I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately it was not a good experience. It looks really nice and clean inside which is hard to say about some nail places. My nail tech was really detailed but honestly that's all the pros. They don't have a huge selection of gel colors. It's one booklet and maybe like 5 neutral/pink colors to choose from. While my nail tech was detailed she really cut up my cuticle on my pinky. I was bleeding the entire time. Even had to ask her to wipe the blood off my nail before applying polish.....very awk. I've never had to wear a bandaid as I'm getting my nails done. Yes I was bleeding that much. It was nice of her to give me bandaids to take home but LOL. That's not what you call a good nail experience. My gel is kind of lumpy/uneven as well. No discount was applied either. I went for a pedicure and never again. The nail tech only scrubbed one foot and extremely gentle which I told her before hand that I had rough skin and a callus which she obviously didn't pay attention because I actually had to come back home and scrub my feet myself after paying $58 for a shellac pedi. My cuticles don't even look like they were done either. Stressful day thought I would get some type of relieve and relaxation but unfortunately went to the wrong place smh. I took pics for proof. This place is awesome! They have a nice big clean space with plenty of pedicure chairs. Although I got a manicure this time I'll be back for a pedicure! I have long natural nails and usually other salons will file them short and I hate it. But I was with Dana and she listened to exactly what I said. I've never had that happen at a nail salon. I'm very pleased! I like that everything is clean and sterilized as well. My only complaint is that the online booking does not refresh if there are cancellations so sometimes it's best to just call if your on a short time limit. read more

They have consistently gone down in the service they provide. The last 3 times I have gone for a mani/pedi it has not been consistent at all! Some rush through the service and others take their time. Today I walked out with 2 hangnails on my hands. My big toe on my left foot is completely un-even and the polish is lumpy on one toe. My husband who had the same service and started at the same exact time as me, was there almost 25 minutes past when my technician finished. If you're looking for a pedicure, you MUST come here. Had a pedi done by Ha, and almost fell asleep in the massage chair from the utter relaxation I felt. Massage, oils, creams and hot towels were perfect. I remember thinking I don't care how much this costs, it's totally worth it, and my bill was under $40. I chose a bright red which can be tricky to fix if there are any mistakes, and it came out beautifully with clean lines and no smudges. I also appreciated their gender neutral bathroom, and general welcomeness to any human being. I also got a shellac manicure here from Linh and was extremely pleased with the results. Expect to spend an hour for a pedicure and about 45 minutes for a mani. In my opinion, you won't want to go anywhere else. Parking can be tricky, but is free in the neighborhoods nearby. read more

I love my manicure! I don't get my nails done very often so this was definitely a treat. I had Tina and though she was quiet, I didn't mind at all. She was VERY focused and I could tell she was experienced. My nails came out perfect- they were gel so if there was any accidental paint somewhere it shouldn't be you'd be able to tell. I think I read a previous review that said there weren't many gel colors to choose from? That has definitely been corrected as I was handed a key ring of all their sample colors and it seemed like plenty to choose from to me. I'm pretty rough with my hands and as a result I often have broken nails. For some reason both my middle fingers were broken, but I asked her for an oval shape on the other nails and just to clean up the middles the best she could. She did a wonderful job and I am quite pleased! The shop is very clean and organized. My appointment was at 1:15, I came in at 1:11 and was seated/started at around 1:15. Didn't wait long at all, but I do love the waiting area so I wouldn't have minded a few minutes longer. Additionally it was really easy for me to call ahead and make an appointment same day. It lasted roughly 45 minutes which I think was a great time considering I watched her working/using the entire time. The only downside I have is that it is kind of expensive. I also noticed that they have a written schedule they go off of so when I read in earlier reviews that there was a discrepancy between online/actual appointments that's probably why. I would probably suggest calling if you're trying to make a day of appointment. Overall I think I'll be returning! read more

The complimentary foot/calf massage was impressive and it honestly felt like it lasted about 10 minutes. It's been an embarrassingly long time since my last pedicure (almost 6 months) and there was a lot of work to be done. However whatever magic she did to my cuticles and nails was absolutely PAINLESS and she made a huuuuuge difference (won't get into too much detail about my neglected toes). Getting a pedicure isn't just about having your toes painted. Many places rush to get you finished, but here they take their time and make it a very relaxing enjoyable experience. Had a last minute idea to get pedicures after work with my coworker and thankfully they had chairs open. They've never had a pedicure before and bc of their presenting gender almost didn't get a color but decided that's what they needed, they got to us right away and massaged our feet's, rubbed hot stones and towels on our legs and did a great job at the actual nails! Very sweet ladies who will have conversation with you if that's what you want or will let you enjoy their magical services in your own thoughts. I have thought a great deal before writing this post. I can see that this is a very popular place and many have experienced lovely experiences. Yet, I have also noticed that there are a few reviews that encountered the misfortune that I had to endure last week. I made the appointment for 11:00 online. When I arrived, the appointment was handwritten in their calendar book (along with other handwritten scheduling), but mine was scheduled for 10:45. The desk clerk begin with a speech about the late policy, but I interrupted him to show my email confirmation for 11:00. He then said he would have to speak to his manager. The manager later approached me at 11:10 to inform me that they will "squeeze" me in. After waiting for another ten minutes, I was finally "squeezed" in. As I waited, I looked around. I have been here many times before with no problem except for parking, it is very clean, shiny, pleasant yet some of the clinicians seemed bored with their task. I experienced that with my last manicure. So . . . I am off to explore another place for my services, perhaps with more professionalism and happier clinicians. read more

after over 80$ for my shellac pedicure I left with a very sore toe from her going too deep into my cuticle which hurt so much and cutting my nails too short, and there was dried shellac around the edges of my nails afterwards. I have been here many times and it's fine. But today was not great. It started with them telling me l booked a manicure instead of a pedicure. I have never had a manicure so that was really odd. They were able to fit me in, which I appreciated. The tech was fine and gave me my bill. I was charged for a"spa pedicure" for $44 and in the deception it says 45 minutes. I thought | was getting an express pedicure cause I was only in the chair for 30 minutes and that's what an express pedicure says. So I asked and they said I got the "spa pedicure cause it had a foot massage. But I said it was only a 30 minute appointment. "Well that's just an estimate of how long it'll take" I said, if I book an hour massage I expect an hour appointment. Once again they argued that sometimes they need to remove old polish ect. I've been coming here from the Eastside for a couple of years. Appointments usually begin and end on time and I have always enjoyed the experience. Had to stop getting shellac manicures because they were too damaging to my nails. The polish on the regular manicures and pedicures last a long time so I know they have been applied correctly. I can get away with 4-6 weeks before needing a new pedicure and 2-3 weeks for manicures. read more

This is, hands down, the best nail salon I have ever been to. I have been going here at least once a month for the past year and a half, and I swear each time it gets better. I get shellac, and it always lasts at least two weeks. I have seen many different nail techs, and they are all exceptional! Nina is my favorite, but I am happy to see anyone. They all do beautiful work, and clearly take their jobs seriously - they will make you feel like your nails are a precious work of art! I always get compliments on my nails, and they are well deserved. The salon is very clean, the tools the employees use are clearly sanitized, and I have never experienced pain or broken skin during a service. Apollo is my favorite spot to go for pedicures on the Hill. First, they have about 20 chairs, so it's likely you'll get in on the day you wish to get your service. Although they accept walk-ins, I'd recommend that you call ahead or book online to ensure your appointment! Apollo's staff is professional, the salon is clean, and they give a substantial massage with your pedicure service. They don't have ever single nail polish, which isn't ideal, but I usually bring in my own color so I can touch up throughout the month (i'm a klutz and kick a lot of walls accidentally). My pedicure lasts, despite my klutziness, and I really feel like I'm getting a good deal and a great service every time. read more

The technicians are amazing but my bad experience came from the front desk staff. I have been a loyal customer for over 5 years, coming almost monthly and bringing friends and family. I will never go again. I was treated so coldly and horribly for something that was out of my control. I had an appointment booked for over a month I was so looking forward to it, when I showed up late (after calling and confirming I was going to be late) they turned me away.
