrate a special occasion, so we went all out and ordered 6 tacos-- their top 4 most popular ones + al pastor + falafel. Hands down one of the most fun and yummy meals I've had in awhile. Each taco was SO unique and flavorful. After much discussion, we decided that our number #1 favorite was the Korean BBQ pork, followed by the falafel and steak tacos. The servers there were also SUPER helpful. They observed that it was our first time there and jumped in to answer any questions or offer recommendations. We only got tacos, but they also have rice bowls, taco salad, and different appetizers on their menu! Last but not least- they have Stubborn brand sofa as their fountain drink and it was so good. Such fun flavors-- pineapple cream soda, draft cola, açaí berry agave, and orange hibiscus, etc. Such a great experience, and we are already planning for the next time we go back to try the other flavors! read more

We used to really love this place! If I were rating the old version, it would get 5 stars. I think there must've been a change in ownership. Now, the prices are a little steeper, there are less options, and the quality of food feels a bit off. I will say the Asian Nachos (that I always get) still had great flavor and my husband liked his tacos! However, he said he probably won't be coming back now that they don't offer hot sauce... lol I'm not sure if that's true, but that's what the kid who brought our food said. 180 tacos has a little bit of a different spin on traditional tacos. I got the cascabel tacos that had a great tangy taste + a side of the rice. The chicken included pickled carrots which gave it a amazing tasting. The rice had some feta and I added in some salsa for more taste. read more

My experience was a 5-star: great ambiance, great service, great recommendations, fresh food! The al pastor meat was succulent! It was by far my favorite. My second favorite was their monthly special, the Banh Mi. Banh mi's are not my favorite but I went off the employee's recommendation and boy, I'm glad I did! The first bite was just ok but by the end I was wishing for more. Weird experience but I legitimately enjoyed it. Sadly, both were just specials, so if they were wise, they'd make those regular menu items. ;) If I have any critiques, they are small and probably personal preference. I would love to see actual kimchi on the Korean bbq tacos- now THAT would be an amazing taco! The mock kimchi just didn't do it for me like I hoped. What happened?! I moved out of state for a few years and had this place at the top of my list for when I knew I was moving back. The wide variety and 'global tour' of tacos is GONE- reduced to about 4 options. I was mortified and sad to hear a change in owner and you can definitely sense that. They are trying to make the same items but cutting back on food costs to make more money and you can taste it. Definitely just a shell of what used to be. Fish taco: repulsive, I only took one bite. The server scraped the bottom of the tray for fish meat crumbs and loaded it in my tortilla. Should've gotten a new tray. Shrimp: also trash, tasted like poor imitation Pf Chang's shrimp. The innovation with the flavors needs to be better. Carne asada: not bad, but not special Chile chicken: tasted like Christmas dessert because of the spiced carrots. Of the 3 I tried, liked the buffalo chicken taco (flour tortilla), then the Korean pork (flour tortilla), then the steak asada (corn tortilla). I got three tacos, 1 corn tortilla and 2 flour: Steak asada, Korean bbq pork, and NY buffalo chicken tacos. The Korean bbq was probably the best and they give large portions of meat for such a small taco. The steak asada was super dry and bland, it needed some veggies or something in a bad way. The flavor of the buffalo chicken was okay, but it was smothered in greasy sauce that literally got everywhere. And one of the chicken tenders was pure gristle so that was unpleasant. I was really hoping for some awesome fusion tacos, but these were just okay. The service was poor as well. The guy wasn't very helpful when I asked what popular items on the menu were. I was also there with a friend and my food came out right away, after ten minutes hers still wasn't out and when we asked the guy said he had just forgot it. Didn't apologize or anything. What a fun and delicious experience! We stopped in for tacos that would be a little different and discovered 180degrees-different. I guess that's the point! What surprised us most and improved our experience the most were the extras... the Loaded House Chips and the Malasadas. I could go back for just those. Ok, maybe I'd have to get a taco too! We met the owner while we were there and were not surprised to learn that he has been a chef for years and years. Each bite tasted like it was crafted and designed with purpose. The food is AMAZING and it's a different and fun environment, especially for a date night. We brought kids with us and I would not recommend this location for people with kids. I had the buffalo chicken tacos with a flour tortilla and it is my favorite thing there. It has a great buffalo flavor, but it is not 2 spicy. I loved the chips and salsa, the tortilla chips are thick and the salsas are very flavorful. The reason I gave 3 stars is because the service was SOOO SOOO SOOO slow. We waited in line for 30 minutes, and there was no urgency to get the line moving. The wait was so bad that we almost left, but we had already waited for so long, that we decided to stay. The wait almost made the food not taste as good because we were so stressed from waiting. It is a "cafe rio" style where you order and take your food with you to sit down. Not my favorite place but not the worst place. I personally like my meat in smaller pieces rather than large chunks, but that's just preference. I had high expectations for the carne asada and it didn't come through for me. Too fatty to the point I spent a couple mins chewing on the same piece before giving up and spitting it out. The service here was extremely fast, but we arrived JUST before the lunch rush, and as we were eating, the line boomed and went out the door. They still seemed to be moving through line pretty quickly, but it stayed busy, and there is pretty limited seating available. I got a steak taco on flour tortilla and chile chicken on corn tortilla and made it a combo with the mac and cheese. The chicken taco was good, not great, slightly dry in the composition. The steak taco was perfect - just the right amount of meat and veg in the tortilla, and you can ask for it without jalapeños if you're like me and don't always want the fire in your mouth. I didn't like the corn tortilla, and it was a pretty common consensus in our group that the flour tortillas were infinitely better. The mac and cheese is unique and wonderful. The combos are a good price, but next time I will be content with one taco and a side for lunch. Among their fountain drinks is a large selection of Stubborn Soda, and we liked trying the different flavors - I loved the pineapple cream soda. Then my friend suggested going and I was confused. He showed me the original location and have now been back 2 more times. Fantastic place to eat. Such great tasting tacos, and unique flavors that really gives this place an edge over your 'normal' taco places. That being said, let me explain more: this isn't your average taco joint. They have unique flavors that are not constrained to your normal recipes of 'tacos', however they try to be fun and throw in other things, such as asian, Polynesian, and other meat flavors. It really comes together in the form of a taco and tastes great. With that out of the way, I have only been there once. It's not an amazing place to me, but a good place. I had their Mac and Cheese, which wasn't your normal Mac & Cheese, but with Chimichurri sauce. Not my fav, but it was good. Wished it was creamier, or something. Then I had their Friday special, which was a delicious al pastor taco. ALSO THEY MAKE THEIR OWN CORN TORTILLAS WHICH IS A HUGE PLUS IN MY BOOK. Those assembly-line burrito joints so beloved by Utahns have got nothing on 180 Tacos. Five stars for the food here. I particularly like getting the tacos as a rice bowl (Korean bbq pork is my go-to unless there's a special like bahn mi or al pastor). Nice choices for everyone including kids. Downsides: Pepsi products only. But the thing that subtracts a star for me is their inability to handle crowds. I usually go off peak hours so it's not a problem, but if there is the slightest crowd it's slow and chaotic. You'll usually get one person who's fast and one or two that are slow, and since it's assembly line style, that means traffic jams. If they ever got as busy as those burrito places (which they ought to based on taste) then the line situation would become unbearable. Go off peak and it's five stars all the way. read more
