Apollo special
Amanda H.

Pizza was fantastic!! THE CRUST perfect very fresh ingredients menu states sauce and crust made daily and It definitely seems to ring true!! Will definitely order again. Many servers walking around checking on guests. Wonderful attentiveness refilled water and drink glasses checked in on our table. Very family oriented environment!! Try it out

Pizza looking like a slice cooked back in 1993. Apollos went back in time and brought this garbage to the future

That Safeway special was $47 bills and was totally undercooked as I told them "well done and crispy". That is not "Sicilian", hit up NY and see what a "Sicilian" is. The other is a cheese pie they purchased out of the Jacks section of the pizza aisle. Looks like a $5 deli pizza special from 1993. Thanks for the throw back, but there's a reason the past stays in the past.

Halibut sandwich

We stopped by for lunch. They were out of salmon. Halibut sandwich consisted of fried fish sticks, a slice of cheese, some lettuce, red onions and dressing on a bun. The salad was a side, instead of fries. The waitress was nice.

We decided to come here for dinner close to 8 pm on a Friday and it was completely empty, except for the staff. I ordered the fried mozzarella to start out with, which came within 5 minutes. I was confused as to why it was served on top of a bed of shredded lettuce? I've never seen that before and found it quite odd. The mozzarella sticks tasted like it was frozen from a box in my experience. There was nothing special to it. The pizza came out pretty quickly too and it was super floppy. Every time you try to pick it up the toppings and cheese would fall off. It was quite irritating, but it tasty good nonetheless. The kitchen closed at 8:15 so we had to order quickly. Not sure if this is an everyday thing or just certain days of the week. It was an overall cute place with plenty of seating inside located in downtown Seward near the harbor. Nice area, but pretty empty due to the end of the season.

Cheese Pizza

The food was good and that's what gets Apollo 3 stars. We had a basic cheese pizza and a salmon spaghetti special of the day and both were good. Portions were decent but overall the food is pricey as was our experience in seward at other places too. Now with so much abundance of salmon in Alaska, I'd expect it to be cheaper. But I wonder whether the brown bears get them all, raising the cost for humans. We were not so impressed with the service. The gentleman who seated us didn't seem like he was happy to see us. The server was nice and friendly but the service was just super slow. It took really long to be seated, for someone to even come take our order and then for the food to come out. We thought of leaving a couple of times but hung on there because we were so hungry.

This place is perfect vacations food, big pieces of fish my favorite was the halibut. everything was really good. They have great Italian food. Pizza was excellent large portions. Nice to clean. Definitely go to this place. Wonderful for families. There's something for everyone. Large menu with different things.

A cute little spot serving up Italian and Greek eats in Seward. They're open later than most places, but are also a tad understaffed -- the wait for getting a table and also the food to arrive was pretty long. That being said, our server was so nice and checked in to see if everything was good! The food here is solid, comfort food -- I wouldn't say anything knocked it out of the park flavor-wise but the ravioli had lots of cheesy goodness and the pizza was pretty tasty too. The portions here were also very large and I recommend ordering any pizzas and pastas family-style!

This wasn't my first dining choice for Seward, but the place I wanted to go was not open. We ended up here and dinner was good. I had the seafood pasta and my friend had the lasagna, both were very filling and tasty. The breadsticks were SUPER yummm! I jokingly told him I wonder if they are frozen because my taste really does range, sometimes I'll really like something that isn't even homemade and other times I can despise it. Either way, get the breadsticks - they come with most of the entrees I believe. I also had a nice glass of red wine. All in all, there is really little to nothing open in AK in October we were grateful to have a warm meal that tasted good and great service.

During summer time, all the restaurants were packed and has a long wait so we decided to come here as we were able to be seated in 10 minutes. They were severely understaffed and you can tell how stressed out the waitresses were. We ordered salad and it was never served. We got the halibut fish and chips and thick pizza. The fish and chips were good; wish the fish or batter had a bit more seasoning. The thick pizza was overwhelming with the amount of dough; definitely way more than it should be. Even my friends who love pizza thought it was too much. Would not recommend getting the thick pizza; maybe their regular pizza is better.

Today I remembered to do all the things including take pictures of my food. I walked in and was seated immediately, I chose to sit at the bar because it's just easier and the chairs all have better cushion. After seeing another patron eating a burger i decided to order one too! Great choice. I had the jalapeño burger with bacon jam and man was it delicious. The burger was a perfect medium well, the brioche bun was perfectly toasted, the white cheddar cheese was the perfect complement to the slightly sweet bacon jam, the bacon was crispy, Smokey and not greasy. The only complaint was the slice of tomato that is out of season and tasteless. I mean it is Alaska after all. My seafood chowder which I paid an additional $4.00 for a cup was okay but whatever, the burger made up for it. All in all it was a great experience and delicious meal. Because it was the middle of the afternoon on a weekday, the place wasn't as packed and noisy as it can be sometimes. The ambiance was super relaxed today so I sat and ate inside. If you are ever in Seward, check this place out.

On the walls hung artwork by Alaskan artists. Had great views of the mountains while dining. Service was great. Our server knew the menu very well and answered all our questions. Food was very good. They were all presented and arranged carefully and were very visually appealing. Alaskan salmon was Japanese inspired with contrasting textures of crunchy breaded broccolini and soft carrots and potatoes, aioli glaze and unagi sauce. Halibut sandwich had generous parts of the fish. It had rosemary flavor with little kick. The veggies had some sweet flavor in them. Summertime cake was soft pound cake with strawberry sauce and candied orange. Good for sharing. Because our experience was very good, we went back the following morning for breakfast. Breakfast buffet was offered. American breakfast was hearty. It had two eggs, yummy potatoes, sausage (or bacon), and toast. Eggs benedict was good too. Our server Alma was friendly. We had great experience here - food, ambiance, and service.

I got the halibut and loved it--perfectly cooked, super meaty, tender, and flavorful. The mashed potatoes and Brussels sprouts on the side were also delicious. My husband had the sockeye salmon with rice and Brussels sprouts. He really enjoyed it, though I wasn't a big fan of the rice. Our server was super friendly too and we loved the "high-end" ambiance. Perhaps it's considered a fine dining?

The bakery has such a cute, cozy vibe with plants and other fun little items for sale, making it a nice place to browse while you wait. I also grabbed the overnight oats to bring with me on a boat tour, which was perfect for a quick breakfast on the go. They accept credit cards, but there's a discount if you pay with cash. As soon as I walked by the shop, the smell of freshly baked bread pulls me right in--I knew I had to stop. Everything is baked fresh in the morning, and it was so good I went back two days in a row. On day one, I tried the ham and cheese bun--absolute cheesy heaven. Ask them to heat it up. The gooey cheese, crisp bread, and generous ham chunks are next-level. I also tried the garlic cream cheese bread. Pricey at $10.50, but worth every bite--so good I'm drooling just writing about it. On day two, I went for the BBQ pork bun and wow--it tasted like home. I can really pick up the Chinese five spice, and the filling is generous and satisfying. One note: they don't serve espresso during the summer, just regular drip coffee. But honestly? The breads alone earn this place a 100/100. The service was fantastic. The lady behind the counter, Giok, was incredibly kind and welcoming Note ~~~~ This is an Asian-style bakery, with breads made in Japanese and Chinese methods. If you're expecting European style baked goods, this might not be the place for you--which probably explains why a few reviewers left feeling "disappointed.
