Inside the veggie spring rolls (seemingly 95% cabbage and glass noodles)
    Greg B.

I stopped at AppeThai to place an order to go before an event at nearby Brown Deer Park. It was 4:45pm, so just before any sort of dinner rush, and all I ordered was beef pad see ew and veggie spring rolls. I was quoted 15 to 20 minutes. At the 30 minute mark I asked to be refunded so I could leave because I was now going to be late meeting people at the park. The hostess apologized and went into the kitchen to talk to someone about it. From the dining room I heard someone laughingly exclaim "he wants a refund?". The hostess then came back out and told me that no one was working who could give me a refund. My food finally came out 5 minutes later, so 15 minutes past the longer end of the estimate. I don't frankly care how the food tasted (I've had better beef pad see ew elsewhere and the greasy spring rolls were 95% cabbage and glass noodles). The customer service was horrible. I don't buy for a second that no one was there that could give a refund and it certainly wasn't a request that should have been laughed at. Given their poor customer service, mediocre food, and high prices, I'm surprised they manage to stay in business at all.

Absolutely fantastic super cute place. Everyone was so friendly. The food was really good. I also love a good boba and it was yummy. Atmosphere was nice open and organic feeling.

The two times I have been here it'e been great. The first time we ate at the restaurant. We called beforehand and got a large table for our group. The place has a very warm feel. The place isn't too spacious but keeps a very Asian themeing. Entering we were welcomed by the staff that clearly enjoys their job. Staff can make or break a place and this place masters it. There a little trinkets you can buy from small businesses there. Sitting down we got to our table and may I say these chairs were very confertable. We ordered a few appetizers like crispy squid, soup and got some drinks. As we talked and waited I just admired the room around me. From the paintings to the light fixtures this place definatly dosen't skimp on looks. The squid was just ok(Im not a big squid guy anyways) but the soup was very flavorful and overall delicious. I ordered some noodles and beef. More waiting. There were 10 of us so as you know food can take time. This place is a favorite in the community. I have been told to go by many people. I think they have a fantastic reputation and really don't ever mess up. The food finally came and wow, they don't skimp on content. There was so much food. The noodles had little contrast from the beef and it all tasted like a perfect blend. We went back for carry out and it was good again. Everything there is very filling and great!

Typically a lunch item but they made it for dinner

Very enjoyable and tasty Thai food. Classics available and served in a clean an aesthetic environment. The calamari appetizer was exceptional. The only missed star - they don't let you customize the heat/spice level and some may find some dishes hit although there are offerings at different spice levels. Service was great as well. Plenty of parking.

We love this place. Order takeout every couple weeks. Easy to order online. Sometimes it gets a bit busy on Saturday evening.

As a lover of local (and national) Thai food lover, I mjust say this is by far the BEST Thai food I've ever had. The flavors are bold and fresh, and seems to be made with a lot of TLC. I can't wait to go back and try their version of Volcano chicken. If you love other local Thai restaurants than you'll love this and won't be disappointed! Since they were takeout only I called them in advance with no luck after calling a few times so I ordered in person and did not take them long to have my order ready, maybe 10 mins max. Food was great. It came out fresh and hot. Careful With the eggroll when fresh out of the fryer. It was pretty good. I would try their other dish next time, maybe the pads see Ew or we'll see what I'm feeling for next time! Street parking. Place is pretty simple, it's takeout only so you have space to walk in and order at the front and you can wait outside or sit at the sole chair by the register.

The place was packed on a Saturday afternoon, so the greeter gave us some menus and let us know we could order and he'd find a table for us ASAP. We got to the counter and the cashier told us it would be a 45 minute wait. We accepted this and ordered anyway. We picked a curry, a noodle dish, and a Thai beer each. The cashier was very friendly. The original greeter found us a table almost immediately after we paid and mentioned the beer is especially nice over ice, so we took his recommendation. Beers came quickly, but food did take at least a half hour, as the cashier mentioned. Table and dining room were clean and nicely decorated with warm lighting and relaxing music. Bathrooms were also clean. Food was very good and flavorful. The portions were decent. We were full, ate most of our dishes, and didn't take anything home. The original greeter came back and checked on us while we were eating. Service was fantastic throughout the experience. The food was pricey, but aligns with other Thai restaurant prices in the area. Dishes were around $20. The whole experience was worth it. We will be returning!

I ordered Thai tea and it had zero flavor and not the traditional color that I grew up on, very light in color so light on the tea. Papaya salad was more salty than the sweet there is typically the perfect balance of fish sauce and lime but just wasn't what I'm used to. The OG wings were great, great flavor, great cook. They use huge wings but cut them in half. The mango sticky rice had a perfect amount of coconut mixture but uses a different mango that is more tart than sweet. They were busy, people order to dine in and for carry out. The food took roughly 35-40 minutes, which was fine, not mad about fresh food. It is a really cute restaurant in a strip mall with a good amount of parking, but it can be hard to find parking when neighboring businesses are also busy. You order from the counter and sit down and they bring your food to you. I'm glad I tried it but likely will try other places next time. Cost was roughly $35.
