[[HIGHLIGHT]]Charming, little restaurant and bakery attached to a beautiful hotel.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Ample parking and spacious indoors.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very clean and well kept, you can tell that whoever runs it is proud of this property and businesses.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had the steak and house potatoes. It was cooked to perfection (medium) and served on a bed of green salsa that was flavorful without being overly spicy. My wife had their biscuits and gravy with hash browns, eggs and a side of ham steak. It was one of the best breakfast meals I had on our trip. Service was excellent, attentive and friendly. After our meal, we got a couple of their popular tarts to enjoy beach side. All in all, a great experience.

This place was near our hotel in Saint Louis Obispo so we went and had some breakfasts. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Walked in the front door and you feel that you're back in the farm country dining experience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We had their breakfast special and have asked to have our hash brown extra crispy and it was cooked to perfection. The server was so nice. Made sure that our coffee cups were topped off. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Nice view of the hills from the dining area.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Charming country-style brunch restaurant with homemade bakery. The menu offers fresh, homestyle dishes. Server was prompt and friendly. Nice spot to relax, enjoy freshly cooked meal and also has a cute selection of small gifts. Cozy ambiance, delicious food and freshly baked pastries what more could you ask for:)

Pretty good overall! The food was good and service was fast. The hotel was giving a $10 off promo at the restaurant which was great!

Apple Pancakes!! That ice cream topping is incredible! Not your typical "ice cream" for sure. The garden omelette was very very good, fresh ingredients, very nice! Jam, salsa, coffee - all excellent! Our server Rafael was very friendly and attentive. We're staying at the Apple Farm Inn next door, what a great experience!

Quality/Quantity - Not sure why this place is so special for my daughter (and wife). I am assuming they both have had some GREAT memories here...? I know my wife used to come with her girl friends, etc. Anyways, another one of our traditions is to stop by and get some pies, pastries, etc. Sadly not today as they were closed for renovations. Atmosphere - Prior to the renovation, this was always a busy business. But good thing they have a separate area for to-go pies and pastries. As that was our go-to, pun intended. Plenty of parking. Actually today, like almost all the businesses we frequented, we were the only customers?!?! Note to self - A good time of the year for me to visit. Service - N/A. Price - Usually above average prices, but that is the cost to keep my wife and daughter happy, lol. Owner Comment - Looking forward to seeing your renovations. If on schedule, I will just happen to be back when you are done next year.

Garden Tea Experience - The setting was lovely, out on the patio on a beautiful spring day on the Central Coast. From what I understand the place is under new management/maybe ownership. I really do wish them success but I don't think they are quite ready to offer a tea experience, especially when BredaSLO offers the a tea experience for roughly the same price and have their tea time dialed in. My guess is Apple Farm is trying to offer something that they are not quite prepared for or have enough knowledge of it to make it a success. Following some tradition while offering something unique can be done but too many tea time stapled were a big miss and not so many hits. Our server, was very nice, but she seemed overwhelmed, maybe she is new, I can't hold that against anyone because it can take a little getting used to working in the service industry for some. My first suggestion for a better experience will start off with the tea offering, not a single traditional tea was offered; no Earl Grey, English Breakfast or Darjeeling. Which was not a deal breaker for me. But the break from tradition continued, none of the tea sandwiches had the crust cut off, the presentation was a little messy and we ended up missing one of the options that was part of the menu (I won't even mention that the traditional cucumber sandwich was nowhere to be seen, I just happen to enjoy that in my afternoon tea experiences). The scone course is traditionally the middle tier and pretty much the star of the show if you ask me. However, the scones were the size of a half dollar, placed on the sweets tier without clotted cream. The sweets tier had the baby scones, some banana bread but the middle tier again was all sweets. The tiers felt unbalanced, the presentation was messy and the serving tray was plastic to give insult to injury. I wish this place success in trying to offer a tea experience but there is much room for improvement. If you are in SLO, visit Breda for tea time. But if you are looking for fantastic, in my opinion, a better afternoon tea than Breda, try One Room Coffee in Lompoc.

Look how stressed out I was at breakfast!

My mom was so excited that we were going to the Apple Farm after she had a wonderful experience in the 1990's. Our experience was horrible. The coffee was weak and cold. The creamer was fake. We waited 30 minutes for cold breakfast. The bacon seemed like it had been previously cooked. The server forgot our silverware. The food did not come out together. The room was so cold I had to on my hood of my sweatshirt. When asked for one meal to be heated up the server did not come back for 5 or more Minutes with the microwaved burrito. The toast was even mediocre. It is not your Apple Farm of the past.

Do you have patio seating available?

Yes, a beautiful patio facing the green mountains

I opted to do a trio with the bahn mi, tip o' Argentina, and the garlic fries. The food was good I forgot to take a picture! The tip o' Argentina was solid with the garlic aioli and the chimmichurri perfectly complimenting the steak and the lettuce and tomato adding a little bit of freshness. The buns they use for all of their sliders are soft, slightly sweet, and don't fall apart while you're eating. The Bahn Mi was even better. I love pork but was a little skeptical about pulled pork on a slider riffing on the flavors of a bahn mi. To my surprise and delight, it tasted just like grilled Vietnamese pork, which was perfectly complimented by the fresh and pickled veggies and surprisingly hot jalapeño. Finally, I got the garlic fries which were a massive portion, crisp, and very garlicky. Very cleaver mix of Mexican and traditional entrees, along with a full scale coffee bar that would compete well against any of the commercial brew houses around. KV Lemon Poppyseed Waffle ($15) with real maple syrup, Carnitas Scramble ($16) bowl with three eggs, salsa and feta, Bonetti Bowl ($17) of potato hash and sausage saute topped with 2 eggs, bacon strips, and chipotle aioli and, Biscuits & Gravy ($14) topped with country sausage gravy, 2 over medium eggs and two bacon. Both breakfasts were loaded with flavor and the freshly brewed coffees topped it all off. We ate inside, as it was chilly outdoors, but there are tables outside on a patio and deck. I placed my order on the kiosk, which I found very easy to use. I ordered Smoothie 5 and Panini 6. This came out to $36.97. For the smoothie, I subbed out strawberries (because I'm allergic) and added bananas. I found that to be a really great option that they have at no extra charge. For the panini, I didn't realize they had half and full orders until I got up to the kiosk. I opted for the full order, and then realized once I sat down that I probably would have been better off with the half option. My smoothie arrived at the table at 11:49, whereas my panini arrived at 11:53, so the wait in total was about 15 minutes which is not bad at all for how busy it was. My friends ordered the Greens 5 with prosciutto, Toast 4, Bowl 1, Bowl 6, and everyone agreed that we would definitely come back. One thing that was funny to us is that we felt like the photos on the menu looked smaller than the portions that actually arrived. My friend ordered the Greens and a Bowl thinking it would be small, and she realized very quickly that she was going to need a takeout box for her salad. (This is a good problem to have, rather than the other way around!). The service was also top notch. Even though I ordered on the kiosk, I was still able to interact with the employees, as they frequently came around to ask if they could clear off plates from our table. I also went up to the front to ask for a box, and she kindly directed me to where the boxes were located that I could just grab. Next time, I would definitely mentally prepare myself for how busy it is, but for the quality of ingredients, and the portion size, I think it is great and would definitely come back.

So, we decided to go here instead of Starbucks. I get Starbucks often for the convenience but wanted a good cup of coffee, not my mediocre "usual." We were a group of five, with three kiddos; two were on the younger side and a bit picky. Once we figured out what the kids wanted, we went to the counter to order at 11:03 AM. As you can imagine, getting two little girls out of their comfort zone for our late "breakfast" took a little work. When we reached the counter to order, the cashier told us, "Oh, sorry, we stop serving the bagel sandwiches at 11 AM," as she removed the bagel menu that had been sitting on the counter. That's fine, if that is policy, then that is policy. The rest of us placed our orders. I was able to get my daughter to order avocado toast but my sister had to take my niece across the way to Starbucks for a bagel. So, when I came in to grab my food and saw bagel sandwiches on the counter prepared, I assumed someone had ordered them before us. I was wrong because, while I was waiting for our food, a man who had been in line behind us came up and grabbed one of them. Shortly after that, I noticed a woman came into the café as I was getting some napkins eating a bagel sandwich. That was an even bigger shock because she had come in at least ten minutes after us. On top of that the cashier seemed incredibly annoyed with us when we asked questions about the menu and made substitutions. Long story short, the food we did get was great, however, the entire situation was super frustrating. The avocado toast with prosciutto and burrata was delicious, and my chai latte hit the spot. Due to running to multiple places to get everyone else situated, I didn't really get to sit and enjoy my meal, and neither did my sister. We won't be going back in the future due to our experience with the cashier.

Outdoor seating, indoor group seating and even a few private seats in the corner that give it a VIP ambiance. Hidden inside was a narrow lounge area with turntables with a bar area at the end. A DJ was set to start at 8pm. The music genre schedule varies. I will return. The burrito was top tier. Side of chips added to the filling satisfaction. It was past 7pm and the place was still hoppin' with groups on the outdoor patio, back room lounge and main area. It has more of a restaurant/club vibe than a coffee shop which gives it a special charm. When asked about their chai the friendly barista was happy to share that they don't use dry powder, they use a spicy concentrate. That's one plus!! But, it's not a house brew, it's basic Third Street Chai you buy off the shelf at the local grocer, chef supply, or natural foods store :( To their credit, they heat it up well and top it with a fancy cinnamon design on the milk foam. When asked if there is a local chai, the barista (who is a chai fan) couldn't think of any. This explains why the local reviews were so good for mediocre concentrate. While the chai quest was a miss here in SLO, Kreuzberg is still a pretty cool spot, with a fun, social vibe, friendly, helpful staff, and some tasty looking items on their menu (just not a stop for chai).

My first impression of The Oak Grill was a bit odd. If you look at the photos of this restaurant,…read moreyou'll see a giant multi-tiered full bar. I saw several beautiful drinks on Yelp when I chose The Oak Grill. I walked in, the restaurant is polished and pretty, with the bar an obvious focal point. The server, Chloe, at the door waited for me to speak first, which is awkward to begin with, and I had to verbalize that I wanted breakfast. I mean... why else would I be walking into your restaurant? She explained I order there at the front counter and the food would be brought out to me. That's fine. I asked if they have mimosas and she looked at me and goes, "Mimosas?" Um, yes. Mimosas. She said "Yeah, technically, but it's up to the person working up here if they *want* to make you a drink or not. I mean, technically I'm not a bartender." I seriously almost just walked out based on that answer. You have a full bar, you serve alcohol, but only if the cashier wants to make you a drink? Is the rest of the menu also based on the cashier's discretion? Are you capable of pouring champagne and a splash of orange juice into a glass? There are 5 employees milling about, and none of them are bartenders? So... I'm not impressed by the service here and based on that alone I won't be back. I'm just gonna drink this mimosa, wait for my chilaquiles, ask for a box and bounce. I'm irritated I just paid $50 (yes, $50 for chicken chilaquiles and one begrudgingly made mimosa cost me $50) to feel like I inconvenienced them coming in. I didn't ask for a side order of apathy with my breakfast, and for that price, I'm sure I can find an actual bartender.
