Super cute late night cocktail lounge. They had a live dj playing a little bit of house music in the background but too loud to the point where you can't converse. Drinks do run on the pricy side about $20 each but they're all specialty cocktails with a rotating menu. They have indoor tables which you can reserve or the out door patio! Cannot wait to come back here for date night!

Whoever designed this space is seriously so talented! The color palette of the indoor space is so exquisite and tasteful. I love that it has all the vintage elements for a true speakeasy experience. Also, the outdoor patio has such a dreamy vibe - cozy nooks surrounded by pretty bougainvillea and romantic warm lighting. Drinks were slightly expensive but delicious. They don't have a food menu as expected but we did get their bar bites offerings: the olives and assorted nuts and chips - no complaints there. Our server was so attentive and explained each drink with detail as well gave us suggestions based on our preference. Come for the drinks, stay for the ambiance!

I don't know why we have not been here before. This place has sexy low lighting with a goth feel. Hope I described it correctly. All I know is that the service was good, drinks were great. Decorating was nice, inside and outside. Lots of seating with ample space in between areas. We sat in a small secluded area towards the back and we found this area perfect. The wife and I put this on our list to host a birthday or get together with family and friends for a birthday, an event we want to celebrate or just a night out. Located in an industrial area with paid parking but we elected to park down the street on public street and save $15. We def will be back and recommend to fellow Yelpers and friends.

Little nook in the back patio

Walking around after dinner, admiring the murals outside, a small glowing light caught my eye of what looked like a flask straight out of my old chemistry lab. Something about it felt inviting. My partner and I walked closer and saw a doorman standing outside. Not even knowing what the place was, I asked, "Do we need a reservation?" He smiled and said, "No, just walk right in." So we did. And wow. A curtain opened to an entirely different world. Inside was a bar glowing from within, framed by velvet couches and a dark, dimly lit room designed to spotlight the bar and walls. It felt theatrical. Sexy. Dark. Sophisticated. I'm pretty sure the staff clocked my reaction immediately. Held my lady's hand, mouth slightly open, smiling, that unmistakable look of sensory overload like, what did I just walk into? As I explored more, I realized the space wraps around outdoors, which was equally impressive. The patio was lush with plants, candle-lit tables, lounge chairs, and an intimate, relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a date night. After collecting myself, we headed back to the bar and noticed the pharmacy-themed mixology concept. Bartenders in white coats, like pharmacists, crafting drinks in beakers and Erlenmeyer flasks, stirring with glass rods. It was playful and clever without feeling gimmicky. I ordered their take on an Old Fashioned, and my date had a gin-based cocktail. Both were excellent, balanced, thoughtful, and well executed. We eventually discovered a hidden downstairs nook outside with two lounge chairs, a small table, and a candle. It felt incredibly private and intimate, like sitting in your own backyard under the stars, completely forgetting there was a lively bar just upstairs. That moment alone made the experience special. As the night went on, the crowd grew and the energy shifted. It was louder, more cheerful, more alive. My old soul kicked in around 10 p.m., quietly signaling it was time for bed. Still, I left genuinely impressed. Hidden gem or not, Apotheke is a gem nonetheless. An experience that feels curated, immersive, and memorable. A place you stumble into once and immediately want to bring someone back to.

First impressions will always matter. Apotheke, you did okay. Cocktails on point. (No food served here) Mixologist courteous and dressed for it. Small cocktail menu but well curated and inventive. Dj was cool on the night I attended. A small area to dance indoors. The bar outdoors had no service on a Friday night. (I don't think this is good) The water dispenser was never refilled for us to serve our own water. (So what's the point?) I sat at a table outside with my date and 10-15 minutes later a server with a "tude" came and asked us to move because the table had been reserved. This is understandable; the issue is that I asked: "do you have tables I can reserve now?" He looked at me with a dumbfounded look on his face and said: "go online and check. I don't know" with a condescending attitude. (Like I was bothering him-it's not what he said, it's how he said it, really) Luckily, there were some cool people that made the night more fun. But one server with a poor attitude will get a business closed down. Note this; they follow time to the clock. (Stop mixing cocktails before 1AM and security rushes everyone out as soon as lights turn on) RUSHING..... I believe in second chances. I will swing by one more time and see how that goes. P. S. The bathroom space is limited. Also, they were dirty and it was not near closing time. But....... Apotheke you're on to something. Happy and Joyous holidays to you all...

Great bar if you're looking to experience unique, well-curated drinks. It's a low-key spot early on, but after 10 p.m. a DJ comes in and it turns into a fun place to dance.

We walked into Apotheke Chinatown around 7 PM on a Saturday night and were surprised to get a table right away--no wait at all, which is rare for a Saturday in NYC. I ordered the Melon King Fizz, and it was such a standout. Made with gin, eucalyptus, cantaloupe, calamansi, hawthorne berry, lime, and club soda, it was refreshing, citrusy, and slightly herbal in the best way. You can really taste the care that goes into it--the ingredients are house-made daily using organic produce, herbs, and botanicals. The cocktail menu is unlike anything I've seen. It's divided into six categories: Health & Beauty, Aphrodisiacs, Pain Killers, Euphorics, Stimulants, and Stress Relievers. Each drink feels intentional and rooted in Apotheke's apothecary theme, which carries through in the decor and vibe too - moody, cozy, and a little mysterious. Highly recommend if you're looking for a cocktail experience that's a little off the beaten path but still totally polished.

Best cocktails I've ever had! Went to the one in New York and it was an inviting atmosphere, ordered a drink with chili oil and sesame in it and wow!! Favorite cocktail ever! Service was friendly (:

Stopped by here on Saturday night and it was great. The DJ was playing really great music and there were a few people dancing. The cocktails here are all very unique and the mixologist are all very attentive and quick. The outside area is also great and they have heaters which help tolerate the cooler weather.

Their drinks were a little extra. We tried their fancy cocktails but then switched to classic ones. DJ was awesome. Decor was so pretty. Definitely a fun night out!

Cool place to grab innovative drinks with a date or friends, I ordered the Coyote, a spicy mezcal based cocktail that had all the right flavors. My date ordered an old fashion which was strong but nothing special. The vibe inside and on the outdoor patio is great, it's just a shame they allow cigs on the outside patio where everyone can smell it. Also, roofie kits being offered aren't a good side either. Other than that, the interior design is awesome and the location gives off a speakeasy vibe.

Great ambiance, great drinks, great vibe, great service. I'm a fan of fruity drinks so the forgotten breeze was exactly what was needed. April snow was good too but the forgotten breeze was just that much better in my opinion.

I had dinner at majordomo then walked through a gorgeous courtyard to this slightly hidden gem! Immediately upon entry I was enchanted. So cute and plenty of space at 8 pm on a Saturday night. I got the harvest, and my boyfriend got a Roma. I definitely preferred mine - it was lightly sweet and refreshing. Roma was good but very strong. Definitely more of a mezcal/espresso martini vibes. The bartender was more than happy to answer any questions, which I really appreciated since it was my first time. I couldn't believe they had a drink with malört, so if you're from Chicago and feeling nostalgic........ Overall, yes, the drinks are on the higher end, but also pretty standard craft cocktail pricing in Los Angeles. We were also able to grab seats without a reservation because it was so early, but as we were leaving ~9, people were starting to arrive for their tables. Would love to go back if in the area and a fun place to take someone.

Yes at the outside patio no inside smoking

Is smoking permitted on the patio?

Is this a good place to celebrate a birthday with a group of about 20 friends?

It’s more of a sit down, wine down kind of feel and talking amongst your friends. If your having a birthday for a group of 20, and you want music and want to dance kind of vibe, I would suggest looking for another spot.

Is there a line on Saturdays to get in? If so is it generally long?

Yes , the drink take forever to be made . So better get 2 drinks at once and then have it one by one .

How much are drinks? I noticed the menus posted don't have any prices.

They range anywhere from like $14-$20 depending on the drink, of course.

    Any live bands and when?

No live bad but there was a DJ and a small dance floor.

When's a good night for dancing?

    Never, not that kinda place.

What kind of music on a Saturday nite?

DJ playing a mix of tracks

Are there other bars nearby? Or is it a secluded area?

It is a bit secluded as the area is up and coming. But there is a nice new restaurant Majordormo in the same lot and a new Highland Park Brewery about 3 blocks away. Chinatown a few blocks from there too.

Is there parking or options for lowered cars?

Hello and thanks for your message! We have a small parking lot adjacent to our place, valet and street parking in the neighborhood. Not sure how any of that relates to lowered cars. Cheers!

What is the dress code here ? Casual?

Don't think they have a strict dress code but I'd say smart casual. Button down shirts seemed the norm.

Indoor and outdoor seating available, Bar Henry is a cool little for in Echo Park serving up tasty cocktails in a friendly, local feeling environment. We tried a few cocktails when we visited. The Butthole Surfer is their version of a pina colada which, while decent, could have been a little more flavor forward. Feel it is premade in batches as I didn't see it made fresh but was brought getting the back, but still decent. The Lucid Dream had the smokiness from the mezcal posted with the mandarin, but then the rosemary comes in and helps add a little balance to the drink. The Swimsuit Edition was more flavor forward, but the passion fruit didn't necessarily pop in the drink for us. And finally was the Snitches Get Stitches, another mezcal drink with mango and horchats. Interesting was my first thought, then you start getting the nuances of the different interested and it's a respectable cocktail. We arrived at around 6:30 PM so it wasn't too busy. We were greeted by one of the servers and she gave us options to either sit at a lounge table area or hightop tables. We opted for the hightop tables because we knew we weren't staying there for long. The server was friendly and patient as we looked over the menu for drinks. He had a panini and said for bar food it was a 10/10. We waited maybe like 10 minutes for our drinks to come, we were having such a fun time chatting and enjoying the environment that it didn't feel long at all. My boyfriend, his cousin, and his cousin's girlfriend really enjoyed their drinks. They said the drinks tasted "light" insinuating that there was barely any alcohol in it. Don't let the taste fool you, after finishing half of their drink there were full of smiles, giggles, and had a great buzz going.
