We love the fact that no matter what color framing you choose the price is the same whereas others charge more for color selection. i would like to comment on the fine service and repair of my double 8 ft. door screens that Southern California Screen installed . The price was fantastic and the quality is very good. It was hard to have a good estimate on these French doors. My neighbor had 2 installed from a competitor and always had problems. I had a hiccup on one screen and Nick had it taken apart in 5 minutes and ordered a part and 2 days later it was fixed. Nick even waited for me 10 extra minutes and fixed it with a smile and speed. All is well that ends well. I bought a Clearview retractable screen about 18 months ago. It never quite closed correctly. Randy had his tech Nick come out to my house 3 different times until he was finally able to figure out that the roller was defective from the factory and then replaced the roller and now everything is perfect. I consider this Great customer service. After 18 months they replaced the screen so I could have one that works properly. I've read some of the reviews and can only say that Randy is a very busy guy, but if you speak directly to him, he'll make good on whatever he needs to do to keep his good name. Unfortunately the door won't stay shut using just the single magnetic latch. The frame appears to be a bit warped and does not stay closed on its own without using the separate lock. I like the screen and it works wonderfully in every other way. I am hoping I can get our installer to come back and place a second magnetic latch and/or straighten the frame. read more

Could not be happier with this company. We screened the whole house and love how our yard looks now that we aren't looking through our old screens. They are well made, too... as we've had two people try to walk through the screens because they are indeed nearly invisible when in use, and they caused no lasting damage. Scheduling was easy, everything was explained and the pricing was as promised. You know, the way service should be. Doing it right should be the default. But a company really shows you who they are when there is a problem. We had a big rainstorm (huge for So Cal) and the next morning when we went out to our detached bonus room... water had gotten under the brand new french doors. Turns out our threshold is nearly flat and so water gathered between the door and the screen sill. The screen sill is designed to drain, but it drained under the door even faster. We called SCS on monday, and they sent someone out the next day. Nick arrived with a solution in mind and the tools to execute the plan. (A few extra drain holes) No charge, no mess and next time we get a couple day's worth of rain in twenty minutes... no problem. read more

The very very best retractable screen door. This is the only retractable screen door that does not slam shut! I did a lot of research before choosing this one as they are expensive. Mine was put in a few years ago and still works well. I keep the track clean and spray silicone on the track above and below a couple times per year and it works flawlessly. I love that when it is closed it is barely detectable. In fact my dogs tried to run through it since they couldn't see it was closed. Only took once and they now wait for me to open it. read more

I finally found a regional number and they said they would send him a message to contact me. I tried calling once again and he FINALLY answered. Spent a lot of time researching and looking at competitor product, but didn't find anything else that compared. Note: the metal door pull is worth the extra expense. The reason for the 4 stars is that, since we just had it installed, we don't know how this screen will perform over time, nor how the company will stand behind their product. I have been wanting a screen for my French doors in my Master since moving into my new house a few months ago, but wasn't sure about what to get. Told a friend in my neighborhood that I was looking and she mentioned she just got a Clear View screen door from Southern California Screen and was really happy with the whole experience, so I gave them a call. Randy answered and was able to come over that afternoon to show me the product and take measurements. I was sold the minute he showed it to me and ordered it. One week later Ryan came over to install it. He was polite, on time and professional.
